here it is, my final kochanski cosplay from syd supernova!! so happy with how it turned out >o<

a few details about this cosplay:

- ONE WHOLE PERSON RECOGNISED WHO I WAS! i was hoping for more but one is good. he fully came up and said “i’m sorry, are you kristine kochanski from red dwarf?”. he recognised my london jets tote bag too teehee

- she wears a watch! i didn’t even notice! mines not as chunky as hers though

- the bazookoid buttons don’t work :(

- i was going to wear a wig but couldn’t style one in time

- the bazookoid was so awkward to carry around, but i’m sure i looked cool as fuck

but ya that’s all! super fun to cosplay her and probably will again, but my main priority now is decking out a full ghostbusters cosplay. wish me luck 🤞

But yeah hehe take some ComicCon Liverpool photos because I cosplayed Arnold Rimmer and I'm so happy with how it turned out! 😭 It's not 100% accurate because I had to use stuff I had in the house but still, I am really pleased with it and I hope you guys like it too :D <33

Also I picked up some new little friends on image 5 and 6! It's Kryten and Holly and I got them from "Pam's Happy Hats" :)

listers whole personality and look is so authentically cool, his hair and clothing etc.

whereas, rimmer dresses exclusively smartly/professionally (which is grossly unauthentic considering he has no rank whatsoever)

theres just something about the juxtaposition of those aesthetics which makes rimster as a ship so appealing.

Would anyone with better knowledge of the different types of clothes fastenings be able to point me in the right direction towards getting something that would work to create the ones Rimmer has in his s6/7 jacket?

The s7 ones are quite prominent while the s6 versions are a little more concealed

They look like some sort of hooking clasp or something but in my preliminary quick searches I haven’t found anything that looks quite right yet so perhaps I’m looking for the wrong thing;;

Any help finding something that would work would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

kochanski cosplay is coming along well! just need to get a vest, a watch (which i didn’t even realise she wore) and maybe some blue contacts and then i’m done!

also still waiting on the bazookoid to be sanded and painted, but here’s an update if anyone’s interested :D (with junkrat for size reference)

i’ve also made a bazookoid license to clip onto my pants (cause i need to show i’m legally carrying ykyk)

for the fictional character ask game post you shared; i feel like you know a lot about lister from red dwarf (i'd go as far as to say he's prolly ur fav)

it's true he is my fave I even have 2 of his shirts. I could easily fill an hour, maybe 2, talking about him

Found the first moodboard I made when creating the gauntlet. It seems I wanted it to be dripping with gold more than the final version came out. Left to my own devices I channel the sun and can end up loosing reality. The moon is also vital to my energy too. I do have to hold that I wanted some big old 80s sfx hands on it. I loved Kryten from Red Dwarf as a kid, like in a personality forming way.
