Set/Seth/Suetekh
Egyptian God of the Desert, Storms, Disorder, Violence, War, Chaos, Fire, Trickery, Envy, Storms and Foreigners
Set, also known as Seth and Suetekh was the brother of Osiris, Isis and Horus the Elder, uncle to Horuc the Younger, and Brother-Husband to Nephthys. His other consort was the goddess Tawaret, a hippo-headed deity who presided over fertility and childbirth. He is one of the first five gods created by the union of Geb (Earth) and Nut (Sky) after the creation of the world. His name is usually translated as "Instigator of confusion" and "Destroyer" and he was associated with Disorder, Foreign Lands and People, and the color red. He is sometimes depicted as a red-haired beast with a forked tail and cloven hooves or a shaggy red dog-like beast known as a sha (or, to modern-day scholars, as the Set Animal) which some scholars claim was modeled on the Saluki breed while others maintain was a purely mythological creature. Imagined speciffically to represent Set whose other symbols were The Griffin, Hippopotamus, Crocodile, and Tortoise (Though he was primarily associated with the serpent). Other Names He was often called were "Lord of the Desert" and "Ruler of the South" as he was originally a god of Upper Egypt (the south) and the barren lands beyond Egypts borders.

Mini Set guide
Historical Info  Names: Set, Sutekh, Seth, Seteh Epithets: Lord of the Desert, Ruler of the South,  Pantheon: Kemetic/ Egyptian Condensed list of domains: The red land (upper Egypt), deserts, chaos, war, foreigners, storms Symbols: The Was (war) sceptor, ankh, sha animal Offering ideas: things in red, iron, weapons, desert iconography (cacti, sand, etc...), lettuce Fun fact: in the early early days of Egypt, Set was seen as a deity residing over love. That’s right our good pal Set was invoked for love spells and put on amulets to help with love.
UPG
Set in my experience is a very upfront entity, that is if he wants something it’ll be known. When he first tried to contact me (and really the only time he’s contacted me) it wasn’t with the usual “oh if you see lots of x it means y” no it was tinnitus that physically hurt and the x-box turning on and off on its own. Yes, that could be taken as sooo many other things, but I have my reasons for interpreting them that way.
Snacks! I swear these are the most common offerings I feel compelled to give. Every time I have a cookie or some baked rolls, there’s always that pull to drop some off at his alter.
Even though he’s a very upfront entity, he isn’t really the most involved if that makes sense. Again this is my personal relationship, but anyways, I’ve been worshiping him for roughly 2 years now (April 21, 2018) and honestly there hasn’t been any like “life changing” moments. It’s a common sight on social media platforms to see “well I did this and this with x and y said this to me and yadayadayada” and like worded statements, but the truth is that probably isn’t going to happen especially with Set. In Kemetic circles, him just disappearing for months is a bit notorious.
He cares! He might not always answer every meditation session or hang out with you, but for all my sui/ci/dal breakdowns on his alter things changed for the better.
Worship inspiration There is no right way to honor him, but these are small things I like to do
Offer historical offerings (see top of post)
Make him things- I’ve painted, sculpted, and tried experimental photography for Him lol
Dedicate new hobbies and ventures to Him
Collect trinkets while traveling
I have a travel alter I put stuff in
Just try new things in general
Some physical fitness- if you can’t work out, just try some light stretching or maybe drink more water in His name
extra points for martial arts
Research Him (and share your findings)- the best way to beat misinformation is with the right info!
Don’t forget to pray/ talk to Him- This can go two ways: both we get caught up trying to get the “perfect” offering or trying to look good for the community, that we forget to actually talk and the fact Heka is very much centered around the belief that words hold power. When you dedicate praise and blessings and actually mean it, it’s basically the equivalent of offering something physical.

I realized Set would be the type for a mini skirt with a slit in it for mobility purposes, and a whole damn outfit idea came out of it so here we are.

Deity Dialogue » Set 🖤 for @melkatsudonn
Across the broad desert, both seeker and guide walk hand in hand. Set is a chimera of forms; sometimes a sleek black stallion, other times his original depiction, and in others still, varying creatures that suit his whim, but always—always dark, a picture of totality; the presence of all colors as they’ve ever been.
“Almost,” he whispers softly, sweetly. The sun above soaks your brow, the hot tongue of wind scalding beneath your billowing clothes and yet you press on. It is so close you can taste the salt of success on your tongue. There, in the distance the ivory city looming; the construction of your dreams. There he is with you, laughing. You can feel the strength of his wild joy.
At the crest of the high point, at the heart of the sands he says: “Soon.” The city seems no nearer and yet you nod, knowing it as truth. “Move steadily. The path is set—and I am always with you.”
You grin, mopping your brow. “Praise be unto the Storm,” you say, heart smiling.
The emotion is emotion shared; you feel love flow in a circuit between you. Loyalty is hot like fire in your blood, like a warsong, and now in the form of a proud bird he flies high into the pale horizon, always seeking your greatest good, leading you ever closer. Triumph, transcendence; a birth is coming. Your careful steps will make the path.

After describing some Old Kingdom finds, Petrie speaks of "the far later limestone stela of Set and Hathor (XLIII). The heads are covered with gold leaf, put on carelessly, and spreading irregularly 1/4 inch beyond the outline." _Naqada and Ballas_, page 5

Set: the Perfect God
SET:
God of thunder, lord of storms: Did you hear the rain? The day your brother died- Did you grieve then? Later? Never? For you knew from the start- Chaos has a purpose. Even if it hurts. Order can stagnate, fester- And you clean away decay. New things grow only when the old is stripped away. You knew: Everyone needs a god. And everyone needs to face the storm.
Were you unpopular then, great one? Well, you were named Thief of the Dawn, and Perhaps you have stolen yourself a new day. Your children come to you: Hearts asunder, your name on their tongue, Begging for a storm.

Ahhh I was finally able to purchase Set's chair! Pretty sure all of the Egyptian is fake but I love it. Set is a little naked for now but I'm sure he won't mind.

“Where interest tries and fails anew the world, it calls; alive in you—”
The skin of the bridge is granite, the avenue broad, flaring into a web of filigree as the slabs raise into railing. You stand shoulder to shoulder with the god Set, a powerful umber-colored energy in the shape of a man, dark sclera framing a pair of blood-and-cornflower eyes. You feel at home if not a little nervous, daunted by the shape he has chosen; yet you can make out the hint of a smile in the undulating folds of his energy.
“Still at work?” He asks. There it is; the echo of voices untold, styled into the choir of generations. Your brows raise and you exhale softly, the horizon to a coming smile. “Still working on it, yeah,” you say, fumbling. “I just am not sure how to…” He supplies: “Move forward?”
Your grin is earnest, albeit a little pained. “You could say that,” you complain. “I just feel stuck. I don’t understand what I’m missing.” Set stares unblinking. It is difficult to hold his gaze.
“You must drop your guard,” he says. “The issue is the ego as it tries to protect itself.” You blink, taken aback. “Anything perceived as a threat goes ignored, including the things that might serve you.” You squint at skyline, where the golden dawn is slowly rising. You try to consider what he’s said.
“But what if I’m wrong?” You ask, nebulous unease churning.
“Young one, you are yet waiting for something to infiltrate your mind; a piece of information or idea with the power to set you free.” Sets says. "But nothing has the power to do this. It is now up to you to decide what you believe.” As he speaks, the dark fire of his energy burns with increased intensity.
“So much awaits you,” he whispers, “for he who overcomes his own self is enriched for it.” But this seems to agitate you all the more. “Overcome myself?” You repeat, tasting the words and finding them bitter.
“Not through subjugation. Try: experimentation. The elimination of doubt. Think it over,” he says, closing his burning eyes. In his contemplation he is an obelisk of pure night, a plume of black smoke; the purity of entropy which gives birth to life again—the opposition of brightness and the absence of thought. Admiring, you watch him closely; you wonder if this is not what it means to be free.

(Fake) Rule of Thumb for the Netjeru:
1. Everyone is the Sun
2. Everyone is the Nile.
3. Except Set who is the opposite of those things, because no one likes him. Except when they like him.
