Simfileshare Situation

I've got just way too many asks (in my two blogs) about my simfileshare links not working. I can't even access simfileshare.

I have no idea what's going on here and I also don't know how to contact the sfs team. If any of you know how to, please tell me (IN THIS ACCOUNT. PLEASE. I'M LITERALLY HERE AND ONLY HERE. SIMANDY IS SHADOWBANNED. I CAN'T TALK IN THERE.)

Hey sims 2 players there has been news that vegan-kaktus's uploads have also been compromised i know thats a sims 2 archive thats trying to preserve S2 cc from being lost

Can anyone confirm that vegan-kaktus has also been compromised? Do they have .exe or .bat file extensions do they have zips that get flagged when downloading?

As always be safe while checking have your anti Virus running while doing so.

also, I love love love simfileshare but if multiple people got their accounts compromised at the same time, I am inclined to believe that it was not their fault. It seems more likely that sfs itself was not secure enough.

Last time I checked there wasn't even an option for 2FA, so if they're going to rework their security standards, maybe that's something they should add as well if possible.

simfileshare update :)

Soo I've been seeing some creators are seeing that their SFS account has been hacked to make it so you would download a virus instead of the CC, and since I used to use SFS and still see a few downloads on there (i literally don't know how lmao) I just wanted to come on here and let you know that my account is safe!! Everything looks as it should so if you do happen to download something from my SFS it should be fine.

Also, I do not use SFS anymore so if you do download my CC from my site all links should be a MediaFire direct download! :)

Edit: Thank you for all the replies and help! Glad to know it wasn't just my internet (cause I really didn't want to have to go down that rabbit hole of phone calls again xD). I also forgot that it's the holidays which means a lot more traffic so that explains it. for anyone else or just me? Been happening for about 2ish days now Like, we're talking taking 40+mins to download a 36mb package slow, or losing connection. Was trying to download all the new christmas cc and some of the downloads said 5+hours for a small download

⚠️ Important Announcement about SimFileShare

There is currently a hack affecting SimFileShare, which has caused the platform to go offline temporarily. Unfortunately, malicious files have been spread through the accounts of well-known CC creators such as Theninthwavesims and Simandy.

Specifically, Simandy’s and Theninthwavesims SimFileShare account has been hacked, and many links to the CC have been replaced by a zip file containing just one file called “install.exe”. This file is almost certainly malicious.

Edit:

Another creator, Pixelunivairse, has had her SimFileShare account hacked, and all links leading to her CC have been replaced by an .exe file using the same name as the original content. This is almost certainly malicious.

Do not download these files. Do not click or run these files. Do not allow these files to remain on your computer.

Please be extremely careful when using SimFileShare, and do not download anything with a .exe file name!

👉 Important:

Immediately delete anything you have downloaded via SFS from Theninthwavesims or Simandy in the past 24 hours.

Do NOT unzip, open, or run the file, and make sure it is completely removed from your computer.

Please run a full virus scan on your computer to ensure your system is safe.

🔁 For now, I’ve uploaded all of my April downloads to Google Drive instead. We don’t know how long the issue will last, so the January to April posepacks will likely be re-uploaded using Drive links for the time being.

I had to do at least twenty SAD PAINTINGS in a row before I finally got the last one (pictured). Needless to say, Lilac was very pleased.

They are on simfileshare! I will also upload the room to my gallery (HAYLEY247) once I determine it's safe to put the EA app back online again.
