LOENA hi omg where to even start. I really hope you're not sick of me because we talk all the time and I absolutely love talking to you about tennis and life and everything. I'm so impressed with you always sticking with shapo even when he flops (which is a lot sigh) and in general I just love how positive you are about tennis. like, you always just enjoy the players you like and never really bother yourself with the ones you don't and I admire that so much. also, your tennis questions are so fun and a really nice way to bring tennisblr together, I hope you keep doing them!!

oh wow okay okay hmm okay this is turning out to be very difficult for me 🤔🤔 idk I feel like I don't categorise any players like this.. although I just thought about the wta and I could think of 5 hahsjsj.

I'm just so ready to cheer for the players y'all like and support...The only one that's obvious for me is nadal as I mentioned in my other one of these he is my og and my pookie. I don't actively dislike any players really (except the obvious ones. With court cases against them).

I am a staunch big four truther so Murray does have my support.. don't know if he lives in my heart though. And medvedev lives in my brain but I would never call him pookie. My family used to really like raonic too, and I'm always happy to see him around...

I feel like I've stopped making sense SKKSKSKS I think the takeaway here is that I like seeing all the posts on tennisblr about ur faves and I participate in a sort of second-hand fave experience. Like 100% I'm cheering for shapo or the americans or ruru or vava or lehecka and so on and so forth.

13. Who was the first player who got you interested in tennis?

I am such a broken record for these answers haha. My mum loves tennis and is the reason I care about tennis at all. My dad was always a federer truther while my mum liked both federer and nadal, but my friend in primary school liked nadal the most (at least until novak came along bc she was serbian!) and so I decided I did too.

Being as I was a baby child it was never really a conscious decision to care, and kind of the real answer is my mum, who did play recreational tennis sjjejsek

19. Who is the most underrated player?

now see this is one where truly I have no idea at all ejjejsjwjwjjw before i joined tennisblr and before ao24 I was not at ALL caught up with the newer players and really never paid much attention to the rankings/technical aspects. Once again, to me it's just ball go bounce..

Thank you so much, Fisher, for the asks ♥ K - What character has your favourite development arc/the best development arc? Woah that's a tough question. I might go with Holger here, since I disliked him first but he's growing on me since I started writing fics about him :D Same goes for Shapo, he really wasn't my favourite at the beginning (first noticed him at AO22 in the match against Rafa where he didn't collect many sympathy points) but with the things he's recently saying/posting (for example equal pay) he's definitely growing on me. Not really a development arc per se, but that is what comes to my mind. N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice). First: People being more chill about everything and not cancelling athletes over minor disagreements. Yeah, I know it's an RPF fandom where you need to be more critical in general but, man, chill guys. It's just a fandom and definitely not the responsibility of writers or fangirls/boys to get things right that go wrong in real life. These are not issues that can be solved by tumblr rants or cancelling fangirls/boys who ship xyz. Sure, it's good to be aware of all the shit that's going on, but please, let the fandom be a fandom more often. Second: There are never enough Fedal fics. Third: Or RuRu fics. T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?  Rafa has had a crush on Roger since the first day he saw him and with time, it evolved into something deeper. U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites. Okay, so my non-Tennis fandom faves are: Lewis Nixon, Band of Brothers - He's my favourite because of how much he loves Winters, his humour and how relatable it is that he's not exactly an early riser. Tony Stark, MCU - he's misunderstood, his sarcasm is gold and all the things he's been through really make me have pity on him. I just wanna hug him. Johnny Marcone, The Dresden Files - The mob boss you can't hate. He's just such an interesting character, you never know what he's up to, and he's sexy af. Also, Loki (MCU), Ezio (Assassin's Creed), Diego Hargreeves (Umbrella Academy) and Geoffrey McCullum (Vampyr) deserve to be mentioned. Ask me about my current fandom :)

oh denis shapovalov. that jump one handed lefty backhand gets me every time, it's just so silly in the best way. I love shapo. he seems like a genuinely good guy and despite his many inconsistencies in tennis, I do like his game. his music is... something. his "shut the fuck up" in rome with the voice crack will always be iconic. I really don't know how anyone could be a shapo hater, yes he can be cringe at times, but he's a sweetheart

as for the h2h against taylor, it's 5-4 in favor of shapo and unsurprisingly, shapo won more matches early while taylor won more matches later. I'd love to seem them play again, I think that would be fun

2 of my faves have flopped at Indian Wells so far and it’s only the second round 😍 at least Stef has the excuse of being slightly injured, Shapo is just a hot mess as usual... I love him very much but he does make it hard sometimes

“Mira’s tennis experience - part 3” - Vienna Open 2022, Day 3

today was AMAZING!! we sat at the top directly under the roof and had an incredibly good view of the court 🤩

next to us sat two young men of our age and the guy next to me didn't like Stef (how unlucky can I be to be sitting right next to someone who doesn't like Stef?! his friend was a Stef fan again though) and a couple who allegedly met Jannik's father at the prosecco bar 😂

we kinda "pumped" into an autograph-session of Andrey during a break which means i saw Andrey three times in seven days 🥰😂

although i totally love and adore Dennis Novak, it was all about Stef for me 😂 i was so tensed and nervous during Stef's match (my friend made so much fun of me because of that) but the crowd absolutly LOVED his interview after the match were he talked so lovely about Vienna and with the attempt to teach the audience a Greek phrase 🥰 (and Stef looked so so good today!)

i don't know how to describe how Daniil's match was 😂 he played like 15 minutes after Stef and this stark contrast between Stef's "elegance" and Daniil's "unorthodoxy" was just 🤯🤯🤯 but i really really loved Daniil's match

Shapo vs. Taylor was very intense and the crowd was very loud. i think this was the first match without a "crowd favourite"? (in the first single match Jannik was crowd favourite, in the second match D. Novak, in the third one Daniil (at least more or less) but in the last one it was pretty equal i think?)...we watched the match point but not the on-court-interview bc we wanted to leave before the whole crowd leaves the hall but judging the applause Shapo said some great things 😂

and i might got into a little "argument" because someone was talking bad about Karen 😐😂
