I have a heinous sunburn, my tailbone region is bruised and abraded, my stomach issues resolved after 800mg of anti-dysentery pills, I have a newfound and passionate appreciation for hot water and paved roads, and we finally made it back to the city today. This was probably one of the most unwise yet exhilarating things I've ever done in my life. Also I saw more yaks.

#to be more accurate #after we wiped out once where the road was completely sand and i had to extricate myself from under a 450cc motorbike #in a very remote region of a developing country with no health insurance being driven by a guy I'd just met #i started to think this was the stupidest fucking thing I'd ever done in my life #then i came to terms with it #I guess this is who i am and how i roll #although not so much rolling as jolting violently over the dubious excuse for a road #it was just rocks at times but i have no pics cause I was holding on for my life #it could also be how my midlife crisis is manifesting #i don't think i actually had dysentery but that was what my friend rustled up + i really didn't want to have to go to the army base hospital

transphobia aside, its also a huge pet peeve of mine when people are like “oh tee hee i havent actually engaged with the canon material at all aside from maybe a few clips on youtube, but ive decided the canon is stupid shit anyways and fanon is all that matters!” like not only does that just feel disrespectful and rude for no good reason, especially in the context of indie creators, but it personally annoys me as someone who always overthinks this shit and has several tabs open when im just making headcanons or whatever, let alone writing a fic. like you just dont care? what’s the point, then?

#ik that sounds ironic from someone with a wc blog but actually this attitude in wc is partly why i dislike it sm #i think its unreasonable to expect people to have read the whole thing bc its long and stupid and contradictory #and hell i agree with outright dismissing certain aspects #but it leads to people harassing others over characters where they admit they have little context for why they act the way they do #but are just acting based on what fans said #and isat is like. not wc. its a shorter indie game thats fairly accessible at this point which has a rich story and characters #and ofc im not saying aus are bad or ooc stuff is bad. i just got done watching a pokemon anime rewrite i really enjoyed #but being so blatantly rude and dismissive of canon and saying its inherently dumb shit and you can do better #its like…. do you… have fun? reading and watching and listening and engaging with media?#bc if youre dismissive of it and just waiting to shove everyone into what YOU want them to be. sanding off everything you dont like #….. idk if youre really all that into the creative process

#in other news… wORK IS OVER PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#man. i’m s o tired. i can’t believe i survived almost 2 whole years at this job…#huh. come to think of it… i started tling idol sengen before i even got this job lol. and i’m only 3/5 of the way through it…#can’t believe the idol sengen grind->hiatus->grind(?) outlives my time at [withheld] company…#i did end up spending a cool 20 mins cleaning out my work locker though. i found so many treasures i didn’t even know i had in there #like. there was an unopened 3-pack of wet tissues a n d an unopened box of pens that i don’t recall buying #and ofc the 3 random sponges i ‘liberated’ from the lab. don’t tell my boss lmao #w a i t now that i think about it i should’ve taken at least 1 vial of (allegedly) carcinogenic sand for the memories. dammit.#oh well. what’s done is done i suppose. i did receive way more chocolate than i could ever eat though…#y. yeah. i guess i’ll miss my coworkers (a little). they were fun to annoy every day. except for the new guy bc i don’t like him at all lol #i have never met someone who lacked as much common sense as he. i think he’s gonna get canned before he’s able to resign on his own terms #dude could be spoonfed through every single step of the testing process and *still* mess up somewhere smh #but no. this isn’t about him. even though he is the final straw that led to my decision to resign #hm. looking back on it now. i think i was pretty good at my job for the most part when it came to the things i could do #or maybe i was too good at it. like. to the point where even more experienced analysts were coming to me in search of help #prolly gonna miss being one of the very best (out of like a grand total of 10 people at the lab) at doing ftir-related tests #ehehehehehehe i wonder if that workstation will continue to stay as organised as it is now that i’m gone #a n d i wonder what my coworkers will do now that they can’t ask me for ms excel help for the smallest of things lol #sometimes i just wanna tell them to g o g o o g l e i t ! ! ! when they call me over for it. but alas.#can’t believe these guys know how to use c h a t g p t and not ms excel (despite having it on their resume) smh #omg wow this got long and incoherent sorry guys i think i need some sleep lol. idol sengen next week..#…maybe…? no promises though!!!!!

Hehe, I’ll admit that while I have headcanons on the fly for galvans and cerebrocrustaceans to guess at how they’ll react interacting with a friend’s friend (ccs being more obvious and welcoming in the friend group, potentially galvans having jealousy issues or even just fascination someone can have more than one friend and ones with such differences), but I have no idea how tetramands and appoplexians would react lmao, at least not beyond your appoplexian friend being confounded by how nice your cerebrocrustacean friend is (potentially versus any bias they might’ve learnt) met with a mutual confusion when your cerebrocrustacean friend sees you and your appoplexian friend verbally and or physically roughhousing :P

Things I Want from the Next Ep of Only Friends

At least two scenes with Nick and Sand being friends. We didn't get enough, I want more of the two of them!!

Related, I kind of want a scene with Nick and Ray. I want to become weirdly close friends and both Boston and Sand finding a little weird (not in a jelous way, more in like I am not sure how I feel about this way).

The start of a storyline for Chuem and April (I have some ideas of possibilities)

Any hints about Top and Sand backstory (seriously I need answears!!!) @respectthepetty Looks like we will have to wait at least until the next episode or more to know why these two hate each other!!

SIDE NOTE: I have a new theory, what if they were both dating the same person for a while? Like Sand was in an open relationship and the person he was dating was also sleeping with Top??

Anything that can help me understand why Mew is willing to be be Top and ingore all the red flags. Seriously this man has avoided all relationship so far, why is Top special, why ignore all the signals that Top is not the one for him. Why Top???

#as usual I have a terrible case of back from the beach blues #I miss the ocean and the sand and the seagulls and I wanna go back T_T #home and work are both shitshows and all I wanna do is lounge in the sun and swim in the sea #I miss the salty air #i keep trying to tell myself not to be bummed cause I have a few shorter trips planned #going back to Cape May next month either for a day trip or overnight the one weekend with my sister in law #and I might be going back to Ocean City for a long weekend in September for local’s summer #and me and my husband are planning on taking a day trip and exploring a few of Delaware’s beaches along the bay #that one’s a little more up in the air but likely September or October #and then we’re doing Kitt’s Hummock and Woodland Beach for sure #might do Deemer’s Beach cause it’s literally 3 mins away from the one shop we’re stopping at #but I’ve heard that’s not a great beach so we’ll see #might possible also do Bennett’s Pier Beach and Slaughter Beach and stop at the DuPont Nature Center #so three trips- one being a day trip the other being either a day trip or overnight and a possible third trip that’s a few days long #I’m excited for the Delaware one cause I’ve only ever been to Fenwick Island and Slaughter Beach #and like yeah they’re beaches on the Delaware Bay so it’s brackish and muddy but I don’t care #I’m just excited to explore some beaches I’ve never been to #but man the main big vacation is over and I have to wait a whole year and that’s what’s got me down I guess #little vexing about the distance #love that my fav place is only 3.5 hours away #but it’s just far enough to be a bit much for a day trip which is a bummer #we’ve done day trips in the past and they’re very fun but also very tiring #so I tend to only get to Ocean City MD once or twice a year #which bummer cause it’s my favorite beach #the beaches that are only like an hour and 20 mins aren’t that great Jersey-wise #so hopefully the Delaware adventure turns up a few that I end up liking a lot #I need to live closer to the ocean #I’m trying but man is shit expensive anymore ._.#one day soon I hope…

I hate that I hate doing things in my own dude but it's so fucking boring !!!

#i dont go out to eat and i dont go to the movie theater so like the two biggest Default Hang activities are completely non-options for me #i dont like seeing movies in theatre 1) the local one sucks and 2) i cant sit still for over a half hour in a chair that makes me want to #become an arsonist.#ive been to Fancy Good Fun movie theatres and seen Incredible Higjly Rated films and still been like #20 mins in. is it going to be over soon? can i leave? please?#i like going to the library and shopping and walking down by the river and in the woods #but i also Dont Like The Beach because sand makes me want to become a fucking terrorist and the water safety index thing #sent me on a spiral sooo bad ♡ also im too body conscious to enjoy myself #the public pools okay excepts its expensive and over crowded 100% of the time #rock beachs are good i like swimming i just eugh #i also. dont like going to the gyms indoor pool.#its so fucking echoy in there i get a migraine thinking about it #i do like their sauna tho but. again. priced out of that experience! wahoo! also the stairs there are designed to torture me #i like eating outside i like picnics in theory i just cant get comfortable sitting in like 98% of places for more than like 30 mins.#at some point some part of my body is going to start hurting so bad i want to throw up.#i like playing video games and board games but i dont have any consoles or board games so like.#man. idk!#i hate doing things alone bcus i Was Alone for 3 years with my only social contact being my abusive family #i would speak to them maybe 3 times a month and get out of the house maybe 2 times and #idk! idk its just like! okay! im done being socialy isolated!!!#>every activity that you can do to hang out with people is unappealing to me or causes me physical damage #😭 okay nvm!!!

Done with the worst parts of sanding :)

#if the remaining bits look uneven. its on purpose. i havent sanded the right yet. i want to kind of sit with him for a bit before shaping #the smaller bits further :)#the color difference is also pretty bad 😥 i didn't realize how yellowed the body was until i got to work so... i will have to do SOMETHING #to cover that. or just embrace it idk :) the character is a robot thats used 2 be high tech and is now sort of falling apart so im not super #bothered ig with like... any of the resin color differences bc i can just say its faded from use/storage or whatever do #*so. its all ok :) the only other time ive done something like this is my little top surgery on another doll (he was brand new so had no #yellowing rly) so im like... not super bothered i think :) pretty happy w it being my second big dremel project lol. definitely have a lot #of plans w him so im happy to be feeling well enough to work on him today :)#bjd posting #twist rambles #idr what his name even is... makes me sound like a bad doll owner but when i do remember ill toss these posts in his tag :)

Still think it’s stupid and weird that it’s some kind of unspoken canon that the nightlights just inbred forever when they could have so easily had them crossbreed with a similarly built dragon. Could’ve just gone oh yeah the nightlights genes are so strong you can’t even tell 1300 years later that at some point they introduced some idk sand wraith to their gene pool so they weren’t literally breeding with their siblings. Shit they could’ve just gone oh there’s multiple light furies Toothless’s girlfriend isn’t the last one boom problem solved

#plus then they could’ve had a bit more freedom with thunder/the other ‘modern’ nightlights designs instead of them all being varying degrees #of black and white that don’t really look good #like. sand wraiths are brownish right. imagine if they’d done that and introduced browns and yellows into the color scheme. could’ve done a #star kind of pattern but nooo gotta keep the dragon bloodline pure even if that means it’s incestuous #obviously any other similarly shaped specie could work. my first thought is just sand wraiths because. well look at them #I mean they were literally called sand fury before they decided to keep fury to just night fury and light fury. they’re perfect for this #zoracontent #this has been in my drafts since before I watched the third movie so I didn’t know if it was a plot point there or not that she was the only #light fury. but I didn’t notice any mention of light furies being extinct soo
