Day 1 — Iori
“When I realised that I should just go my own way, everything became so much easier.” — Iori, A Bright Future
Iori is a reliable and headstrong character, she’s shown to easily pick up others’ fundamentals and is set in her goals. She is part of the side cast for Leo/need and debuts in the event Don’t Let Doubts Hold You Back. She’s part of the sub-unit STANDOUT (my personal favourite sub-unit alongside ReLight, I’ll admit).
She performs on stage, and her role is not specified to my knowledge, but she doubles as STANDOUT’s lyricist. She expresses prioritising wording her thoughts best when it comes to writing music. In the game files, she is listed solely as ‘iori’ in regard to name.
Iori appears in events Don’t Let Doubts Hold You Back (although her feature is quite limited), Musical Twilight Parade, Resonating with You, A Bright Future, The Night Sky We Saw That Day, Someday in the Distant Future (Hinomori Shiho, Chapter 1), Our Constellation of Song, and Happy Enjoy Music.
My thoughts? Fantastic character! I’ve adored her since debut. I’ll admit I didn’t like how she’d gone about Mio’s ‘abandonment’, but afterwards, I really started loving her. I’m looking forward to seeing what they’re planning on doing with her considering Happy Enjoy Music’s surprisingly ominous ending note.
