It really wasn’t meant for this boy, the bucket of syrup that had ended up emptied on his head as he entered the store. She had been seriously ripped off and as the owner stepped out, she had decided to plot her revenge...Little did she realize, someone else was still able to head inside. Currently, she was cupping her hands over her mouth and shaking her head, “That ah...That had nothing to do with me...I am just...A customer. An innocent customer.”

She laughed nervously and attempted to slide past him and out of the building, “Have a great day, huh? Sucks to be you right now. Really feel sorry for you, okay bye!”

║Hey. You.║ Mary turned to face the stranger who sat beside her on the other side of the park bench, greeting them with a small nod of her head, as if to confirm that she was indeed talking to them. At first, it might have been a little unclear as to why she had broken the silence, for she simply sat and stared for a solid minute or so before continuing, hesitation in her voice. ║You got a moment? I need an honest opinion on something.║ Something that had sat on the forefront of her mind for the past few days.

There was no real reason in particular that she had chosen him. Really, it was just that he happened to be there. He seemed, well, not modern but... comfortable with the city? So maybe there was that. Maybe is was a reach. It wasn’t as though Mary considered herself to be an outstanding judge of such things. Still. If there were better candidates to ask, well, she didn’t see any such people nearby.

Noticeably hesitating for a few moments, she finally voiced her question.

║...Are pirates still popular these days?║

║If you don’t know, that’s fine. I was just curious.║ Mary shrugged, looking away from the man. She was obviously self-conscious about the unusual nature of her question, despite seeking an answer to it.

Citta Academy training grounds—a place Korra had not yet visited until now. Sure, she was under the tuition of Itachi but she didn’t want to learn from just one person therefore she found herself in the middle of the grounds, weighing up certain weapons which far surpassed her wooden staff she’d been given upon arrival.

Footsteps behind her meant she was no longer alone. The Avatar turned, her hand still grasping a large spear-type weapon as she confronted the stranger. “Sorry, was I interrupting? I was just lookin’… I’ve never been here before… in fact…” She looked around then with a shrug of her shoulders she continued. “I didn’t even know this place existed. Do you work here?”

Sion brought her gun down, the bullets only making a dent on the aluminum can she set up as a target. Her eyes narrowed as she knelt down, examining the damage. Sion had yet to learn exactly what dangers this city held, but even against regular thugs, the weapon given to her would do as nothing more than a distraction. And she didn’t even have to make calculations to realize that her physical enhancements would be nonexistent. After all, even passive abilities like her Thought Acceleration and Memory Partition were restricted in some capacity. For the first time since becoming an alchemist, Sion was at the level of a normal human.

A sound from behind caused Sion to stand, pointing the toy gun at the stranger headed towards her. Even if it was just a BB gun, it looked real enough from a distance. Hopefully it would be enough to deter the stranger, should he wish to cause her harm.
