1 - do you have any ocs who can't meet, but would be friends if they could?

New Orphidian is a small enough place that in theory anyone could meet (though that won't be happening, rip) so I'm gonna dig into the real box of untouchables which is the ever growing list of "dead before the status quo" characters

which is to say oh my god Domino and Marengo... You only died recently but you could've fixed several people I think. Sorry. You were too powerful...

It's highly unlikely they would've crossed paths with Chrome ever, (since Tabitha lost contact with them years ago) but I think Domino and Chrome could've had fun being gossipy and objectifying men*. She could be like the cool aunt he never had.... And similar with Domino and Selene or Nickel.

(*COULD POTENTIALLY BE BAD FOR CHROME'S LONG-TERM MENTAL HEALTH. THEY'D HAVE FUN THOUGH.)

(Sidenote: sorry this image of selene hanging out with the fence that @samhainian drew in paint kills me every time. everybody say thank you to the fence for stopping this woman from being the absoute most toxic person at the kink bar by dragging her away from anyone who looks like they have low self esteem. Selene is a mess i'll explain her properly someday lol. i like her.)

Unfortunately even outside of the death angle, both Chrome and Nickel would see her as being in age brackets slightly too disparate, given that Domino's children were Tabitha's peers.

Selene could've probably gotten past this though. Selene is maybe the one person Domino would make healthier LOL. Though odds are almost equal that she makes Selene worse. I think it'd entirely depend on if Selene gets a crush on her or not. No I don't know which way around these would go. Selene picks on people pretty badly so a woman who could outmatch her in terms of underhanded cool-headedness would be a challenge.

As for characters who aren't straight up dead. It's a shame that Tabitha and Damon have no reason to ever cross paths harder than walking past each other on the street ever since Damon got demoted from his role in the story, they'd probably enjoy each others company insofar as they'd let each other just sit in silence for hours.

wait i went looking for drawings of damon and i forgot about the way ali will have to interact with His Ward soon. maybe i CAN introduce them to each other....... at least noncanonically..........

OC Interview

I'll answer for Avymere, since I don't think I've really introduced them properly

1. Are you named after anyone?

"I'm the fifth Avymere of the Spearsong family. The first Avymere actually ruled Skysheer as regent briefly and was given the city of Salis as a reward when the Silverwind monarch they ruled for grew up. It's a name with much history attached."

2. When was the last time you cried?

"A few months ago, I was sparring with some of my guards and got kicked in a rather... sensitive area. I held it together until they left, but once I was alone, by the gods, I was on the floor."

3. Do you have kids?

"No, but I suppose I will someday. My father will rule for at least another hundred years, so I have until then to find a partner and produce an heir. By that time, I'll hopefully be a little more eager."

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

"I can't help it in front of the court sometimes, but I think it comes off as too subtle and they usually just assume I'm actually dumb. That's beneficial though, as it helps my disguise. My father always laughs, at least."

5. What's the first thing you notice about people?

"I notice how they're dangerous. A few tell-tale burns let me know that someone is a rune smith. A certain twitch of the hands reads as sorcerer. Fighters are easy - they always stand a certain way when pressed. Even socially dangerous people have their tells."

6. What's your eye colour?

"A pale gray. I wear glasses as well - everyone in my family is terribly nearsighted."

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

"In front of the court, I'd certainly say happy endings, but I don't know, I sort of enjoy the catharsis of fictional terror."

8. Any special talents?

"Other than my fighting skills? I play the piano very well, though I'm a little out of practice. I had more time to play when I was younger."

9. Where were you born?

"In my family's palace, one hundred and thirty three years ago."

10. Do you have any pets?

"My father keeps falcons and sometimes I'll pick one to train, but it's hard to get attached when they die so quickly. I've heard parrots live almost as long as humans, however, it would be cruel to keep a tropical bird so far north. I don't have time for a pet anyhow."

11. What sort of sports do you play?

"I'm an adherent of Talmel Valkys. It's one of the oldest forms of elven martial arts, having been invented back before Nabafyr and Skysheer were even proper nations. While Nabafyr developed many styles of open hand fighting later on, my people frown on physical violence, so Talmel Valkys is one of the only styles to have survived to the modern day here. I've always wanted to travel to Nabafyr and learn some of their styles, through I doubt they'd want a Skysheerian poking around their martial arts, especially when the most renowned styles are passed down family lines exclusively. Oh my, I've been talking for a while, haven't I? My apologies."

12. How tall are you?

"5'8". That's tall for an elf, though I'm only of a middling height when surrounded by humans."

13. What was your favorite subject in school?

"History, of course. It's the story of our world, more incredible and convoluted than any fiction. Every lord must study the victories and mistakes of those who came before them if they want to rule well."

14. What is your dream job?

"Ruling Salis after my father steps down is my sworn duty. It's my purpose as a child of the Spearsong line. ...If I'm being honest though, I've always envied the people who are free to travel. Maybe, in another life, I would've been happy to see the world as a caravan guard. However, this is not another life, so I will wear the mantle I was born to and rule Salis with all the fairness and grace I can manage."

I know, I know. I already asked for a matchup before, but I love your writing too much not to ask for another. I'd actually like for you to ship my OC Saima with someone from Twisted Wonderland if you're cool with it. It's ok if you don't want to also

(it's a unique request.... I'm in 😁. Since they're experimenting with they/them pronouns, I'll use those. Wanna make sure everyone is comfortable. I hope I Characterized them correctly. Characters I almost paired them with; Ruggie, Jack, Silver, Kalim, Floyd. I saw a lot of ways this could go, but in the end... )

I match them with Deuce Spade.

He had a rough past, but he's an absolute sweetheart now. He usually lets Ace have the braincell, so he's not always on top of things, but I feel like that's something both of them can overlook.

Their bond with their sister is something he can relate to, since his entire character arc stems from wanting his mom to be proud of him. He knows the importance of family. He introduces them to his mom early on, and Mama Spade essentially adopts Saima after that.

The story where they burnt the eggs? If Saima ever shares that with Deuce, he will put aside his horror to teach them how to cook them properly. It becomes a bonding experience, where every Saturday they make eggs together in Ramshackle for all their friends.

There's a ridiculous amount of bullies at NRC, but Deuce is ready to protect them no matter what. They may need to remind him to reign it in a little, but his heart's in the right place.

I imagine the two of them cuddling on the couch together, holding hands and swinging them back and forth whenever they walk together anywhere, giving each other soft cheek kisses when they have to be apart. You know? That soft romantic couple that is so sugary sweet, you just want to scoop them both up and squish their cheeks.

Saima, I beg you, draw him a comic of your adventures together. He will melt, and he will show everyone he can. He's so proud of it, it's his new favorite thing.

Deuce liked to walk to class from Ramshackle with Saima. He'd be there, every morning. They'd greet each other with a quick peck on the lips, and a giggly good morning, before holding hands and swinging them back and forth as they walked. Usually, Ace and Jack would meet up with them once they reached the school itself.

"We need a name for when we make egg dishes for people on Saturdays," Saima said. "How about Eggsurday?"

Deuce giggled like a lovesick puppy, which, he essentially was. "What about FEE day? Friends eat eggs?"

Saima giggled back, "that's a good one, what about Deuma day? Or seuce day? You know, cause it's our names."

"I like Deuma Day, cause it's got two d sounds" he grinned, giving Saima an impromptu twirl with their joined hands.

Ace approached, followed closely by Jack.

"What are you love birds talking about?" Ace said with a grin.

"Deuma Day," Saima said simply.

Ace groaned, but it was clear he was hiding a smile, "You two are sickeningly sweet."

Deuce gave a mischievous grin before dipping Saima, and passionately kissing them.

"Ew!" Ace cried as Jack's cheeks turned pink and Saima giggled.

"It's okay Ace," Saima giggled, hugging Deuce tightly, "you'll find your own Deuce someday."

"Gross!" Ace said, making a fake gagging noise, to which Deuce pouted and Jack let out a dry laugh.

It was moments like these that Saima realized how happy and lovely life could be. Even if your best friend is a drama queen.

Wren: by far my most self-insert-iest oc! She's got long white hair and studies magic, very fearful of her own emotions

Creve: he's under a lot of pressure, all the time, to represent his noble family and goes on a big quest where he has to unlearn a lot of false truths. Eternally a bit grumpy, loves lemons, dark hair, dark eyes, and oh yeah did I mention a little cursed? His right hand is covered in black scales

Ascita: grew up amongst the Lunar Wood, they are part of a flying race, something between a phoenix and a harpy--humanoid with the ability to generate wind and wings. Very in tune with nature, people not so much.

Xalory: almost as handsome as he is spoiled. Extraordinarily wealthy, a second son of a powerful merchant house--Relantis--and thinks extremely highly of himself until he's knocked down a few pegs in a scheme gone wrong in his hometown port city
