A God of sound or Instrument to the universe.        Music appeal lies its ability to connect with peoples empathy and compassion. Political music draws this passion towards a cause or act. As musicians and popular artists realize the power they have to inspire action, musical activism will grow. Music crosses all boundaries and all languages and all countries

All the songs on this project were made a year ago. Since then, [insert cliché about self-improvement]. ‘C H I L L’ is a portrait of my experience during my late teens; feelings of restriction, angst, sexual tension, and isolation give it its depth and texture. It’s a concept project, be weary of its reoccurring literary themes and all that jazz if you feel so inclined to look (or listen) further. ‘Blah, blah, blah’ Upon reflection I’ve realized that ‘C H I L L’ means more than a personal project, it is a product... If I am an object working within the laws of the universe then I am affected by its occurrences. I am an occurrence... like a wave. ... more than a personal project, a product. A product of the Nacirema. The pursuit of happiness and all the agony that comes with it. A lack of resources? No I’ve had plenty. Yet something seems to be missing... community? compassion? music? god? The point is, or at least might be, that comfort without contrast is uncomfortable. There is no up without down. That sitting by myself most days, browsing the internet watching documentaries, porn, music videos, gifs, and all the learning that was (is being) done, was not for nothing. Though being trapped in my house most of the time or busy with whatever extra circular activities that I was barely mentally invested in, it gave me time to be by myself. A huge advantage. A resource often overlooked and/or stiffened by various social forces. I had the opportunity to develop an awareness of my own mental processes; self-awareness. Because of this I was able to overcome the anger and depression and irrational rage I would be consumed by at a younger age. It was directed to something that could benefit not only myself but other people as well. With my music, I hope to inspire and encourage the develop of people’s awareness of their own ‘selves’ in whatever way they experience it. Because I take this seriously, I didn’t want to just release my project without a foundation behind it. Though I live a different life now than I did, it feels right that I waited for a little while. I have helped for a company called ‘Real Ideal’, another personal project. This brand will serve as a platform for not only myself but for those we work with as well. The goal of the company is simply this: ‘to raise global, local, and self awareness’... I’d elaborate if I had more time but I have to head to Seattle so I can chill larger today and celebrate the American Dream, the one I was adopted into.
