He’s currently married. He has a wife: Razorwife or Mrs. Razorbeard. she’s only appeared in Rayman M/ Rayman Rush/ Rayman Arena.
Razorbeard does love his wife very much, even if the marriage has been rocky lately. They bicker very often nowadays. He respects his wife greatly and will often go out of his way to make sure she knows he still loves her, even with the constant bickering they do.
Razorwife was never interested in his profession and tries to stay out of that and is considered neutral affiliation. Razorbeard respects that and still adores his wife. Sometimes he will send her when it comes to peaceful negotiations with other factions.
Razorwife is the person that will try to make sure the slaves onboard the prison ship get food and water. If she finds out the slaves were not fed or given water, she will get violent and get the rolling pin. If they go complain to Razorbeard after, he just tells them to get out of his cabin.
Razorbeard likes to spoil his wife with presents whenever he can afford it. Much of the gold he's made over time is spent on her.
If Razorbeard finds out you were trying to take advantage of or harass his wife, you are as good as dead. Once he gets his hands on you they will NEVER find your body. He will make it slow and as painful as possible.
“Fleabitten fairytale creatures, pansy fairies and hilbilly frogs and what even is ‘e...” he spat “Circus freak! Lucrative too! And some rusty bucket let ‘im get away!”
Razorbeard needed to punish that rusty bucket, he needed to come up with a plan, he needed to oil his joints and to top it off he needed fuel.
Razorbeard stormed off towards his colossal hoard of drink, and came back chugging a bottle, the sweet liquid cool and soothing, if an imperfect fuel source.
If only someone could take the load off.
Indeed as he belched a puff off smoke and the spark of his engine relit (and perhaps a slight drunkeness set in), a spark of an idea lit within.
I need a wife, yes, someone t' love me! Obey me! Until death do us part!
Razorbeard strutted to his microphone, yellow eyes alight with inspiration.
Been finally able to draw her again but only this time, I'm making her official in my Sun Setted / Meadow AU as I'm reworking it rn. Please note that this is only a rough concept of the character and things are bound to change.
Meet Cutlypso, Admiral of the Steelrens. She's a temptress at best but ruthless at heart... or if she has one. She's actually the reimagined take on Razorwife because I really didn't like her name nor her design most of all. Plus, I wanted to flesh her out and took my au as an opportunity to do so.
Her hair is sharp and flexible so she can style it as she wishes, and she does actually wear her coat properly- it's there for show. Again, things will change when I actually make a full ref of her and I'm sure it's gonna be a pain because I wanted to include other details like jewelry or golden embroidery on her coat. She's highly maintained and very flamboyant that way.
That's basically much it. Can't wait for the final product, wish me luck until then.
Rayman Head Canons: Canon Character voice claims part 3:
Welcome back to another episode of Rayman head canons, Canon character voice claims PART 3
Ly the fairy:
Ly was another that had what I thought was different voice acting between the Great Escape and Revolution. The voice I have for Ly is the revolution one, echo effect and all.

Grand Minimus/Most Male Teensies:
The actual Grand Minimus. As in the real king of the teensies.
I had to do…a lot of deep research for this one here and I am still not sure if i have the actual guy here correct. As there was actually a number of uncredited roles when i was looking for this one. This one was one of the uncredited voices here according to my research.
According to what i found while I was doing my deep research, the uncredited voice for ALL the teensies in this game and tend to be the versions I use voice wise for most of the males, including the one I specifically picked for Grand Minimus here in the projects, they were supposedly all done by Matt Hill.
-I cover Matt Hill more in depth in a Behind the Voice Actors post-
There were a LOT of teensies within Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc. Many of them with different versions of voice takes and overall accents. They all sound quite a bit similar to each other minus the teensie doctors, which for the record, I can’t find any names to credit for those three bozos and they DID have places within Rayman Retold.
The Matt Hill teensie voice you hear Minimus use is this specific one from the end of Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc’s intro level:

King Gumsi:
The child brat -i mean- king of the knaaren people! I wanted to use the one and only from Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc since THAT is the Gumsi we know about and I still use.
Guys, I looked everywhere for this. I looked all over the internet for this. I searched imdb, I searched the behind the voice actor site, and I of course scoured the Raywiki’s. I SEARCHED EVERYWHERE ON THE INTERNET AND GOT THE SAME RESULT!
You know how I mentioned in the Grand Minimus section that there were A LOT of uncredited roles or simply “Additional” voice roles?
well…uh…
UH…
Yeah, I have to use a voice clip sample here. Guys? If you watch my voice head canon/Voice Claim posts and you can provide me with some sources that prove this was a voice actor for some of these. PLEASE HIT ME UP, I BEG YOU!
Allow me to use my favorite clip as a voice reference:

Razorwife:
This includes an image reference because Razorwife is a bit on the obscure side of Rayman game characters, since she only had one appearance. Well if we wanna get technical: it was three, but these were all various console/region versions of the SAME game. Rayman M/Rayman Arena/Rayman Rush. Razorwife is the wife of the infamous Admiral Razorbeard and she appeared with him in these games not only as your opponent, but as an unlockable playable character in these games depending on the version you had.
Razorwife did appear within Rayman Retold. She was going to be an important character within the plot lines that include her husband, Razorbeard.
There’s another reason I included a image of the character here. I have a feeling most of you know EXACTLY where I’m going with this one with the voice claim
…Julie Kavner. if you don't know who Julie Kavner is, you probably do know the character she voiced:
rayman arena is the perfect game to study to understand psychological warfare.
in the race mode, the song that plays is the theme song of whoever is in first place. the longer they are in first place, the longer their theme plays, and the more advanced and just grandiose it gets.
some of the music is straightforward enough. rayman gets a little banjo theme, razorbeard and the henchman 800 get cool rock solos, the teensies get whimsical little magic man tunes.
but then there’s razorwife, because they had to give razorbeard a wife.

rock opera.
rock opera that gets more and more grandiose the longer they’re in the lead.
rock opera that matches the theme of the track aesthetics you’re on.
its so beautiful. i love it. i love it SO MUCH. i mained razorwife. my friends and family hated me. they wanted to hear razorbeard’s cool guitar. they tried getting REALLY GOOD at the game. but they never could stop me.
