I too believe that some of Rejet's games take place in the same universe! The events of Black Wolves Saga took place several centuries ago, when the Sakamaki were children, and everything that happens in Dance With Devils, Carnelian Blood and Diabolik Lovers is happening at about the same time. And yes, I'm sure Karl is the big bad in all of this histories 💀.

OMGGGG YESS! The cat people in Black Wolves Saga are never mentioned in any of the diaboys routes unlike races like the Vampires (obviously), Wolves, Vibora, and Alder. It was a little suspicious why there were so few races mentioned in Diabolik Lovers.

It's easy to assume that those four just stood the test of time, and that might be true. However, there was such a wide variety of races in the beginning of Black Wolves Saga, but most of them were either dead or dying, like the bunny boy, Zara Skeens. He's the last of his kind, and the only reason he isn't dead is that he was taken in by Foina's dad, Edgar Galland.

The same goes for the cat boys, Mejojo, Auger, and Julian. I would say the same for their parents as well, but most of them met an unfortunate fate, by the start of the story and now their whole race is slowly dying just like the humans the wolves were killing at the time. Yes you read that right there were humans living in the demon world more specifically Weblin a place for both humans and demi-humans, (creatures who have the power to shift between both human and animal forms.) before Arles made it his life misson to eradicate them.

I'm also assuming their lifespan is not nearly as long as vampires. But it wasn't just the rabbit race human race or the cat race that were dying some wolves were also catching a disease that was wiping out their race aswell (seriously, what's up with Rejet and having diseases decimate entire races?).

The disease was called Zodiva, a.k.a. "Mad Wolf Disease." Some known characters afflicted with this disease were Arles and Rath. However, it's puzzling why we don't see this disease affecting modern-day Diabolik Lovers wolves. My theory is that Karl released this disease to quell the rebellious wolf population; as the wiki states, "For many years, humans, cats, and wolves shared political power, but one day, the wolves revolted, plunging the country into chaos." and "Arles reportedly led a revolt against the monarchy 10 years before the story's beginning and was thus driven out along with the other wolves."

Karl has a history of afflicting people with diseases to defeat them (cough, cough, the founders).

While we're on the topic of founders, we can imply that the person who created Endzeit was Carnelian Brecht from the series Carnelian Blood @vampirerosemary explains it way better then I ever could so I would recommend you read these 3 post!

Regarding Carnelian Blood in Dance with Devils, it's 100% canon that vampires exist, and they are the main antagonists in the game, alongside the church. Both settings take place in Japan and involve magical beings, but it's a little confusing why vampires are mentioned in Dance with Devils while devils aren't mentioned in Diabolik Lovers. Kanato and Laito make references to Incubus (Kanato literally had the spirit of an Incubus possess Teddy and hold Yui down), and Urie is an Incubus. So, it's possible that devils are a small or lesser-known race in Diabolik Lovers.

It's also interesting that Nesta is canonically the father of Lindo, and the fact that Nesta and Karlheinz share a striking resemblance, from their hair to their clothing style, it's noteworthy to mention Karlheinz's affinity for cosplaying different people, like Reinhart, and having kids who all look different from each other suggests that he might have assumed various identities and appearances throughout history. This idea is even supported by the fact that Kanato mentioned that their father could change his appearance, becoming a man or a woman at any time, and even they don't know what he truly looks like.

You can argue that Lindo gets his hair colour and eye from his mom

But keep in mind, Karl has a track record of making red-haired kids.

In my own personal headcanon, vampires age every 50 years. So if what the wiki says is true, that Karl is about 2000 years old, that means he's in his 40s.

In conclusion, Karlheinz is having the world's worst mid-life crisis, and he's making it everyone's problem. 💀

Fallen angels...together? - Shiki Natsumezaka x Reader

Summary: After getting cast out of Heaven, the reader does the only thing she can do...search for her best friend, who was cast out many years ago.

You were finally starting to understand why so many humans ended up being late on their first day of school or at a new job. You had asked close to twenty people where you could find at least one of the Student Council members, but not a single one of them stopped to give you the time of day. A part of you understood this, as they all had somewhere to be, but you had hoped that at least one of them would notice just how desperate you were.

After searching for what felt like hours and knocking on random doors, you finally came face to face with a staircase leading to two large doors, and you prayed with everything you had that you were in the right place.

Your legs suddenly started to feel like jelly as you made your way up the stairs, and you unexpectedly became more nervous than before. How was he going to react?

You took a deep breath to calm yourself before knocking on the door a few times. You were very relieved when you immediately heard footsteps on the other side. A few seconds later, one of the doors was pulled open to reveal a very handsome young man with orange-brown hair, and upon seeing you, his lips curled into a smirk.

'Well, well, well... What do we have here?' he asked as his golden eyes studied you from top to bottom, but you couldn't care less about the lustful way he was looking at you. You were there for one person and one person only, and everyone else was irrelevant until you could find him. 'I'm Sogami Urie. What's your name, beautiful?'

'L/n Y/n. I'm very sorry to bother you, but I must find someone with the name of Natsumezaka Shiki. Is he here?' you asked, completely snapping the flirty male out of his daze. You could tell that he was very taken aback by your question, but he quickly plastered a smile back onto his face, as if it didn't bother him that you wanted to give your attention to another male.

'Let me get this straight... You're here to see Shiki?' he asked, and you vigorously nodded your head, becoming more and more hopeful that you would finally see him again. 'That's a first... Wouldn't you much rather spend some time with me? I know of a great carnival we can go to together...'

'No, I really need to see Shiki. Please, it's urgent,' you said, eventually earning a sigh from the golden-eyed devil. He pulled on the door's handle so you could finally see the third library in all its glory, and he turned to look at the only other Student Council member in the room.

'Shiki, there's someone here to see you,' he said, sounding almost bored, and you took a few steps into the room, once again feeling butterflies in your stomach from both nervousness and excitement.

The purple-haired male in question was busy trimming some roses when his blood-orange eyes looked up to see who had entered, and once his eyes met yours, it was like the world had stopped moving. The shock of seeing you again after so many years kept the fallen angel's feet rooted in place, and for a moment, he thought he was hallucinating.

'Do you know this girl by any chance? I won't have any problem throwing her out if you don't,' Urie said as he closed the door once more, finally causing his fellow Student Council member to take action.

'You will not touch her!' Shiki said sternly as he dashed towards you, almost knocking you to the ground with the tight hug he tackled you with. You couldn't stop your tears from falling as you relished the feeling of being in your best friend's arms again, only then realising just how much you had missed him. Just how much you had needed him. 'I... I can't believe it's you... We haven't seen each other in so long...'

'I know. I missed you so much, Shiki,' you said, burying your face in his shoulder as you swayed from side to side together.

'I missed you too. So, so, so, so, so much.'

'Umm, I don't mean to interrupt, but what the heck is going on?' Urie asked with crossed arms, and you both reluctantly pulled out of the hug to look at him. 'Am I just supposed to accept the fact that Shiki knows someone this beautiful and has never mentioned her?'

'There's a reason why I never mentioned her,' Shiki mumbled as he interlocked your fingers, pulling you even closer to him. 'Urie, this is Y/n. She's my best friend and the only person who has always been on my side. She's the only real friend I had in Heaven.'

'Whoa... She's an angel?' the orange-brown-haired male asked, and you could feel all your joy dissipating at his words. You were so excited to be reunited with your best friend that you had completely forgotten what you were doing there in the first place, and Shiki immediately felt the change in your behaviour.

'Well, not exactly...' you said, and as expected, both of the Student Council members looked at you with confused expressions, although Shiki's eyes held concern as well as bewilderment.

'Y/n, what are you talking about?' he asked, worried when you left his grip to take a few steps back, your eyes once again starting to glisten with tears.

'I... I think it's better if I just show you,' you said as you bit your lip, before letting your wings protrude from your back, closing your eyes so as to not catch a glimpse of the dark purple colour you had yet to grow accustomed to. Shiki immediately realised what you meant at the sight of what was once your pride and joy, and he hated to see the disgust you now held for your wings and for yourself.

'Y/n, were you-'

'Please don't be disappointed in me...' you sobbed quietly as you retracted your wings, stopping Shiki before he could finish his question. 'I know you warned me to stay out of trouble, and you told me not to follow in your footsteps, and you probably think less of me now, and-'

'I could never think less of you,' Shiki said quickly before you could continue with your rambling, pulling you back into his arms so he could rub soothing circles on your back. 'I'm not angry, I'm not disappointed, and I do not think less of you, okay? I just don't understand... How could they cast you out? You were by far the most good-hearted angel in Heaven. What happened?'

'I... I... I killed another angel because they wouldn't stop speaking ill of you... I killed them, Shiki!' you admitted shakily, your entire body starting to tremble with your sobs. You felt your best friend's arms tighten around you as your breathing became ragged and uneven, and you were certain that if it weren't for his comfort, you would have succumbed to a full-blown panic attack.

'Shh, it's okay. Everything is going to be okay,' he whispered as he placed a loving kiss on the top of your head, which immediately succeeded in calming you down a bit. 'Y/n, despite everything that happened, you are still the kind, caring, and beautiful angel who gave her entire heart to helping others, and that will never change. You were provoked this time, and I have no idea what that angel said, but it must have been horrible if it caused you of all people to act, so you have nothing to feel ashamed about. Nor should you feel disgusted with yourself. Yes, your wings are no longer pearly white in colour, but your heart still is, and that's something that they can never take away from you. So, instead of feeling disgusted with yourself, embrace your circumstances and use them to your advantage. You can help more humans now that you're here on Earth, and I want you to love your new wings. I know I do.'

'You do?' you asked as you pulled away slightly to look up at your best friend, and he nodded with a soft smile while wiping the remainder of your tears.

'I think the purple wings suit you a lot. And, if you look on the bright side, we can be fallen angels together now,' he said, finally causing the smile to return to your face. 'Y/n, you have no idea just how much I missed you. I've thought about you every single day since I was cast out, and even though it was selfish, some part of me kept wishing that you would return to my side.'

'I thought about you every day too, Shiki. And...that day you were kicked out of Heaven...' you said, feeling your cheeks heat up at the vivid memory. 'I don't know if you remember, but...'

'Of course I do. You confessed your feelings for me, but I was forced out of Heaven before I could do anything. Before I could tell you that I returned your feelings. Before I could ask you to be mine...' he said as his hand slowly moved up to rest against your cheek, causing your breath to hitch. 'I think it's about time we make things right, don't you?'

All you could do was nod your head as the purple-haired devil slowly started leaning in, and as soon as his lips touched yours, you closed your eyes. The butterflies in your stomach started going berserk when Shiki pulled you even closer by your waist, and you wrapped your arms around his neck, immediately granting him access when his tongue swept across your lower lip.

All Urie could do was stand back and watch with fascination, both surprised that you and Shiki had found each other again after so long, and that someone as beautiful as you had fallen for the purple-haired sadist. Literally.

I FINALLY got the motivation to redraw my Dance With Devils story cover!! I figured that since all my other fanfics had new covers, why not this one? I mean the old one was drawn on a lined piece of paper from my high school days so yeah this needed a redo REALLY bad😅 I sadly didn’t have the talent to draw the angel wings or the background, my art app: ibisPaint X, provided those for me to speed things up. But either way I think this turned out really well and I hope that you all will think so as well!

I've been replaying Red Embrace: Hollywood, so I've got some ideas for the boys and their vampire houses. This is strictly RE:H, I'll probably do another categorising once Paradisus (and their "fourth house") comes out

I'm going with the idea that they were human-ish before. Demons don't exist in the RE:H universe, vampires can't have kids, so they all have to be turned humans

Shiki - Golgotha

It's one of those things that I can't explain to anyone who hasn't played the game, Shiki is just so Golgotha. You don't even know how and when he was turned, he settled in so well, you'd think he was born into it

His visions would be of the recent past or present, hidden details about people that let him read them like an open book. Think MC's visions, needles for a drug addict, a red flame for someone with a fiery personality, a man buried in cash and gold because he's been stealing money

Turned willingly. Or was he?

Mage - Mavvar

Maybe it's cliche to say Mavvar because "hurr gurr the rowdy ones", but given how he tells Ritsu that he doesn't hate her for what Maxxis did, that she is her own person and her father's deeds aren't hers by default… Yeah, Mavvar.

Mavvar are very "I follow my own rules", and more community focused. They tend to stick with the people they care about through anything

Turned willingly, and he's greatly enjoying the vampire life

Urie - Iscari

Urie is Iscari, he just is. It helps that he has literal hypnosis powers. As if the others don't, but you get my point

He does live in façades and deception, uses his lust deal to get what he wants. Does it make sense if I say he feels safer being in control?

Turned willingly, but it's in the nature of many Iscari to lament the loss of their humanity, so sometimes he really wonders if he made the right decision

Lindo - Mavvar

I'm leaning towards Mavvar because of the temperament, yeah. But also how he fights to protect Ritsuka. Yeah, he keeps her in a bubble, but outside of that bubble, he goes out and fights himself, he doesn't stay hidden with her. He fights to protect what he loves and I'd say he needs his community, no matter how small

Turned… in less than ideal circumstances. Whether he was coerced or just grabbed and turned by force, I can't say, but he's not happy about it. Maybe he's a Stryx, "a human with exceptionally appealing blood". The game says "Strices tend to have… rather extreme reactions to being turned" but we don't see a turned Stryx, so I can't say for sure

Rem - Iscari

Rem… Rem was a bit more complicated

The key thing about RE:H is that vampires don't get turned "just like that"

A vampire shares common traits with their house because they likely chose that house themself. They got along with someone from that house, then they were turned in that house. Because otherwise, there are unpleasant consequences for everyone. Suicide, revealing vampires to humans, or whatever creative punishment they might have for their sire, it's never a good time

So most Iscari are sad star-children who are stuck in the past because they mostly turn humans who were already like that. Most Mavvar are rowdy and easily swayed into a mob mentality because they were like that as humans. And most Golgotha are the "everything else" weirdos because they were already "everything else" (whatever that "everything else" is, Golgotha is the most varied house in Hollywood in terms of that)

When it comes to Rem's house, Glax already gives me BIG Iscari vibes. Relying more on trickery and threats than brute force, but not enough trickery to be Golgotha. Golgotha are also described to "crawl from the dirt when there's an uprise", taking the opportunity to take the lead rather than making that opportunity themselves

Glax's trickery and threats (to me) are calculated, planned out, not an instinctual "I just felt like doing it." The Golgotha's deception in game (again, to me) is also about the process, not just the end result. Randal says "Golgotha would cheat a blind man at dice", but I feel like it's because they also enjoy the game of dice, you know?

And Mavvar want a leader who will speak for them. As Randal puts it, "50 voices shouting at once makes negotiations hard. But one guy speaking for the group, not that's how you achieve something."

Glax does not seem like the kind of leader to do that. Glax feels like he has his own ideas that he wants people to follow, rather than "speaking for the group". And I don't think he'd want to be part of the group either, to have someone else speak for him

So, I feel like Glax would choose to be Iscari. In the game, Iscari in general tend to be the leaders of a coven, just because they turn more people who need to have control over their lives

Even in the first Red Embrace game, the BL one, the factions are called Helgen and Serei I think? But the devs revealed that Bishop, the leader, is an Iscari, and the two vampire love interests are, classified by RE:H houses, Mavvar. So it's just that more leader-type people end up as Iscari

Back to Rem, I feel like he wouldn't choose to be a vampire. He would like to live his life as a human. But with Glax choosing Iscari, Rem would be dragged into it too

So I actually did take this time to watch the anime and read the two chapters of that translated Dance with Devil's and man, the anime is, not that good, to be honest. I didn't really have that high expectations of the anime, but it feels like a huge jumbled mess of them trying to put all of the characters into the anime. I mean there was a plot, it was just kinda... confusing, at points. They focused a lot of Rem and Lindo and Rem won (?) but he also disappeared at the end so it just left her with Lindo? Anyways, the entire anime is mostly just the guys trying to harass Ritsuka because they want to take the grimoire except Lindo, the brother cousin, or brousin if you will (please stop saying that) who is trying to protect Ritsuka.

The manga is supposedly more on Shiki, the purple character, though from the raws it kinda just... doesn't have him afterwards? Hard to say though, there's only like two chapters translated. The game itself isn't translated (because that's how Rejet is with most of their games) though it is on Switch and PSVita, so it's hard to say.

Personally, I feel that Urie Sogami isn't really... much of a yandere? At least in the anime and the handful of reviews that I've been reading online, he pretty much seems like more like a tragic playboy type, the best he can be is maybe possessive? If you squint. Also I think he locks her up for a bit, but he doesn't have a yandere bad ending.

Personally, I think Lindo and Shiki are more yanderes, and especially Lindo, since he's super overprotective over Ritsuka throughout the anime and game (which you know, understandable considering the various demons/half angel that's coming after her) and Shiki, but mostly in his bad endings where he kills everyone in Ritsuka's school. Other than that I think he's kinda just... whatever? I have no idea.
