i have made a grand error in judgement for

fucking screaming. what do you mean the izaya and shizuo alternates aren't canon. what do you MEAN the fandom made them up. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE NAMES PSYCHE AND DELIC CAME FROM THE DURARARA OST CD TITLED PSYCHEDELIC DREAMS. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEIR DESIGNS CAME FROM THE COVER ART OF THE CD????????

i literally thought there was like. an official light novel that just had alternate versions of shizaya?? and i thought there were like alternates of a bunch of different characters in durarara which would be a ton of work and wouldnt make much sense but i didnt question it until NOW

and have i been fucking mistaking roppi for ROKUJO CHIKAGE because i misremembered his nickname as roppi instead of rocchi

i guess whatever official art i saw of them was just. regular shizuo and izaya drawings that the fandom made into alters. i had the relationships reversed. and like narita has made shizaya's relationship so gay already that is it that far of a stretch to imagine that he might've made one or two or several alternative universes where shizaya weren't beefing. he's literally written shizaya smut i wouldn't put it past him

i also didnt realize there were so fucking many??????????? and they're all based off of like actual art bgkjdfhs and like who the hell is izaya-sensei

i only decided to finally look up the alters because of this post (which i will reblog in a second because i love monster hunter) and i looked on the official izaya wiki and there was no mention. of any of the alts. and i was like WAIT.

i literally. this has blown my mind far more destructively than it should have. goodnight everyone *explodes*

Shizaya week 2021

Day #1 Gay panic!!

DRRR/Shizaya (story?) idea thing

This idea thing is basically Izaya having this odd ability, where if he gets too emotionally (example too angry, too excited, too happy or too upset) he’d just pass out and different aspects of him come out of his unconscious body (similar to astral projection or like a ghost/spirit) the aspects are different chibi alt versions of him, they also glow like fireflies or wisps. So Because of this ability he’s pretty insecure about him being overly emotional and vunrable so he tends to botting or running away from his emotions and because of this ability he can’t see himself as human but doesn’t see him as above since he sees his ability at worse a curse and at the very least an annoyance.

So imagine a scenario where Izaya is in a middle of a fight or in a chase with Shizuo and he gets too excited or happy and he just passes out, and poor Shizuo froze because he doesn’t know what to do and is almost concerned but then gets very confused when a glowing chibi Psyche greets him with a big (tiny) hug!

Each aspect technically have ages for example Kanra and Virus were created when Izaya began to use the Internet to mess with other people so they’re both like the middle children

Poor Izaya has no clue how many aspects he has made

I kinda want to give Shizuo the ability as well but he’s like angry 24/7 or most of the time so he’d constantly pass out, the poor man will forever be in an angry coma
