hey all anybody wanna be cringe with me and discuss tma characters as steven universe gems

jon - heart zircon. driven by emotion more than anything else; expertly balances intelligence and practicality with being an insanely impulsive theater kid. he will totally break it all down and figure out what's going on and be smug about it but then he WILL get carried away and cause 2000 problems

martin - navel topaz. kind and sweet and manipulative and will cut you. Big and giver of the greatest hugs. not a fusion, but still sentimental, and very susceptible to loneliness.

tim - back amethyst. playful and funny and hot, but quick to become sullen and prone to holding grudges. vulnerable and afraid of being deceived; intensely driven by his past.

sasha - forehead nephrite. sensible and smart, adventurous and active. the first one we meet who turns into a monster! :D

melanie - heart ruby. like jon, acts on emotion and wears that emotion right on her face. fiery, romantic, underestimated, social, simultaneously confident and self-deprecating, and devoted to her loved ones and her principles.

basira - forehead demantoid. incredibly rational and thought-driven to the point of her emotions often being put to the side; stable and a natural leader on her own, but also quick to lean heavily on someone else's leadership when she has the opportunity.

daisy - shoulder agate. strong and tough and scary; accustomed to being in a position of power and accustomed to using that power physically, but not proud enough of it to wear it front or center. Also she's just bubbled right now she's fine she's in stasis she'll be fine it's fine

georgie - navel jasper. sticks to her guns and will do anything to protect herself & the people she cares about. feels like an outsider, esp in a rly classist environment. wants to trust her gut on most things, but often trusts reason and experience more.

elias - white created sapphire, obviously located on his eye. being a sapphire contributes to his clairvoyance and posh attitude, while the close resemblance to white diamond can contribute to his bodyhopping/possession abilities.

gertrude - located on her cheek, as she's unafraid to be ruthless but also unafraid to show remorse about some things, though i can't decide if her gem type would be lapis lazuli (terrifying and destructive even though her appearance at first glance makes you want to take care of her) or peridot (meant to be bookish and technically-minded, but also sturdy and quick to get her hands dirty)

bonus: -gerry-black pearl, located in the throat. goth icon. ily dead boy -the distortion-alexandrite, located behind the heart for michael & base of the spine for helen -leitner-coprolite -breekon&hope-topaz fusion. seriously the similarities between b&h and su's canon topaz fusion are, if you will, uncanny -not!sasha-jade cus those mofos in together alone were creepy af

Theories and Shiz on Steven Universe: Future

So in this Imma just be going through the Steven Universe: Future intro video, taking a bunch of screen shots and give my thoughts, theories, things I just like ect. I really wanted to brain barf all that’s been going through my head about it so I’m gonna do it here. This is probably a little late but whatever. First of all.

Steven’s changed to a black shirt! Assumably in reference to the one Greg used to have. Maybe it’s the same one and Greg passed it down to him?

Alright so we got our villains here. White Diamond gone pink, 2 Lapis Lazuli’s, A Steven cactus monster, A horrifying worm thing, of course Jasper, and that little dude with wings. There’s quite a bit to break down here and several possible theories. I’m gonna do my best to explain the one(s) to me that feels most solid.

I’m gonna start with that worm thing. Something noticeable is that it is the only one who moves and has the evil eye flash. Similar to Yellow in the extended intro. This tells me this dude is the main villain, the head honcho and shiz. My first theory going into things is that maybe it’s controlling them all, hence why White Diamond-

Has this pink skull thing going on and all their eye’s are glowing similar to it. Maybe it’s only white being controlled cause none of the others are pink but white is also the only one who’s actually had some color changing stuff happen to her. Another theory I’ve seen floating around that I find interesting is that the worm is Steven, just corrupted somehow.

A friend pointed out to me that she has multiple legs and is most likely a fusion. Going by the tear drop gem on her cheek, quite possibly one with Aquamarine. The other gem could possibly be Eyeball Ruby going by the color palette along with other things as I saw someone else point out.

I’m in general real excited about the Lapis’s, I dunno why I don’t even have any major theories about them or than stuff like, mmmaybe they know our Lapis??

So I realized I never did a reaction any episode of Steven Universe: Future. So... I'm going to share it now. Of all of them, up to "Fragments".

I'm not going on full analysis because I can't find a way to explain it, but this blog, @faelapis can. So, if you want to check them out, do it, it's really worth it, they can provide a great analysis of the episode, and put them in a new perspective. Or if you don't, that's fine, I guess.

I will try to make it short and simple for each one, but I think this post is gonna be long, because I don't know how to put under "Read More", sorry. So, warning for spoilers! Okay... Here it goes:

Little Homeschool: It was a nice resume of how Steven's living life, you know? Seeing the progress of what he's accomplished. Plus, his fight with Jasper was a nice part. After all, not everyone is going to agree with changes, and she showcases it.

Guidance: Amethyst really came so far from the rebellious gem that she was in Season 1. Also, I relate a lot with Steven, since he's also trying to find a new purpose for himself.

Rose Buds: That made me uncomfortable, since I've theorized to myself what would be the Rose Quartzes reaction to finding out why they were bubbled. But it did have a sweet ending, and I think they will be fine. Steven, on other hand...

Volleyball: Steven needs a lot of therapy. And I felt satisfied seeing that Pearl and V.B. found enough comfort on their situations, and V.B is starting to on, even if it's going to be a long journey.

Bluebird: Aquamarine and Eyeball suck. Seeing Alexandrite was nice, tho. Moving on.

A Very Special Episode: Rainbow Quartz! I. Love. Them. So. Much! And it was a fun episode to take a break.

Snow Day: Honestly, I felt uneasy watching this, because it looked like Steven was... Abandoned things that he liked for the sake of work. There's never going to be a "Classic Steven", but it still doesn't feel like he's being mature. It feels like he's repressing a lot of what he likes, to grow up. That's unhealthy.

Why So Blue: Lapis was amazing in this ep, and Jennifer Paz's voice is wonderful. Also, a new Lapis joined Little Homeschool!

Little Graduation: Steven desperately needs to find a way to feel relaxed with changes. And I'm sad that Lars left, but if that's what he wants... And I liked Shep! They're so cute with Sadie! X3

Prickly Pair: I felt for Steven on this one, because it's so easy for a person to hide their problems, and to backfire when trying to find a way to express how much baggage you carry. And it's wrong to dump everything onto someone who doesn't even know it. That's not the way to deal with your problems, Steven.

In Dreams: Peridot, you are my animal spirit. And I love how she became an accepting amd kind gem, and her friendship with Steven really evolved.

Bismuth Casual: I ship Bismuth with Pearl now. And Connie really grew from a girl who just looked at boats on Season 1.

Together Forever: Steven and Connie were sweet in this episode. And I really hope they still can talk to each other without feeling awkward. And I love Ruby and Sapphire, but they really screwed up on this one.

Growing Pains: I feel like I'm relating more and more to Steven, because it really is difficult to live life when a lot of it feels like it's a problem after the other, and you're the one who's expected to be the solution. And Priyanka (I hope I got her name right) was a queen here, because she actually managed to find out what's going on, and didn't just sugarcoated it. I just hope he gets the help he needs by the finale, because the next eps were rough...

Mr. Universe: Greg, I love you, but saying that Steven had it easy because he had "freedom", right to his face after what he's been through... Not a pro gamer move. I know he was trying, but still... Also, relating again to Steven for having parents who can't really help you, even if they do try. But I gotta say, it's sad that Greg's parents didn't respond to any of his letters.

Fragments: That one hurt, because bottling up that anger is draining. I know Steven wanted to let go of that anger, but those attacks weren't contained, and that's why he ended up... Shattering Jasper. I know he didn't mean it. But he needs a way to vent that doesn't involve fighting. And it pained me when she declared him "My Diamond". She also needs therapy.

So... Yeah, that's basically my reaction to each of them. I like that they are showing the consequences of Steven's adventures, because, really, no one would be able to walk away from that without mental or physical problems. I hope that he manages to get the help he needs in the finale.
