I'm glad one of us is still clear-headed enough to make a plan for what happens next, at least.

Mechi and Kwahu will get Ivy comfortable in the hospital, and freshly re-recruited Beau is going to put her dark study expertise to good use by studying that chunk of Revenant flesh. Alistair, the only sane man at the moment, is going to get to work building a containment facility and making some disruptor flare packs. We're going entity hunting. How dare that monster hurt our baby!!

Most of the time, they're actually pretty good in high-stress situations, Beau. It's just when their kid is on the line that they get antsy.

I hope Jut wakes up soon T.T

I'm less shocked about Ivy's yaoi collection and more shocked by Mechi and Irwin's yaoi collections... 🤔

Jut apologised to Beau and made good headway on reducing her resistance, but it looks like the rest of the recruitment process will be left in Ivy's capable hands after all.

Poor boy was nearly collapsed from deathrest exhaustion, so he's earned himself a nice long nap.

Despite a plethora of small, easily-hunted animals on the map, this wild kitsune decided to target the armed psycaster who's had several of his edible body parts replaced by bionics. Needless to say, Mechi won the fight, but rescued the little guy to see if we could tame him. It'd be fun to have a cutie like this prancing around the castle!

Bloody lizard people don't know when to quit. Luckily, Alistair is well-prepared. I think he got this orbital bombardment targeter from the same deserter he got his armour from (the armour that I never draw lmao), but it might have also been a gift from Arwell or Arno at some point. I'm not 100% sure.

Well, it doesn't matter where it came from. It got the job done either way. Good job, Alistair! What would we do without you? 🩵

what settings do you usually play on?

I'm a die-hard Randy Random purist, so he's my storyteller for every run. I like to have my game on Reload Anytime mode in case of mod-related issues and also because I'm not above savescumming to protect my blorbos, and I use Adventure Story mode the most, because as much as I like seeing dramatic raids and untold horrors, I also like seeing my pawns enjoy a comfortable quiet week of stonecutting and gardening while they "share thoughts about the connection between cryptosleep and eating vegetables" or whatever silly things are on their minds.

So yeah, Randy Random, Adventure Story, Reload Anytime. A fun and interesting experience that gives me time to draw stuff without stressing that I'll lose the game when I glance down at my sketchbook for a moment! 😁

Kwahu carried a badly stabbed Beau to the prison hospital while Mechi and Alistair set to work clearing up the blood on the front doorstep. Ivy usually takes charge of wardening, but considering this is a special case... perhaps Jut would be more suited to the task?

I'm sure she'll be re-recruited in no time ❤️

After all the drama of betrayal and trauma, we have slightly better news in the knowledge that our resident knights are ready to be promoted to praetors! Good job, boys. I love playing with new psycasts and psylinks.

Goodbye, prisoners with paralytic abasia! Hello, repaired relationship with Mechi's father!!! If only Lapu (and the rest of Mechi's family) had the decency to actually SHOW UP sometime so we can make use of it.

We also had other rewards, of course. Plenty of silver and a book that Ivy can stack on the shelf with the rest of her collection, even though it's nothing compared to what she's already got.

They took each other out! We don't have to deal with a siege, we don't have to deal with a mech cluster, and apparently our neighbours are pleased that we fucked up some mechanoids. All in all, it's been a very successful day!

Hmmm, what a strange quest. As men driven by curiosity and a desire to understand the world around them, I think Mechi and Kwahu would leap at the opportunity to use their psycasting talents to tune into any and every strange signal they picked up.

It's called Smutty Fanfiction, and it's on Steam. I get a good laugh out of it for sure! Ivy has amassed quite a collection at this point. Good for her!

Hehehe, that reminds me of how I once added a mod to my brother's game to prank him. It wasn't the yaoi mod, though. It was called Confusing Animal Names, and it definitely seemed to confuse him until he worked out what was going on. Sorry, bro 😁

My creepjoiner colonists are REALLY getting along! Congrats to the happy couple. I hope Beau doesn't turn out to be evil or something. I'd actually cry. Fingers crossed that her "downside" is just organ decay or some other easily manageable issue, rather than a heart-wrenching betrayal. I'm watching you, Beau. Don't hurt my boy.

Alistair continues to be an excellent craftsman, and now Mechi and Kwahu finally have a throne room they're happy with. Maybe they'll stop whining about it now.

Kwahu received a marriage proposal, which he immediately declined. I like to imagine Mechi chipped in with helpful brotherly comments, just to really annoy poor Xebrei.

Ivy's first sculpture in the new colony is... certainly something. It's probably for the best that Jut can't see it, or he'd be absolutely insufferable about it.

Could we see the skillsets of all the current characters?

You absolutely can!

Here's Mechi's skillset. He's a good all-around colonist at this point, with shortcomings in cooking (because we live off nutrient paste) and social (because ew, people).

Kwahu is pretty on par with Mechi, though he's better at socialising thanks to his role as the Moral Mechanitor (the moral guide) of the colony. I think Kwahu and Ivy do the butchering in the colony, so that's why he's got a higher cooking skill than Mechi.

Ivy is our best artist and socialite, and being raised by the Jones boys means she's especially smart as well. She helps Alistair make clothes and bionics sometimes, which helps her crafting skill. As previously mentioned, she does a lot of the butchering too, so her cooking skill is passable.

Alistair is smart, strong, and good at making things. I love him dear.

Best boy Jut with his godlike melee skills. He's good at mining and is our second-best socialiser after Ivy. I assume it's the alluring French accent that gets people to give him better trade prices. That, or the threats of psychic slaughter if you don't give him a discount 🤔

Tupelo, our paralytic phytokin lady, is very good at gardening and helping out around the hospital. Or she would be, if she could walk.

And finally, our newest creepjoiner Beau. As a dark scholar, she's got an impressive intellectual stat (much more impressive than the LAST dark scholar we had). She's also a genie, which means she's an excellent crafter. Her other skills aren't spectacular, but I'm sure she does her best.
