he can barely focus on the lights that are painted across the ceiling , back lain firmly on the comforter as he could feel the beats against his rib cage slow . it wasn’t supposed to be like this - elijah told himself hours ago that this was the night he would finally take control , that he would stop letting whatever thoughts he allowed to course within his mind from taking over . but it was maybe three to four choices too late . his fingers tap the outside of his phone , trying to center himself on something , anything , other than the way his vision is forcing itself in & out of focus . he eventually brings the phone to his face , swiping through random texts , missed phone calls , until he lands on one name . he assumes it to be random , but the slight bit of relief he feels seeing her name was enough to tell him otherwise . part of him hopes she doesn’t answer when he dials , doesn’t want her to even hear him like this , but it was too late when he hears orion’s voice on the other end of the line . ‘ i was thinking about something earlier . . . ‘ he doesn’t even give her enough time to give a proper greeting , rather sinks his head further into the pillow he’s made for himself from the pile of clothes on his bed . ‘ my parents would have loved you - i think . ‘ the words are far more certain than they should be , slurred against his lips as he attempts to shift to his side . doesn’t succeed . god , he felt like he was sinking . ‘ i think they would . ‘ ( @rcinberry​ )

He told Knox that he’d be gone tonight, and if his brother had a problem with it he’d have to take it up with him later. He wanted to surprise her, and that's just what he was gonna do. Buying a bouquet of red roses on the way to the carnival. He looked like a lost puppy trying to find Buffy in the swarm of strange faces. But once he spotted her the biggest smile consumed his whole face. There she was, his girl. He couldn’t wait any longer. Shouting her name so she would notice he held out his arms ready to be tackled in her embrace once more.

I'm 5'4 with short, wavy brown hair and eyes. I use they/them pronouns, and my personality type is infp, ambiverted.
