Rock Spring Golf Club
I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about Rock Spring Golf Club. This year, I finally made the day trip from the City to West Orange, New Jersey to play.
The course, designed by the legendary Seth Raynor, is incredible. The greens are absolutely massive, and they are generally guarded by collections of deep, picturesque bunkers. So while the tee shots are mostly fair and forgiving, you have to hit precise approach shots to score well. Overall, the course is fun, interesting, and filled with compelling angles and memorable long lag putts.
Unfortunately, I played on a cloudy day so I couldn’t capture any photos of the New York City skyline, which is usually visible from the course. Hopefully next time!

The month of May marks a transition time in Central Appalachia's forests as the canopy's vibrant green cloak closes above the forest floor, and the spring ephemerals go dormant and fade away. The forest now belongs to the ferns, fungi, mosses, and lichens, which collectively drive nature's great recycling engine. The next great spectacle, just around the corner, is the mountain laurel bloom, with a few plants already busting out their colors.
Photos from two different weekend hikes around the Cheat River Canyon (which, along with Dolly Sods and the New River Gorge, has one of the best laurel blooms in Central Appalachia).

she is introduced sitting at a table and her hair takes up the two chairs next to her. it regularly goes out of the side of the screen. she peeks out from behind a tree and her hair is visible on the other side of it. she is constantly being flanked by two giant coils floating next to her. peak character design

Edit: THE PROSHOTS OUT NOW FOR FREE!!!
youtube
Do you like horror media like Silent Hill, Stranger Things, Twin Peaks, and I Saw The TV Glow? Do you like musicals with smooth folk rock soundscapes like Rent, Spring Awakening, and Hadestown?? Do you want a musical that stars a complicated trans-femme ingenue who makes an demonic pact with her hometown's demon???
THEN YOU'LL LOVE....
TOTALED: A FOLK ROCK THRILLER!!
“Totaled: A Folk Rock Thriller” is a musical with lyrics and book by January Eyler, with music and arrangements by Neil Mclinden. Paige Chambers stumbles back into her home town of Caelum Run and makes a deal with the towns Demon in exchange for the re-animation of her friends and her “peace”. In turn, she must kill the heir to the Redfield cult, Clay Redfield. An intense B-Movie horror inspired story accompanied by a stunning folk rock soundscape. Totaled is a treat for anyone who loves a horror musical set in a remote, rural Pennsylvania ghost town.
This is one of the first full productions of its kind to be produced, directed, written, and led by trans artists. It’s also one of the first albums to ever use an equitable payment model for cast recordings, which makes sure that all of the artists whose work is featured on the album gets paid in perpetuity! Every stream supports your favorite member of the cast and crew so if you'd like to passively support a bunch of awesome trans artists please stream our album!!
The cast album is available to be streamed right now and is embedded below with the proshot being slated for released later in april, our sizzle reels from the proshot are out and also embedded in the post below! Keep an eye on The Dunwich Dolls youtube channel for more updates, trailers and other fun content!!

It outcrops near the centre of Australia in the southern part of the Northern Territory, 335 km south-west of Alice Springs. Uluru is sacred to the Pitjantjatjara, the Aboriginal people of the area, known as the Aṉangu. The area around the formation is home to an abundance of springs, waterholes, rock caves and ancient paintings. Wikipedia

There's nothing quite like a drenching spring rain, dripping from countless branches and soaking rock and humus. Each time a breeze wafts through the new spring canopy, a luminous green and trembling being, and shakes loose the clinging rain, I imagine the earth cleansing itself and embracing a timeless act of renewal. Appalachia's forests are being reborn.
Photos taken at Valley Falls State Park.
