i'm sorry that you've been starved from good character design for so long you think Vi of all champions has it.

it's a fact that Vi has the worse skin out of all the Zaunite champions. scratch that actually, she has the worst skin in Runeterra.

i mean, you have Caitlyn, Camille, Renata Glasc, Orianna. Jinx is barely wearing anything and she still looks cooler. i got interested in Ezreal purely based off his skin. Seraphine is literally glowing? like let's be so for real.

in fact, screw all of them- have you seen Janna??? ok, go look at Janna, and then come back to me talking about "Vi has good character design" (yes I know Janna is also basically half naked but at least she looks like a god and is aesthetically pleasing).

I got carried away with a source rant so I'm tucking it under here but it's just me yelling about Caitlyn and Piltover as a whole.

Every time someone uses the whole "Heavy is the crown" thing in referene to Caitlyn it just makes me roll my eyes to the back of my fucking head.

"She was under so much pressure both as an enforcer but especially when she became the sheriff!"

She could have taken that fucking uniform off at any time. Literally any second she could've just gone "Actually, this is too much for me" and walked away. She didn't have to be an enforcer or a sheriff, she fucking chose to be. There's even a whole conflict between her and Cassandra about it because Cassandra didn't even want her to be an enforcer!

And while I do know that she was pressured into the role of sheriff by Ambessa and Maddie, she still literally did not have to and then at any point afterwards very well could've just called it quits. In fact!!! SHE LITERALLY DOES WHEN SHE TURNS ON AMBESSA. She realizes that things have gone too far and fights back! But of course that only happens when Piltover is the one in danger. She didn't see the apocalypse Jayce saw, all she knew was that Piltover was going to be attacked.

But gassing the innocent people of Zaun? Arresting every Zaunite with blue hair and the police brutality that came with that? Even on a personal level, her relationship with Violet??? Even if I don't like it, I'm not gonna pretend like Caitlyn didn't at least have some kinda feelings for Vi, and her throwing aside their whole relationship and also physically assaulting Violet solely for her own personal gain??

She was willing to draw the line when Piltovans were in danger, when her precious fucking topside was at stake. But Zaun? She'd probably fill every single fucking fissure to the top with gray if it suited her plans. "Heavy is the crown" doesn't fucking count when 1) you can just take the fucking crown off and 2) your crown is covered in the blood of innocent people.

At least I Know all the things I did were horrible and morally wrong. I don't pussyfoot around it, I've got innocent blood on my hands as well. But guess what, I'm not pretending that it served a greater good or that my hands are squeaky clean. I'm also not in a position of power that's been held over my victim's head for generations and being used to abuse and exploit said victims.

Every single fucking thing Caitlyn did, she chose to do. The special task force, becoming an enforcer in the first place, becoming a fucking fascist militaristic dictator???? Those were concsious fucking choices she made. That crown is placed on her head willingly, so she doesn't get to complain about how heavy it is. ESPECIALLY not when she fully has the power to just take it off.

And as for the shit about Cassandra dying, I know she was under pressure as a councilor's daughter to step up and fill those shoes and do what's right for Piltover, but literally everything she did amounted to fuckall in helping Piltover. Her goal in finding me? That was a personal vendetta, that wasn't even for Piltover. Allying with Noxus? Also part of the personal vendetta and also THAT WAS AGAINST ALL OF ZAUN THAT WASN'T EVEN AGAINST ME SPECIFICALLY. Because starting a war with the poor oppressed group your people have been shitting on and keeping on a tight leash for years upon years is sooo good and righteous!

They're allowed to keep us poor and starving and fighting to survive in the mines, but we're not allowed to steal when we don't have food to eat?? And it's not like they didn't have the resources to help, the so-called "City of Progress" had money and food to spare, I'll tell you that! But no. They benefited from our suffering both because it meant they could keep all of that food and wealth to themselves but also because it meant that they didn't have to do the hard work of slaving away in the mines for their materials. Countless Zaunites died in those quarries all for the very same metal Jayce used to make his dinky fucking hammers. And then he wants to talk about "My father put hammers in the hands of the people" You mean he put hammers in the hands of Piltovans. Why would Zaunites need hammers????? It's not like our houses and buildings are close to crumbling at any second.

Even in the alternate timeline from ep7, we see that Zaun is doing better. And it's likely because after Violet died they were forced to face how dire things were for us in Zaun, that a group of children had to run up to steal shit and risk their lives. When we die in the fissures they get to blindly ignore it bc what they can't see won't hurt them but Violet's death in that timeline forced them to see it. And wouldn't you know it, they helped. And it's CLEARLY evident that while Zaun isn't perfect in that timeline that it's still much better off than the Zaun I lived in. Hell, Ekko and I even got to attend the Academy in that timeline!

I know this has all strayed very far from my original point but I'm fucking pissed. I'll never forgive a single fucking Piltie for the way they treated us. Civillians included because what do you mean you have these biases around Zaunites being dangerous and filthy and call us animals and demons but you won't stop and think for one fucking second about why we might be this way?? About how we're forced to be this way by your precious fucking council!

INCLUDING HEIMERDINGER I FUCKING HATE HEIMERDINGER. That motherfucker saw the birth of Piltover even before Zaun sunk into the ocean and he KNEW about all the shit that was happening to us!! He knew damn well, and he not only did nothing but didn't even think to get a closer look at our suffering until after he was booted off the council!! Even when Viktor himself, a Zaunite who was disabled because of how bad things were in Zaun, was at his beck and call- his personal fucking assistant- he didn't give a flying fuck! Even when Jayce brought up the idea of the hextech gauntlets specifically intended to help the miners in Zaun, he just brushed it off in favor of his fucking science.

I will hate Piltover and all of it's people until the day I die for the third fucking time. And if I come back again? I'll still hate them. Over and over, in every lifetime, I will hate Piltover with every fiber of my being. Even when we got one singular good thing from them when Cassandra installed the vents, her own daughter was the one to take that away from us. I will never forgive Caitlyn, and I will never forgive a single Piltie for as long as I fucking live.
