Do you love science experiments?🌋⁣ ⁣ My son loves doing experiments - especially those that cause an explosion!  The hubby and kids made a paper mache volcano this week and today was the day that they made it erupt.⁣ ⁣ With just a few household items - an empty bottle, vinegar, baking soda, soap, and a little bit of food coloring - you can have your kids laughing and learning for hours! ⁣ ⁣ Do you have a science activity that you think we should do next?⁣ ⁣ @carryonwithkids⁣ #sienceforkids #scienceactivities #stem #steam #volcano #familyfun #familyfuntime #familylife #dadlife #dadlifestyle #funwithfamily #funwithkids #dinolover #dinosaurlover #kidscrafts #momlife #momgoals #familyadventures #homeschooling #learnthroughplay #homeschooling #homeschoolingmom #learningisfun #kidsofinstagram #carryonwithkids https://www.instagram.com/p/CDhRK4rFRxZ/?igshid=1uf679eiye4cs

Bed Of Nails Experiment-Cool Science Activity
Tumblr media
It's time to investigate the fascinating science behind the well-known experiment of lying down on a bed of nails! You've probably seen your favorite circus acts or magicians perform the classic Bed of Nails trick, but what's the secret? You can see the science behind this trick by using a smaller version of the bed and a clear balloon. This activity turns the curiosity about how a person can sleep on a Bed of Nails into a fun learning STEAM activity.
What will you require for the Bed of Nails Experiment?
20 balloons - 2 nails or bulletin board pins
What’s happening? How does the experiment with the bed of nails work?
So, to break up the excitement, consider the following: Keep Reading
When you use the nail to pop the first balloon, all of the pressure is concentrated on one point of the balloon, causing it to pop easily. When you place the balloon on the bed of nails, the pressure points spread across its surface. When a person lies on a bed of nails, their body is evenly distributed across the surface of the nails, just like a balloon. The only real risk of being punctured by a nail is if the performer does not properly lie down or get up, and the pressure points of the nails are concentrated on one area of the body.  Learn more - https://goglobalways.com/blog/bed-of-nails-experiment-science-activity/
