Old Abbey Cemetery Part 3 - The Abbey, Grand Crypt and Summary

The Abbey

If you take an immediate left at the New Plots Crossroad you’ll be met by a sharp denial and a locked gate. Beyond this point is the realm of the Groundskeeper who maintains and digs the graves. Please do not enter the area without express permission as the Groundskeeper has a habit of leaving rakes lying around and D’Eath & Sons are not liable for any broken bones.

The namesake and most striking feature of the Cemetery is the ruins of the once thriving Abbey which is sits atop a sloping hill now a stark silhouette against the moonlit sky. Tourists flock from all over to admire the window into the past with guided Ghost Tours offered by the D’Eath Local Tourist Initiative. With so much history, and even the original boneyard available to enjoy, it is the perfect day out for all the macabre lovers out there.

Grand Crypt

Dynasties rise and fall, but every dynasty needs a Grand Crypt, a familial tomb, a statement to the world of your power. The answer to this desire, and soon your family, rests in the stunning and customisable Crypt at the end of Monuments Row.

Enter your dream place of rest with space for three generations in the main chamber, numerous columns for your urns and even a place of pride for your Legacy Founder, never to be forgotten. The antechamber is left deliberately bare so that the achievements of your Legacy can be displayed for all to see, forever!* (*Warning, failure to pay upkeep may lead to possession by an evil spirit in which case we will have to repossess the Crypt.)

Stats and Additional Info

Lot Value: §328,763

The Lot was designed to replace the central residence in Henford-on-Begley and takes into account the surrounding area, however this can be placed on any 64x64 and should fit in okay assuming the environment is green. I wanted to make a Cemetery with an obscene number of graves to accommodate a truly long Legacy challenge. Enough to actually house not only my families, but the townies as well. I designed the lot to have its own attitude and visual storytelling and with the expectation that it would be edited if used. So don’t be afraid to get into build mode and replace the graves with your own, that’s what they’re there for. Almost everything is a placeholder. The three crypts are inaccessible without removing the bars and are intended to be removed once you’ve claimed the crypt. Green space was left in certain sections to allow for expansion of existing sections if it becomes a bit too full for you.

Many packs were used in the making of this lot, however the majority was taken from Life & Death and other major expansions. Most of the kit, game pack etc inclusions are decorative and if you do not have all the packs, it is likely it will not cause major disruption, or something you could not simply delete or replace.

They say Stars are born, but wanna know a secret? Even stars need an education. Instead of paying thousands for some square in Britechester come and rent a room at the Starborn Lodges! Your residence will be up to minimum city safety standards, but you won't do much sleeping! Take advantage of our in-house comedy club, cinema, gym and laundry facilities! Perfect for your first step on the climb to the top.

The Starborn Lodges are legendary amongst the movers and shakers of the Del Sol Valley as the place where talent cut their teeth. Originally known only as a seedy motel, the location became famous for its speakeasy during the days of prohibition. Starlets of the black and white screen would scurry behind the blue curtain and dance till morning. Eventually it was purchased by Deedee ��Diamond’ McClaran, the belle of the Silver Screen, who turned it into an academy for up-and-coming performers.

Though it has come a long way, the spartan living of the apartments has remained the same. The facilities below however have certainly improved. The courtyard invites you to sit and contemplate your rise to the top and gives access to the four services available free of cost* to tenants.

The Bluejay Speakeasy is one of the most famous spots in all the Valley, or so the owner would have you believe. Sit back and relax as the smooth jazz vibes transport you back in time, and when you’re ready, follow the footsteps of the prohibitionists and sneak through the curtain.

The walls are adorned with signed memorabilia and a wall of performers who have graced that hallowed stage. Are you an aspiring country music star? How about a wise-cracking wannabe stand-up? Invite your fellow residents to come together and leeb, leefuh, lurv.

Beside the Bluejay is the most important inspiration for any star, the laundromat. Nothing humbles you after your local starring role as Bottom at the community theatre like untangling your undies from the communal drier. Chin up, one day you’ll never have to think about laundry ever again, you hope.

Nothing is more important for a star than their stamina, health and youthful good looks. The gym can help you with two of those, and so stop on down to the Pumpin’ ‘Ron Gym where you can even take advantage of our new mountain climber experience!

Are you a fan of the big screen? Well so are we at Starborn Residential Cinema with a truly luxurious private screening room for the residents to enjoy, or host their own movie nights. Alumni of the Lodges have donated props and awards from their many projects. Currently being showcased is the Pirates of Belladonna Cove and Animal Rangers Parental Nightmare 3, take in that movie magic! Don’t forget to grab your popcorn before you grab your seat!

Now, you’ve gotta be asking yourself, what’s the catch? If the facilities are this good, the accommodation must be out of this world! Well, lower your expectations. When Deedee founded the Lodges she made one thing clear; a luxurious home is the sign of an unambitious artist. In solid colours each residence are almost identical and contain everything you need to exist. For everything else? Get out there and grab Del Sol Valley by the short and curlies!
