I cant confirm this right now but according to the sims community's comments Pixelunivairse's sfs has also been hacked i although they say they downloaded a zip and it got flagged it could be just that zips are being flagged in general right now so this is UNCONFIRMED unti someone confirms it

Compromised Accounts on SFS

At least two creator accounts on SimFileShare are compromised (SimAndy, TheNinthWaveSim). Downloads may include executable .bat and .exe files (which obviously CC should not!!). For now, consider not downloading from SFS.

SFS Hack

For the sake of keeping this a bit shorter I've decided to create this post and link to the original, much reblogged post about this matter. its contains a lot of info thats definitely worth a read(!) but for now: Factsheet:

SFS uploads are currently NOT possible (see above).

CC (custom content) files ALWAYS end with .package.

Script mods files ALWAYS end in .ts4script

On Windows: if a CC folder on SFS or downloaded zip file contains a .exe do not run it! immediately remove it and empty your trashcan/bin.

On Mac: If a CC folder on SFS or downloaded ZIP file contains a .dmg do not open it and drag it into your App folder! Immediately remove it and empty your bin.

For creators: change your password if you have a SFS account, always use a randomly long(!) generated password (LastPass, Password (Apple)!

My own downloads are also stored on Dropbox.

I only use SFS as a 2nd link for all my downloads so if you download then use the Dropbox links for now. if you do use SFS then pay attention to the following:

If any zip or package file from me has been updated in march/April 2025 (at SFS):

Do not DOWNLOAD the file/zip from SFS and please let me know!!! ( I still have to check ALL folders manually for this...)

Soo I've been seeing some creators are seeing that their SFS account has been hacked to make it so you would download a virus instead of the CC, and since I used to use SFS and still see a few downloads on there (i literally don't know how lmao) I just wanted to come on here and let you know that my account is safe!! Everything looks as it should so if you do happen to download something from my SFS it should be fine.

Also, I do not use SFS anymore so if you do download my CC from my site all links should be a MediaFire direct download! :)

I think 'that someone else has gained access to my SimFileShare account' this what the SimFileShare team said when I couldn't access my account even thought that I was able to do so a couple hours before that to check if everything was Ok😑, So my account is not working at moment, and I advise everyone to be vigilant and refrain from downloading anything to keep your pc safe. I had my finger amputated so I can tell you how much amputation hurts. Not an arm specifically, but I imagine it’s fairly similar, just worse.

I am going to briefly describe the injury itself, but I won’t say anything gory, just a basic description of what happened. I’m also very sorry if this is inappropriate, please don’t feel bad ignoring this is it’s too gross or uncalled for.

I was injured at the second joint of my left index finger. The cut went from the top rightmost side of my finger, down to the middle of the bottom of my finger. It went down to bone at the top, which damaged my muscle, and it partially severed the nerve.

It was amputated because the nerve was damaged and my insurance wouldn’t cover the surgery to try to repair it, I didn’t want the increased risk of injury that comes with having a digit you can’t feel or move reliably, and I could afford the amputation out of pocket with the hospitals financial aid program.

It’s not the amputation that hurts the most, it’s the initial injury. It feels like nothing at first, or maybe it stings while you clean it, but mostly it just tingles weirdly. You’re aware that it hurts and your body reacts to you touching it, but you don’t really feel it.

It aches mostly at first, before it’s amputated, when you’re putting off going to urgent care (don’t put off going to urgent care. That was a bad choice.) it was maybe a 4-6 on the pain scale (moderate pain, distracting, you can’t ignore it, but you aren’t going to pass out or anything) but sometimes you’ll have shooting nerve pains from where the nerves were damaged (a very brief 7-9, severe pain, can’t do anything until it passes, you might want to pass out) and it stings a little when you dress the wound.

I’ll skip the hospital/pre-surgical pains and discomforts and get right to the recovery.

It didn’t hurt the first few days cause I was heavily medicated and asleep for most of it. Then it just ached. Sometimes it feels really cold, sometimes it feels really hot, mostly it just feels weird and tingly. The whole area feels like a bruise for a while, and a lot of it is pretty bruised. The nerve pain is the worst, but the aching drives you insane. It’s always there, sometimes better, sometimes worse, but it’s always there and it’s absolutely maddening.

For the first few months I was terrified to move the remainder of my finger since it kept causing the shooting nerve pain.

It’s been like 7 years now and it doesn’t usually hurt anymore sometimes there’s a twinge in the nerve/muscle, and it itches when I forget to dumb a gallon of moisturiser on the scar. It aches dully in the cold too, and sometimes I think it aches when I think about it, but I’m pretty sure that’s psychosomatic.

Anyways, other anon, I hope this helps! Be careful around sharp objects, always wear protective gear, and remember that the American healthcare system is a scam and to always contact your hospital about their financial aid plans. Don’t just look on their website for it, call them and ask. Even if you can afford your treatment, you may still be eligible for financial aid. Rob the fuckers blind.

Hey sims 2 players there has been news that vegan-kaktus's uploads have also been compromised i know thats a sims 2 archive thats trying to preserve S2 cc from being lost

Can anyone confirm that vegan-kaktus has also been compromised? Do they have .exe or .bat file extensions do they have zips that get flagged when downloading?
