asg mattdrai hook up and then get stuck in a time loop… idk if it’s better if just one of them is stuck in a time loop or both of them end up repeating the same day over and over until they realize that the only once that acts differently is the other lol
oh. my. fucking. god.
yes. 1000 times yes.
I have so many other lil ideas that won't leave my head in the works, but I absolutely ADORE this idea because there's just SO MUCH that you could do with it. Also consider: it being the ASG, but instead of the St Louis one, it's actually the Florida one after Matthew goes to the Panthers.
Love love love the idea that they're both repeating the same day over and over and maybe they don't realize it for the first couple of repeats until one of them does something different/isn't in the right spot at the right time and the other one immediately clocks it. Cue a really painfully awkward talk where they both realize that they’ve both been in the time loop for the better part of a week and while they both kept trying different things to get out of it, the one thing they consistently kept doing was hooking up with each other at the end of the night.
And like, at first it's really fun, because maybe Matthew had originally been lowkey freaking out about sleeping with Leon because he’s never done that - never fucked someone who actually knew who he was - but Leon knows and doesn’t care. In fact, he still wants him. Is like “the sex is good, yeah? Maybe we should keep doing that.” So for a few more days, they keep fucking around. Keep fucking. Get so good at knowing how the ASG is going to go that even playing hockey isn't all that fun anymore.
Finally they’re like “okay this is great and all, but I wanna get out of here.”
Matthew is convinced that there’s some sort of lesson that they’re supposed to learn. Something they’re supposed to do. He thinks about he’d actually been nervous to proposition Leon because it was giving into this side of himself that he’s never shared with anyone remotely close to him, not even Brady. So he decides that clearly, he's stuck in this time loop because it's supposed to give him the courage to finally come out to his family. (Leon is encouraging to him, too, because he's already out to his family and Connor and most of the team, which Matthew is secretly super jealous of.) Leon encourages him to do what makes him comfortable, so Matthew does baby steps, coming out to Barky, then Brady, then finally his parents. Maybe, Leon offers to be there as moral support when he comes out to his dad, and maybe, his dad doesn't take it very well and Leon is there to defend him. They obviously fuck their feelings out about it after.
But still, they're stuck in this time loop, so Matthew is like "okay well clearly my idea didn't work - what about you? What lesson do you have to learn?" And Leon's like "to be honest I just really want some fucking time off". Maybe opens up to Matthew about how much pressure he's constantly under in Edmonton, how winning a cup, feeling responsible for Connor finally reaching that milestone is just weighing on him so much. And of course Matthew is like, "Bro why the fuck do you think I left Calgary to come to a city that feels like vacation all the time? I get it. So let's give you a vacation."
So they play hooky and skip the ASG. Turn off their phones and go down to the beach. Go fishing. Get on a flight and go somewhere else for the day, fall asleep in another state and wake up back in sunrise the next morning because OF COURSE THEY DO, they're still stuck in the fucking time loop. Matthew sneaks them into the Panthers' practice facility and plays with him, one on one, to remind him what he loves about hockey. Tells him, "fuck it, we could probably get to Germany if you wanted to go see your family" and realizes partway through coming up with more and more of these elaborate "vacation" plans just to make Leon smile that they're becoming more and more like dates. Realizing that he really doesn't mind that.
And STILL, it doesn't break them out of the time loop.
But then one of them (Matthew or Leon, jury's out cause honestly either narrative is great) realizes that they've been doing all of this stuff in the safety and the comfort of the time loop. That maybe, in order to get out of it, they have to commit to doing it when their actions have consequences and when they can't just get a free do-over. They fight about it, because either one or both of them is scared of committing to that (for Leon, it could be realizing that he doesn't want to be in Edmonton for life, that hockey can't be everything for him, and for Matthew, it's realizing that he can't keep hiding who he really is and that's terrifying for both of them). But obviously they decide it's worth it, that THEY'RE worth it, and BOOM, time loop broken. (and you know, of course they fall in love along the way)
...okay so like. I really want to fucking write this whole fic. I'm open to more fun little plots or ideas for it too, oh my GOD.
feel free to prompt me more shit:
I wish you would write a fic where…
#THIS WILL NOT LEAVE MY HEAD OMFG#this is going in my list of fics to write FOR SURE#also theres a bunch of these in my inbox rn and I'll get to them all eventually!#ask meme thing#mattdrai#FUCK DID I MENTION HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS???

Boost Your Business: 8 Tips for Thriving in a Coworking Space in Calgary
In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing business landscape, more professionals are turning to coworking spaces for flexibility, affordability, and community. Whether you're a freelancer, startup owner, or part of a small team, coworking environments can offer an ideal balance between productivity and networking. But to truly make the most of a shared office setup, you need more than just a desk and Wi-Fi.
If you’re working out of a coworking space in Calgary, it’s important to approach each day with the right mindset and strategy. With the right habits and approach, you can turn your workspace into a launchpad for growth.
Here are 8 practical tips to help you thrive in a coworking space and grow your business in Calgary.
1. Set Clear Goals and Structure Your Day
A coworking space offers the flexibility to design your own schedule, but without structure, it’s easy to get sidetracked. Start your day by setting clear, realistic goals and time blocks for specific tasks. Whether it's responding to client emails, holding a virtual meeting, or developing a marketing plan, assigning time slots helps keep you on track.
Use a planner or digital tool to prioritize your workload. Sticking to a daily routine gives you more control over your productivity and reduces the risk of burnout—especially when the energy around you fluctuates.
2. Take Advantage of Networking Opportunities
One of the biggest advantages of being in a coworking space is the chance to meet other professionals. Don’t be shy—introduce yourself, start a conversation in the kitchen, or attend events hosted by your Calgary business centre.
These casual conversations often lead to collaborations, client referrals, or simply helpful advice from others who’ve faced similar business challenges. Be approachable and open-minded; you never know who you’ll meet and what opportunities may arise from those interactions.
3. Choose the Right Coworking Space
Not all coworking spaces are the same. Some are geared toward tech startups, while others are better suited for creative professionals or remote workers. Before committing to a membership, take the time to tour different locations and consider what each one offers.
Look for amenities like high-speed internet, meeting rooms, comfortable lounges, and reliable office equipment. Think about your working style too—do you need a quiet space to focus, or do you thrive in a lively, collaborative atmosphere? Finding the right fit can make a huge difference in your overall experience.
4. Establish Healthy Work-Life Boundaries
One challenge of flexible work environments is the temptation to blur the lines between personal and professional life. Just because your coworking space is accessible 24/7 doesn’t mean you should work nonstop. Set clear boundaries and designate time for breaks, meals, and rest.
It’s easy to overwork when you’re surrounded by driven individuals, but balance is key to long-term success. Give yourself permission to step outside for a walk, enjoy lunch with a fellow coworker, or take a moment to unplug and reset.
5. Use the Amenities to Your Advantage
Coworking spaces in Calgary are often well-equipped with amenities designed to make your workday more efficient and enjoyable. Make use of the conference rooms for client meetings or virtual calls. Leverage shared printers, phone booths, and coffee stations when needed.
These services are included for a reason—they’re there to support your business and create a smooth workflow. By fully utilizing the resources available, you can save time and money compared to managing everything on your own.
6. Build Your Brand Presence
Working from a coworking space doesn’t mean you have to keep a low profile. Take the opportunity to build your personal or business brand. Whether it’s through hosting workshops, sponsoring a community lunch, or showcasing your services on the shared noticeboard, get your name out there.
Many coworking spaces offer platforms or newsletters where members can promote their work. Participate in these opportunities and let others know how you can add value. When people within your space know what you do, they’re more likely to refer you or collaborate with you.

7. Stay Focused Despite Distractions
Coworking spaces naturally have more activity and noise than a private office, which can sometimes impact focus. If you’re someone who gets easily distracted, come prepared. Bring noise-canceling headphones, use productivity apps, or find a quiet corner of the space to work during your deep-focus hours.
It's also helpful to let others know when you're in heads-down mode. A simple signal like wearing headphones or a polite message can prevent interruptions and help you stay productive during critical work periods.
8. Continuously Learn and Improve
Many coworking spaces offer more than just desks—they’re hubs of innovation, learning, and growth. Stay informed about upcoming events, seminars, or training sessions hosted at your Calgary coworking location. These events often feature local experts, business leaders, and industry professionals sharing valuable insights.
Use these opportunities to sharpen your skills, ask questions, and stay on top of industry trends. Even casual lunch-and-learns can provide you with knowledge or ideas that can benefit your business strategy or inspire your next move.
Why Coworking in Calgary Makes Sense
Calgary is rapidly growing as a hotspot for entrepreneurs, remote professionals, and small businesses. The city’s business culture is dynamic and supportive, with plenty of coworking options to suit every niche. Whether you’re a tech startup founder or a creative freelancer, the environment offers room to grow, collaborate, and connect.
Coworking spaces in Calgary provide an affordable, low-commitment way to operate your business while giving you access to professional amenities and community support. It’s the perfect blend of independence and inclusion, helping you grow without the overhead of a traditional office.
Final Thoughts
Thriving in a coworking space isn’t just about showing up with your laptop—it’s about being intentional with your time, energy, and relationships. By setting clear goals, making the most of your environment, and staying connected with the coworking community, you can significantly boost your business.

Here’s What You Need to Know About Getting a Battery Boost Fast
Reliable, 24/7 Help When Your Battery Fails
Let’s face it—there’s never a good time for your car battery to die. Whether it’s a freezing winter morning or a quiet Sunday night, that “click-click” sound when you turn the key is one of the most frustrating things you can hear. And in a city like Calgary, where the weather can shift quickly and you’re always just one cold snap away from trouble, a dead battery is more than an inconvenience—it can leave you stranded in an unsafe or uncomfortable situation.
That’s where Calgary Towing Truck comes in. We’re not just another roadside company—we’re your local lifeline when things don’t go as planned. From downtown parkades to residential streets to remote stretches on the outskirts of the city, we deliver fast, safe, and affordable battery boosts to get you moving again.

What Causes a Battery to Die in Calgary?
It’s easy to assume your battery will always work until it doesn’t. But in reality, car batteries face a lot of stress, especially in Alberta’s climate. Here are some of the most common causes of battery failure in Calgary:
Extreme cold: Temperatures well below freezing can slow down the chemical reactions inside your battery, making it harder to deliver power to your engine.
Infrequent driving: If your vehicle sits unused for days or weeks, the battery naturally loses charge over time.
Accidental drain: Leaving headlights, interior lights, or even a phone charger plugged in overnight can sap your battery.
Worn-out components: A bad alternator or corroded terminals can prevent your battery from charging properly.
Old age: Most car batteries last 3 to 5 years. Beyond that, they’re at high risk of sudden failure, especially in winter.
When your battery gives up, you don’t need guesswork or delay. You need a service that understands both your vehicle and your city.
Why Choose a Professional Battery Boost?
Sure, you could ask a friend or try to jumpstart your car yourself. But a DIY boost comes with its risks. One wrong connection can fry your car’s electrical system or even cause injury. And if you’re stuck in a high-traffic area at night or in bad weather, trying to handle it alone could be dangerous.

Is Calgary Business Centre Right for Your Business? Here’s What to Know
Finding the right environment for your business to grow is crucial—whether you’re a solopreneur, a small business owner, or part of a growing startup. The place you choose to work can influence your productivity, brand image, and even your daily motivation. If you're based in Alberta or considering a move to Calgary, you’ve probably come across the term Calgary Business Centre. But what is it, and is it the right fit for your needs?
In this blog, we’ll dive into everything you need to know about Calgary Business Centre and explore whether this environment aligns with your business goals. From modern amenities to flexible leasing options, we’ll break it all down so you can make an informed decision.
What is Calgary Business Centre?
At its core, Calgary Business Centre refers to a professional setting designed to support different types of businesses—whether they need private offices, meeting rooms, or coworking spaces. These centres often offer a professional mailing address, administrative support, and access to shared amenities like conference rooms, lounges, and high-speed internet.
Think of it as a modern take on traditional office space—except with more flexibility, less overhead, and better networking opportunities.
Who Typically Uses These Centres?
Calgary Business Centre environments attract a wide range of professionals:
Freelancers who want a quiet and structured place to work outside of their homes.
Startups looking for a low-commitment space with room to grow.
Remote workers who need a professional setting for meetings or presentations.
Small businesses that want a physical address without the cost of a full office.
Larger businesses that may want a satellite office in Calgary.
Because these centres are flexible and well-equipped, they suit nearly any type of business—from creative agencies to law firms.
Benefits of Choosing a Calgary Business Centre
1. Professional Image
Having a dedicated business address in a professional setting adds credibility. It signals to clients and partners that you’re serious about your operations.
2. Flexible Terms
Unlike traditional office leases, you aren’t tied down by long-term contracts. You can usually rent by the day, month, or year—whatever suits your needs.
3. Cost-Effective
Operating from a business centre can save you money. You share the cost of amenities like reception services, cleaning, Wi-Fi, and office furniture. There's no need for heavy investment in infrastructure or tech setup.
4. Access to Amenities
Modern business centres are equipped with everything from coffee bars to high-end meeting rooms. Some even offer on-site parking, fitness rooms, and kitchen facilities.
5. Networking Opportunities
Working in a shared environment exposes you to other entrepreneurs and professionals. Whether it's a quick chat over coffee or attending an on-site event, there's always a chance to collaborate or learn something new.
What About Coworking Space in Calgary?
Coworking space is a major component of many Calgary Business Centres. It's designed for individuals or small teams who thrive in a more open and collaborative environment. These spaces typically feature shared desks, hot-desking, and breakout zones that encourage creativity and interaction.
If you're someone who enjoys a dynamic and social atmosphere, coworking space in Calgary might be just what you need. It's also ideal for businesses that don’t need a permanent office but want access to professional facilities when needed.

Questions to Ask Before Making a Decision
Before jumping into any workspace commitment, it helps to evaluate your needs clearly. Here are some key questions to ask:
What’s Your Budget?
Knowing what you’re willing to spend helps narrow down your options. Business centre usually offer a range of pricing plans to accommodate different budgets.
How Much Space Do You Need?
Do you just need a desk? Or do you require private office space with room for a few employees? Some centres offer modular setups that can grow with your team.
Will You Need Meeting Rooms?
If client meetings or team presentations are frequent, you’ll want a centre with well-equipped, bookable meeting rooms.
Do You Value Community?
If networking and collaboration are high on your list, choose a space that encourages interaction through events and shared amenities.
How Important is Location?
Being close to public transit, major roads, or downtown Calgary can be a huge advantage. It’s not just about convenience—it’s also about visibility and accessibility for clients.
What to Expect When You Join
Once you’ve selected a Calgary Business Centre that fits your needs, you can typically expect a quick and easy onboarding process. Most centres allow for a same-day start, especially for coworking or hot desk access. You’ll receive logins for the Wi-Fi, get introduced to the building's amenities, and possibly meet a few neighbors.
You’ll also be introduced to the administrative staff—many centres have someone available at the front desk to greet visitors or assist with mail and packages.
Common Features You’ll Find
While every centre is a bit different, most business centres in Calgary offer a similar range of features, such as:
High-speed internet and secure Wi-Fi
Fully furnished offices and shared desks
Conference and meeting rooms with presentation tools
24/7 access for members
On-site kitchen or break room
Reception and mail-handling services
Access to printing, scanning, and copying
Networking and community events
These features are meant to support your productivity and make your work life smoother and more enjoyable.
Is It Right for You?
So, is a Calgary Business Centre the right fit for your business? That depends on your work style, goals, and budget. If you value flexibility, convenience, and a professional setting without the hassle of managing a full-scale office, then yes—it could be a great option.
For remote workers and startups, it provides structure and community. For growing businesses, it offers a scalable solution. And for anyone needing to impress clients with a clean and modern meeting space, a business centre ticks the box.
Things to Keep in Mind
Noise levels: Some coworking spaces can be busy and chatty. If you need deep focus, consider private office options within the centre.
Privacy: Open plans are great for collaboration but might lack the confidentiality required for client calls or sensitive work.
Availability: Meeting rooms and hot desks may need to be booked in advance, especially during peak hours.
Culture fit: Every centre has its own vibe. If possible, take a tour or try a day pass to see if it suits your personality and workflow.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the right space is more than just finding a desk and Wi-Fi. It’s about finding a place that helps you focus, grow your business, and feel inspired every day. Calgary is home to many options, and the variety ensures there’s something for every type of professional.
