What If Steve Were To Leave Hawkins? Part 2
Part 1
Wow, I did not expect such a reaction. Thank you for all of your kind comments! As requested, here is part 2!
The members of the Party noticed Steve’s absence a mere two days later on Saturday. Dustin reached out to ask for a ride to Eddie’s trailer that day to make a new character sheet for their upcoming campaign. When he called his house three times in a row, there was no answer. He called Family Video and spoke to Robin who confusingly relayed that Steve had quit with little notice. Dustin called Eddie and got a ride to Steve’s house where they were greeted with the stoic Richard Harrigton. He told the two of them that he had kicked Steve out of the house that Thursday and to stop coming near his property. Both Dustin and Eddie were left baffled. Why hadn’t Steve told them anything?
Regardless of their confusion or Steve’s silence, Dustin called a Code Red and ordered everyone to meet up at Eddie’s new trailer.
Shortly afterwards, the entire Party was squished into the trailer’s small living room questioning where Steve had gone. They had no idea where he would choose to go if not to one of them. No one knew where to find him or even how to contact him. He wasn’t answering on the walkie and he had left no forwarding address. It wasn’t until Robin mentioned him quitting Family Video the day prior through an abrupt and hasty phone call to Keith that a picture started to emerge.
Steve had felt so alone and desperate after a fight with his parents that he had cut contact ties to all of his friends before fleeing Hawkins.
The entire room was bathed in guilt. Steve had never mentioned anything about his family or home life other than small comments about having the house to himself. But no one in the Party had ever tried to dig any deeper into his false bravado and fragile smiles.
And then they questioned why he didn’t feel comfortable coming to them for help or support.
Everyone had noticed that Steve had become withdrawn and depressed but they had just assumed that he needed space. No one understood at the time that space was the most detrimental solution to the lonely man’s problems.
Dustin and Robin were understandably the most upset. They prided themselves on knowing Steve the best and they had pushed him away as well. Dustin had been spending his time talking to Suzie on the radio and making plans to visit Utah over the summer. Robin had been enjoying time with Vickie and spending time with her family. Neither one meant to neglect their best friend whose life soley revolved around them.
Eddie felt particularly guilty as well. He noticed that Steve started withdrawing after he stopped accepting his invitations to hang out. But he had fallen in love with him and was trying to get over his unrequited crush on yet another straight guy. Even still, he felt majorly guilty and wished he had done something to keep Steve around.
Eddie’s living room was bathed in guilt and grief. The kids looked warily between themselves and Eddie and Robin waiting for direction.
“Well, what are we going to do now?” Dustin asked, straightening in his spot. The other kids adopted determined glints in their eyes while Eddie fiddled with his rings and Robin started shuffling in her spot.
“We have to find him, obviously. The dingus can’t survive on his own out there. He needs us,” Robin said softly, moments away from rambling or breaking into tears.
Dustin nodded and grabbed one of Eddie’s old school notebooks before quickly turning to a semi-clean page. “Okay, so we have to make a list of places where Steve likes to go, places he’s talked about going to, and a list of his associates. Then we can call everyone and find him that way.”
Max harrumphed from her spot on the dingy couch. “He doesn’t have any known associates. He lost all of his friends in high school, it's just us and he still left.”
Dustin looked heartbroken at the concept and turned his puppy-dog eyed gaze to look at Eddie. “Did he ever mention going anywhere when you guys hung out?”
Eddie thought for a moment. On one of their nights spent smoking, he remembered mentioning his interest in moving away from Hawkins once he saved up enough money. He had asked Steve at the time, jokingly, if he would want to come with him.
“I’m going to go to one of the big cities and start playing gigs. In the city, no one looks at you twice. It’ll be the opposite of Hawkins, I’m sure.”
Steve had rolled his head back to make eye contact with Eddie through droopy lids. “That sounds nice. No expectations, no past, being able to just… be.”
Eddie had hummed before breathing in another hit. “You should come with me, we can both just start over. Clean slate.”
Steve had tensed and looked at Eddie apprehensively, “you’d want me to come with you?”
“Yeah man, I always want you around. Would you want to?”
Steve had looked hopeful at the time, happy perhaps. He let a smile pull at his lips as a blush warmed his cheeks. “Yeah, maybe.”
The warm feeling in Eddie’s chest turned to ice at the sight of the pink blush. He was falling for Steve. Oh no.
Eddie had started putting distance between them after his revelation. He had no idea at the time that that would be their last time hanging out and the last time Steve would smile for months to come.
“Eddie?”
Eddie shook his head and waved his hand around. “No, he never mentioned running away from home and disappearing off the face of the Earth. No, that didn’t come up.”
Although, he did wonder if his words had any impact on Steve. Mayhaps he was in a city right now, thinking back to the same instance as Eddie in a view of regret and longing as well.
Alas, their meeting ended with urgent plans to involve Hopper and Joyce in their quest to find him. They weren’t going to let Steve go without a fight. Not again.

Wow just kissing
Hes surprised how his parents still slept as Stuart crept back to his room, stumbling drunkenly through a dark hallway in a great attempt to sneak. And while the last crack of the door was shut he was even more surprised how they didn't wake up from they yell that followed after.
Hell you scared him too.
“Shit from how much we see each other you'd think-fuck” He says ruffling a hand through his unwashed hair.
Stuart relaxed against his door, heaving a sigh of relief as he looked over to the punk that sat at his windowsill, calmly putting out a cigarette bud. “Sorry, im alittle drunk and, I didnt think- the light n stuff”.
“Get a little nasty did we?” Mudz asks vaguely with a chuckle as he goes to plop down on the end of your bed.
“Naw, heads a bit swimmin. Decided to dip out afta a few hours” He says discarding his shirt, staggering to his dresser to find his bottle of pills. Finding the bottle he looked to the label with half a mind and popped three to swallow them dry.
“I was looking through your music, and might I add that you have...a very nice taste added to the mix.” the Bassists purred in approval using the Bluenettes new Rolling Stones album to fan away the leftover smoke that settled in the room..
“Careful with how much I paid for it, it's worth more then ya life”
“Ah so it was stolen” He laughs gathering a new cigarette between his lips, offering one to Stuart has he goes to play the disc. 2D Grabs a match from his pockets as he strikes a flame against his leg, holding it steadily to his end before waving the light out.
“Pops let ya in or dija sneak?” he asks through a wave of smoke.
“You know I come when I please, Whos party?” Murdoc asks after setting the needle down gently.”
“Emma Crabunk” Stuart said with a nasty tone as he settled on the bed to slip off his shoes.
“Thought you said she was a bitch”
“Still is but she throws a damn good party, thought I was bringing drugs tho. Like id share any wit er” he says rolling his eyes with a mumble, Mudz leaned against the wall.
“Meet any cuties?”
Stuart takes a minute to think, “there was this nice dark girl, real great hair, cool ass glasses-” he thought aloud. “One of them Disco Hippie chicks, yanno? We danced a bit but I didn't really feel like jumpin her, Think she came with this other chick anyway” He says with another drag from his smoke.
“Nice” he says “How was ya concert tonight?” “Well you weren't there, so kinda boring really. Had a seat up front fer ya..” “You mad I didn't go?” Stuart asks sitting up to face him
He gives a shrug hoping to brush off the topic before taking another drag to blow to the cracked window. He opens his mouth to speak but decides against it shaking his head.
“What?” He asks looking concerned “Nothing, just there was a party... I wanted to take ya too after, good one I coulda got ya some drinks and stuff” he shrugs again nonchalantly as he made his way over “Oh...Sorry” Stuart muttered looking down, rubbing the back of his neck
Murdoc gruffs a bit to show he’s unconcerned at the problem before resting his hands behind his head, falling back to the sheets below.
“ No foul play, we can hang here. After all, i'm welcomed whenever~” “That you are~” Stuart plays back
They sit in silence for a few songs, listening to comfortable thoughts in a smoked filled room while the record player spun some classic rolling stones.
“I like Keith Richards” “Yeah, he's kinda hot” Stuart smirks “Ment music wise but yeah, pretty bangable. I mean ya don't have ta be bent ta know that” “What about Jagger?” “Something bout him seems off, good voice just…..maybe his hair?”
“Really? I thought he was some sort of Idol” Stuart asks oh so innocently hoping to rile the older male.
Murdoc sits up looking appalled
“Keiths a sex God, how could you look at Mick and think yeah I'd fuck that awkward mess” “You're just saying that because Keith looks like you!” “Exactly!, he's stealing my looks and moves” He laughs putting his cigarette out on his boot.
Stuart laughs and sits up to flick his cigarette out the window with Mudz, shifting closer to him. He props his head in his hand and stares down the teen-esque male, poking his tongue through his gap teeth.
“So who's really stealing, him or you?” “You wanna find out?~” He says with a cocky smile.
Without thinking, Stuart leans down to capture a sudden kiss. Surprised at his own boldness and earning a squeak from none other than Murdoc himself. He thought about pulling away, suddenly feeling all to aware at the awkward situation and the possibility of completely fucking up his friendship.
But with even more shock Murdoc claims the kiss just as eagerly as Stuart.
“I-Im sorry its jus that-” He starts, pulling away for a hitch of breath only to get yanked back by the locks of his hair. Stuart gave a moan of approval ignoring the sharp pain of the others teeth that clipped the edge of his lips.
The taste of whiskey and smoke filled his mouth, something oddly charming as it fit well with the others rough characteristics. It was the kind of drunken attention he'd been craving all night as Murdoc pulls slightly at the his bottom lip. Invading his mouth to run his tongue along the gap in front he caused several years back during a game of pool gone wrong. He maneuvers the man lightly, hoping to urge him to his lap and was all to giddy when he complied, pushing the kiss a little harder.
Settling his leg over Stuart detaches himself from his lips to leave a trail of kisses down Murdoc's neck, trembling with every little noise that slips near his ear. The Satanist grasps the his hips as he slips his eyes closed, relaxing against the grazing teeth against his jaw.
“Fuck” he half yelp as Stuart bravery took a bite at his neck, he could feel the bruise beginning to form as a tongue pressed against the vein stained in his neck along with the stiffness rising in his jeans. “Ok?” He asks looking over Mudz with an all too concerned look in his eyes, fuck this was too vulnerable he told himself tingeing red from the thought of being so affected by so little. This needs to change ASAP.
Pushing himself up from the bed he grabs his hips in a vice grip and decides to dominate by parting his slips once more. This is..a lot more complicated (and hotter) than what was initially thought, trying to settle both their dominance was hard especially when Stuart ran his hands through the greasy mess of hair that Murdoc all to much enjoyed
All was well, good music, a slight buzz. additive kissing with heavy petting had them both shaking for more but before Murdoc could get ahold of eithers belt a knock at the door caused them both to pale and cease their actions.
“Stewie-honey? Are you ok?” His mom ask through the door.
Scurrying up from Murdoc’s lap he makes a break to the door before his mom bursts onto the current situation. The Bassists gives a toothy grin at the familiar nickname as he looks to the mirror to fix his hair and shirt.
He opens the door without haste, startling the poor mother she stood worryingly in her bathrobe. He gives a small coughs, thankful of the darkness to hide his embarrassed face.
“Are you feeling alright?, I heard noises is- Stuart is that smoke I smell? What did I tell you about smoking inside!” She says starting out concerned only to have her face distort from the smell that wafted through.
“I- Mom sorry I-”
“Hello Mrs. Pot!” Murdoc calls from the room
Stuart jolts from the noise but is relieved when he sees his mom soften from the all too familiar sound. Stuart pushes open the door a tad more so Murdoc can wave from the bed, a sudden stack of records in his lap.
“Murdoc honey oh! Hello!, everything alright dear, you're here pretty late?” “Im fine Mrs.Pot n’ sorry for the noise, I stubbed my toe on the damn dresser” “Language please” She scolds and he holds up his hands in defeat “We're fine mom, just-” “Well you're always welcomed,” She interrupts “just please no smoking inside and don't forget you have classes tomorrow- has he been a good host Murdoc?” “Nothing but the best~” he says with his best snake smile, eyeing down Stuart and his all to apparent flustered state. Rachel smiles lovingly at her boys and kisses Stuarts cheek goodnight before heading back down the hall leaving both men to sit in silence.
“Past your bedtime Stewie?” He asks mockingly
Stuart gives him a look trying to think of something to say, but with nothing coming to mind due to his still current state of high he settles with a heartfelt middle finger to the crackling Musician.

Being in a band with your 2 best friends and your cousin is definitely awesome, until the first week.
"POPPY WHERE'S MY FUCKING HAIRBRUSH?" A super angry drummer was seen getting on the bus.
"Ana, can't you speak a sentence at a normal voice volume?" That was Lexa, our guitarist or our mother, whichever you prefer. She performs both functions very well.
"No, I can't." She walks over to Poppy and snatches her hairbrush out of her hand. "At least not when vocalists with superiority complexes steal my stuff." She walks to the small bathroom on the bus as Poppy showed her the middle finger.
Even inside the bus you could hear several bands doing sound checks and stages being finalized outside. We had arrived at the Summer Rock Festival a few hours ago, it would be three days of festival, we would perform on the second day, after our friends from The Struts and before the boys from Greta Van Fleet.
"Luke texted me, he and the boys are already heading to the bar." Lexa stands up fixing the bottom of her beautiful dress that looked like it was straight out of the 70's, "So if we don't want to be late our dear drummer had better get out of this fucking bathroom soon."
"Hey, no swearing, Mom." I walk past her grabbing my leather jacket from the seat. "Ana! Let's go!"
By the time Lexa and Poppy are outside I am trying to find my cell phone amidst a pile of clothes, Ana finally comes out of the bathroom.
"Cousins by chance, twins by choice." She pulls up the sleeves of her jacket, just like mine, smiling at me.
I find my cell phone and slip my arm over Ana's shoulders, leading us to the bus door.
"Did I mention I hate you?" I ask coming down the small staircase and find Poppy and Lexa waiting for us to go.
"Hm, I guess not today yet." She goes to Poppy's side and pats her chin. "Stop drooling, Poppy."
Lexa and I turn to where Poppy was looking and find the 4 boys from Greta taking their instruments off the bus, about 50 feet away from us.
"Fuck you, Ana," Poppy starts walking towards the exit of the festival, where there is an avenue full of bars, nightclubs, strip clubs and karaoke places.
In less than 10 minutes we had already arrived at the bar and before we even entered Jed already called us shouting. "Hey, girls! Over here!"
It was always really cool to hang out with the boys, we knew each other because of Jed and Adam being friends with Poppy's older brother. We joined them and other people from the crew and some other artists at the festival and less than 2 minutes later several bottles of beer were already on the tables.
I looked at my band mates, we spend so much time together that it is fun to analyze them socializing with other people besides ourselves.
Poppy was probably the most outgoing of us, everyone liked her, she was always nice and polite to everyone and it was amazing to see men with long beards and leather vests making fun of a girl singing rock and then Poppy shutting them up, either with her talent or her knowledge.
Lexa was so calm that it is still shocking to me to see her play and totally transform on stage. She had a 70's hippie style that matched perfectly with her long blond hair and delicate features.
And Ana, my band mate that I have known all my life, my younger cousin. Certainly the strongest personality among the four of us, her life revolved around music, and I loved that about her.
Oh, of course. There's me too, but I don't think it's worth describing myself too much. I'm probably too dull around them. I wasn't outgoing like Poppy, I wasn't charming like Lexa, and I definitely didn't have as much personality as Ana.
My God, what a depression. I need another drink, one stronger than beer.
"Hey, I'm going to go to the bar. I'll be right back." I speak to Lexa receiving a nod in response.
Reaching over I choose the only drink capable of cheering me up.
"A shot of Jack Daniels. No ice please" I speak loudly so the bartender can hear through the music of The Who playing at the bar.
"I always thought it was the guitar players who were more into whiskey" A husky voice came over the music right in my right ear. "I thought bass players were more into vodka"
And then the seat next to me was taken by Jake Kiszka, guitarist for Greta Van Fleet, well I definitely can't compare to Poppy on the subject of "GVF FANGIRL", but wow.
"What about the vocalists and drummers?" I asked as the bartender left the shot of Jack Daniels in front of me.
"Vocalists? Probably some weird drink and drummers for sure are the beer guys." He smiles and turns the stool around facing me "I'm Jake" He holds out his hand to you.
"Y/N" I hold his hand.
"The bass player who made my theory go down the drain." He laughs arching an eyebrow.
"Well, maybe I'm an exception.
"Yeah, maybe there was a glitch in the matrix." He turns to call the bartender. "May I imitate you?" He indicates my glass with his head.
"You're the guitar player here, I think I'm the one copying you." I smile at him and he reciprocates, and shit, why do I think I could stare at him smile forever? And then I feel an arm on my shoulders.
"So you mean my friends are friends, and I didn't know?" Luke leaned one arm on me and the other on Jake, clearly not sober anymore. "Come on over to the table, antisocial people, your bands are waiting."
Luke releases our shoulders and looks at us. "Or are you guys busy planning to pick each other up?"
I could feel all my blood rising to my cheeks in a second, and thank God I had already swallowed the whiskey, otherwise I probably would have spit it all out.
"Of course not Luke." I gave a nervous laugh praying that I could disguise my embarrassment. Which only increased when Jake tilted his head to the side looking at me and gave a weak laugh and then getting up to walk over to the table.
Now there were more people at the table, including the other three members of Greta, and I sat down between Adam and Ana. "Please dig a hole and stick me in" I whispered to my cousin.
"With pleasure." She winked and smiled at me, "But may I know why?"
With the music loud and our friends talking around us I had to lean 'round to whisper right into her ear. "I was talking to Jake Kiszka and then Luke came over and thought we were going to kiss and I looked like an idiot."
"You always look like an idiot, cousin." He whispered in response. "But you want to kiss him?" Ana smiled mischievously.
"Oh my god, I was just talking to him."
"Well, you should kiss him, he's handsome." She picks up her beer and offers me a bottle.
"You say that because you have a crush on his twin." I open my bottle as I watch Ana choke on her own beer and cast a quick glance at Josh. "Oh come on, you can't disguise yourself." I laugh slapping our bottles together before taking a long sip.
"I don't have a crush on him." Ana squirms in her chair uncomfortably. "He's the lead singer, he has several women after him, and he must have a superiority complex just like Poppy."
"He seems pretty cool!"
"Y/N! ANA!" Poppy's voice managed without louder than the music in the bar, causing us to turn around and find 10 pairs of eyes staring at us. "Are you guys deaf?"
As I run my gaze around the table I realize that all the boys' crew have left, now it's just us, the boys from The Struts and Greta Van Fleet.
"Hm, hey!" I reply before Ana has a chance to cuss Poppy out.
"We're going to karaoke, the bar closes early today." Gethin gets up from the table, being followed by his bandmates, Josh, Sam, Danny, Poppy and Lexa.
"I'm in!" Ana stands up.
"I'm going back to the bus, I don't have as much energy as you guys." I stand up grabbing my cell phone and wallet.
"Let's go together." Jake speaks and I realize that he was the only one who hadn't gotten up until now.
"Ok" I say trying to look calm and not knowing why I am nervous, like a teenage girl who likes the popular boy.
I say goodbye to everyone and when I pass by Ana she winks at me, in a not discreet way.
After we pay for our drinks, Jake and I head out onto the streets of Chicago to return to the festival.
"Excited for tomorrow?" Jake asks as we cross one of the avenue streets.
"For sure, tomorrow and our days will have the best shows!" I look at him. "I feel like I might faint just remembering that I'm going to see Steven Tyler live tomorrow." He throws his head back and laughs. "Now you think I'm some kind of crazy fangirl." I smile.
"Oh, of course not." Jake returns the smile by looking at me. "The chances of me passing out at the Stones concert are not small either."
"So, you're a 'fangirl' for Keith Richards?"
"Definitely." He laughs again shaking his head.
"Does that mean that for you 'team stones' is right?
"Well, it's certainly a tough contest, but yes 'team stones'." He turns to me with the corners of his lips raised. "Team Beatles?"
"And a George stan with pride." I smile and wink at him amused. "Okay, important question."
"Okay, speak." Jake runs his fingers through the strands of hair that fall down the side of his face.
"Pearl Jam or Nirvana?"
"Is there a right answer?" He asks and I arch an eyebrow at him. "Okay, hm, Nirvana."
"You had a right answer! And you got it wrong." I smile. "Come on, Eddie Veder is almost a God."
Jake laughs and brings his hands in front of his body in a sign of redemption. "I don't disagree!"
And then I realize that we arrived at the festival some time ago and are now facing my bus.
"Thank you so much, for walking me here." I say to him, climbing up the first step of the entrance stairs, almost standing the same height as Jake.
"You're welcome!" He gives me a smile and puts his hands in the pockets of his black skinny pants. "See you tomorrow?"
"Yeah, sure."
You smile at him and Jake moves closer and deposits a kiss on your cheek.
"Bye!"
“Bye, Jake!”

TOXIC PART 3  Ⓐ  Ⓕ
Plot: Her and Keith are still together although the relationship has been over for quite sometime.
Request: Is there a chance you’d make a continuation of Keefs fic? I can’t believe how good it is and that I’m asking you to this again but I can’t get enough of your writing! You’re seriously my favourite writer on tumblr. I’m so happy I’ve found your blog. I’ll ask again but nicer this time. Will you, when you have time and want to of course, write continuation of Keith’s shot? Thank you in advance, for whatever your decision will be. I know I’ll stay here for a long time. Best wishes beautiful dove 🤍
A/N: I’m back ya’ll!
Tumblr media
That night Keith felt like his world had been flipped upside down, he had no idea what was going to happen later at dinner, he didn’t even know what had happened earlier in the day with you, but he didn’t regret a single thing, he whole mood had been shifted and it was noticeable, he had a sudden glow.
He felt nervous, and excited, and anxious; he desperately wanted to fix his relationship with you, the toxicity had to be over, and he was determined to put an end to it, and that could either mean you and him were in it for the long run again, or you and him parted ways, and he was hoping you and him fixed your issues and stayed together.
In your head, everything was spinning. And like Keith, you were feeling all of the emotions, you were ready to address the elephant in the room, come clean about your lovers and emotions, your thoughts, your concerns, you were ready to set everything straight, hoping he would do the same thing, come clean and let you into his world, his head; and from there fix the bond that had been broken and betrayed, or officially end it, part your ways and do your own thing separately.
The Stones weren’t playing a show that night, they had some press around town, some appearances to make during the day; so the night was clear for both of you to take as much time you needed to talk everything out.
And so you after changing a thousand times, doing your hair a million different ways, you left the hotel room, Keith had called you during the day to let you know about the reservation he had made, the address of the restaurant and the time, so that’s exactly where you went.
Keith was waiting for you to show up, his nervousness and anxiety convinced him to show up almost twenty minutes before hand, his hands were sweaty, he kept on ordering water, looking through the windows, the doors, just hoping to see you pass by or walk in, wanting to read you face to try and mentally prepare for what could happen.
When he saw you walk in he could see a glow around you, you were beautiful, he couldn’t help but stare, and in your face he could tell that just like him, you were reading trying to read him, trying to see what he looked like to try and prepare.
“Hi, how are you? How was today?”
You were the first to speak, and you did as you sat down, settling down and putting your purse away, giving him a small smile.
“Hey, I’m good, today was good, everything went by very quickly. How are you?”
He smiled back at you, he could feel the energy between you and him had changed. Before every time you and him were in the same room he felt like the air had been cut short, like there was some pressure on his chest filled with many different emotions; and for the first time in what felt like ages, there was no pressure, no heaviness, even the nervousness he felt was gone.
And it was the same thing for you, you and Keith were on the same page, finally. You were ready to talk it out, and what was unbelievable for you, was the fact that it all seemed so peaceful.
So after some small talk, and ordering you food, Keith spoke first.
“So, I’m aware I’ve fucked up multiple times, we both have, it’s been almost a year since you and I haven’t been the same with each other, and I will take the initial blame. I was under a lot of pressure, and although it’s not an excuse, that’s not what I’m trying to do, justify myself or my actions, I just didn’t know how to take it, and it was pressure from the band, from managers, producers, and instead of letting you in I pushed and pushed, and turned you into this ghost in my life, someone I didn’t want to let go off, and I just want to set everything out there, because I haven’t been my best self, I have been disloyal, and I have been rude and just not good towards you, and I am sorry, but if you are willing to, I want to fix everything, learn from all of our mistakes and really make this work”
You didn’t expect him to say all that, you hadn’t heard him be this type of honest in a while now. He never denied cheating, he never tried to hide it, and you never tried either, there was just no point in hiding something everyone knew. The scene was just too close and gossip flew by, you knew Keith was fucking groupies before he even came, and Keith knew you were fucking his rockstar friends before you even made it to the taxi on the way to theit hotel or house.
¨I think we both fucked up, is not a you did this first of I did type of situation. We knew what the other was doing and just continued to hurt each other more and more by not ending our relationship first. Being completely honest, I’m not sure what I want anymore, ever since you asked me when I stopped loving you I’ve been thinking about it, because I don’t know if I stopped loving you.”
Your chest was tight and your eyes were glued to the table as you spoke, expressing how you felt to Keith turned out to be harder than you thought. On the other hand, he took a deep breath, he didn’t know what that meant exactly, but his heart felt like someone was holding it and crushing it. He was sure that this was it for the two of you, that he would have to go back home and be met with none of your belongings in your shared house.
Instead you continued talking, “I do want to figure it out though, I don’t want to just end it with you and then regret it later on, not knowing what would’ve happened if we didn’t try to fix us. I’m willing to give it a try, let’s start over, forget about how we fucked up before. Let’s get to know each other again”
He smiled and his eyes watered, he was so emotional lately, and so were you. He reached out to take your hands in his through the table, smiling at you.
“Just the two of us” he said.
“Just the two of us” you said.
And just then, your food arrived, making you pull your hands from his. Relieved washed all over him, and butterflies grew in your stomach, you were anxious for the future, but in a good way, maybe there was sunshine after the storm.

Nickname? I HAVE NONE. Well, Keith, obvs, on here. But in real life, none. Oh wait. Not true. When I was a kid, people in my family sometimes called me Hanny Hole because when I was very young (my mom swears younger than two years) she was bathing me and, as young children are wont to do, I was exploring things and developed a very concerned expression and said, “Mama, Hanny have a hole. Hanny posed ta have a hole?” And that’s how my hypochondria first made itself known. But no one has called me Hanny Hole in a while.
Real name? Hannah
Zodiac? Virgo Sun/Scorpio Rising/Aries moon, so I’m a virgo constantly on her bullshit and stubborn about it.
Favorite musicians or groups? I mean. Obviously. Hozier, James Bay, Mumford and Sons, and Dermot Kennedy. And Secret not so Secret, Taylor Swift.
Favorite sports teams? Dallas Stars? I was super into the Chicago Blackhawks and then Things Happened I’d rather not discuss and now I can’t really go there.
Other blogs? I used to have a few but I’m old and tired and can’t keep up.
Do I get asks? I do! AND I LOVE IT. SEND ME MORE ALWAYS.
How many blogs do I follow? 224
Tumblr crushes? MY WIFE IS ON TUMBLR. V. Exciting. And now I don’t have to pick others.
Lucky numbers? What is luck?
What am I wearing? Galaxy leggings and a men’s XXXL black hoodie with a white stripe down the arms.
Dream vacation? The Scottish Highlands. Really, a tour around Britain. But specifically the Scottish highlands.
Dream car? One that’s already paid for.
Favourite food? Steak, rare.
Drink of choice? Diet Pepsi? Or orange juice. Fuck I love orange juice.
Instruments? I played the flute for five years and I played the piano for a hot two seconds when I was a kid.
Languages? English, kindergarten level French, I can count in a bunch of languages, I know basic phrases in others, and I can read and be frustrated by very basic Danish (and therefore Norwegian and some Swedish).
Celebrity crushes? Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, I SUPPOSE. The thirst is strong there. Gwendoline Christie, I guess? Um. I don’t really do celebrity crushes! I passingly think people are quite handsome or pretty and then I’m like, “I’m cool.” But yeah, the NCW thirst is real. I was super into Alan Rickman when he was alive and I was real thirsty for Richard Armitage at one point in my life. I like a challenging nose and a penchant for picking terrible characters to play.
Random facts? I deeply disliked my children’s lit professor and her affection for authorial intent so my final essay was We Together Make a Limb: Sapphic Friendship in Anne of Green Gables. My English professor nominated my research paper Looking for Normal: Default Heterosexuality in John Green’s Looking for Alaska because I was that undergrad that didn’t know how gay they were.
My Linear Algebra prof hated me for half the semester until I spent an hour in his office asking a question but ended up shooting the shit because he was Quebecois and I was Acadian and by the end of the year, he asked me to take his Calc class (no thanks, I already suffered through my 5 credit hours Calc for Math Majors).
I really, really, really loved college and I wish I could go back and get five more degrees because I loved feeling intellectually stimulated but in a setting where there were achievable, concrete goals within a set time limit. It’s so much easier than adult life.
Also, one time, some guy wanted to be sad about drunk girls and consent and I told him not to fuck drunk girls if he was worried about accusations in the middle of class and then when I apologized to my prof for basically yelling at a guy about fucking girls too drunk to consent, she just said she understood and not to worry about  because she would’ve done the same thing if she wouldn’t get fired.

10/27/2018 NYC Mini Recap
Since there is a full length recording of this show as well as several videos, and because I want to be all caught up on recaps going into my next round of shows, this is just going to be a mini recap.
-I took a bus and two trains into the city, then walked several blocks.  I had planned to get there earlier than I did, but it all worked out, as due to some intense strategizing and brilliant execution on the part of @monopuffstan and @integrityproject , we snagged a spot in the front row in front of the drum riser.  It had been far too long since I had been over on that side of the stage, and I really enjoyed the change in perspective.
-While we were waiting, we saw a bunch of the backstage goings-on through a gap in a curtain that covered a balcony over stage left.  Just about everyone passed through that point before the show, and Dan and Linnell both peeked around the curtain to check out the crowd.
I- realized at this show that Curt has a tablet set up in front of his riser.
-The setlist wasn’t an exact replica of the night before, but it was fairly similar.
-Dan was right in front of us for the Damn Good Times solo, and it’s even more spectacular up close
-I got a smile from Danny towards the start of the show.  Towards the end, of the second set, you could see him checking the first few rows from one side of the crowd to the other and making sure he had acknowledged everyone he recognized.  I got another smile then, and I thought it was nice to see how much he cared about us fans.
-Linnell was taking pictures on a disposable camera as they came onstage, and while Flans was greeting the crowd.
-Flans referred to Terminal 5 as both “the concrete box that rocks” and “our home away from home, even when we are at home”
-Linnell apparently had slept most of the day, then had and exhausted conversation with his wife about how strange Canada was “that was weird”
-They claimed in touring Canada that the had missed Moosejaw and Winterhat, but had been to Sascacheeeee....
-Flans talked about going on someone’s twitter profile (sometimes when a person posts something incomprehensible, he explained, you have to check out their profile) and they described themselves as "shy af." He pretended to us that he had no idea what that could mean, and Linnell told him it was a photography term and it stood for out of focus.  “It all comes back to photography.”
-Flans mentioned that he had presented Robin with their first ever piece of taxidermy (the mini-tiger which he had mentioned in Ithaca).  They’ve decided to keep it in a nook at the top of their basement stairs.  What happened next is too hilarious not to include longform.
Flans:  The interesting thing about taxidermy is that you either lose all your friends or you gain a whole new set of friends who are just a little bit creepier.
Linnell: Or you could just taxidermy your old friends.  It’s a win-win.
Flans:  It’s that kind of outside of the box thinking that’s kept this band fresh for all these years
They continued on that vein  for a while, the exact wording of which I forget, then continued
Flans:  What’s a little cannibalism among friends?
Linnell: I didn’t say anything about cannibalism.
Flans: And that is the basis of our collaboration.  You mention taxidermy and I’m like “hey cannibalism!”
-Flans said the second set is all fusion rock and we’d have to pay to leave.
-When Linnell tried to start during the Future of Sound on his Kaoss pad, nothing happened and he had to reach up and turn it on, which everyone saw since the camera on his keyboard was projected to the big screen
-Flans told us we weren’t in the oversized paper clip section of staples when introducing the contra alto clarinet.
-When introducing All Time What, Flans said Dan was on the keyboards.  Dan eyes got huge, and he asked Danny about it.  Danny went over to Flans and told him that he was introducing a different song than was next on the setlist.  Flans asked him what was on the setlist, then brushed him off, saying that that was the song he was introducing.  Linnell then teased Danny that it was “a little early in the show to start fuckign everything up.”  Danny threw his hands in the air, walked back over to Dan, and said something to him, obviously to the effect of ‘are you going to play keyboards on this’ which Dan responded to with an adamant headshake.
-According to Flans they don’t have any other time to talk, so the show is also a meeting for them “last week they confronted me about the cold medicine and I was like ‘I don’t care guys, I am an autonomous individual of destruction.”
-According to Linnell, they wrote Let’s Get This Over With when they were “stone drunk and flat broke in the Louisiana rain,”  in a deep gravelly voice that he claimed was his “real” one
-Dan was wearing his Chicken Parm Shirt.  Linnell pointed out to us all that when he first came onstage wearing his jacket, it looked like it said “ick ar” and that when he was wearing his guitar strap it had said “chick arm.”  He thought maybe there was more to the shirt than just chicken parm.
-Since we were in New York, Flans figured everyone had a solid theatre background.  He told us the “safe word” for the night was new song.
-When Linnell announced they were reaching the end of the first set, he said it was “when we will be taking our hopefully well deserved break.”
-Flans apparently usually listens to an audiobook during the break.  Linnell thought it was a Keith Richards autobiography, but Flans claimed it was The Making of A Star is Born (which made Marty shoot him a dirty look).  They decided that the audiobook was narrated by Gilbert Godfrey, which was apparently an in-joke based on the rotating narrators of the Keith Richards’ autobiography, which Flans had been listening to.  Linnell has decided that the last chapter of every audiobook should be narrated by Gilbert Godfrey.
-During Spy, Linnell started yelling “Now the night is gone!” over the guys playing instead of using the song sample he has programmed.
-Curt felt a little bit towards the end of the first set  Dan covered a bit of his part during When Will You Die, and the Spy intro was a little shorter than it had been.  Whatever it was, he recovered a lot of his energy by the second set.
-I met @marcuskane briefly during the break between sets!
-Flans discussed George Soros again during the Quiet Storm.  Apparently, they are making The Shining 2 about him, and how he is everywhere, doing everything.
-Linnell told us in the future of 1844, everything has the word space in front of it: space beards, space horse-and-buggy, etc.
-Flans used the phrase “push back the hands of time” in introducing Applause Applause Applause, which caused a few gasps in the front few rows before they started the song.
-How Can I Sing Like a Girl was a “long distance dedication to anyone not running for the Supreme Court” because it “wouldn’t be the acoustic section without unwanted political comment.”
-The electronic drums in an acoustic set are “a musical non-sequitur” according to Flans
-Curt was right in front of us for the intro to Istanbul, which was unbelievable.
-Linnell claimed that he was a kid in the year 3000 BC before the Mesopotamians
-When Flans introduced the Sun as being the single off their new album, the crowd went wild like Flans had demanded they do for new songs during the previous set.
-“The sun is like a huge atom-smashing device for crushing. The heat and light from the sun are caused by the nuclear reaction between this finger. That’s it.”
-At the beginning of the show, some people were yelling out requests and Flans told them “That’s right, we’re not taking requests.” They tried it again before She’s an Angel, and someone handed Flans that fake setlist that had shown up on Miscellaneous T a few weeks before.  When thanking people individually a bit later, Flans told him “you have a lot of ideas but this is neither the time nor the place.”
-Dan’s guitar was having trouble during the second set and he had to switch to another for a few songs.
-Flans started Operation with “People of Terminal 5 New York, allow me to inform you about my operation.”
-Flans sang his individual thank yous to the crowd with Linnell’s keyboard accompaniment.
-During  band intros, Dan did that thing where he tracked and repeated bits then played over them, shutting it all off abruptly with his foot.
-Danny squeezed up next to Marty on the drum riser during Curts intro to have a conversation with him.  There is not enough room up there for two people
-Danny mimed eating when he was introduced as from Long Island “where the weak are killed and eaten” once again, but since he was using a ‘spoon’ it looked more like he was eating cereal from a bowl than the weak who had crossed him.
-“How bout that band? Only one rehearsal!”
-Coming out for the second encore, Linnell told us “You’ve made a happy band very old.”

Starting Over 2
A/n: light smut and again a trigger warning. RPF
Link to Chapter 1
Words; 2, 356
Pairings: Richard Speight Jr. x reader
_________
A few days had passed since Richard had asked you on the date and with each passing day things were getting more interesting with each passing day. You and Richard had been texting for the majority of the past couple of days. Jared didn't hesitate to give you grief over it either.
“Must you keep doing this?”
You asked when he questioned you about when you would be marrying Richard. Jared's snarky smile faded as he sat down on the couch.
“Is it bothering you?”
You shook your head.
“No, I am just ready to smack you over the head with something for being well...you.”
Jared chuckled knowing that you were fighting back a smile. He sat down on the couch beside you and leaned back against the couch.
“It's just good to see you smile.”
You looked at your brother with a raised eyebrow.
“I have to say that I was a little surprised that you was cool with me dating your friend.”
Jared shrugged.
“I know Richard is a good man and will treat you the way that you deserve. I know he's no Keith.”
Jared's face went sour at the mention of your ex's name. He looked down sadly at his feet. You knew that Jared was blaming himself. Reaching out you squeezed his hand.
“Jared, what happened with him wasn't your fault! You did what you were supposed to.  When you found out what was happening and hopped the next plane to come get me. Let's move on, okay?”
Jared nodded eagerly.
“You're right! I don't tell you enough but I am proud of you.”
Before you could move to hug him Jared had you in one of his best “bear hugs.” When he finally let you go, Jared stood.
“Better go get ready for your date. Richard will be here soon.”
20 minutes later you stood in your bedroom looking at your reflection. It was so different from going to heavy thick winter clothes to standing in a sundress. As you continued to make adjustments your cell phone rang. Looking down you heart froze seeing no other then Keith's number.
“Oh no! We aren't starting this!”
You immediately hit decline and went back to what you was doing until there was another noise from your phone. Looking down it was a text now. After months of being away, now Keith decided that he wanted to talk? Why did he think that you would remotely want to speak to him? What did he expect you to do? He beats the shit out of you then hocus pocus you are supposed to love him again?
“Y/n, we need to talk. It's been a while. Hear me out. Call me.”
You hit delete and smiled the moment you heard Richard's voice down the hall. There was no way that Keith was going to mess this up! You were going out with the man that you wanted! What was in the past was gone!
The first half of the date went perfectly. Richard had you laughing throughout dinner. You were relived that the smile hadn't left his face either! Deep down you were afraid that something would go wrong and he wouldn't like you as much as you had hoped. This however, turned out to be a false worry!
After dinner, the two of you went to a bar that was thankfully not too crowded. Richard pulled you into a booth in the back that was out of eye shot of most people.
“Now we can talk without all of the eyes.”
Richard said as he looked around making sure all was well. He leaned back into the booth enjoying that the two of you were super close.
“You look beautiful.”
He said looking you over for the millionth time of the night. You smiled knowing that he was trying to keep his eyes from lingering on your chest too much.
“Thank you. Its weird wearing such few clothes now. I am so used to wearing layers.”
Richard's eyes rolled back down to your bare shoulders and cleavage.
“Well I am not complaining, sugar. Sorry, this may come as a shock but my flirting skills are kind of off.”
Taking a leap of sheer faith, you reached out and let your hand stroke over his. Richard didn't waste a second before intertwining your hands.
“I think you are doing just fine.”
You said confidentially. As gently as possible, you let you fingers stroke the side of Richard's cheek. Richard looked at you seriously.
“You are going to have to tell me how fast you want this to go. I don't want to mess this up.
At the moment you didn't care how far it went. All you wanted was Richard's lips on yours.
“Kiss me.”
You managed to half whisper. Richard looked at you for a moment before reaching out  and pulling you into a kiss. Things quickly heated up and the next thing that you knew you were straddling Richard's lap. After a few minutes of heavy kissing and petting you slowly pulled away. Richard leaned his head back breathing heavily.
“Holy shit.”
He muttered becoming aware how hard he was under you. You pressed your lips together.
“I don't want you to think that I am a slut.”
You said, looking away from his intense gaze. Richard sat up slowly so that you were fulling sitting on his lap. His hands intertwined with yours.
“I wouldn't think that you were a slut, darlin.”
You sat quietly perched on his lap a moment longer before gently kissing him again.
“So I could tell you to take me home and have your way with me and you would want to see me again?'
You had to stop yourself from giggling at how Richard's eyes went to the size of quarters.
“Sugar, its going to take a lot more then sex on the first date to stop me from wanting to see you again. I haven't been with anyone in a while so trust me it won't be hard to talk me into going to bed with you.”
“So Richard, how about it. You and me....”
He quickly started looking around the bar with big eyes.
“Where the fuck did that bartender go?!”
15 minutes later you and Richard stood crammed against the wall of his living room. This was totally not what you had planned! This was the first time on a first date that you even considered sleeping with the person. Richard was different! Everything felt different! This had potential!
Richard's hands on your chest quickly pulled you from your thoughts as he tugged at the zipper on the back of your dress.
“This dress has been a tease the whole night. I have tried to not be a perv and stare at your boobs but I think I failed miserably.”
When he finally got the dress unzipped his hands reached up cupping your breasts before tugging your bra off. He stepped back looking impressed with himself.
“That is the easiest bra that I have ever gotten off. Pretty proud of myself.”
You laughed as he pulled you into the bedroom closing the door behind him.
Some time later you lay snugged on Richard's chest as he ran his fingers through your hair.
“So you don't think I am a slut?”
You questioned with a smile. Richard chuckled.
“If you are a slut then so am I. Y/n, you are perfect to me. Sweetheart if you want me to be a slut for you I believe that you have my name and number.”
The sense of no regret and no awkwardness was the best feeling in the world. This felt like what love making was supposed to feel like. Had you really been without this all of your adult life? Apparently so!
“I may have to take you up on that.”
You replied sweetly. Richard was quiet for a few moments before looking back at you. This time his expression was a lot more serious.
“Y/n I gotta know, is this a one time thing or do I get to see you again?”
Slowly sitting up so that you were leaning over him, you leaned down running your hand through his now very messy hair.
“What do you want?”
Richard quickly flipped you over so he was over you. You sighed happily at the feeling of his body pressed against yours.
“I want whatever I can get from you. I've been crushing over you like a teenager.”
You had never pulled someone into a kiss so fast in your life!
“Rich, I want this, us. I want to be yours.”
Richard looked relived as he went back to laying on his back with you in his arms.
“You got it princess.”
The following few months passed more quickly than any in recent memory. Things with Richard heated up quickly! It was wonderful being with someone that wanted you vs someone who felt like they had to deal with you!  Being wanted was the best feeling yet.
Jared and Gen had quit asking when you would be home at night after getting the message that you were sleeping at Richard's 90% of the time. The only time that you weren't together was when he was out of town for conventions or filming somewhere.
One morning you woke up earlier than normal. Richard had been out of town for almost two weeks and was coming by to pick you up. His plane had came in super early that morning. He had went home with Rob instead of getting you to come out that early in the morning; even though you were cool with it. When he promised to come and get you around 9 you agreed eagerly.
Walking down the stairs you felt your phone buzz. Expecting a message from Richard you almost tripped on the last step when you saw Keith's number.
“I mean it Y/n. You better call me. You need to get back to Alaska and get all of you shit you left or its going out in the snow! This is your last warning.”
You froze on the last step reading the messaging several times feeling that horrible sense of misery wash over you for the first time in months! How was it Keith always knew when you were enjoying life and had a way to spoil it?
Walking into the kitchen you knew that you were looking dreadful. The last thing you expected was to see Richard sitting at the table. The happy smile on his face faded the moment that he saw you.
“Sugar, are you okay?”
You nodded, putting on a forced smile.
“Yeah.”
Richard stood up after exchanging looks with Jared and Jensen.
“And I am no buying it. What's going on, Y/n?”
You looked up at him with frightened eyes as Richard's hands gently tilted you face to his. Jared didn't even move from his spot. He ran a hand over his face.
'What did Keith do now?”
Richard instantly looked furious as you took out your phone a handing it to Richard. He looked down at the message.
“Y/n please tell me that you aren't going to Alaska?”
You shook your head.
“He can just get rid of my stuff for all I care. Besides my restraining order is about up and I don't want to be anywhere near him.”
Jared stood.
“Wait, you left a lot of your stuff behind. Like pictures and stuff from our grandparents that we won't be able to get back.”
You shrugged.
“Not much I can do about it.”
Richard cleared his throat.
“I'll go to Alaska with you. You aren't going anywhere in that state without me.”
Jared nodded.
“Jensen and I are sure as hell going to. Trooper boy isn't starting his shit.”
You smiled, feeling relived. Before you could really give your thanks your cell phone that was still in Richard's hand. He looked down before rolling his eyes.
“Speak of the devil.”
He quickly hit the answer button as his face took on a whole new expression of rage that you hadn't seen before. He started talking furiously to Keith. For a moment you didn't listen. You didn't want to go into a panic attack! What if Keith told Richard a bunch of bullshit and ruined what you two had? You couldn't deal with that! For once in your life you had partner that was perfect for you!
When Richard spoke again he got your attention,
“Yeah, I am her new boyfriend and I am twice the man that you will ever be! My suggestion for you asshat is to stay the fuck away from my girl! Yeah? I don't care if you are a cop! I don't care if you are the god damn president! Fuck off!”
When Richard hung up, he put the phone down in a huff. Jensen and Jared were quiet for a moment. Both clearly had no idea what to say. You meanwhile, stepped forward wrapping your arms around Richard's shoulders. He didn't waste a second in tucking your head under his chin and holding you close.
Jensen was the first one to talk,
“Dude did you ever know when you get mad that your southern really shows?”
Richard gave him a scowl before pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
“You two might need to come along because if I run into that fucker I am going to be in jail.”
Jensen chuckled.
“Ah, I'll just punch him again.”
Richard looked pleased enough with the fact that he would have back up. The way that he was feeling right now he could probably knock Keith into the ground himself.
“Come on sugar. Lets go get some air.”
You couldn't agree more! Air was definitely what you needed!

Monday, January 16, 2017
We had a beautiful sunny weekend here in Ottawa and the Rideau Canal Skateway opened for the first time this winter. I went for a walk in the sun and then finished up the first volume of the two volume Strangers in Paradise Omnibus by Terry Moore which my partner Chris let me borrow. I read the story as floppies but it was very nice to re-read the story about the volcanic relationship between Francine and Katchoo again. I highly recommend any comic book that Terry does.
Scarlet Witch #14 - James Robinson (writer) Shawn Crystal (art) Chris Brunner (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). Wanda's journey along the Witch's Road finally comes to an end with the expected result of witchcraft being cured. It's neat that Shawn's art pays homage to Steve Ditko's Doctor Strange dimensional vistas but why is Agatha Harkness young looking now?
Unworthy Thor #3 - Jason Aaron (writer) Kim Jacinto & Olivier Coipel (art) Matthew Wilson (colours) VC's Joe Sabino (letters). The Collector's hammer is being sought by many. The Odinson wants it and so does Thanos. My money is on U-Thor and his companions getting their hands on it in the end.
Amazing Spider-Man Renew Your Vows #3 - Gerry Conway (writer) Ryan Stegman (art) Sonia Oback (colours) VC's Joe Caramagna (letters). This issue features Anna May Parker in and out of costume. Gerry must watch a lot of Nickelodeon to make his kids sound so authentic. Annie is young, foolish and hot-headed which makes for some interesting situations. This is a fun book that I think more fans should be reading.
Justice League/Power Rangers #1 - Tom Taylor (writer) Stephen Byrne (art & colours) Deron Bennett (letters). I don't read either of these teams' comic books but I like Tom's writing so I picked this up to see what he could do with these characters. I have no clue what the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are about but they seem like a decent bunch. The story is pretty basic with an accidental interdimensional hop including a super villain. If you like the Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle team up you'll enjoy this too.
Moonshine #4 - Brian Azzarello (writer) Eduardo Risso (art & colours) Jared H. Fletcher (letters). If the creature doesn't make you howl then Tempest will by the time you get to the end of this issue. I did not see that coming.
Daredevil #15 - Charles Soule (writer) Goran Sudzuka (art) Matt Milla (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). Here's something else I did not see coming. We have the return of one of Daredevil's arch enemies back from the dead. At least I think they died. It's hard to keep track.
Action Comics #971 - Dan Jurgens (writer) Stephen Segovia (pencils) Art Thibert (inks) Arif Prianto (colours) Rob Leigh (letters). The trial of Lex Luthor takes a surprising turn and he and Superman are still not home free. Meanwhile back home, Lois and Jon are caught in a place where they shouldn't be by Clark Kent. It's going to be fun to see how mom and son explain their trespass.
Groo: Fray of the Gods #4 - Sergio Aragones & Mark Evanier (writers) Sergio Aragones (art) Tom Luth (colours) Stan Sakai (letters). It's always distracting whenever the Minstrel appears in a Groo comic book because of the ever changing end of his instrument. This mini ends with much dining and fraying for Groo but the gods don't actually fight throughout this story. Oh well, what do you expect from a Groo comic?
Uncanny Avengers #19 - Gerry Duggan (writer) Pepe Larraz with Rodrigo Zayas (art) Dono Sanchez Almara (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). Looks like the Red Skull has this team in his complete control but there is one hero left to come to the rescue. It's Gerry's homeboy Deadpool. Wade can't do it all alone so it's team up time. I like who he rustles up to help save the day.
Wonder Woman #14 - Greg Rucka (writer) Nicola Scott (art) Romulo Fajardo Jr. (colours) Jodi Wynne (letters). This issue concludes "Year One" with a battle between Diana and Ares the God of War. One must suspend belief that Diana can fly all around the world carry Steve Trevor to stop the poison gas from being deployed. Maybe she got help from Santa Claus. I felt a little let down by Greg with that miracle move, but otherwise this story has been pretty good. Good enough for me to keep reading now that the first two storylines have ended.
Red Sonja #1 - Amy Chu (writer) Carlos Gomez (art) Mohan (colours) Simon Bowland (letters). I hope you read the twenty-five cent #0 or you will be wondering how Sonja ends up in modern Manhattan. Amy solves the problem of Sonja speaking ancient Hyrkanian by introducing a handsome young police officer who sort of understands the language. This is quite similar to the Rebirth Wonder Woman book but different enough that a long time fan  like me still finds it worth reading.
Occupy Avengers #3 - David F. Walker (writer) Carlos Pacheco (pencils) Rafael Fonteriz (inks) Sonia Oback with Wil Quintana (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). I'm not a fan of the title. I think comic book buyers have Avengers fatigue and would be more likely to buy this book if it was called Marvel Team-Up starring Hawkeye. I am enjoying it so far and would recommend it. Here we have Hawkeye and Red Wolf getting help from Nighthawk and his sidekick Deadly Nightshade to track down some shady cybernetics in Chicago. There are some surprise appearances at the end of this issue but they do make sense when you consider the evidence that Hawkeye brings to the search. Next issue should have some wahoo fun.
Detective Comics #948 - James Tynion IV & Marguerite Bennett (writers) Ben Oliver (art) Marilyn Patrizio (letters). Batwoman Begins part one. This is a good primer to read before Kate's own book hits the racks next month. I hope DC doesn't screw it up again.
Dr. Strange/The Punisher: Magic Bullets #2 - John Barber (writer) Jason Muhr (storyboards) Andrea Broccardo & Dominike "Domo" Stanton (art) Andres Mossa (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). I like Stephen and Frank and thought that the two of them teaming up would be fun but this story is turning into an unbelievable magical mystery tour with bad art. Shoot me now.
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #12 - Robert Venditti (writer) Ethan Van Sciver (art) Jason Wright (colours) Dave Sharpe (letters). Green and Yellow Lantern Corps combine to crush the Orange Corp. Larfleeze even helps. Ethan draws the best aliens.
Jessica Jones #4 - Brian Michael Bendis (writer) Michael Gaydos (art) Matt Hollingsworth (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). The meeting with Captain Marvel explains a lot and made me decide to stick with this. I really hope Luke and Jessica's marriage doesn't suffer from what Jess has to do.
Totally Awesome Hulk #14 - Greg Pak (writer) German Peralta (art) Jay David Ramos & Dono Sanchez Almara (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). The two part team up with Jeremy Lin ends, thank Thor. This one is great for the kiddies but I found it to be a bit silly.
Ms. Marvel #14 - G. Willow Wilson (writer) Takeshi Miyazawa (art) Ian Herring (colours) VC's Joe Caramagna (letters). The World of Battlecraft fight to start off this issue was fun. Now that Bruno's gone (I miss him), Kamala has to figure out stuff on her own. Someone is stalking her but we don't know if he's good or evil. I'm guessing evil since he looks like the Green Goblin.
Spider-Man/Deadpool #13 - Joe Kelly (writer) Ed McGuinness (pencils) Mark Morales, John Dell & Ed McGuinness (inks) Jason Keith (colours) VC's Joe Sabino (letters). It's an adventure in Weirdworld as the two heroes recover from their fight with Itsy Bitsy. I really like Joe's version of Wade with the soupcon of humanity.
Guardians of the Galaxy #16 - Brian Michael Bendis (writer) Valerio Schiti (art) Richard Isanove (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). This issue is one long poem featuring everyone's favourite sentient one phrase tree. He is Groot. Some of the verses made my brain cringe however. I hope this isn't the last issue that Brian writes because I would hate to see his run end on a dissatisfying note.
Justice League vs. Suicide Squad #4 - Joshua Williamson (writer) Fernando Pasarin (pencils) Matt Ryan (inks) Alex Sinclair with Jeremiah Skipper (colours) Rob Leigh (letters). Max Lord and his team of super villains break into Belle Reve Penitentiary to get the thing that he needs to take over the world. We haven't seen this artefact since that special cover from 1992. I wish I can remember how they beat that bad guy 25 years ago then I wouldn't have to read the last 2 issues of this mini.
Inhumans vs. X-Men 2 - Jeff Lemire & Charles Soule (writers) Leinil Francis Yu (pencils) Gerry Alanguilan (inks) David Curiel (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). This war of the genetically enhanced seems to be contrived given what the Mutants' objective is in attacking Attilan, the home of the Inhumans. They couldn't just ask? I'm reading this because I love Leinil's art and it's still pretty exciting. Plus you never know what shocking "deaths" will claim the life of  some characters.
Mighty Thor #15 - Jason Aaron (writer) Russell Dauterman (art) Matthew Wilson (colours) VC's Joe Sabino (letters). The Asgard/Shi'Ar War starts here. Don't know why the Shi'Ar are all up in arms but I'm sure we'll find out. Russell is back drawing the whole issue and that makes me very happy. Judging from the cover the Unworthy Thor could be involved and that makes me excited.
Spider-Man #12 - Brian Michael Bendis (writer) Sara Pichelli (art) Gaetano Carlucci (inking assist) Justin Ponsor (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). It's interdimensional adventure time. Miles goes to another dimension to rescue his dad. There he meets Spider-Gwen as depicted on the cover. The kissy face must come later because this issue is all set up. This story crosses over with Spider-Gwen #16 and I like Miles so much that I will actually read that issue to see what happens next.
All-New Wolverine #16 - Tom Taylor (writer) Nik Virella (art) Michael Garland (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). Laura's current predicament in Madripoor seems simple and boring until you get to the last page and BOOM, someone comes out of left field. Things just got less boring.
