Since it may be already #thursday all over the world, here’s a #throwback to the good ol #granturismo6 days, where some memories were formed, and some potential build ideas were thought of.

Wow it was quite a lot of fun back then, even though GT Sport actually is fun on its own.

That was a time period where I actually had high mileage cars, and also it was when #SSRX #specialstageroutex was a thing. It was also quite a nice phase to test out the #GTR - which is given some hints to in my latest livery.

In GT Sport community terms, I think I have stepped up my ante.

My other blog, @apex-man-47, will be featuring a few things - one of which is what I'm doing rn - a track day extravaganza with a bone stock GTR NISMO.

Have yet to do photos but I will say that the car is fun with the way the base settings are set up. Might be tuning the transmission a smidgen for the SSRX run but NTL it seems like I'm doing okay for a base setup of a track day car.

In the meantime though I'm also watching some Netflix. For starters? John Wick.

And yeah, the Star Player thing came yesterday - I'm registered as a part of it now!

Cirillo takes over at myMatrixx

myMatrixx, Express Scripts’ workers’ comp PBM brand, will name Mike Cirillo President on Monday April 2.

Cirillo most recently led Injured Workers’ Pharmacy’s effort to enter the PBM space. He has deep experience in work comp claims from his days at the Hartford’s SRS TPA, along with 5 years at IWP.

He will replace myMatrixx CEO Artemis Emslie, who, as we’ve noted previously, announced her decision to step down at the end of last year. Those are some big shoes to fill, as Artemis is universally well-liked and well-regarded for her depth of knowledge and long experience in work comp pharmacy and related businesses.

The changeover comes at a critical time. Currently there are multiple payers deep into the RFP process, more so than I’ve seen at any one time in recent years.  Several are seriously evaluating switching PBMs.

IWP’s effort to launch a new work comp PBM started just over a year ago. The PBM, branded SpecialtySolutionsRx, did not gain much traction, perhaps due to payers’ views of IWP as part of the problem, not part of the solution to work comp drug issues. There is no current information available about Specialty Solutions on IWP’s site.

It is likely SSRx is in a holding pattern for the time being.

What distinguishes USB 3.0 from 2.0

The USB 3.0 connectors have five additional contacts (SSTX + and SSTX- for transfer from the host to the device, SSRX + and SSRX- for transfer from the device to the host as well as the GND GND).

Nevertheless, the fast 3.0 standard is partially downward compatible with USB 2.0. For example, USB 2.0 devices with connector type A can be easily operated on a USB 3.0 port of type A and vice versa. It looks a bit different with Type B connectors (known by printers) as well as the mini-USB connections common with digital cameras, mobile phones and MP3 players. USB 2.0 devices can be connected to USB 3.0 sockets. Due to the additional contacts, USB 2.0 jacks do not accept USB 3.0 connectors.

At the speed, USB 3.0 is the same as USB 2.0 after the weakest link in the chain. A USB 3.0 device is thus transferred to a USB 2.0 controller with a maximum of 480 Mbps (high-speed mode with USB 2.0). In order to reach the full 5 Gbps (super-speed mode), you need a USB 3.0 controller and a USB 3.0 cable. This can be up to 4.5 meters long and is characterized by a blue colored inner part. By comparison, older USB cables inside are usually white or black.

Because it's soooooo well made of an Easter egg that it's even more of one than the S2000 or the Gr.3 car I'm fronting in the race league!

That, for reference is the "top speed" build I currently main for the infamous SSRX lobbies that are held every so often.

And top speed wise, of course, I'd be the one behind the wheel rather than putting it on auto-drive.

Just for Tumblr's sake, I will spill out the Easter eggs I've made on the (now) 3 cars that have some form of it.

But not now, maybe tomorrow if I can.

And yes, the TS GTR does link its Easter egg with reality in some context that I'll be having fun explaining. Tag at the end should help.

Well that was an awesome thought last night

So uh, last night brought me some want of a couple action shots of my Michelin Supra on Fuji to bring this into more of an actual opening chapter

And in the midst of it all I realized that off the top of my head I may have three chapters, with on being the Nurburgring enduro from a week ago or so and also a bit of something else - rental cars, if not a trip through a city and a track showcase.

Chapter ideas on my head would include FIA races for sure BUT at a base are the following:

- Japan-based

- Nordschleife Enduro + Race weekend (harkens to a daily race)

- and a chapter possibly on that SSRX battle from a month ago involving me making a comeback.

May be doing a chapter if I find time so March may be a good one for the first one.

Also if I do manage to do so I might do a flashback-esque chapter involving GT6 or GT5 photos if I manage to dig out the ones I have in mind and maybe involve some irl stuff too!

Wouldn't mind having chapter suggestions but I might have another one in mind too that I just remembered - I have an actual cameo in a Monza race that happened for a fellow (and newly discovered fiction writer on the same series) player a while back so that can be another one!
