What your thoughts on Pakistani cinema?
hi anon. i'm hopeful that with the success of the legend of maula jatt, we'll continue to see interesting movies from pakistan. i grew up watching pakistani dramas and was always confused as to why lollywood didn't make a lot of movies (from my understanding, it's undue censorship that hindered the progress). the first film i remember seeing back in the day was bol (cause i saw a poster of it and atif was on it :D). i didnt know the plot, so i was amazed by it. my standards were set very high from the start! i'm always excited to see talented actors i grew up watching in roles outside of just family dramas. there's immense potential for artistic growth that a web series like churails has already demonstrated. it's a shame that more people haven't seen existing gems like cake, ramchand pakistani, dukhtar and many more. i'm also looking forward to kamli and joyland. and hopefully to much more!

The various characters had equally captivating stories to tell.
Tumblr media
This little guy put up a good show.
Tumblr media
Mehreen Jabbar did a great job as a director. I think women have the innate quality to do things in a way that touches the heart.

Apart from the lead, this was my favorite character. The character lets her kindness take over her caste prejudices.
Overall, it was one ♡ of a film.

32 Underrated Female Actors of Bollywood
On December 2 of 2019, I posted my “32 Underrated Male Actors of Bollywood” list. In that post, I promised an underrated female actors list soon, and after two long months, I finally got to finishing it. The biggest reason why it took such a long time for me to put this up (apart from spending more time on my other posts) was that there was just way too many unnoticed talents to mention. Pakistani film recommendation: Ramchand Pakistani If you want to find out the kind of movies Pakistan is producing now a days, check out Ramchand Pakistani. It is directed by my favorite director Mehreen Jabbar, also the director of dramas Daam, Mata e Jaan, Coke Kahani, etc. The movie is about a hindu Pakistani boy that accidentally crosses the Pakistan-India border and lands himself in an Indian prison. The movie doesn't make a political statement, Mehreen is all about showing humanism in her stories. It also stars one of my fav Indian actress Nandita Das who is good friends with Mehreen. She often visits Pakistan for India-Pak dosti initiatives. You guys will fall in love with the boy that plays Ramchand and Nandita Das. Ramchand Pakistani is a Pakistani Urdu film that tells a true story about a boy who inadvertently crosses the border between Pakistan and India and the following ordeal that his family has to go through.
The crossing of the Pakistan-India border takes place during a period (June 2002) of extreme, war-like tension between the two countries by two members of a Pakistani Hindu family belonging to the 'untouchable' Dalit caste, and the extraordinary consequences of this unintended action upon the lives of a woman, a man, and their son. The singular theme of the film is how a child from Pakistan aged eight years learns to cope with the trauma of forced separation from his mother while being held prisoner, along with his father in the jail of a country i.e. India, which is hostile to his own, while on the other side of the border, the wife-mother, devastated by their sudden disappearance builds a new chapter of her life, by her solitary struggle for sheer survival. The film portrays a true picture of how the people living close to the border unknowingly cross border and how they are used by both the nations as pawns to negotiate and prove each others point.

Next on the cards is... “more content. I’m developing more short films, world content. There are a few feature films in different stages. The idea is to give a break to as many talents as possible.
