The Use of Force, by William Carlos Williams
From the story, William depicts the difficulties that people have towards separating their emotions and standards. The doctor’s behavior towards the girl and the young patient’s reaction emphasizes the subject of this discussion. However, the use of ethos, the narrator portrays his character as a credible doctor in the story. The character of both the patient and the doctor reveal a plausible issue comparable in real life. During this period there is and epidemic of diphtheria, which worsens the situation forcing the doctor to take aggressive measures in treating his patient.

Of fish, flies, dogs women By Timothy R. Montes
In this story my reflection is illustrates that being in burden or hopelessness is not the conclusion of your line in life. But being dedicated, keen and brave will lead you some place to victory you don’t ordinarily expect.

Nine: Self care
“Taking care of myself does not mean “me first” it means “me too” - L.R. Knosts
There are days where we feel stressed; overwhelmed, emotional, sensitive, tired , where we have a deep desire for the pain of stress to end. Days as if it so long ang as if it never ends, indeed agonizing experiences. Days as if it was specially created to torment you.
Don’t forget that you are human not a robot, giving yourself permission to unplug and regroup without feeling guilty. You cannot be there for others if you don’t take care of yourself first. Rest and Self care are so important - I have learned and continue to learn the art of self care, and it is also such a magnificent form of self love. when things feel as if it all too much - I stop and take a deep breath then meditate, sometimes I would even spend the day just reading and taking in my favorite food without guilt, I would even sleep the entire day and night, cry and even have a melt down to release the bottled up pain then do a pep talk , or I’d go treat myself shopping or to the spa, it all depends. When you take time to replenish your spirit it allows you to serve others from the over flow, caring for your mind, body and spirit is the greatest and grandest responsibility
There are times when I feel as if I have nothing left to do and not doing anything productive as my usual routines, it makes me feel anxious. But sometimes relaxing is the most productive thing a person can do.
Self care is about getting your power back when you are drained from the exhaustions of daily life, itt is about listening to the needs of your soul and then honoring them.

CHAPTER 3
Reflection about An Anthropological Conceptualization of Self: The Self as Embedded in Culture.
With this chapter at hand, I was able to recognize what the field of anthropology can contribute to the understanding of the self; how it also advocates an extensive definition of self as the totality of what an organism is physically, biologically, psychologically, socially, and culturally.
I was able to understand how culture and self are complementary concepts: like how A family's cultural values shape the development of its child's self-concept: Culture shapes how we each see ourselves and others. For example, some cultures prefer children to be quiet and respectful when around adults. Each family influences a child's self-concept within their cultural context.
We were also able to discuss the cultural construction of the self and social identity, and explain the concept of identity struggles in life.
For example; Someone with codependency may rely on others' opinions to form their sense of self.
Someone with depression may falsely believe they are "worthless" or unloved.
Someone with delusions of grandeur might believe they are a spiritual figure or a celebrity. And most importantly, I was able to develop insights on how to achieve a sense of self, situated in multicultural and dynamic situations.

This a reflection paper about "Who Moved My Cheese? by Dr Spencer Johnson". I like this book because it tackles "change" which is often not a very easy topic to talk about. Change is constant but some people are not comfortable with change. Some people prefers to stay inside their bubble. Some people tackles change head-on.

Reflections
I wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about attending Wilfredo Pascual’s talk regarding Creative Non-Fiction. This is because most of the writing seminars that I have attended do not offer anything new regarding how to write and what it means to write that specific genre. Needless to say, I don’t regret attending Wilfredo Pascual’s talk. I left the event feeling fulfilled and satisfied.
Noreen Domingo’s exhibit also did not disappoint. Honestly, I wasn’t excited primarily because of the aspect of attending an exhibit. I was excited because I’d be able to go to Philippine High School for the Arts once again. However, upon arriving and hearing the stories she had to share about a culture that I have not witnessed and/or experienced, my interest was immediately piqued, and I read and listened.
Both events made me realize that writing is personal. I have had this thought for years now. However, I felt like the realization only sank in after attending each event when I reflected on my writing. When writing about a person, place, or event that has had a significant impact or is close to the heart, the results can widen one’s view on life by learning, understanding, and realizing something from the text not only for the author, but also for the reader. Lastly, writing takes time—a lot of time. A current event or emotion may compel you to write, but the contents would be of memories that had happened a long time ago. You would reminisce and then realize that different strings of events had lead to this moment, allowing you to see what has changed and remained constant in (your) life that may either give you peace about the event that triggered you to write, or it may shake your soul and compel you to write once more.

B| #6 (MIT)| “Career Guidance talk” #TaraLetsMangarap #REFLECTIONPAPER
Dr. Selesthe Bilog-Cahiwat, RGC. It was inspiring that a RGC was talking in front of us and helping us decide or to lead us and see our dreams. I have learned many things from Dr. Selesthe, Career is the course that one’s life takes as determined by the choices we make but Job here, is what a person does from day to day according to one’s job position or function. And the value of both differs from each individual. I wanna make money someday, but also I wanna pursue what I want and it made me realize that I have to focus where I am best. And I don’t like teaching, I love it. “In the end, is your education leading you somewhere? or are you just going with the flow without a plan” I guess I know where my river will take me. And I am confident now because I reassured to myself that I will pick what I want and live my life to the fullest. GIF CREDITS TO: ALEXIS CEDROOO

Breathe by alessandra gonzales summary
I hope someday you will change your mind, he said. I did not answer as I pulled the knob of the door leading to his hotel room. The door hinge was loose, the wooden frame warped, and it was hard to close the door properly. Just leave it, he said. He enveloped my hand with his and we walked down the dimly lit hallway.

Seven : Political & Digital Self
September 11,2020
My people and My country has suffered for centuries, though we had our prime we have fallen many times. We may have fallen but we get back up. My country has been one of the most unequal societies in our continent , the rich have become richer, the middle class has grown but remains insecure, and about one-quarter of the population remains poor. As citizens, As Individuals and as humans, I believe that instead of protecting our self interests and desires, we should protect the national interest and do our part. We blame the government and fight against our own countrymen for who supports who and the crab mentality arising thus pulling others down for their opinions specifically political ones. I am guilty of giving up on my country and its people, I have lost hope once, but I have learned from my mistakes of blaming. I realized that I should do my part as well for I am a puzzle piece in society, to always do good and to be open with different perspectives.
My country has the highest usage of social media. I myself have my fair share of usage and well I used to post, share, react and other things you can do in social media. When I realized that social media has created a jealous behavior of illusions, Social media is an illusion, this is only a facade of people and yet it killed people, friendships, values and morals of others.I have refrained from it as much as I could, keeping my life private and disconnect to connect with myself and the people in my life. I will not deny that through Social media we are connected to those far from us, and somehow I hope that people will use it to a certain moderation. I hope it will not come to a point when people finally look up their screens and truly open their eyes for the first time, it wont be too late to notice what is really happening to our nation. I hope that Social Media will be used more to unveil truths and what truly matters. I hope that people shall also value discretion and privacy and live more outside their screens.

(Mini playground in our village) Privilege under scrutiny episode 01 I just got home from my 8 hour excursion to Manila. Today is the first time I commuted to and from Manila alone and it is definitely an experience. I know I live a soft, unencumbered life and just how much this excursion affected me is evidence of that. I just have to marvel at Filipino patience in the face of logistical shortcomings (to put it mildly) and lines that stretch on for miles. I am also amazed at how students and nuns and the everyday citizen can walk by shady streets in the light of day, knowing pick pockets are walking among them, and having to face the smog, the noise, the threatening danger, and the colorful chaos of manila day after day after day. I am reminded of Sisyphus, his rock, and his mountain. The moment I stepped through the gates of my village, the relief at being home-safe, and finally able to let my guard down struck me and affected me deeply. I am so lucky to have this to get home to everyday. Commuting always manages to ground me, humble me, and encourage me to appreciate the quiet, the safety, the green in my home-the amount of luck I have received in being born in the family I was born in through fate or chance. It is so easy forget what we already have in the obssession to get those things we do not. #windingdownthoughts #reflectionpaper #manila #prc #boardexam #gratitude
