Boun’s Writing His Vampire Series

Last spring, to the best of my memory, Boun said that he’d found a screenwriter for the vampire series he’s been wanting to make for the past four years (at least).

He told fans that he’d showed Prem the premise as well as the script for the first episode, and Prem recommended some changes, so it’s been clear from the start that this is very much Boun’s project. It’s also a collaborative one between BounPrem, and to my personal delight, Boun has a significant amount of control and influence over the final product. Since Boun was the one who changed Win’s punch to a hug and Prem was the one who thought up and requested to add the ending to Between Us, I have a lot of optimism and faith in their creative choices.

New’s directing, but from everything I’ve seen, Boun’s producer, leading actor, and now, it seems, he’s even writing what I assume is part of the script (since they had a screenwriter at some point, though maybe he decided to do it all by himself?).

A few days ago, Boun shared an update on the progress of the series:

“I’m currently writing the script, and it’s just about finished. Please look forward to it, because this series is my project. I’m working really hard on it. I decided to do it because I love vampires. Now, it’s looking like we’ll start filming in April.” *translated from a Japanese translation

He also mentioned that his character, the vampire Ramil, has had some adjustments in the final draft of the script. In the teaser—released in November with 1M views—Ramil already appears to be a cold character, but Boun said he’s made him even colder.

it originally was 'obstreperous' which means 'noisy and difficult to control' but i kept forgetting how to spell it so i shortened it to obsob bc it sounds funny and i cry a lot !

the older i get and the closer i am to reaching 30, the more the people around me try to deny me my age. it’s a constant ‘oh you’re just turning 29 again teehee 🤭’ or ‘dont tell your SO that, he’ll leave you for a younger model 😉’ and i just???? hate it?????????

i spent my entire teenaged years fighting for my life. i crawled through the deepest pits of my depression to cling to the promise of a life beyond that pain. i was so convinced that i was going to die young, that i would never see the grace of my age starting with a 2, let alone 3.

so im going to turn 30, and there’s not a damn thing anyone can do to stop me from loving it.

my prof just explained on the syllabus that he’s included more points in the class than we needed to pass, so we could skip up like?? 20 small assignments/quizzes/participation!! and still get a very high grade!!

the idea was that we could focus on assignments that played to our strengths - only do the participation stuff if we like to talk out loud - only do the quizzes/readings if we want to do the class remotely - only do online discussions if we like to talk and share opinions but struggle with anxiety in class ect.

and that’s cool enough but then he pulled up DnD character sheets with drawings he’d done of these hypothetical student player classes and how our various accessibility needs could be gamified to ‘max out’ different aspects of the class to get high grades and like!!!!!

hell yeah!!!! let’s treat accessibility in higher education not just as a necessity but as the fun, engaging, and creative aspect of learning that it is!!! I love this!!

I think we as a society should bring back brotps. I think we should be weirder about characters being friends the same way people are weird about ships. Make those two characters who interacted once or twice besties. Make it difficult for them to get rid of each other even if they want to. Go nuts
