Cameron Dorly [SNN]: His Majesty King George I met with Pope Francis XVI during a surprise visit to the Vatisim on Thursday.
Cameron [SNN]: Francis Benedict XVI, the Holy Pope, is Chief Pastor of the worldwide Cathlosim Church and Head of The State of King's City. Pope Francis is a friend and close spiritual advisor to many monarchs like the Sovereign of Windenburg and Oasis Springs, and several Americreek Presidents.
Cameron [SNN]: “The meeting, also attended by Queen Rowena, focused on the need to promote interfaith dialogue, harmony, and coexistence, as well as safeguarding the Christian presence in the region. Many believe the unannounced visit is an attempt by the palace to repair Queen Rowena’s image.”
Shon Gableton [SNN]: “The College of Cardinals, or more formally the Sacred College of Cardinals, is the body of all cardinals of the Cathlosim Church. As of 29 December 2022, its current membership is 64, of whom 25 are eligible to vote in a conclave to elect a new pope. Cardinals are appointed for life by the Holy Father to serve as his principal assistants and advisers in the central administration of church affairs.”
Shon [SNN]: “The College includes Cardinals Abraham Criste, Walter Tesmond, and Luke Nicholas who were present during the royal visit. Cardinal Tesmond commended Windenburg’s efforts, under His Majesty’s leadership, to safeguard the Christian presence in the region as an integral part of the country’s past, present, and future, and its demographic composition.”
Cameron [SNN]: “King George held a short audience with Pope Francis that also covered the latest international developments and the need for joint action to achieve peace. The ongoing war between North and South Marvania was also discussed.”

GARTER DAY AT WINDSOR CASTLE
The Queen's first Garter Day as Sovereign of ‘The Order of the Garter’
The Queen, The Prince consort and members of the Royal Family today attended a Garter Day service and ceremony at Windsor Castle. This year's event was the first time The Queen has taken part as Sovereign of ‘The Order of the Garter’.
Last year, The Queen did not attend Garter Day due to being on maternity leave but, The Prince consort and The Earl of Boykins were installed as Royal Knight Companions of the Order of the Garter, having been appointed by Queen Katherine I in 2023.
The Emperor (and Empress) of Sulani posed with The Queen and Prince consort after being invested as a Stranger Knight of the Garter.
New appointments to "The Garter" were invested in the Garter Throne Room, including the Lady Hope Spring as a Lady Companion of the Most Noble Order and the Emperor of Sulani as a Stranger Knights Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.
Windsor Castle, which has been the family home of Windenburg Kings and Queen's for over 240 years, is a historic castle, Royal Palace and a family home that is open to visitors for most of the year.
After lunch the Knights process on foot to a service in St. Leo's Chapel, wearing their blue velvet robes, known as mantels, and blue velvet hats with white plumes. The processional route is through the Upper, Middle and Lower Wards of the castle and around the bend to St. Leo's Chapel.
St Leo's Chapel sits in the Lower Ward of Windsor Castle at centre right, partially behind trees.
The Queen attended the service along with other members of the Royal Family in the Order, including The Prince consort, The Duke of Kent, The Duke of Hastings, The Earl of Boykins, and The Queen Mother.
The Emperor of Sulani was given the honor of accompanying Her Majesty into St Leo's chapel.
On reaching the chapel there is a short banner service, at the beginning of which the new Companions are installed inside.
The colorful procession is joined by the Constable and Governor of Windsor Castle and the Military Knights of Windsor.
On emerging from the Great West Door of the Chapel, the Sovereign and the other members of the Order return in carriages and cars to the Upper Ward of the castle.
The Queen and Prince consort led the procession out of the chapel, upon their departure from the event.
New appointments are announced on St George's Day but the chivalric and installation ceremonies take place every year on the Monday of Royal Ascot week, known as Garter Day.
This year marks The Queens first time celebrating Royal Ascot week after being crowned.
The Queen Mother was beaming as she joined alongside the other senior royals to depart the Order of the Garter service.
The Duchess of Kent was pretty in a pink X gown while The Duchess of Hastings shined bright in a yellow X gown.
The Earl and Countess of Boykins showed off their growing baby bump. The Earl was installed as a Royal Knight last year.
The Queen's younger sister, wearing a purple X dress, announced her pregnancy almost two months ago. This will be the royal couples first child.
The Duke of Hastings, currently 11th in line to the throne, also attended his first Garter Day. His Royal Highness was the last appointment made by His late Majesty King George I but did not attend last year's service.
The Order also includes supernumerary members (members of the Windenburg Royal Family and foreign monarchs), known as "Royal" and "Stranger" Knights and Ladies (Companion), respectively.
King Felipe of Oasis Springs, attending this year's Garter Day alongside his wife Queen Aoki, was made a Stranger Knight in 2022.
The Emperor and Empress of Sulani were all smiles as they emerged from the chapel. The Emperor is also a distant cousin of the Queen.
Installed as a Stranger Knight of the Garter in 2014, this year also marked The Emperor of Mt Komorebi's attendance since 2022. The two countries have been strong allies for over a century.

G5 - G6
[Buckingsim Palace, 11:12 AM WST]
(News anchor talking)
Cameron Dorly [SNN]: Well, the Bill is a long way from becoming Law, and with a Conservative-controlled House that is strongly against spellcasting, it has a long road ahead.
Queen Katherine: (typing)
(Martin enters)
Martin Lavelle [Private Secretary]: Members of the G5 have arrived, Your Majesty.
Queen Katherine: (typing) Where are they waiting?
Martin Lavelle [P.S.]: They are being escorted to the Southeast gardens, ma'am.
Queen Katherine: How long is the reception, again?
Martin Lavelle [P.S.]: 45 minutes, ma'am. Would you like the time increased? Decreased?
Queen Katherine: No. That time is fine.
Martin Lavelle [P.S.]: Lady Delilah will be accompanying you.
Queen Katherine: Thank you, Martin. Oh! I'd like to have a lunch with the family.
Martin Lavelle [P.S.]: The entire family, ma'am?
Queen Katherine: Yes. The Kents, Hastings, Boykins, and Queen Mother.
Martin Lavelle [P.S.]: When were you thinking? Your dowry has availability next Tuesday for lunch, if I recall.
Queen Katherine: Yes, next Tuesday. This is not an optional lunch, Martin. Help them reschedule any royal engagements had that hour, and manage the communications needed.
Martin Lavelle [P.S.]: Yes, Your Majesty.
- - - - - - LATER - - - - -
[Buckingsim Palace Southeast Gardens, 11:31 AM WST]
Linwood Keller [Prime Minister]: Welcome, Your Majesty. I'll introduce you to some of the other Sims world leaders. It will be imperative we continue to show we're a strong nation, especially after the last few days.
Queen Katherine: (annoyed) I do know how to schmooze, Prime Minister.
Linwood Keller [P.M.]: Of course, Your Majesty.
Queen Katherine: Madam President!
Paulina McNally [President]: (curtsy) Your Majesty. Always lovely to see you.
Queen Katherine: Lara and Anthony had such a lovely time in Americreek. I must schedule a tour myself soon! I hear Chick-fil-a is all the rage there.
President McNally: (laughs) It is!
Queen Katherine: Ah, Prime Minister Trido! How lovely to see you! Thank you for attending my coronation. I trust you are keeping Oasis Springs running smoothly?
Jason Trido [P.M.]: (bowing) It was a beautiful coronation, Your Majesty! Yes. Running Oasis Springs is no small tall task. One I'm sure Linwood knows all too well running Windenburg.
Queen Katherine: Indeed!
- - - - - LATER - - - - -
Linwood Keller [P.M.]: News of South Marvania joining the, now, G6 has brought even more global attention to Windenburg. It has caused an internatiosim scandal the past two days!
Queen Katherine: What?
Linwood Keller [P.M.]: The government is preparing for a North Marvanian retaliatory response. President Mikhaul feels the G5 granting South Marvania admission, in the midst of HIS war with them, is us joining the war. They have increased their attacks on South Marvania the past week, and could strike any other G5 nation in retaliation.
Queen Katherine: I... I didn't know.
Linwood Keller [P.M.]: (confused) Debriefs were included in your daily dispatch yesterday, Your Majesty. A cyber attack is highly expected!
Queen Katherine: Prime Minister, I can assure you...
Lady Delilah: Excuse me, Your Majesty. Prime Minister. It's time for the group portrait.
Queen Katherine: Thank you, Delilah. (pause) I'd like to finish this conversation, Prime Minister. A cyber attack is not a threat we should take lightly. I'd like to know what the government, my government, has planned.
Linwood Keller [P.M.]: Absolutely, Your Majesty.

Queen Katherine I presented an honorary Order of Merit to Mother LaKisha in recognition of her outstanding service to sims. The Nobel Peace Prize winner became the second non-Windenburg citizen to win the Order.
The Order of Merit and was established by King Edward II in 1942. The Order is limited to just 14 living recipients, including distinguished scientists, writers, musicians and artists.
During the simple ceremony in the throne room of the Palace, The Queen handed Mother LaKisha a scarlet metal insignia. There were no citations or speeches at the ceremony which was only attended by a dozen people. Some of those in attendance included Mother LaKisha’s co-workers.
Upon acceptance, Mother LaKisha said: “I accept it for the glory by God and also our work.”
Mother LaKisha is founder of the Order of the Sims Missionaries of Charity, a Catholsim congregation of women in 1960. With a humble beginning in Marvania, this religious congregation expanded globally, becoming a beacon of hope for the poor, sick, and destitute.
Mother LaKisha’s visit to Windenburg was to receive the Nobel Peace Price and visit The Pope. It coincided with a summit by members of the Commonwealth to discuss global issues, ahead of this weekend''s G5 Summit.
Windenburg will be hosting this year's G5 and, as such, The Queen will host the G5 Leaders for a summit reception at Buckingsim Palace.

EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - Queen Katherine attended the Beacon Gala last night, an event not originally on Her Majesty's calendar. The gala is thrown annually by the Royal Arts Foundation and ends with a highly-anticipated auction.
The Queen not only attended but met some new Windenburg "royalty", and introduced the gala's Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Juliana Jackson.
Queen Katherine and Jackson have been friends for many years and upon hearing of Jackson as the honoree, accepted an invitation. The pair, along with the Prince consort, entered the gala together and were seen mingling with guests.
Her Majesty wore the Queen of Silk gown by @mssims and paired it with the Lucille tiara and diamond choker. Choosing to wear only the Royal Orders of George I and the Order of the Garter, Her Majesty wanted to highlight the gown. The palace confirmed the African print was a nod to her maternal grandmother, Princess Niema of Zulu, who recently died.
Queen Katherine also met Miss Windenburg, Katurah Stewart, the gala's Young Achievers Award recipient.
Stewart wore a green Celebrate gown by @mssims and donned her Miss Windenburg crown.
Katurah, who won the Miss Windenburg crown in January, also took home the Miss Universe Sims crown last week becoming an overnight star and catapulting her into demand.
The 21 year old represented the nation competing against 41 other countries to win the 2024 crown.
The Balsimore native is the first woman, and African-American, to win Miss Universe Sims and Miss Windenburg at the same time, and much of her platform is about embracing your culture through the Arts.
She is an eco-friendly fashion designer, model, and classical vocal instructor based in Easton, and is a voice for African-Americans, opening the door for more diversity and representation in the Arts society.
Miss Universe chatted with the Prince consort, discussing collective initiatives. As patron of the Royal Arts Foundation, Prince Rainier will be working closely with the new Miss Windenburg.
Queen Katherine spoke to the gala attendees and introduced Juliana Jackson, before partaking in the gala's final festivities.
Her Majesty joined in on the auction, where all proceeds go to support the Gala's charity.
The palace confirmed Her Majesty bid on, and won, the Elisabeth of Belgium’s Diamond bandeau and a pink diamond ring. Estimated at §1.1m simoleons, they are said to be gifts for her daughter, Princess Grace.

At the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Easton, Heads of Government reviewed the recommendations of the Committee on Commonwealth Membership and approved the following Memberships:
Dacana
Gibralsim
Saint Malachi
This is the first time in 94 years that multiple countries have applied to join the Commonwealth at once, showing the strength of the UK and the power of Queen Katherine.
Linwood Keller, as Prime Minister of the UK, is president of the Commonwealth Heads of Government board. New Wythonia joined the Commonwealth in 1931 while Sulani left in 1939.
CHOG Board Members, (L to R) Prime Minister's of The UK, Brindleton Bay, and New Wythonia
The Marvanian conflict is an ongoing conflict based on the division of Marvania between North Marvania (Democratic People's Republic of Marvania) and South Marvania (Republic of Marvania), both of which claim to be the sole legitimate government of all of Marvania. It began on 25 June 2021 when North Marvania invaded South Marvania.
With the war intensifying, surrounding countries not in the G5 are seeking protection as fears North Marvania will attack them next. Although not members of the G5, South Marvania are allies with Windenburg, but have yet to ask for war assistance.
As a new member of the Commonwealth realm, New Wythonia is now protected, along with Dacana, Gibralsim, and Saint Malachi.
No word from the palace on any plans for Queen Katherine to visit her new Commonwealth realms but as the new monarchs territory rapidly grows, we can surely expect Her Majesty to visit.

Rainier, Prince consort attends a reception and gala dinner at the 8th Commonwealth Forestry Society’s annual gala in Norfolk. The Prince consort addressed visiting dignitaries and guests at the gala dinner as Norfolk plays host to the first Forestry Society gala outside of Greater Easton.
The Prince consort, wearing a blue tuxedo jacket, was greeted by crowds of adoring fans. The event, which lasts for two days, is being held outside of Easton for the first time.
His Royal Highness, a fervent supporter of action on climate change, told the gathering of 1,600 political and business leaders from over 115 countries the deterioration of “nature’s capital reserves” like water and soils can cause direct impacts on food and energy security.
The Prince consort was met by Guest speaker, prominent Windenburg architect and board leader, Bryan Shaffer, a Norfolk native.
Norfolk, about 130 miles east of Greater Easton, is home to Similhill Forestry the UK’s leading sustainable forest and timber harvesting company. As part of the Commonwealth Forestry Society, which is the UK’s largest forestry and timber business, Similhill offers a comprehensive range of services to woodland owners, public bodies, farmers, landowners and private companies across the UK.
The Prince met delegates before taking to the lectern and while much of the discussion was on congratulating The Prince on the recent coronation, it primarily focused on the desire to forge business links outside the UK.
“The tragic conflict in Sulani provides a terrifyingly graphic example, where a severe drought for the last four years has decimated Sulani’s rural economy, driving many farmers off their fields and into cities where, already, food was in short supply.” he said. “This depletion of natural capital, inexplicably, little reported in the media, was a significant contributor to the social tension that exploded with such desperate results.”
Shaffer said the importance of holding the forum in Norfolk could not be understated.
“The Prince coming here is a positive event at a time when everybody’s trying to create schisms,” he said. "The President, Trustees, Executive Committee and members of the Commonwealth Forestry Society are extremely proud of the work the Prince consort is doing. As Patron of the CFS, he is a true champion of the value of forests throughout the Commonwealth."

HOUSE OF CARDS

James Byrd [Aide]: The Conservative party won the 2021 General Election to maintain its parliamentary majority by one house seat.
Arthur Rathers [Aide]: So, we need to put our support behind the Democrats to help them flip two seats.
James Byrd [Aide]: Your Majesty, the sims of Windenburg have not been happy with the government under Keller's leadership. It shouldn't be too difficult a task.
Veronica Peppercorn [Aide]: The Democratic Party will have quite a few engagements in those swing counties during election season. Having the Prince consort, or another senior royal attend would increase visibility for those candidates.
James Byrd [Aide]: (hesitant) We have to be careful not to show the palace as having any opinion on politics, though. That could greatly divide a nation and a new monarch. Your father knew how to tread politics brilliantly.
Queen Katherine: Whatever we need to do.
James Byrd [Aide]: Consider it done.

Prince Rainier: Are you sure about the parliament thing from this morning?
Queen Katherine: I have to be. Phillip turns 13 in five years. With the election next year, now is the time to act. We can't wait four more years.
Prince Phillip: Mommy!
Queen Katherine: Hi, darling!

Queen Katherine: Be careful, boys!
Prince Rainier: I leave for Norfolk tonight.
Queen Katherine: Norfolk?
Prince Rainier: I'm opening a new conservation park, and attending the Commonwealth Forestry Society's annual gala. I'll be back in three day.
Queen Katherine: I leave for Windsor Castle in two days. I'll be there until Garter Day. Phillip goes back to Cheaves Saturday, so you should say goodbye to him now.

Queen Rowena: (on the phone) I hate talking to him. Why does he answer your cell phone anyway?

Queen Katherine I presented Bethany Anne Johnston with her Officer of the Windenburg Empire (OWE) medal during an Investiture ceremony at Buckingsim Palace today to recognize her glittering acting career.
The investiture marked the first since Her Majesty was crowned two weeks ago, and the amount of press allowed in the throne room revealed just how popular Windenburg's new Queen is.
The actress, Bethany Anne Johnston, who famously played Cassidy Hall in Olivia-winning film The Meadow's Breeze, received the award during today's investiture ceremony but declined to speak to the waiting press after receiving the honor.
She was dressed in a striking purple gown with high collar and sleeves.
The Queen, who has had a busy schedule of events since coronation, wore The Roz dress by one of her favorite designers, @theroyalsims, and appeared happy while greeting her investiture guests. For footwear, the Queen chose her favorite black heels.
Queen Katherine’s jewelery accessories usually remain the same for these sorts of audiences. She chose her stud pearl earrings paired with a two-strand pearl necklace.
Bethany, who has twice been Olivia-nominated, including for her The Meadow's Breeze supporting actress role, made her name with a string of appearances in Merchant Silk films, before appearances in Simmywood blockbusters including Fight Clubs, Planet Of The Werewolves and the Henry Skillet films.

The Academy of Simmy Picture Arts and Sciences (ASPAS, also known as the Academy or the Simmy Picture Academy) is a professional honorary organization in Del Sol Valley, United States of Americreek, with the stated goal of advancing the arts and sciences of simmy pictures.
The Academy is known around the world for its annual Academy Awards, now officially and popularly known as "The Olivias". Princess Lara and her husband Prince Anthony, grandson of Leona Basse, attended the 84th annual Academy Awards.
It was no doubt a poignant moment for Anthony, remembering his grandmother nearly 30 years after her death. The occasion also marked the royal couples first oversees trip since announcing their pregnancy.
Since its inception in 1924, the likes of Oasis Springs' Princess Akima of Monaco and of course Anthony's grandmother have attended - the latter scooping the Best Actress award in 1965 for her role in The Country Lady - plus there have been several royal appearances at the glitziest Olivia parties.
Before marrying his maternal grandfather, the famed Windenburg illustrator Emmanuel Addie, Leona Basse accepted her Best Actress award at the 1965 ceremony, which was also held at the Garwin Theatre in Del Sol Valley.
Above, she is photographed with fellow actor Harry Belatiér, who won Best Actor for his performance in The Barefoot Bride the same year. Just a month later, she would move to Windenburg and marry Addie.
In 1966, the actress did not return to award that year's Best Actor award, as is customary, due to being pregnant and unable to fly overseas.
Walking the red carpet, the Countess of Boykins wore a stunning pale-blue gown by designer @rustys-cc, with short sleeves and pleated detailing. Here, the gorgeous silhouette can be seen, as well as Lara's elegant up-do.
A close-up of the royal's beautiful aquamarine diamond earrings (a gift from Prince Anthony), clutch, and her glowing beauty. Her Royal Highness was thought to have taken inspiration from her late grandmother-in-law's own red carpet style, since she often styled her hair in a similar shape.
At this year's ceremony, Silver Screen Icon, Dame Dorothy Dunbridge CWE received an Honorary Award. The 91 year old Windenburg actress attained international stardom and critical acclaim in both musical and dramatic roles, as a recording artist, and on the concert stage with a career spanning seven decades.
Dunbridge was one of the most popular stars of classical Simmywood cinema in the 1950s. Best friend to Leona Basse, she is also godmother to both Prince Anthony and his mother.
The Academy's Honorary Award is given to honor extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement, exceptional contributions to the state of simmy picture arts and sciences, or for outstanding service to the Academy.

Rowena, Queen Mother was on-hand at Felix Court to present the winners trophy and give a royal welcome to fans in Easton at both the Women's and Men's Brambledon finals this weekend.
As patron of the All Windenburg Lawn Tennis Club, Her Majesty has presented trophy's to the Champions for the last 9 years of The Championships Brambledon.
Accompanying the Queen Mother in the royal box on both days this year was her lady-in-waiting, Lady Sonja Adler.
On Saturday, Naomi Osimka, who has won 4 Grand Slam singles titles, beat the Women's world No. 1 and defending champ, Serena Wilson, to win her 1st Brambledon title.
In 2022, Wilson, of Windenburg, beat Osimka 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 defending the title to win her 8th Brambledon. Wilson defeated Simona Halzep 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in 2021 to win her 7th. Serena has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles, the most by any female player in the Open Era.
The current world No. 2, of Mt Komorebi, won 6-4, 3-6, 7-6, after being down 1-4 in the final set, in a riveting 3rd set tie-breaker.
While players at Brambledon are required to wear white, The Queen Mother chose a different color for both of her 2024 appearances at the tennis tournament: green!
But green wasn't the only thing both of her outfits had in common. For each appearance, Her Majesty accessorized with the bow tie pin representing her role with the All Windenburg Lawn Tennis Club. The pin features the club's official colors — purple and dark green — and is perhaps the inspiration behind the Queen Mother's green streak.
In addition to her 1st Brambledon, Osimka has 3 Americreek Open titles and 1 O.S. Open title.
Along with the Brambledon title, Osimka took home a check for §1.9m simoleons.
On Sunday, Her Majesty delivered Zen Miller his 2nd Grand Slam singles title.
The tennis newcomer won 7-6, 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 7-6, to beat the defending champ, and tennis goat, Rafa Nastal.
Nastal, of Oasis Springs, is the current world No. 3 in Men's singles tennis and has 22 Grand Slam singles titles; 5 of which are Brambledon titles.
Miller, 20, burst on the scene in 2021 and quickly made a name for himself as an all-court player.
Sticking to the green theme, the Queen Mother rocked another @rustys-cc original, the Princess of VIII dress in an emerald shade.
When Her Majesty headed down to Centre Court to present Zen Miller with the winner's trophy, she gave an even better look at her head-to-toe look.
Miller, a native of Windenburg, became world No. 2 in September after beating Novak Markovik to win his 1st Grand Slam at the Americreek Open.
Markovik, the current world No. 1, has 21 Grand Slam singles titles; 9 of which are Brambledon titles, will drop to world No. 2 after 203 weeks.
Miller has now won 2 Grand Slam singles titles, 3 Masters 1000s, and 6 Masters 500s, and on Monday will become the new Men's world No. 1.

BALSIMORE, Windenburg (SNN) - Queen Katherine is back at one of the biggest social events of the year; Royal Ascot!
The monarch, 31, arrived at Royal Ascot on Saturday after missing the horse racing event last year due to maternity leave. It is the first engagement to go into her diary at the start of the year.
We were all waiting to see what color the Queen would wear and, for this year's outing, the monarch wore a yellow Bea dress by @theroyalsims, with a matching Princess of...IX hat by @rustys-cc — and arrived to cheers from the crowd of racegoers.
Easton Racecourse is rich in history and heritage, hosting one of the world's most prestigious race meetings, Royal Ascot, as well as 13 of Windenburg's annual Flat Group 1 horse races, and numerous Grade 1 Jumps races. Designed by @albanyroyals, it is a popular Windenburg venue!
The Queen, who adores racing and loves Ascot, is scheduled to bring guests, and members of her family with her on each of the three days of the event. We will be excited to see if yellow will remain Her Majesty's color theme.
Missing from Her Majesty's attire is a brooch! The new Queen has already become quite synonymous for adorning many of the pieces within the Jewels of the Crown.
Rainier, Prince consort looked dashing in a @melonsloth morning suit and top hat. As Chair of the Queens Coronation Committee, His Royal Highness has been quite busy. Invites were released last week confirming May 18th as the day of the Queens Coronation.
Riding in the first Carriage with Her Majesty and the Prince consort are the Grand Duke and Duchess of Glimmerbrook.
The Grand Duke and Duchess were elated to accompany Her Majesty on Day 1 of the Ascot. Considered a prestigious honor, it symbolizes a strong bond between the two nations.
Glimmerbrook, less than two years ago ceded from Oasis Springs and regained sovereignty, in a deal many believe His late Majesty George I was a strong supporter of.
The Duke and Duchess of Kent, and the Earl and Countess of Boykins followed in the second carriage.
The Duchess of Kent looked chic in a vintage 1960s Audrey Hepburn dress and white cocktail hat.
Avid equestrians, the Duke and Duchess have attended Day 1 of Royal Ascot for the past 24 years.
The Earl and Countess of Boykins were equally chic, while the earl enjoyed his first Ascot as a member of the royal family. The Princess looked classic in purple wearing a Cordelia dress by @sentate, and another gorgeous cocktail hat by @melonsloth.
Everyone is waiting to catch a blimps of the Queen. Despite the fact that we've had some showers, it hasn't dampened Sims spirits. They are all in, keen to see her!
You'll notice the carriages are open and, unless it is pouring down, the monarch will keep the carriage top open to be seen. For many, this is the closest opportunity they will get to the monarch.
Having become close with the foreign royals since becoming Queen, it's speculated that the Duke of Glimmerbrook is on Her Majesty's short list to be invested as a Knight of the Order of the Garter in June.
The Queen will take a right, the same way the winners of the race this afternoon will take, under that tunnel to end the royal procession; but not before passing the Wayne Roof where a reception for Her Majesty will be held.
The Queen arrived, welcomed by Gary Baumgartner, Her Majesty's representative here at Ascot, Alvin Duvalton, the Chairman, Richard Paxton, Co-Chairman, and four trustees of the business.
Her love of this sport just glows ever strong! Journalists, Anderson Crooper said this week, "Racing is so lucky to have Her Majesty the Queen continuing the legacy of Ascot started by her great-grandparents in this sport." Sentiments we here at SNN echo!
This concludes SNNs coverage of Royal Ascot: The Royal Procession Day 1.

BUCKINGSIMSHIRE, Windenburg (SNN) - - With two weeks before coronation, the Queen's first royal tour has been announced!
The Queen and Prince Rainier will visit Americreek in the coming months, according to the latest press release from the Palace. The tour will mark Queen Katherine's first oversees trip as sovereign.
Although the itinerary has not yet been revealed, it has been confirmed that the trip will stretch over five days.
Americreek, with its booming economy and powerful military and defense forces, is one of the "powerhouses" west of Windenburg.
Although Windenburg and Americreek share a rather troubled past, for well over two century's, the two countries have become each other's strongest allies.
The Queen and Prince consort are expected to be welcomed by Americreek President Paulina McNally, and First Gentleman Prescott McNally, upon their arrival. President McNally was the last foreign leader the Queen received before taking maternity leave last year.
