#Search Console Update 2022
Text
Dead by Daylight, Yet to Find it’s Competitor, but Why?
Dead by Daylight by Behaviour Interactive is a 4 v. 1 multiplayer survival horror game that lends itself to the multiplayer multi-console gaming community. This game has hit over 50,000 players in July 2021 (“Dead by Daylight — Steam Charts”). The average players for Dead by Daylight (DBD) has fluctuated between 30,000 to 60,000 within the last three years. Somehow this game has been able to keep the average player base rather high.
The main focus of these types of games are to escape or defeat the killer if you are playing the survivor side of the game. If playing the killer side of the game you are suppose to kill the survivors. 4 survivors versus 1 killer, which is the standard for the games that have followed Dead by Daylight since it’s release on June 14, 2016.
RaginRilla a DBD Twitch streamer states, “Every other 4v1 survival horror game just doesn’t have the same feel as DBD.” There have been many games that tried to compete against the mainstream: Dead by Daylight. “Like for instance Video Horror Society, yes the skill checks are ok I guess, it allows the survivors to fight against the killer, but it still doesn’t feel the same as DBD due to that fact that your only objective is to fight the killer.” (RaginRilla.)
Video Horror Society (VHS) by Hellbent Games came out on July 18th, 2022 starting with a solid 2,401 players. This game on release was only available to PC players. Currently it only has an average player base of 167 (“Video Horror Society — Steam Charts”). While VHS is aesthetically interesting it has still had a decrease in player base. Spiking wait times, 4 v. 1 play style, and constantly compared to Dead by Daylight are only some of the situations that have been caused by the lowering player base.
For Video Horror Society the problem grew with the monster/killer side of their game. “Monster is underpowered, or actually monster is just unfun,” stated DOWSEY at 15 minutes and 13 seconds into his The Rapid Downfall of DBD’s Rival: Video Horror Society YouTube video. DOWSEY speaks on the long queue times along with the balancing issues.
Dead by Daylight has a skill based match making system, and many abilities for both the survivor and killer to carry into a game. The balancing within the game is constantly being worked on in every update. Behaviour Interactive is testing the patches in Player Beta Tests every couple months. An example of one of their patch notes is listed below.
Home Sweet Home : Survive by YGGDRAZIL GROUP PUBLIC CO.,LTD a 4 v. 1 horror survival game that came out March 25, 2021 for PC only. The current player base 1.9 within 30 days (“Search — Steam Charts”). Falling completely off the charts for a playable online game.
Friday the 13th: The Game by IllFonic released on May 26, 2017 for multiple consoles like Dead by Daylight. With an all time high of 16,077 players this game still has a average player base of 348 (“Friday the 13th: The Game — Steam Charts”). “In the case of Friday the 13th: The Game, yes you can fight back but you can’t kill Jason your objective is to escape,” RaginRilla discussed.
With the Friday the 13th: The Game it holds a better opportunity with the highest number being up there in the averages of DBD. The game also holds a iconic horror character Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th movie franchise. Dead by Daylight also has iconic horror characters such as Pinhead (Hellraiser), Pyramid Head (Silent Hill), Michael Myers (Halloween), Ghostface (Scream), and Nemesis (Resident Evil). Giving both games a fan base from other horror franchises to stand on.
There are more upcoming games in this genre that will be releasing within the next year. These would include games such as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre by Sumo Digital and Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game by Teravision Games.
.This does not mean that any game like Dead by Daylight won’t succeed. There needs to be more balancing in the games and attention to player base. These would be the only reasons DBD has not been keeping a competitor within the survival horror multiplayer multi-console genre in the gaming industry.

A Guide to the Latest Google Update - GA4
Loss of Historical Data - Starting in July 2023, Google will stop collecting data (October 1 for 360 users). Google Analytics 4 can monitor more than just pageviews (without editing the website code). You must manually export historical data (data from before GA4 adoption) if you want to keep it; otherwise, you may lose it.
The availability of entirely new logic for data collection is one of Google Analytics 4's (hereinafter referred to as GA4's) most important changes. In UA, data is collected based on page views, whereas in GA4, data is collected based on events, giving you a better understanding of how consumers interact with your company's website or app ( if appropriate).
GA4 is not simply a redesign of Universal Analytics (UA); it is a completely new product that can be installed in addition to your existing UA profile. That said, if you're setting up GA for the first time, GA4 is the "latest version" that replaced UA as the default analytics platform in October 2020. UA can still be installed, but GA4 should be considered an upgrade to Google Analytics. If you want to know more about this update and make a lead for your website then it is best to get overall knowledge from Best Digital Marketing Company.
Previously, Analytics was split between web properties (traditional Google Analytics) and Analytics for Firebase (to specifically meet the needs of apps). Perhaps most importantly, Google Analytics 4 seeks to provide owners with flexible yet powerful analytics tools within the confines of cookieless tracking and consent management.
Let's take a closer look at the most important updates so that you get a better idea of the potential of this tool to help you grow your business.
 Why is Google implementing GA4?
The primary intent behind the change is to bring together website and mobile app data usage measurement in one platform for unified reporting when creating a new property. This coincides with a greater effort to track the entire user journey, rather than segmenting user interaction across platforms, users, or sessions.
How can I get started with GA4?
If you currently use a Universal Analytics account, the update will be available from July 4, 2022. This means that the new property will be created and accessible through your Universal Analytics account, but your existing account will not it will be affected until July 1, 2023, which means that data will also flow through this account. Similarly, Firebase Analytics accounts (used for appli
Do you use Google Analytics 4?
Improved measurement. Google Analytics 4 can monitor more than just pageviews (without editing the website code). Things like outbound link clicks, scrolling, Youtube video, and other interactions can be automatically tracked
Explorations - Google Analytics 4 introduced several additional reports/tools for analysis, such as routes and ad-hoc funnels. Previously, these features were only available to GA360 users.
Integrations - I've already mentioned the BigQuery integration. However, there are still some integrations missing in Google Analytics 4, such as Search Console.
Mobile App Event Tracking - With Google Analytics 4, you can now track mobile events on the same property as your website.
This allows you to have a deep understanding of how customers use each property and spend your resources accordingly.
Want to get more familiar with the new GA4, its dash, and all the available options? Then the time has come for the “change”! Contact Digital Marketing Company in Pune today and our experienced team will help you with everything you need to know about your upgrade and all the information you need to know.
Improved Customer Journey - With GA4, you can track your customer journey from numerous devices within a single platform, giving you a clear view of how your prospect is interacting with your business, and therefore you can allocate your marketing budget more efficiently. specific.
Cross-Platform Monitoring - An integrated monitoring and reporting capability is provided using a single user ID across all platforms and devices. You'll save time, money, resources, and frustration by not having to patch the user journey across platforms or devices.

Do Ads affect SEO?
Yes, ads can affect SEO, and it's important to understand how they're connected. Ads are a form of paid search or it could be other form of paid ads [like social media], and the more people click on your ads, the higher your website's ranking can become in search engine results.
This is because clicks are seen as a signal of relevance to search engines, which can help boost your rankings. This doesn't mean you have to constantly run ads, as long as your website's SEO is handled properly and all search engine’s recommended SEO techniques are in place.
“Improving technical SEO and increasing brand awareness will be the two key strategies brands are implementing in 2023 to improve organic visibility of content and organic traffic” – SEO Trends & Predictions for 2023 Report by Conductor
The other significant aspect that ads affect SEO positively is the fact that when people are exposed to ads regularly, they become more aware of the brand, company, or business and begin researching it on search engines.
The probability that target audience or potential customers will click on the ads to learn more is likely to increase [during this period] once they have confidence in the business running the ads.
"People want highly targeted ads that fit their personal preferences. The more personal and curated the ads are to the individual, the more responsive consumers will be to those brands" - channable and Marketing Dive [2022]
If they have visited your business website and viewed your products, services, or solutions, the search may occur even after seeing your ads or post ads campaign. This is because your ads may be connected to the offerings they previously viewed on your website.
It's also important to keep in mind that ads can influence the way people interact with your website. If you have ads that are intrusive or overly promotional, people may choose to leave your website without clicking on any of your content.
This can have a negative impact on your SEO [due to higher bounce rate] as it signals to search engines that people are not finding what they're looking for on your site.
To ensure that your ads are not having a negative effect on your SEO, make sure that they are relevant to your website's content and that they don't interfere with the user experience.
“Page experience factors will continue to become a more significant ranking factor as Google prioritizes pages that provide the best UX. Companies with a pulse on the latest search industry trends are prioritizing UX and CX improvements now to protect and improve rankings moving forward” – SEO Trends & Predictions for 2023 Report by Conductor
Additionally, you should track the performance of your ads and monitor their impact on your website's rankings to ensure that they are helping rather than hindering your SEO efforts. Use the Google Analytics and Google Search Console tools, which can best guide you on these matters.
Ads can also help increase the authority of your site, as links from other sites are seen as a sign of trustworthiness. However, it's seriously important to note that ads alone won't make your site rank higher on search engines.
“Google recently updated its E-A-T guidelines to include an extra “E” for experience. This shows that Google is continuing to focus on authoritative content, and it’s vital that you show the user you know what you’re talking about” – Search Engine Journal
Ads should be used in conjunction with other SEO techniques such as keyword optimization, content creation, technical SEO, and link building. Ads can only compliment these strategies by increasing visibility and driving more people to your site.
“Admittedly, content creation is a time-consuming piece of the puzzle in the SEO routine. And AI is where the SEO industry is headed. Now, AI content generation tools can be valuable assistants but they hardly substitute human experts” – Sitechecker
While working on SEO is the long-term approach for greatest results, ads are a temporary solution.
It's also important to ensure that the ads you use are relevant to your target audience and are placed strategically to maximize their effectiveness. Ads that aren't relevant or improperly placed can actually hurt your SEO efforts, so it's best to invest in quality ads that will bring in the right kind of visitors.
Overall, ads can be a great way to boost your SEO efforts when used correctly. They can bring in more visitors and increase the authority of your site, but it's important to remember that they're just one part of the puzzle.
Investing in SEO strategies is also highly essential for achieving top search engine rankings in the long run which is always the worth.

What is Google Algorithm Core Update March 2024 and Its Impact On SERP Results
Tumblr media
Let’s delve into the fascinating world of Google’s March 2024 Core Update and its profound impact on SERP (Search Engine Results Page) rankings.
Google’s March 2024 Core Update: A Game-Changer
Deindexing Websites Completely:
Imagine waking up to find your website vanished from Google’s search results. Unfortunately, this was the reality for many websites after the March 2024 update rolled out.
Google’s goal with this update is to reduce unhelpful, irrelevant, and unoriginal content from search results. They aim to remove up to 40% of low-quality websites that provide little value and a poor user experience.
Websites violating Google’s guidelines or employing questionable SEO tactics are not just penalized; they are completely removed from both search results and the index
Swift Penalties:
The penalties from this update were swift and decisive. Site owners found themselves scrambling for answers.
To check if your site was impacted, search for it in Google using the query “site:tribhadigital.com.” If you’re not showing up in the search results, you may have been affected.
Notably, sites impacted by this core update or spam update do not receive notifications through Google Search Console’s manual action viewer. Algorithmic updates are automated, and Google doesn’t notify site owners of negative (or positive) impacts caused by these updates1.
Older Websites Aren’t Immune:
Even older websites that survived previous algorithm updates are not spared. Those previously untouched now face repercussions.
Some celebrate this as a long-overdue cleansing of low-quality sites that gamed the system for years. Others, however, are left wondering why their entire network has vanished1.
Reducing Unhelpful Content:
Google predicts that this update, combined with previous efforts, will reduce low-quality, unoriginal content in search results by 40%.
The focus is on surfacing useful information while diminishing unoriginal content. Efforts initiated in 2022 are being built upon to achieve this goal2.
In summary, Google’s March 2024 Core Update is a seismic shift in the SEO landscape. Staying informed and adapting your strategies is crucial to maintaining your standing in search results. Brace yourself for the winds of change!

How to Stream Spotify on Any Gaming Console?
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, streaming Spotify.com/pair on gaming consoles generally involves using the Spotify app if one is available for that specific console. Here are general instructions for some popular gaming consoles as of that time:
Tumblr media
PlayStation (PS4 and PS5):
Go to the PlayStation Store.
Search for the Spotify app.
Download and install the Spotify app.
Open the Spotify app, log in, and start streaming.
Xbox (Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S):
Go to the Microsoft Store.
Search for the Spotify app.
Download and install the Spotify app.
Open the Spotify app, log in, and start streaming.
Nintendo Switch:
Unfortunately, as of my last update, Nintendo Switch doesn't have an official Spotify app. However, you can still listen to music while gaming by using the Nintendo Switch Online app on a separate device and connecting it to the console. Keep an eye on updates for any changes in this regard.
Other Gaming Consoles:
For other gaming consoles, check if there's an official Spotify app available in the respective app store or marketplace.
If there isn't an official app, you may still be able to use Spotify through other means, such as connecting your console to a device (like a phone or computer) via Bluetooth or an audio cable and playing Spotify on that device.
Please note that developments can occur after my last update, so it's a good idea to check the respective app stores or official announcements for the latest information on Spotify.com/pair availability on your specific gaming console. Additionally, you should check for any console updates that might have introduced new features or apps.

Version 556
youtube
windows
zip
exe
macOS
app
linux
tar.zst
I had an ok week. I fixed some bugs and added a system to force-set filetypes.
You will be asked on update if you want to regenerate some animation thumbnails. The popup explains the decision, I recommend 'yes'.
full changelog
forced filetype
The difference between a zip and an Ugoira and a cbz is not perfectly clear cut. I am happy with the current filetype scanner--and there are a couple more improvements this week--but I'm sure there will always be some fuzziness in the difficult cases. This also applies to some clever other situations, like files that secretly store a zip concatenated after a jpeg. You might want that file to be considered something other than hydrus thinks it technically is.
So, on any file selection, you can now hit right-click->manage->force filetype. You can set any file to be seen as any other file. The changes take affect immediately, are reflected in presentation and system:filetype searches, and the files themselves will be renamed on disk (to aid 'open externally'). The original filetype is remembered, and everything is easily undoable through the same dialog.
Also added is 'system:has forced filetype', under the 'system:file properties' entry, if you'd like to find what you have set one way or the other.
This is experimental, and I don't recommend it for the most casual users, but if you are comfortable, have a play with it. I still need to write better error handling for complete nonsense cases (e.g. calling a webm a krita is probably going to raise an error somewhere), but let me know how you get on.
other highlights
I fixed some dodgy numbers in Mr. Bones (deleted file count) and the file history chart (inbox/archive count). If you have had some whack results here, let me know if things are any better! If they aren't, does changing the search to something more specific than 'all my files'/'system:everything' improve things?
Some new boot errors, mostly related to missing database components, are now handled with nicer dialog prompts, and even interactive console prompts serverside.
I _may_ have fixed/relieved the 'program is hung when restored from minimise to system tray' issue, but I am not confident. If you still have this, let me know how things are now. If you still get a hang, more info on what your client was doing during the minimise would help--I just cannot reproduce this problem reliably.
Thanks to a user who figured out all the build script stuff, the Docker package is now Alpine 3.19. The Docker package should have newer libraries and broader file support.
birthday and year summary
The first non-experimental beta of hydrus was released on December 14th, 2011. We are now going on twelve years.
Like many, I had an imperfect 2023. I've no complaints, but IRL problems from 2022 cut into my free time and energy, and I regret that it impacted my hydrus work time. I had hoped to move some larger projects forward this year, but I was mostly treading water with little features and optimisations. That said, looking at the changelog for the year reveals good progress nonetheless, including: multiple duplicate search and filter speed and accuracy improvements, and the 'one file in this search, the other in this search' system; significant Client API expansions, in good part thanks to a user, including the duplicates system, more page inspections, multiple local file domains, and http headers; new sidecar datatypes and string processing tools; improvements to 'related tags' search; much better transparency support, including 'system:has transparency'; more program stability, particularly with mpv; much much faster tag autocomplete results, and faster tag and file search cancelling; the inc/dec rating service; better file timestamp awareness and full editing capability; the SauceNAO-style image search under 'system:similar files'; blurhashes; more and better system predicate parsing, and natural system predicate parsing in the normal file search input; a background database table delete system that relieves huge jobs like 'delete the PTR'; more accurate Mr. Bones and File History, and both windows now taking any search; and multiple new file formats, like HEIF and gzip and Krita, and thumbnails and full rendering for several like PSD and PDF, again in good part thanks to a user, and then most recently the Ugoira and CBZ work.
I'm truly looking forward to the new year, and I plan to keep working and putting out releases every week. I deeply appreciate the feedback and help over the years. Thank you!
next week
I have only one more week in the year before my Christmas holiday, so I'll just do some simple cleanup and little fixes.

How to Change Brightness on Fire TV
Tumblr media
Amazon's Fire TV platform did not have a native brightness adjustment feature like you'd find on some mobile devices or computer screens. However, the brightness is generally controlled by your TV, not the Fire TV device itself. Here's how you can adjust brightness, generally speaking: - TV Remote: Use your TV remote's settings, menu, or picture controls to adjust the brightness. This will adjust the brightness for all content displayed on your TV, not just the Fire TV. - TV Settings: - Press the 'Menu' button or similar on your TV remote. - Navigate to 'Picture' or 'Display' settings. - Adjust the 'Brightness' setting. - HDMI-CEC: Some TVs support HDMI-CEC, which allows external devices like Fire TV to control certain features of the TV. If both your TV and Fire TV have this feature and it's enabled, there might be ways for the Fire TV to control the brightness indirectly, but this is not common. - Third-Party Apps: There might be third-party apps on the Amazon Appstore that claim to adjust brightness or color settings for Fire TV. If you decide to explore this route, always be cautious about permissions and read reviews to understand the effectiveness and trustworthiness of the app. Remember, if there have been software updates or new models of Fire TV released after 2022, there might be new features or methods to adjust brightness. Always check the official Amazon Fire TV support documentation or forums for the most current information.
What is Amazon Fire TV
Amazon Fire TV is a series of digital media players and a micro-console remote developed by Amazon. The devices allow users to stream digital content via the internet to a connected high-definition television. Here's a brief overview of the Fire TV ecosystem: - Fire TV Stick: This is a smaller device that plugs directly into the HDMI port on your TV. It comes with a remote, and there are multiple versions, including: - Fire TV Stick Lite - Fire TV Stick (1080p version) - Fire TV Stick 4K - Fire TV Stick 4K Max (released as of my last update in 2022) - Fire TV Cube: This device combines the capabilities of a Fire TV with those of an Amazon Echo. It supports 4K content, has built-in Alexa, and can be used to control other devices in your home using voice commands. - Fire TV Edition - Smart TVs: These are TVs that come with Fire TV capabilities built-in. Several brands manufacture them in partnership with Amazon. - Fire TV Interface: - Home Screen: This is where you'll find your apps, settings, and various content recommendations. - Apps & Channels: Amazon Fire TV supports a wide range of streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Disney+, and many more. - Search: You can search for content using the remote or with voice commands if your remote supports it (or if you have a Fire TV Cube). - Alexa Integration: Most Fire TV devices integrate seamlessly with Alexa, Amazon's voice assistant. This means you can use voice commands to search for shows, open apps, control playback, and even control smart home devices if you've set them up with Alexa. - Connectivity: Fire TV devices typically connect to the internet via Wi-Fi, though some models offer an optional Ethernet adapter for a wired connection. - Third-party Apps and Games: Apart from streaming apps, the Fire TV platform supports a variety of third-party apps and games that can be downloaded from the Amazon Appstore. - Developer Options: For those who like to tinker, Fire TV does offer developer options, including the ability to sideload apps that aren't available on the Amazon Appstore. If you have a specific question or need troubleshooting advice about Fire TV, feel free to ask! Read the full article

How long before Google indexes my website?
Tumblr media
Get your website indexed and crawled by the Google crawler before claiming your position at the top of the search results.
A number of crucial factors will affect how long it takes for Google to crawl and index your website.
The truth is that in 2022 it will be much harder to obtain a website indexed and crawled by Google than it was five or six years ago. Google crawlers are busy, according to the most recent statistics, and the number of active websites exceeds 200 million, while Google’s index has more than 55 billion web pages.
Websites must be simple to crawl in 2022 and provide visitors with value. Publishing duplicate, duplicated, or low-quality content may cause your website to lose its audience.
How long before Google indexes my website?
The size and intricacy of your site’s structure will determine how long it takes Google to index your website. Smaller websites can be fully indexed by Google in 4 days to 6 weeks, however, larger websites might take up to 6 months.
The longer it takes Google to crawl and index a website, generally speaking, the bigger the website is and the more similar the content is across different web pages (think: e-commerce sites with thousands of similar pages).
Indexing times for different-sized websites range from four to six weeks for small (under 100 pages), fourteen to twelve weeks for medium (up to 1,000 pages), one to six months for large (more than 1,000 pages), and six months or more for very large (more than 100,000 pages) websites.
These numbers are merely meant to be illustrative. The length of time it takes Google to index your website will vary depending on a variety of technological aspects, the caliber of the material, and the sector in which your website competes.
We advise dealing with an SEO specialist if your website takes longer than 50% longer than the aforementioned timescales because there might be more serious problems at hand.
How can I get Google to index my site more quickly?
Every day, Google crawls and indexes billions of brand-new web pages. To maintain your position at the top, you must build a website that is simple for Google to crawl and provide information that is deserving of being added to Google’s index. Your website’s indexing process will take longer if crawl bots are unable to locate, access, and crawl all of the different pages on your website.
Improve website architecture and fundamental technical SEO principles
Create XML sitemap and submit it to Google Search Console
Have an HTML sitemap and update it as pages change on your website
Check for website errors or usability issues
Regularly update your site and add new content
Earn high-quality backlinks from other reputable websites
Requesting a custom URL crawl is no longer as successful as it once was.
Publish fresh information on social networking platforms;
Produce informative website content;
Review the URLs on your website.
Google seeks to index online pages that benefit users. Follow the above checklist to make sure your website is providing value and is deserving of getting indexed by Google.
How can I find out if Google has indexed my website?
You need to set up and become familiar with Google Search Console in order to find out if Google has scanned your website or when a page was last indexed. A new web page’s average crawl time might range from three days to four weeks.
After setting up Google Search Console, you can proceed as follows:
1. Access Google Search Console.
2. Select “Settings” from the menu.
3. Locate “Crawl Stats” under the options section.
4. Select “Open Report.”
5. To find the crawl by response code, visit the “Crawl Requests Breakdown” section.
You’re done; it’s all done! You may find out when a Google crawler last viewed a particular website page by looking at the crawl requests broken down by response code.
A conclusion
The Google search bots will have a lot to do in 2022. Crawl bots are in great demand because there are 200 million active websites and more than 55 billion web pages that have been indexed, therefore your website needs to be useful and accessible in order to be indexed by Google.
Is my site deserving of getting indexed by Google? is a crucial question to ask yourself if your website is technically sound but you are still unable to get it to crawl. When Google crawls, indexes, and ranks websites, providing users with content and an online experience that offers genuine value are crucial factors.
Still, experiencing issues getting Google to index and find your website? It might be time to see an SEO specialist who can analyze any problems with your Google Search Console and comprehend the problems. Get in contact with Jexcore Infotech SEO experts immediately to see how we can get your website back on track.
