Finland, the happiest country in the world, where 12 year old has shot three classmates (Vantaa, April 2nd, 2024), one dead and two badly injured. Where 6% of the youth are carrying a bladed weapon with them. Where 16 year old boy was beaten to death by his schoolmates (Helsinki/Koskela, December 4th, 2020). Where 23 year old man murdered three random women by shooting them on the street in front of a pub (Imatra, December 3rd, 2016). And these are only few most known incidents... first one happened today.
There is something seriously wrong with our children and youth. As one article that I read a moment ago said, one thing to blame for our youngsters mental health problems is smartphone.
"Anxiety, depression, suicides, stabbings and loneliness among young people rose sharply in the period 2010–2015. Worst with girls."
"2010-2015 is exactly the period when humanity moved from old Nokias to iPhones. Smartphones were also bought for children. The matter was not considered anyway. It was a great invention, it was modern, it was of today."
"From 2010 to 2015, the girls moved to Instagram. The boys disappeared into game worlds and porn sites. Play-centered childhood changed to phone-centered childhood."
"The youth are feeling bad because smartphones are programming their brains differently than children playing. Active and social playing was replaced by staring at the screen."
Read the whole article here (in Finnish)
And our government is helping the situation by cutting money from everyone else except from rich a.k.a. themselves. The cuts will mostly affect on poor families children, single parents children and students. Oh! And the government also wants to bring stronger alcohol to supermarkets so that it would be even easier to get more intoxicated, which certainly doesn't help those who are already suffering from alcoholism and its side effects (meaning also the abused family members).
I truly wonder from whom they asked, whether this country seems/feels happy?

Lamp (aac app) that i was using and trying to make videos on last year, but i had to stop because my ipad is too old and doesn't run it anymore. (p2go still runs fine so i haven't replaced it yet.)
But recently! They make lamp for iphones. And i thought i could use it on my phone and use the screen recording to still make videos that way.
But no i still can't. the videos turn out so laggy that i can't use them. (i tried with a 6 minute and a 2 minute video)
But another thing! is that while my phone makes lamp So Tiny, it is much much easier to use then i remember it being. I can text and post things much easier then Just typing. I am so happy with it.
So i don't know. honestly. but at least there's some happiness in there.

Unplanned Events (Part Three)
Tumblr media
Word Count: 2365
Warnings: Suggestive comments, mention of weight concerns
Comments: Honestly, why am I always posting more when I'm tipsy?? What does that say about me? Anyways, enjoy this next chunk. It's twice as much as the last two. <3
Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 / Part 6 / Part 7 / Part 7.5 / Part 8
Han looped his arm with yours with a shiver. A big gust had made its way through the park and both of you hoped for it to lessen within the crowded sky scrapers. “You must be freezing. Where is your jacket?”
The two of you walked in tandem with IG#1 and #2 following a few meters behind. You were finally getting a little more comfortable with your current situation, until you processed how close your favorite person was to you. You couldn’t feel much of him through his black puffer jacket, but knowing his head was not even two feet away if you looked to your right had you so nervous you felt like you’d vomit.
Nonetheless, you tried to seem cool with it all as you pulled out your Iphone and turned on Pokemon Go to see what interesting creatures were nearby, “I’m wearing my coat, dude. This flannel is the right amount of fuzzy on the inside and keeps me warm all wint- Oh! A Stufful. Fuck yeah!”
You felt the eye roll he sent your way before he looked at your screen, “Oh nooo… not you too! Channie-hyung hasn’t stopped playing that since we landed in the US. He’s been looking for a shiny Charmander forever.” He sighed too loud for such a small thing. Always so dramatic.
“Maybe we should meet up with Chris so I can show him mine.” I quirked one brow up and chanced a glance at the blonde haired man that was already glaring at you. You threw in a wink for safe measure.
He pouted back at you, “No way. This is my time and I don’t need him stealing you away from me.” He huffed and frowned with so much emphasis you swore he was gonna pull a face muscle or something.
“Is Han Jisung jealous?” You gasped as you nudged him with your linked arm.
“I love him, I do. But, the man gets enough attention from pretty women with those muscles of his. I want my chance sometimes, too.” You felt for him. The same could be said about skinny tanned skinned women. American standards don't fit you in most ways.
You squeezed his linked arm with your other hand. “Muscles aren’t everything, Hannie. I think you are perfect the way you are. You are the cutest quokka to’ve ever quaked.”.
“Don’t compliment me too much, I’ll start to think that you’re trying to get me to kiss you.” He puckered up for a second before you swatted his chest with your unlinked hand. The expression was immediately replaced with his signature toothy grin.
“You wish. To both of those.” Your eyeroll returned to show how unimpressed you were with him. Yet, you were back to doing backflips while screaming in your mind just thinking about his sweet lips touching you.
-----
After another ten minutes of loud banter and a million broken English questions later, your rag-tag squad reached the kiosk in the building you were looking for. Han’s English was definitely improving, but when he read ‘SkyDeck” he could not figure out what it meant.
IG#2 purchased all four of your tickets, even though you insisted on paying for yourself. Maybe it was the language barrier, or maybe he just didn’t care what you wanted.
The lady behind the counter led you all onto an elevator, scanned her badge, pressed a big arrow up, and walked back out with a curt "Enjoy.". A video started playing and you all paid close attention to the description of the event you all paid for. And, just then, you heard a tiny gasp to your side.
You looked at the most handsome man that was still linking arms with you. His hair was brushed up into his ball cap, but you could tell he really wanted to go through the motions of brushing it out of his face. The small "o" gave everything. Pretty sure Jisung just put two and two together.
“y/n… why does it say it’s going to take us one minute to get to our destination?”
“I mean, I think you know why.”
“OH no. oh no. oh no… oh no.” He sunk closer to the floor, as if that would slow down his ascent. Plopping himself against the nearest wall. “I hate heights. I can’t do this, y/n!”.
You knelt down next to him and rubbed his arm. Looking back up at the upset men that had yet to say a word to you, “It’s completely enclosed. There are no ledges or wind. It’s like we’re looking at a really pretty picture. You’ve got us three here with you. You can hold onto me if you need to.” He nodded his head reluctantly and rose to regular height with you. When the elevator dinged upon arrival Han grabbed onto your hand and squeezed in anticipation. When you said he could hold onto you, you meant your arm, but this should be fine. There’s only a forty percent chance you’ll actually faint.
The double doors opened slowly and you guys were met with a panoramic view of the city that stood one hundred floors beneath you. He squeezed again as you walked out into the open room. There were about twenty other people scattered in your line of sight, and all of them were in their own worlds, paying no mind to the terrified Korean man attached to your hip.
You looked over at your new friend and gave your clasped fingers a quick squeeze to grab his attention. He seemed to be murmuring something in Korean under his breath while his breathing picked up. Was he about to start hyperventilating too?
You smiled internally at his concern. You weren’t afraid of heights one bit, so this was just all too amusing. “Hey, I can’t help if I don’t understand, Jisung. But I am literally right next to you. We are so secure in this building, and if anything were to happen, I would gladly make sure you were safe first. We can go back down if you want?”
“No. You wanted to come up here. I’m terrified, but I know you wouldn’t purposely put us all in harm's way.”.
“Of course not. You need to keep living and making beautiful music for all the Stays out there.”.
He nodded in response, still staring back at you instead of the beautiful cityscape ahead. “I’ll do it if you promise to listen to them too.”.
“Unfortunately for you, you’re stuck with me for life. Another Day has helped me through so many times these last few months.” The mortified quokka actually managed a small smile at your honesty.
“I love that. Now, let's try to conquer my fear.” He valiantly walked closer to the all glass paneling of the buildings’ edge. Not without your small hand still intertwined with his ring-clad one tugging you a step behind him. Once at the edge he sunk to the floor and tripped over his own leg. Seeming to have lost all ability to stand and taking you down with him.
You tumbled forward onto the man from behind and felt awful even though it was utterly his own fault. “Sorry! I hope I wasn’t too heavy or hurt you.”
Instead of responding immediately, he resituated the two of you so that he sat behind you with you in between his legs. Knees bent up as he held you captive with the strength of his thighs while you sat criss-cross. His head rested on your shoulder as he pulled your back into his chest and rested his hands backwards to hold yourselves in a reclined position. You could hear his deep breaths as he tried to calm his breathing again. “Your weight is perfect. It’s really helping me feel secure. I’m sorry I pulled you up here with me. I just lost all my courage and needed to sit down. I feel so much better knowing and seeing you here with me.”
Now, everyone knows that the ‘boys’ have no sense of personal space with each other; they’re always hugging each other, grabbing ass, or just in each others’ faces. But, you always assumed it was because of all the time and years they’ve spent together. That all of the boundaries normal friends have are just GONE. It made sense that at least one of them just never had boundaries to begin with. Lucky for you, it was Han. And from the point where you two were connected, you could tell that Han’s heart was starting to come down to a normal rate. The man was literally looking for a physical connection to ease his fear.
You, on the other hand, had gone back to having your heart accelerating. Smelling the man’s cologne, feeling his hair rub against your face, and hearing his breathing. You had not been this close to another man in a couple of years, telling yourself the time would come when it was meant to, and the sensation was a welcoming feeling.
He noticed your heart rate, and the slight adjusting you were doing. “Oh. I should’ve checked that you were okay with so much physical touch. I know I keep apologizing, but here, let me help you up so-”
“I’m good, Hannie. I was just adjusting to make myself more comfortable. You can stay however you’d like.” He put his chin back where it was and you could feel his jaw adjust and assumed it was due to him smiling, still not daring to look at him.
“You smell really good. I think, if it wasn’t for the terrifying view, I could fall asleep right here.” He nuzzled his head into your neck and sighed heavily. You felt chills run across your neck and thought you might lose your mind. The icing on the cake? Was when he wrapped his arms around your waist to finish the embrace.
“I could tell you the same thing.” was all you could get out as his breathing continued on your sensitive neck.
“It’s sinful for someone like you to smell and feel so good, and not have someone holding you all day.” Surely, your mind just imagined he said that. You gasped quietly regardless. “Your boyfriend is a lucky guy.”
That got a full on laugh out of you.
“What?” He questioned innocently.
“It’s cute that you think that someone wanting to date someone like me is even a possibility.” You scoffed at his words.
He didn’t say anything in response to your sarcastic comment. You felt his chin rest on your shoulder again as you admired the neverending view of the city below. You were so content that you started humming to yourself. The beginning and ending to “Hero’s Soup” was always so calming to you. Just replaying the tune in your head was enough to send relief, but you didn’t notice that you were humming the tune out loud and swaying slightly.
Han added to the swaying with his knees still surrounding you. He squeezed you into a tighter hug. “Can you sing that line for me?” He asked you.
You giggled, “I can barely say hello in Korean, and you want me to sing a line from your own song in Korean?”
“You can hold a tune. I just want to hear your voice, I don’t care how accurately you pronounce it.”
“Give me a song in English and I’ll try my best to sing it.” You rolled your eyes at his smooth ass words that didn’t convince you.
“Hmm… I was planning on singing Youngblood at the concert so how about the chorus to that?”
“I LOVE that song!” You gasped at his idea and looked over to make direct eye contact with him. His face was a few inches away and your breath caught in your throat with that proximity. You looked at his pretty lips and gulped at the dirty thoughts that came to your mind. You didn’t relinquish the distance as you sang from memory.
“Youngblood, say you want me,
say you want me out of your life.
And I’m just a deadman walking tonight.
But you need it, yeah,
you need it all of the time, yeah.”
Jisung harmonized with you during the “ooh ooh ooh”. And you felt all of your body warmth go straight to your face immediately. You rushed to turn your head away from him and bury your crimson face into your other shoulder.
“Y/n! We have to sing more songs together! That was so sexy! Oh my... I wish there was a studio I could pull you into right now. We sound so good together.” He cackled into your neck again as he tightened his grip and shook you side to side in his arms in excitement. You wrapped your arms around your face and leaned forward to get away from his grasp, but he pulled you right back into him. “Baby, I need to hear that sweet voice again. Maybe more of your laughs, too?”
“Stooooop! My voice is not that great!”
He squeezed your waist so tightly you thought you wouldn't be able to breath. “You sounded amazing! I love how you talk and use your voice, but now that I’ve heard some of your singing, I need more.”
“You sound like a starved man, Hannie.” You gasped as you tried to pretend you couldn't breath because of the way he was squeezing you beneath your breasts.
“I don’t let most people call me Hannie, but I’ll allow you. Tonight, it’s you and me. Han and y/n take on the big city.”
You let out a soft hum and nodded your head, dazed at his words that he just kept spewing. Does he even realize how his words sound in English? “You don’t need to be so dramatic! I’m already here with you and committed to having a good time with you.” You poked him in his ribs and he jolted away from the surprise touch.
"You keep surprising me, y/n." Han whispered breathily into the shell of your ear. His lower lip grazing your gauged lobe as you felt something inside you brew at the possible hidden meanings.

The number one reason I think Todomatsu would work in a long term relationship is that he's had an iPhone 6 since 2015. We've seen it get broken, pawned, and destroyed multiple times...
Like he's consistent. I'm sure he could have traded it in, or just replaced it with a newer model but he still has the same phone since 2015. I know he doesn't have apple care on that thing. It doesn't even have a case.
Which means he's paying out of pocket to fix the screens, or outright replace it with the same model for really no benefit. It's an older phone, he could and honestly is expected just bc of planned obsolescence to upgrade it
I just think it's a good metaphor for him in a relationship. He could break it or do some terrible things on accident or impulsively but I also think he'd do everything in his power to fix it. He wouldn't move on easily. He's sentimental...

people talk sometimes about phone thefts on transit but I have only ever encountered someone look at my old iPhone 6 with a screen that is more cracked with each passing day and ask me if I’ve considered getting my screen replaced

A few months!!?? I thought it'll be like a year or atleast 6 months
So it's literally a new phone? What phone is it?
It's only a couple of years old! It's an iphone se? I mean it was new when I got it though I know the model itself isn't very new. But yeah, the issue started around this time last year, and now just intermittently every couple months or so it'll just start wigging out. Apple support has told me "it's either a hardware issue or a software issue" which really narrows it down lmao, and I've had a few phone repair guys try and get me to replace my screen but I'm not fully convinced it's the screen's fault so I didn't want to spend money on it. But I don't want to get a new phone because I can't really afford it rn T-T My stinginess is my downfall yet again !

So, I broke my cell phone a couple of weeks ago. (Let me insert here a small rant because it jumped from my hands, not for the first time, but fall on a straw doormat. HOW it is THAT’s what took the screen out when it had fallen on hard wood floors countless times before??) So anyway, yeah, phone is done for. I kiiiinda still use it but the screen basically remains black so when people call me (which doesn’t happen that often, granted), I can pick up only because I know where to put my fingers. When I get a text (waaaay more often) or want to use the phone, it take about 6 to 10 tries to have the screen light up. (It also tends to cut off conversations after a few minutes). (Funny thing is, if I take a screen capture, the screen looks perfectly fine.)
I don’t know what to do.  On one hand, repairing it will cost me 300€ (1€ is about $1), because Samsung Galaxy S8 are made like that. Changing the screen is replacing half the phone. So I’m like: NO WAY! On the other way, if I replace it, I want something about the same size that isn’t an iPhone (I like MacBooks alright but not iPhone, it’s a thing ^^; ), it will cost me about 600€. A few things to know about me: - I don’t like to change my electronic devices. I will soon need to replace my MacBook, I was symbolically wanting at least till next January to celebrate its 10 birthday. I had to tape the cord in September because the protective layer is broken.  - I don’t like to rush replacing things. I’ve been thinking about replacing the laptop more or less for a year. Which means I would probably get to actually do it in one or two more years ^^; - I WASN’T PLANNING ON REPLACING MY FRICKING PHONE FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS OR SO. (The last one, I replaced it because the battery swell and imploded. I still took me about 1 year to actually replace it, I replace the battery first, it imploded again after a few months...)
But: - I CANNOT wait to replace this fricking phone, the past 2 weeks have been super annoying. Basically everything I do online requires to confirm my identify with my phone. Texting is super annoying. Calling/receiving calls is very difficult. So I HAVE to rush a decision. - A new one would cost me 600€ only because of the “Black Friday” sales I only have a week to decide yes or nay. A week! aaaah! - Technically 300€ is better than 600€ and I can afford both, it’s really about the principle of things. I don’t want to change my phone. It annoys me to pay that much not to even get a new one.  - You can’t add an additional storage card in the new one, which is also annoying, so the new phone would have as much space that the current one, this is ridiculous, why did they do that? (that also the case about the previous version, BTW.) - ... ... ... the new one would be purple and super super pretty... This is stupid. Paying 300€ more than a repair because of the color of a phone is ridiculous. Paying that much for a repair is ridiculous. A week to decide. (Assuming that there is enough stock in purple.)  Aaaaaaarrrrg.
