Alphabet Prompt #10: Jolt

1, 2, 3, 4--

"Breathe! Breathe! Breathe! C'mon, dad! C'mon!!"

"Charlie, try and stay calm. He might be able to save him!"

14, 15, 16--

Alastor pushed his interlaced palms rhythmically into Lucifer's unmoving chest. Charlie was trying to keep her hysterics under control while Vaggie tried her best to soothe her. She was also on standby to take over in case Alastor got too tired to continue.

"-29, 30!"

He bent over, tipped the angel's head back, pinched his nose closed and breathed long and deep, filling Lucifer's lungs with life giving air.

"One!" Another breath. "Two--"

Lucifer coughed weakly, taking a shaky breath, the first on his own in over three minutes.

"He's breathing!"

Charlie dashed to her dad's side, wanting so badly to hug him tight but knew that it wouldn't do him any good until his breathing stabilized more. Instead, she cradled him gently, brushing her hands through his hair while her tears of relief fell onto his cheeks like fresh rain.

A weak smile from Lucifer. "Hey, Char Char."

Then his gaze fell to Alastor who was slipping back into his jacket. "You know...CPR is...a lot less sexy...than movies make it...seem. I think you...cracked my ribs."

Alastor couldn't restrain the barking laugh that ripped through him.

Is anyone else confused by how the box office works for movies and what makes a movie a “flop” because I’m very confused. I adore Fall Guy and really want to see it succeed and it sounds like it’s doing well as it’s been #1 box office spot for two weeks running yet because it didn’t surpass the cost it took to produce the movie on its first weekend it’s a “flop”? Why does everything need to be some mega blockbuster hit to be considered a success? The movie has great reviews, anytime I see anyone talk about it it’s extremely positive, and it’s an incredibly entertaining and uplifting movie. I’m tired. Anyways, rant over. Go see Fall Guy it’s a great movie you won’t regret it!

Fascinating how Bob takes on a similar role that Jolt has in the Thunderbolts comics:

- Both go through scientific experiments

- Both are just really happy for being there

- Both have no idea what's going on because their respective teams are keeping them in the dark. In Jolt's case, the fact that The Thunderbolts are the Masters of Evil. In Bob's case, the fact that he almost destroyed New York and doesn't remember.
