calling an author "unprofessional" bc he hates how his precious work that he spent years on being butchered is beyond madness. the thoughts, the ideas, the hard work, the inspiration, the sleepless nights, the creativity, the emotions and feelings he has put into his work being thrown out the window not once but TWICE must be heart breaking to him. he knows he doesn't have much time left on this earth and he has the RIGHT to be upset and devastated at how his legacy is being dragged through the mud and "fixed" by a bunch of pretentious narcissists that think they could do a better job than him, bc if they're doing this while he is alive imagine what they would do when he isn't.

Nearly all the Northern lore facts were wrong
Torrhen didn't bend the knee at the Wall, he bent the knee at the Trident. Jaehaerys didn't fly to the Wall, only Alysanne did. Jaehaerys was in KL for the first six months Alysanne was in the North. Rickon Stark didn't welcome Alysanne, Alaric Stark did. Rickon was Cregan's father, not Alaric.
Alaric Stark didn't go with Alysanne to the Wall, she went by herself. Alaric sent word ahead to the Night's Watch that she was on her way. Alysanne attempted to fly Silverwing beyond the wall twice, Silverwing turned her right around and went back.
Ryan, honey, are you sure you read the book?

Condal turning the Alys Rivers into a manic pixie dream girl that tries to change Daemon for the best and her first priority being the lives of women and children was my last fucking straw.
Why do all the women have to be pure angelic pacifists with no agendas of their own to pursue?
Rhaenyra, Alicent, Mysaria, Alys, Rhaenys and any other female character have been whitewashed to fucking hell. There’s nothing interesting or controversial about them. They’re all just borderline powerless victims who do exactly what Alicent said to Rhaenys in S1 E9: try to guide the men instead of taking action themselves. Where is the feminism in that?
Let women be humans.

Everything is reduced to misunderstandings, mistakes and accidents. No one is plotting to take/steal the power like it was supposed to.
Characters are completely changed or are the opposite of what they are in the book. The is no gray, only black and white, only good people or bad ones.
Different team stans are at each other’s throats.
Daemon and Aemond are plotting against the people they are most loyal to and they want to become kings by themselves.
Daeron is lost somewhere and it’s rumored to be a bastard.
Maelor and Nettles don’t exist.Their storylines were so important for characters like Daeron,Helaena,Daemon and Rhaenyra.
Apparently having dragon blood/being valyrian has no use to ride a dragon.
Other dragons,like Dreamfyre,are long forgotten.
There was no interaction,no relationship, not even a conversation between Viserys children.
Laenor simply running away, living his best life in Essos meanwhile his family started a civil war.Same as Daeron, who is trapped in Oldtwon while his siblings are destroying each other.Perfect sense.
Rumors about Alys engaging a relationship with Daemon instead that with Aemond.
Aegon and Criston Cole being the most hated in the fandom when in the book they were completely different,so much wasted potential.
Rhaenyra being paint as saint/mary sue, instead that the political idiot she actually is and the bad person she is(and that’s why i loved her in the book).
Alicent being a scheming little bitch,a Margaery 1.0,not a little scared girl that did what she did because of a misunderstanding. She wanted to usurp the throne, she wanted the power and she didn’t stopped in front of anything.
Rhaenicent scene in the Temple was a comic relief, because otherwise it make no sense if you think about how the characters were supposed to be.Just another proof of how “good” and “misunderstood” they are, acting like it’s the world that goes against them and that is not them that are keep doing a bullshit after another.
Helaena having no reaction after Blood and Cheese, but saying that things like this happen in the world. When in reality this is the event that will forever change her life, she will stop sleeping, bathing and eating. She won’t even look at her other children without feeling guilty for what happened. She literally goes insane with grief.
Rhaena bonding with the dragon that Nettles was supposed to have and that’s mean that we won’t probably see her real dragon:the pink baby Morning, that represents the hope for the dragons because in the dance they all died.
Ryan Condal if you plan to make a show about the Conquest,i beg you to not do it.I don’t want to see Visenya and Rhaenys being rivals and fight over Aegon, because i know this is what will happen!

Can we stop? Honestly, Ryan. It’s time to stop. I don’t care if this thing is real or just some TikTok bullshit, but as someone who LIVED FOR Martin’s universe, this just feels like such a slap in the face. They already did enough damage with HOTD, can y’all just leave the lore alone for once? Thanks.

The lack of screentime Sunfyre has gotten upsets me on a level I can’t describe.
People may find this irrational, but why is one of the most irrelevant dragons (you know who I'm talking about) getting more time than him.
In fact, this has lead me to a deep dive. Here is some of the dragons during the dance, in order by how many times they are mentioned in Fire & Blood:
Vhagar: 91 times
Vermithor: 66 times
Silverwing: 51 times
Dreamfyre: 50 times
Sunfyre: 44 times
Caraxes: 42 times
Syrax: 25 times
Meleys: 16 times
Moondancer: 15 times
Vermax: 14 times
Arrax: 9 times
Sunfyre is placed fifth, but he is also 70 years younger than Silverwing, who is the youngest of the above. He is mentioned more than Caraxes, who has at least three decades on him, two riders and one of those riders being GRRM's favorite. He is the only dragon to have an arc of his own, and still Syrax has triple (if not more) the total screentime.
Meleys replaced him at the coronation, even though she was mentioned in the book 16 times, with two riders.
All in all, Sunfyre has been ignored to the point that it must be on purpose (I will not forget Ryan Condal calling Syrax a golden dragon, one a person would want on their crest).

We really went through the whole writers strike and learned nothing. We got told that issues with writing and seasons are often because of producers but writers bear the brunt of online hate. HOTD had two episodes cut AND was in production during the writers strike and I’ve seen only one person acknowledge that it definitely impacted aspects of the show whereas everyone else assumes that Condal And Hess and the team just is stupid and untalented. C’mon guys.

“Ha! Alicent finally understands what patriarchy is! She supported a misogynistic system and now she’s facing the consequences of her actions! She made her bed, now she has to lie in it! She really thought the leopards wouldn’t eat her face!”
Except that Alicent:
was one of the first victims of patriarchy in this show so she very much always understood how fucked up it is.
was the only one to advocate for her friend’s right to rule even when Rhaenyra’s own father doubted his decision to make her his heir.
was the only person to suggest that Driftmark should pass on to Baela.
did not go to war against Rhaenyra because she thought women couldn’t rule. She did it because she wanted to protect her family after her former friend got her father fired, took her son’s eye, demanded he be tortured despite being her kid brother and because she genuinely believed that Aegon II becoming king was her husband’s dying wish.
This is the “hypocrisy” bullshit all over again and I just have to say that those who genuinely believe such analyses are illiterate.

My BIGGEST GRIPE is their character assassination of Daemon. I didn’t think it was intentional at first, I just thought they didnt understand the morally grey/wild card aspects that make up his personality thus were writing him poorly. But after reading an interview from ryan, he essentially admitted theyre choosing to completely ruin Daemon’s character just because ryan doesn’t like Daemon….GRRM’s favourite character….
LIKE FUCK OFF DUDE
