red room/snuff film production au ft. evon tost n brodn, a pretty rare trio i know once again im just making content that specifically caters to myself leave me alone - it was brodins idea, this is basically just an evil brodin au but cranked into overdrive - brodin somehow manipulated yvonne to cooperate, either through bribery or blackmail, cuz snuff films gets more traction when the executers are girls, even better cuz she used a schoolgirl gimmick - they kidnap and film at very degen hours - idk if this takes place in the old otv house or what but yvonne toast and brodin are roommates - toast was awake at those hours once and heard a commotion in the basement, specifically a muffled screaming and sudden silence - toast went to the basement thinking they were having a movie night or sumin, nope - brodins reflexes is fast as fuck he conked toast out with his camera before he could even say anything - yvonne went oh god oh fuck what do we do, brodin just went guess we filming twice tonight - turns out toast went out like a light and he woke up at daytime which of course they cant film, so they just left him tied up in the basement while explaining to him what he saw and what they've been doing cuz they thought he at least deserved to know as a friend before he dies - while waiting for night time toast asked for shit like contacting his family at least n whatnot, they denied it all of course and just let him write a will instead - night falls its filming time, yvonne dismembered toast with a chainsaw, more eagerly than she usually is lmao - after its done they stuffed his parts in a bag and while they were dragging it to the car to drive to the incinerator, they heard it scream - toast was still alive, very much in pain but conscious, all 3 of em were confused how lmao - yvonne thought she didn't finished the job but right before she stabbed his head, brodin stopped her - he remembered that regeneratives exist and thought toast might be one - they brought him back to the house and tried to put him back together, all his limbs stuck back to normal within a few minutes - they were all disbelieved for a moment, then brodin remembered they still had to decide what to do with toast now that he knows about their shady project, they cant just let him go and snitch - toast, not wanting to be incinerated, offered to be a reoccurring victim for their films - yvonne hesitated cuz she thought ppl wont wanna watch the same person die over and over again, but brodin denied by saying that snuff films of regeneratives already exist and they do just as well, so they accepted his offer - toast took this as an opportunity to practice acting - well he didn't need to put effort into acting at first cuz it was more like method acting, he still feels pain everytime it happens but overtime he gets used to it and learned to exaggerate his reactions - yvonne hated the job even more now that she had to work with toast

From your experience, what's a good price for Pompeia, Bien Être, Rêve D'or, and Hombre aerosol? I've felt that I've sometimes felt cheated of my money or that a botanica was overcharging but wasn't sure in this economy

Don't buy in botanicas; prices are almost always raised on perfumes etc way more than can be found basically anywhere else. Botanicas are good for specialty items that need to be imported, if only because they are cheaper than a plane ticket to Haiti...not because they are priced reasonably. Specialty items that botanicas can be good for are Haitian clay items (govi, krish, plat Marassa, etc), Haitian-style batons, various makout and djakout, leaves for medicine or magic, chodye, tet gridap, and chapo. Some botanicas will sell specialty food items for the lwa, like siwo d'orgeat peyi, siwo peyi, devin, manje gad, and Barbancourt, but it depends on where you are. The mark-up in botanicas can be CRAZY; a makout for Kouzen in Haiti can be bought for maybe $10USD and the low end I have seen them sold for in the US is $50 with the high end being around $125. Same for chapo; $40-50USD for an item in Haiti that can be bought for around $7USD.

For Pompeia and Rev D'Or, I buy the large bottles and I will shop around for the best deal among a bunch of vendors. I can usually get them for around or just under $25USD per bottle. In botanicas, I see those size bottles for $50-60USD.

I buy Florida Water by the case, and the price has gone way up in the last couple years. I can usually get it for about $3.50USD/bottle, which is way more than it used to be. I shop around for Florida Water, too.

Rozwijamy, rozwijamy. Tak mi się nie chce, ale rozwijamy.

W weekend zaliczyłam egzamin, zaliczenie (nadal nie wiem jak sprawdzić i gdzie czy jest ocena, ale ważne, że zaliczyłam).

Pani od wywiadu przeniosła datę przeprowadzania wywiadu na przyszły miesiąc. I chyba dobrze, bo jestem martwa, serio, wczoraj potrzebowałam resetu, dostałam okres, mam pełno pryszczy, zjadłam tyle żelków, że powinnam zgibcieć totalnie. A nie mogę sobie na to pozwolić, bo czekają mnie jeszcze łącznie 3 egzaminy, z tego 2, których terminy są już wstępnie wyznaczone. Do tego jeszcze zaliczenia - 2 mam już zaliczone na 90%, kolejne 2 przedmioty zaliczamy na bieżąco (a potem prace musimy umieścić w folderach, więc zależy mi, aby wykonać dobrą robotę), a w przypadku 3 przedmiotu typ nam jeszcze nie podał na czym zaliczenie będzie polegać.

Do tego w tym tygodniu - taka wypryszczona, anemiczna i nawpół wyłysiała - będę miała sesję zdjęciową, wizerunkową do CV. Kuźwa, w mojej branży to niestety wymagane - zrobię inną wersję CV, zobaczymy czy będzie odzew.

No i właśnie - muszę się podleczyć, pić wodę, wysypiać i kupić jakieś fajne, kolorowe garnitury - i to musi być wpisane w wydatki na rzecz rozwoju osobistego. Ufff... Mam silną wizję tych kolorków - chce pomarańczowy, albo błękitny garnitur. Albo różowy. Najbardziej widzę się w fuksjoworóżowym, takim oversize z białymi conversami/trampakami na nogach, ale jako niska osoba z dużym tyłkiem i biustem mogę w tym wyglądać po prostu śmiesznie, jak w workach (spodnie oversize w moim przypadku muszą iść w parze ze szpilkami). Dlatego muszę mieć szansę pomierzyć te garniaki... a nie mam kiedy... Mam czas do piątku, dziś jest wtorek. Zobaczymy.

Dodatkowo... chyba o tym nie pisałam, ale w grudniu coś mnie pierdolnęło i zafarbowałam moje rude włosy, na kolor zbliżony do naturalnego odcienia moich włosów w odsłonie zimowej. Jestem teraz karmelowo-brązowa. Kasztan to za dużo powiedziane - mam na głowie ciepłe refleksy, a nie są nawet odrobinę rudawe. To ciepły ciemny blond lub brąz. Więcej karmelu niż rudości. I czuję się w tym odcieniu okropnie. Wolę jednak swój słoneczno-ogorzały-na-słonku jasno-rudy. Mam teraz pomysł - po wystawie zresztą, bo widziałam tam taką panią z taką fryzurą - by przefarbować się na rudo i strategicznie pozostawiać siwo-srebrny odrost. Podoba mi się kaskada srebra pośród naturalnej toni. Myślę, że mam tych srebrnych więcej niż rudych - w końcu siwieję od 13-tego roku życia. Ale to pomysł na później.

Póki co aktualny jest plan: znaleźć nową pracę i za pierwszą wypłatę zaliczyć fryzjera, mani, pedi i kosmetyczkę.

Byłam tyg temu u lekarza - okazało się, że przez te moje tragiczne niedobory B12 znowu weszła anemia, a przy okazji stan mojej skóry wskazuje na zaburzenia w ferrytynie (świetny wywiad z moją panią doktor - dużo wiedzy podała) - muszę zrobić badanie krwi, ALE fakty są takie, że tracę GARŚCI włosów. Po prostu wyciągam je z głowy, jak magik szarfy z mankietów, po prostu łysieję. :/ Stosuję oczywiście wcierki itp, widzę babyhair, ale trochę minie zanim odzyskam gęstość i objętość włosów... DLATEGO rozważam możliwość ścięcia włosów dużo krócej. Ciekawe jak to będzie, pewnie bardzo to przeżyję, ale stan moich włosów jest obecnie opłakany, bo organizm jest w złym stanie.

Wciąż również zwlekam z podsumowaniem roku i z wykonaniem dwóch projektów dla naszych rodzin. Mam zmęczenie materiału po wykonaniu zaliczeń i brak przestrzeni kreatywnej.

Jestem z siebie w opór dumna, że wykonałam "na zapas" zadanie na 2 przedmioty (z jednym myślałam, że trzeba już je zdać - memy z wykładowcami - a okazało się, że jest jeszcze na to czas). W trzecim, przy pracy grupowej, swoją część też już zrobiłam.

Mam jeszcze do załatwienia 2 projekty o których wiem, że muszę je zacząć robić, bo są czasochłonne.

Do tego CV, garnitury, ogarniać Vinted (NIC SIĘ NIE SPRZEDAJE :( ), szukać pracy i do tego wejść we współpracę z polityczką. Ech... nie wiem jak to ogarnę.

Jestem bardzo zmęczona i bardzo szczęśliwa, że wybrałam się na studia. Wiem, że jedno się wiąże z drugim, wiem. Po prostu... nie mam siły i energii by działać.

Jak wspominałam - wczoraj zrobiłam (jeszcze rozpędzona tym imperatywem DZIAŁANIA) dwa projekty "na zapas" i dokończyłam ten, który ma być robiony na zajęciach. Potem zrobiłam bardzo trudną rzecz do pracy, którą odkładałam od 3 dni, wykonałam wszystko co wykonać musiałam i włączyłam "Niebieskookiego Samurai" i odpłynęłam w eskapizm. W międzyczasie dostałam gorączki, zaczęłam "lawinowy" okres (po prostu zaczęło się ze mnie lać tak obficie, że nie nadążałam nad wymianą środków higienicznych - od jakiegoś czasu tak mam pierwszego dnia) i potrzebowałam coś GRYŹĆ - słowem włączyło mi się kompulsywne objadanie się, a ja tego nie zatrzymałam. Przeciwnie, ciągle rzucam coś, co dawało opór zębom...

Zbindźłoczowałam "nibieskookiego Samuraia" - uważam, że wyśmienity serial. Polecam bardzo. Bardzo mocno jest osadzony w kodzie kultury japońskiej - kod i konwencja były dla mnie, fanki mangi i anime, bardzo czytelna. Z tego co czytałam w sieci właśnie widzowie niezaznajomieni z mechanizmami kulturowymi i pewną konwencją oczywistą dla widzów i fanów anime mają dużo do zarzucenia historii. Na przykład dlaczego osoba protagonisty Mizu ma tak bezwzględną motywację by zabić białych ludzi (i odbierają to jako rasizm - dlaczego mamy sympatyzować z postacią, która jest rasistą?), ALE jakby umyka im fakt, że całe ukazane w serialu społ. japońskie jest rasistowskie, a konstrukcja tego serialu jest bliższa klasycznej tragedii greckiej niż opowieści z wyrazistym dobrem i złem, o bohaterstwie i lekcji powziętej "ku lepszemu". Oczywiście te elementy są też obecne, ale to nie jest pień pierwszej warstwy konstrukcji serialu - moim zdaniem.

Bardzo mi się uśmiechała buźka jak dostrzegałam skad twórcy serialu czerpali inspiracje - niemożliwym jest brak skojarzeń do Kenshina, a otwarcie pierwszego odcinka jest banałem powielanym - i zwykle dobrze działającym - w wielu historiach, ale dla mnie najbardziej czytelnym skojarzeniem był Samurai Chamloo. I to w kilku elementach: nie tylko z samą pretekstową bójką o pierdołę w knajpie podczas której widzowie dostają dialogi z ekspozycją, z zarysowaną motywacją bohaterów. Tutaj mamy Mizu, która staje do walki z handlarzem żywym towarem, wszystko na oczach kelnera/kucharza o sympatycznym usposobieniu - Ringo, który potem ruszy za Mizu w podróż. A w Samurai Champloo otwarcie pierwszego epizodu to potyczka pirata Mugena z roninem Jinem - też w knajpie, też pretekstowa, też dostajemy JASNO w dialogach do wiadomości, że każdy z nich jest bardzo wątpliwie moralną osobą, każdy z nich zrobił coś złego, ale we własnym mniemaniu dobrego. A wszystko na oczach sympatycznej kelnerki Fuu, która potem wyruszy za chłopakami (i nie daje się spławić) domagając się, aby zostali jej ochroną podczas jej poszukiwań ojca, prawdopodobnie obywatela Holandii, "Samuraia pachnącego słonecznikami".

Naprawdę kilka razy się uśmiechnęłam dostrzegając inspirację. I poprowadzenie jej dobrze, inaczej, drążenie tematów, które ciekawiło twórczynie i twórców.

Zachwyca mnie to w "Niebieskookim samuraiu" - można ten serial obejrzeć i dostrzec, jak kobiety są niesprawiedliwie traktowane i wykorzystywane przez system, jak w patowej sytuacji pomijana była ich historia, i jak można im dać siłę do opowiedzenia jej.

Zasnęłam o 19 i spałam w majakach do budzika rano. Obudziłam się zlana potem. Słaba.

No i śnieg...

JA chcę lata...

Mój piesek jedynie cieszy się na śnieg tak bardzo, że nie chce wracać do domu. :P

The Raptor: Full body design

Yay, I finnaly drew my ml oc after two fan fics of vauge descriptions that contradict each other because I couldn't think of an outfit. And yes, drawing hands killed me. Yes, he is barefoot in the first picture and I didn't draw feet because I didn't want to die again.

Timothy Césaire's backstory (again):

Alya's cousin from New York City, Timothy Césaire used to be a normal, not so mild-manner middle school student who's only concern was getting good grades and dealing with bullies. But his life would change permanently after getting an intership at Hill incorporated; the cover for Majestia's laboratory. As fate would have it, Timothy's job for his first day to observe a resurrected, radioactive Velociraptor. However, one of the scientists left it's cage open on accident, which lead to the creature escaping it's enclosure and biting Timothy. Eventually, Timothy realized that the event had given him a superpower, the ability to move so fast that the world around him slowed down. This motivated him to create the persona of The Raptor, a new super hero who would help the helpless. At first, the United Heroez tolerated his presence and even encouraged him to join him. But everything changed when the Raptor stole from Audrey Bourgeois; He left a calling card in her house that claimed she had stolen designs from unpaid interns and that he would make her pay. Even with all the money and power in NYC, Audrey was powerless to stop the Raptor from stealing thousands of dollars worth in money... and secretly giving it to the poor. From that point onward, The Raptor was officially known as as a super villain. But it wasn't the end for Timothy. Its just the begginng of the end for the powerful in New York.

Design backstory

I'll start with Tim's civilian outfit, it's just a color swapped version of Alya's outfit.

Now that that's out of the way:

My original idea (that I never drew) of the Raptor's design was going to be something like tuxedo mask with a hoodie and long feathers on his arms instead of a cape.

Then Argos stole his look

So when I wrote Funk Up The Night, I thought up a different outfit that would look waaay different from Felix; something like what a Victorian era working class person would wear to contrast Timothy from the 2(+ Felix) super villains dressed like aristocrats. The design would have baggy clothing with a newsboys hat instead of a hood and a tattered blue neck tie that would be like the main attention grabber of the design.

I ended up keeping the the neck tie part for this one, but I swapped the cap out for a visor (that can go through Timothy's hair without destroying it lol)

Anyway, I wanted to do base this design off of something from Martinican culture as I headcanon Alya (& Tim) as being born from there and moving to France (/U.S.).

It was there that I encountered the Neg Gwo Siwo, a Martinican carnival character covered in black that's a symbol of rebellion against oppression.

What a coincidence that I already imagined Timothy as having a mostly dark design!

So I used dark blue skin to blend in with Tim's black clothes (actually a really dark shade of green).

I added some gold bands with hints of red and green

And done!

I made a good design with bad anatomy because I don't understand arms lol
