Pupae defense of Schistophleps albida
Unlike the intricately crafted cage cocoons of Cyana meyricki, this species ops to just standing hairs on their end around the cocoon.
Much like sharpened wooden stakes.

Order Lepidoptera
Superfamily Noctuoidea
Family Arctiidae
Subfamily Lithosiina “Footmen” and “Lichen moths”
The Larval stage (yet to be photographed) has yet to be found on its food plant. I usually see this caterpillar, not only on lichen and bark, but also on man-made structures.
This species is found in QLD and NSW.
