pondering that falon'din is associated with an owl, and those are also messengers of andruil. and he's referred to as "winged death" which is also mentioned to be something that elgar'nan deploys against enemies. and both falon'din and andruil are referred to as venturing into dark places, where no one else can survive/wanted to go.

and ghilan'nain was not initially an evanuris, but was antagonistic towards them and making a bunch of weird creatures. she was given the offer to join them in return for getting rid of the creatures, and accepted. but with "pride stopping her hand" from destroying a few. and when asked about trusting people to share power, solas says "I know that mistake well enough to carve the angles of her face from memory."

solas also has nothing good at all to say about falon'din, mostly calling him a bloodthirsty tyrant who went so far in encroaching onto other evanuris territory that mythal had to besiege his temple and beat him up to stop him.

but he says nothing about dirthamen at all.

dirthamen is described as having gone missing unexpectedly, scaring all his followers, because they were now unprotected. and caught between their own high priest wanting to lock them into the temple forever like a cask of amontillado, and other forces outside that wanted to take their secrets by force. there is one note that a dirthamen follower defied the evanuris and took on a forbidden (probably a dragon) type of form, and was judged by elgar'nan harshly. he apparently also invented the varterral to protect his town from a high dragon? wack, but also could indicate that he had worked with ghilan'nain on making it, since she's the only one who's otherwise mentioned to be bioengineering stuff.

dirthamen has very very few surviving statues or depictions, and is more associated with falon'din than as his own independent figure in the dalish myths. even his own temple includes mosaics of falon'din. there's a few statues that are probably dirthamen, but the most striking is in mythal's section of the fade behind the eluvian, which is a statue of a hooded figure, doubled over with a giant sword sticking out of his back.

Truly don't understand why there are so many articles and posts speculating about who has been cast as Dorothy in Wicked For Good. Like... she doesn't matter. That's the point. This is not her story. I'd put money on us never even getting a clear shot of her face in the movie.

Like, the musical does so much work to make the story not about her. The musical specifically only shows the melting in silhouette because that's the part of the story the audience already knows. We don't need to explore who Dorothy is or her motivations because we already know them, there's a whole other movie about her. We are re-framing the story, seeing it from another perspective, one where The Witch is allowed to be the fully formed character and Dorothy is reduced to a plot device. She does not matter to Elphaba, there is no greater connection between them, she's just a random girl who was manipulated by the Wizard to try and steal her broom, there is nothing bigger going on. Which is why it is so deliberate in the musical that we do not see her. She could be anyone.

I’ve been thinking about Mcsm again so I decided to work out my Soren design for my Scattered Feathers Au — a combination of my self indulgent rewrite Au (Scattered Pages) and a wing au (Minecraft Flying Mode).

On the wing au side of things, Soren has elytra wings (based on earwig wings) which are apart of the End family. the tail and antennae follow the earwig inspiration, the face markings are based on the actual item elytra and the white pupil/miscoloured sclera come from being apart of the end family.

Though something unique to Soren would be the state of his wings, I wonder what happened to them 👀

I’ll be delving more into this Au in the future, just know that Soren plays a big part in it (delving into how his books ended up where they are and how some of the important/powerful artefacts were made) and he is not having a great time.

bit irritated that work said i struggle taking criticism and managing emotions and that it's bad for morale only to say "but we don't want you to be unfeeling either !"

the 2 times i actually broke down were just instances of a straw breaking the camel's back and i don't take it out on anyone ever and what i ACTUALLY did was 1. tear up at work and say "hey yeah sorry things are a lot and I'm tired" and 2. cry in a bathroom a tad loudly only to get my shit together again 5 minutes later like tf do you want me to do, i don't have a great life like y'all seem to have shit's tough and I'm doing my job sorry I'm not perma happy about it outside of basic professionalism and i never said once that these instances were fully born out of the criticism i got

like no it's not my workplace's job to be my therapist but you Feeling Bad because i Feel Terrible isn't exactly shit that helps to hear cause again these are the feelings i got and as long as i stay professional the rest is my own goddamn business
