[NEWS] Musical Touken Ranbu: Free Online Streams of the "Musical Touken Ranbu" have been Announced

DMM TV will be making some of the previous "Musical Touken Ranbu" productions available for online live streaming free of charge at specific dates and times.

And so...I was just finished watching Shinkenranbu Sai 16′ thanks to @pamsurowka for the vid and @sohmariku for the subs, and for the whole show I think that its SO BEAUTIFUL, I can’t even take my eyes off the screen and I even FORGOT TO TAKE SCREENSHOT!! what the hell X’D these screenshots are taken randomly. I was intended to take screenshot chronologically but I forgot!! I was too fixed to the show XD I even forgot which scenes I want to make gifs X’D there are TOO MANY scenes i’d love to make into gifs, or at least screenshots, but OMG...my hands just wont move to at least press the SS button X’D Ah, btw, at the end of the show Kashuu said they need repair with tired face XD just wondering if the second curtain call is uncalled for XD they already close the show but the fans keep clapping so they had no choices other than second curtain call XD Btw Kashuu sang every song of the entire show right? he was with sanjou and with shinsengumi, even solo perform X’D OMG, I cant imagine how tired he was

Sorry for being so late with my reply. It's been a busy day. I can't thank you enough for your kindness. It helps a lot to know the story of a play before watching it. As I don't understand a word usualy I can only watch and guess what is happening on stage. This looks and sound like a very intense play

Now I entered too fast xD. I will definitely try to watch it. I've been humming the song for the entire day and I love the long version you posted. Tsubasa trash are very kind people. You are right, for now I can't tell his voice apart from the others. I believe his voice is the more warmer one. Am I right? No that’s okay! I was busy all day yesterday but I did see your comments so don’t think that I forgot to reply xD You’re welcome. I was able to after watching the anime first before I knew about the musical. To be honest this was the first ever 2.5D stage I ever watched. You’ll be able to pick up some of the language eventually, then you’ll be able to understand it a bit better. It’s kind of intense but they did try to stay close to the original anime. If need help looking for a link let me know as I know of one.

Yeah it really is a nice song and it look me months to get it out of my head (the anime version before the musical version). We  (@ishikawadesu and I. As well as a few others that I know of xD) are a very nice trash community! Tsubasa does have his ways of making you become his trash without you even knowing. Such as doing thing like this!

Yeah it can be hard to tell, so I might make a separate post with the Romaji lyrics and I’ll point out where he sings and such! (as I would do it here, but it would go on for a while xD)

You can still love other actors too (as we all do), but we do like to talk about him and he is one of my favourite actors that doesn’t really get talked about as much. So I try my best to keep everyone updated on what he’s doing and if there’s anything new. As well as help spread as much Tsubasa love as I can!

As today was the free broadcast of Shinken Ranbu Sai 2016 on DMM, I thought I'd look up and translate Mario's tweet he posted after the performance back then ^^

So, Mario wrote on December 21 2016:

A Comparison of Kashuu Kiyomitsu’s Nail Art

Not long ago, @rz-jocelyn​ made a post about the nail art that Sato Ryuji as Kashuu Kiyomitsu (SatoKiyo) has in the special performances of Musical Touken Ranbu.

What I’m really interested in is how SatoKiyo manages to change his nail art whenever he changes from his regular (official in-game) costume(s) to his live outfits. In the actual performances, he has blood red nails, but when he changes into his live outfit, his nails are decorated, usually on his left hand.

Atsukashiyama Ibun

In the actual performance of Atsukashiyama Ibun, he just has simple blood red nails, just as his 2D game counterpart does, to match the source material.

But when he changes to his live outfit, his left fourth finger is decorated.

Bakumatsu Tenrouden

Similarly, in Bakumatsu Tenrouden, while in-musical, he has blood red nails.

However, in the live, his left third and fourth fingers are decorated.

Itsukushima Shrine

The Itsukushima Shrine performance wasn’t exactly a proper musical, but a special performance. It starts with them in their itsukushima shrine live outfits, and so to match his outfit, SatoKiyo has decorated nails. This time, the designs are on his left thumb, middle and last fingers.

But when he changes into his regular outfit towards the end of the performance, his nails similarly change to a plain blood red.

Shinken Ranbu Sai 2016

For Shinken Ranbu Sai 2016, the nail designs on both his hands change when they switch from their regular outfits to their live outfits.

On his right hand, his nails start off blood red as usual for the musical songs segment.

But in the live, his right ring finger is painted a different colour and is decorated.

On his left hand, his nails also start off blood red, as expected.

But in the live, his second, third and fourth fingers on his left hand are all decorated a different colour.

Kashuu Kiyomitsu Tanki Shutsujin 2017

His most recent performance in his solo live starts with live songs. As such, his left thumb, middle and last fingers are decorated when it starts. Also, the red nail polish used for his Kashuu Kiyomitsu Tanki Shutsujin nails are a much brighter, vibrant red than the blood red used previously.

During the middle segment of the live, he changes to his regular outfit. When he does, his nails also change, returning to just red again.

However, when he changes to his last live outfit, the nails on his left hand are once again, decorated.

The attention to detail in Musical Touken Ranbu regarding the character and costume design of SatoKiyo constantly amazes me. And this is without mentioning the change in his earrings that also accompanies his outfit changes.

It really makes me wonder how he changes his nail colour/design so fast, especially for Tanki Shutsujin where he literally has just a few minutes to change his entire outfit, including his nails and his earrings. 

Look out for the changes in his nails (and earrings!) the next time you watch one of the Musical Touken Ranbu performances that he’s been in!
