Behold!! The first cups of coffee we have produced in the colony!!! This is probably one of the happiest days of Mechi's life. Now we can really get started on this playthrough! his hair is so fun to draw

Mechi's ideology has one relic: a laser sword. He probably read about it in ancient surveys of this planet and decided he absolutely had to have it despite only having a melee skill of 2.

Randy decided that our mechanoid-centric colony didn't need something as trivial as electricity, so it looks like Mechi will be mining and stonecutting for a little while until this passes.

Oh, and studying The Monolith, of course.

He might hate people, but I wonder if he ever wishes there was someone to talk to about his research that wasn't an itty-bitty mechanoid.

Fuck Unity (The game engine, not the concept)

They want up to TWENTY CENTS per game install, once you reach a certain number of installs.

TWENTY CENTS

Just imagine, 100 people install your game and you suddenly owe Unity 20 fucking dollars. Chances are, you haven't even made that much in profits from 100 sales.

It's time for unity to fucking die. How fucking dare they demand royalties from game devs for an engine THAT ISN'T EVEN FREE?

Hey, do you like video games?

Then you should be mad at Unity right now! They are threatening the entire gamedev industry by making sudden new rules about how they charge. This threat is serious and literally could cripple the gaming industry. As an example, the devs of Cult of the Lamb have already said they will remove their game from all stores when the new Unity rules go into place, and I doubt they are the only ones. They will HAVE to do that to protect themselves financially, they are not overreacting. There may still be time to stop Unity, either through public outcry, or legal action, but we need to spread the word.

Here is a list of games on Steam that were made with Unity and therefore could be effected by this. I'll put some of them in the tags, but it's honestly overwhelming.

Mechi has come to the very intelligent conclusion that the best course of action he could take right now is to make the Void angrier so it sends more scary things to attack us.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?), he got the plague before he could do anything stupid. Looks like he'll spend a few days curled up in bed living off coffee. Hopefully, that's the only bad thing in store for him in the near future–

A normal Rimworld player: so we're killing the dog because the colonist doesn't have the animal handling skills and it's going to eat our rations. We can't afford useless things.

Me: so the game refused to give me any queer potential colonists (and I refuse to deal with the straights and the abominations spawned without heads thanks to some broken mods), that's why this one guy survived all alone with a fucking raccoon for a year, but then the critter was killed in a raid. So of course, I built a resting place for it, with sarcophagus and fresh flowers.
