After years of slowly building my Sengoku Basara fanon, I can finally say it: my full Mōri Clan OC lineup is complete!

This little group of OCs has grown so much over time, and each character holds a special place in Motonari's life and heart. But it's finally time to introduce them all officially!

Hisa (Ice): Once the loyal handmaiden of Motonari’s mother, Hisa took it upon herself to raise him after her lady’s untimely death, when he was only three. Fiercely devoted, she became his silent protector, always watching from the shadows with unwavering loyalty.

Sugi-no-Okata (Wind): Or simply Lady Sugi, was the youngest concubine of Motonari’s father, she stepped into the role of adoptive mother after his biological mother’s passing. Over time, their bond grew so strong that he now calls her "Mother" without hesitation. Graceful and nurturing, she’s the wind beneath his wings.

Fukubara Hirotoshi (Light): Motonari’s cherished grandfather, Hirotoshi is a wise and gentle presence in the clan. He provides the kind of calm strength that anchors a stormy sea.

Ankokuji Ekei (Darkness): A priest of Amaterasu and a skilled diplomat, Ekei is both Motonari’s spiritual guide and one of his most trusted allies. Motonari personally insisted on having him in his faction, knowing how crucial his counsel and presence would be.

Oh what? I’m doing Sengoku BASARA stuff again?

I wanted to make more retainers (and frankly more male characters because while I do love drawing the ladies I wanted to get some practice in. I made a basic design in Picrew and was like “oh hey I’ll make a full character out of this.”)

Shiroishi Munezane was a retainer of Date Masamune. Here I depict him as slightly younger than Kojuro. A weary, snarky archer who wields a Daikyu (a Japanese longbow) and enjoys frequently smoking a Kiseru pipe. Also he can breathe fire. Usually through the pipe.

His combat style involves combustive arrows, rapid-fire and AoE attacks, allowing him to specialize in flushing out enemies and forcing tight groups to scatter. In close-quarters, he has a tantou he can pull out, and can also use his daikyu as a blunt weapon. If you’ve ever played Guild Wars 2, try the longbow skills on the Warrior and Ranger classes. It’s like that, but faster-paced because it’s Basara.

So recently I've been coming back to the old aniems I used to obsessed with and ended up having new yumeships in Sengoku Basara. Here is Magoichi Saika from Sengoku Basara and my OC Momochi Sandayu, loosely based on Momochi Sandayu, rhe leader of Iga clan. I did have plans to make him pretty but now he becomes too pretty and honestly... I love it 😳

Bits about him:

A former Iga clan leader who is currently living his (not so) peaceful life in Kii province as an innkeeper who constantly selling information they need with proper price. He is a gentle and kind individual despite having living most of his life as a Shinobi. Though he was strictly told to not have compassion and living his life as proper shinobi, Sandayu continues to live his life as he is, kind, gentle, compassionate, and wise though he can be ruthless when the situation demands him to.

He was often thought not fitting as the leader of Iga clan which puts him into so much pressure, constant abuse by the elders, and it caused him to slowly become numb and downplaying his own feelings because how used he is to be told that his feelings aren’t matter.

He was a childhood friend with Magoichi Saika and Motochika Chosokabe. They met when Sandayu’s father (who is friends with Magoichi’s master). Visited the Saika clan. Sandayu often says that the time he spent with both of them are the times when he truly felt happy.

His clan was eradicated by Oda Nobunaga during Tensho Iga War and it was said he was killed by Kashin Koji (another OC of mine). But he survived albeit losing his arms. He was given prosthetic arms which he would use as weapons later.

His Giga Basara Art is Kamaitachi. His prosthetic arms are inspired from Sekiro

Ryuji: Hey guys, i got video game from the future. I got it when i was a kid.

Nobunaga: Video game? What's that? Something from western?

Ryuji: Some kind of moving picture but we can control the picture, depended on what the purpose of the moving picture. And this time, we use the moving picture for fighting.

Hideyoshi: How can the picture fighting each other?

Ryuji: We control it using this remote.

Ieyasu: It's kind of boring and difficult.

Ryuji: I'll carry you both, no worry.

Nobunaga: //seeing Nobunaga vs Mitsuhide as boss game// Wtf. Did he just betray me?

Mitsuhide: It's just a story i guess. It won't happen in real life, Nobunaga.

Hideyoshi: //play as himself// Nooo!!! Nobunaga-sama, i'll save you from that evil "Mitsuhide"!

Ryuji: //play as Nohime// THAT LORD DEMON IS OUR BOSS, IDIOT!!!

Do you remember Asa? She's another one of my Sengoku Basara OCs. She's a high class Oiran and a close friend of Sakon, and I'm so proud of her re-design! I even added an alternative design for her Post-Sekigahara lore I've long wanted to work on!

Ikesen Masamune x Hana (OC)

After Hana learns the names of the lords, and Sasuke, in Mai's group. She realizes Masamune has quite the same vibe as her bias, Masamune from Sengoku Basara.

So, this is what happens:

Masamune and Hana (jokingly) argue a little bit but they bond after this. Hana gradually shows Masamune more fun stuff of modern Japan.

P/s: poor Ieyasu.

The only custom brush used was the bamboo trees. I am SO SO SO PROUD of the explosion.
