Guys this AU I literally just created has already infested my brain. I must yap my extremely vague ideas of it.

It’s a horror AU so uh… warning for that kind of stuff? Also another warning for this being the goofiest AU ever (and its still a WIP so a bunch of things could change and I still actually do need to add more- so don’t take any of this as if it’s gonna stay in the AU forever)

Ok so when I normally think about this AU, I think of RPG/Visual Novel-styled games? Or like Undertale? Yk what I mean. I’m taking some inspo off of Mad Father, Mario The Music Box, etc too. So if you see me describing anything like it’s a video game (saying “you as [character]”, etc.) that’s why😭 this most likely won’t be made into an actual game sadly </3

I barely have a plot for it rn, I just know they get teleported to some other dimension thing? and there’s a mansion (obvi) they have to escape ?? But I do know what happens to some characters (Like Amy :D)! I’m thinking of maybe some unexpected ones could team up (because, if you didn’t know, I have a this weird obsession with rare character dynamics and relationships) like Tails and Blaze? Because you barely see them together.

I don’t know all the characters that are gonna be in the AU yet, but I’m thinking of Sonic (WHICH ISN’T DEAD OR EVIL FOR ONCE IN A HORROR AU! LET’S GOOOO!!! He suffers with his friends instead of making them suffer himself), Tails Doll, Amy, Knuckles, Blaze, Silver, Shadow, Rouge, maybe even Cream?

I only have some characters sort of planned, so I’ll be talking abt those.

Sonic:

He cries has a panic attack and a breakdown (all in separate moments) for the first time in a while lmao

Amy:

Here’s Amy!! We all know and prolly love her!<3 They all have different designs in this btw, so-

Anyways, I know at some point she’s left alone, possibly abandoned (that’s what she assumes anyway) in the garden after choices you make as another character(probably Sonic) (jk cs this isn’t a video game but i did explain this at the start), and since I hc her with AMAZING abandonment issues…❤️

Of course there’s monsters and entities in this, so one of them possibly takes control of Amy? Or tries to, until YOU, AS SILVER, GO TO THE GARDEN AND FIND HER!! There, you’re left with a choice (a bunch of stuff happen prior to this btw, this isn’t at the start of the story):

(Also yes that’s a timer, every second the more red and shaky the screen gets lol. Why?? BC ITS COOL AND STRESSFUL) AND YES. THIS MONSTER/ENTITY/THING IS FLOWER THEMED. AMY ROSE-

Ok uh, if Silver does save her (he has to fight obvi, it isnt that easy), he takes her and they escape to another part of the area? Map? Wtv I call it. And when they can finally take a little break for once, they talk (kind of- Amy’s been quiet (traumatized gal)):

So, uh, yeah. Heavy traumatized now so (also a lot more clingy). ANYWAYS, SILVER AND AMY ARE A DUO IN THIS NOW!!<3

I guess he got transported with the others to this dimension. Yeah- he hurts his foot somehow, not sure how yet. Definitely from an entity tho.

First thing he does it try to find if anyone else is here. So… he does just that. He enters the weird giant ahh mansion infront of him and calls out for anyone. He explores a ton, finding important objects, a weird doll that looks oddly familiar which he decides to just ignore and leave there, and also hurts his foot as yk- He does reunite with Blaze for a moment, though they’re immediately separated by obvi another monster.

He gets thrown back outside the mansion, into the garden. In that garden? Well yk what he finds😭

Blaze:

Fun fact: it was this doodle that started this whole thing !!

Also dont have much for Blaze, but she’s the first I doodled so I’ll be trying to make stuff up abt her in this (maybe on the spot even)

She’s confused why she can’t teleport back to Sol or anywhere else. Or why she can’t escape this mansion-place-thing. Actually they’re all confused abt that but wtv- Using her pyrokinesis, she can light torches and other things so she can see in darker areas. She can also just light her hand up too, but this takes energy from her ^_^

At some point, she reunites with Silver!! Then they’re separated by another monster. He was thrown into the garden, while she was thrown into a dark room.

In that room, she finds a doll. It looks a lot like Tails for some reason…?

She’s weirded out and judging it (I would too)

If she grabs it, she notices how real it feels? Like it actually feels like Tails… which is creepy. SUDDENLY IT TRIES ATTACKING HER (LOL?) BUT—

—before she has time to process anything, Tails pushes her out of the way (she notices his ear is missing) and points his arm cannon to…

….whatever that is.

Am I being cringy? Yes. Do i care? …honestly kinda, yeah- but I’m not gonna let myself do anything abt it

I don’t have much else with her. They fight it and become a silly duo and uhhh yeah-

Cream:

No art yet, but she’s definitely appearing now. Uhh I know she find the doll (btw I’m refusing to call it “Tails Doll” bc THEY’RE NOT THE SAME! I PROLLY SHOULDN’T HAVE CHOSEN TAILS THEN BUT IDC..) at some point and it tricks her into thinking it’s good. So like she drags it around while she explores, trying to find Amy or anyone.

Uh

This is a horror AU someone has to die right—

Idk if I’m killing her off or not but I might??

If she doesn’t die then atleast she’ll be dead inside /silly

Tails:

Also no art yet (other than the one with Blaze I already showed), but basically he was with Sonic when they entered. Bunch of stuff in between happen, they get stuck in a room, Sonic watches the monster-thing literally rip Tails’s ear off and make a fking doll out of it bc it was feeling a lil quirky (well they do get quirky at night /ref), Sonic then believes Tails is dead, meanwhile Tails literally tried escaping and ended up all the way on the other end of this giant goofy mansion—

Uh I don’t have anything else oop.

Hero Form Appearance: A combination of an Interdimensional princess’s outfit and YuYuYu’s Hero Form outfits. The undersuit of the outfit is an ivory shade to match white fire, and the main outfit starts out bright purple like a clematis, but becomes dark purple when you reach the lower half of the pants, the lower half of the sleeves, and the tailcoat. Accent colors include white, black, gray, silver, gold, beige, magenta, and crimson. The shoes, gloves, hair tie, and belt all have patterns of clematis flowers on them, and the only other accessory aside from a Tail ribbon (Which looks like the outer ring of a purple clematis flower) is a clematis brooch on Blaze’s left breast. The flower’s petal shape can be seen in the tailcoat, sleeves, and collar.

Bio: A princess charged with guarding the Sol Emeralds, Blaze comes from another dimension. She used to be a bit of a withdrawn loner—it wasn't until she met Sonic and co. that she really opened up. She can brandish fire at will, and she can use the Sol Emeralds to change into Burning Blaze.

Oddly enough i don’t have a lot of head cannons for Sonaze, especially cuz they are my OTP

Here are a few I came up with (might add more later)

Sonze Headcannons

Sonic is one of the few people (or hedgehogs) that is allowed to roam around the Sol Empire’s Imperil Palace. The guards and the palace staff were a bit apprehensive at first, but they just got used to him being around so often. and they would often speculate about what Sonic and Blazes relationship is (not when the princess is around of course)

At the start of there relationship, it would probably be a secret one. Blaze wouldn’t want to her private life to be know to the public, not yet anyway. Sonic doesn’t mind being in the spotlight, but understands and respects her privacy and won’t reveal their relationship to anyone until she is ready

Sonic loves getting flowers for Blaze, he mostly finds ones on his runs, they always end up being a mix of many different types of flowers that he thought looked really cool. Blazes always loves to sit and listen to Sonic tell her about how/and where he found each flower.

A Different Hedgehog: A Shadamy Short Story

After my voting earlier today, Shadamy won the vast majority of the vote! So my short story this week will be about Shadow x Amy, since I already ship Sonic with Blaze.

It was a brisk evening, and the wind was blowing ferociously. Well, at least for the Ultimate Life form! Shadow was standing on top of a bullet train, as the direction of the train was taking him to the direction of his most recent GUN assignment. However, this wasn't fazing him much. He was just standing there, arms crossed, watching the view pass by him. As the bullet train by, he noticed a feeling ruffle his chest fur. Then, to him, the world slowed down. When he looked towards his left, he saw something strange. Sitting in a field of flowers, Amy Rose was looking at an iris, with a sad expression on her face. Shadow was stunned by this, but reality returned to normal speed, as he zoomed right past her. Shadow was beginning to have second thoughts, as he had his mind on the mission, but also on Amy and that sad look on her face. Eventually, he made up his mind.

Shadow then leaped off the train and then zoomed directly towards Amy. Amy was too lost in her thoughts to hear Shadow approach her. "What're you doing with that iris?" a gruff voice said behind Amy's back. This snapped her back into reality, and she turned her head around to see Shadow standing behind her, eyes closed, and his body turned towards her right. "I thought roses were more your thing," Shadow continued. "Nice to see you, too, Shadow," Amy said, in a depressed tone. She turned her attention towards the iris in her hand. Tbh, Shadow was having a hard time trying to think of things to say. He did have a crush on Amy, but he didn't know if she liked him too, since she already had feelings for Sonic, his long-time rival, before she even knew who Shadow was. However, the color of the iris gave him some ideas. "Did that blue faker run from you again?" he asked. "I don't wanna talk about it," Amy said bluntly. "I've already told GUN that I'm gonna be late for work. You can talk to me; I always listen to you." This made Amy tear up a little. "I can't put it into words," she said. Shadow then opened one eye, looking at her. "But I can show you..." She then pulled out her phone, opened it, and gave it to Shadow. He took the phone, and what he saw surprisingly made his blood boil.

Recently, on the main social media app of Mobius, Sonic the Hedgehog himself posted that he was now in a relationship with the princess of the Sol Dimension, a parallel dimension to Mobius, and Sol Emerald Guardian, Blaze the Cat. Like mentioned before, seeing this made Shadow's blood boil, but he kept it in, took a deep breath, and handed Amy's phone back. "You need to forget about him," he said to Amy. Amy looked up at him, taking her phone back. "He never had the same feelings for you as you did for him," Shadow continued. "You gave him your heart, and he then made it his own and gave it to Blaze." "At least he didn't throw it away...," Amy muttered. "Maybe, but he still gave it to another girl," Shadow responded. Not long after, rain began to fall from the sky. "Oh no!" Amy shouted. She then saw Shadow extend his hand to her. "Let's get somewhere warm," he said. She then took his hand. And while holding onto his crush with his left arm, he pulled out the green Chaos Emerald. He then raised it up in the air. "CHAOS CONTROL!!" he shouted. The Emerald then glowed, and in the blink of an eye, the two disappeared.

They then reappeared in front of a hotel. The two went inside. "Where are we?" Amy asked in awe. "This is a GUN protected hotel," Shadow answered. "When you show the room clerk your ID, and they see that you're a GUN agent, you get free lodging, and friends can be vouched as well." Amy then stopped for a split second. "Friends..." she thought. "Am I really only a friend to Shadow, and nothing more?" "You coming, Rose?" Amy then returned to see shadow beckoning her to the front desk. She then sprinted over to him, and Shadow held his ID to the clerk. "Welcome back, Mr. Shadow!" the clerk said. "Here are the rooms that are available." He then handed a tablet to Shadow with all the available rooms. "Which one do you want?" Shadow then looked at the tablet, then turned to Amy. "Which one do you want?" he asked her. She was shocked by this. "You want me to pick?" she asked. Shadow nodded to her. She then looked at the tablet. "How about this one?" she then asked, pointing at one of the rooms on the top-most floor. "Brilliant choice!" the clerk said. "Here's the key to the room." He handed the key to Shadow, who then handed the key to Amy. "You go on ahead," he said. "I've got to give GUN my report for the day." She took the key. "Okay, then," she said, booping him on the nose. "You'd better hurry up, okay?" She then skipped her way to the elevator. That boop on the nose made Shadow blush. "Your girlfriend's a cute one, ain't she?" the clerk said. He then snapped back. "She's not my girlfriend," he snapped at the clerk. He then walked over to one of the chairs in the main lobby. As he walked away, the clerk was looking at Shadow. "Sure, sure...," he said. "Whatever you say, Mr. Ultimate Life Form." He knew.

After his debriefing, Shadow went up to the room Amy picked out. However, she wasn't in the room when he walked in. He was about to go look for her in the hallway until the bathroom door opened and steam poured out. He covered his eyes for a minute, then looked to see Amy walking out in a towel around her waist and in her hair. This made him blush, but Amy didn't notice him until she heard the sound of something hitting the ground, as he dropped the second key that was given to him. When she saw him, she blushed, screamed, and whacked him with her hair towel. She kept on hitting him until he grabbed the towel. After 5 minutes of awkwardness, they sat on separate beds. "I'm sorry about that," Shadow said, breaking the silence while facing the left of the room, as he sat on the left bed with blush still in his cheeks. "It's okay. I accept your apology," Amy responded, still in her towel, with her head turned to the right side of the room, sitting on the right bed, blush also in her cheeks. "Can I ask you something, Shadow?" she then asked, turning her head towards Shadow. He then looked at her. "Go ahead," he answered. "Why are you so nice to me?" Amy asked him. "You're stone cold to almost everyone else out of our friends, but it's like you're soft towards me." This made Shadow blush, and he then averted his gaze from Amy. "You're always so nice to me," Amy continued. "...helping me out, and giving gifts to me, and it makes me curious. Why?" Shadow knew he couldn't hold it in anymore, so he got up from his bed, and looked at Amy in the eyes. "It's because I like you!" he shouted.

This shocked Amy! She didn't expect the Ultimate Life Form, the coldest person on Mobius, to shout that he liked her. "You what?!" Amy was flabbergasted. She recently got her heart unintentionally broken by Sonic, and now another guy confessed to her? What was going on? Well, I know what. Shadow then told Amy everything from how much he liked her, to how he got angry seeing that Sonic was now dating Blaze, to even the silly accidents they just had. Amy was getting so confused that she collapsed on her bed, face red and spirals in her eyes.

When she came to, she saw Shadow directly on top of her, basically pinning her down. This made her blush even more. "Shadow, what are you..?" She didn't finish, because not long after, Shadow pressed his lips to Amelia Rose's lips, and all she could hear was his heart beating and the rain pouring down. She eventually decided to kiss him back. After 30 seconds, they separated. "You know what?" Amy asked. "What?" "I like you, too. Or should I say, I LOVE you, too?" Shadow then smirked. "Well then, I should say that I love you, my special Rose." They then kissed again. "So," Shadow began to ask. "Would you be willing to go out with me?" Amy gave him the same smirk that he was giving her. "Yes, I would," she answered. And then, they pressed for another kiss.

When the sun shone through the window, Shadow was the first to wake up, fixing some coffee from the coffee pot in their room. This woke Amy up. "Good morning, honey," she said in a flirtatious tone. Shadow then turned to look at her. "And a good morning to you too, Rosie," Shadow said. Amy blushed when she heard his new nickname for his new girlfriend. "Would you like some breakfast?" he asked. She got up from the bed, in her fresh new PJs, and taking a cup of coffee from her boyfriend. "I would like that very much," she said. And then, they walked their way to the elevator. "How do you like that, you damn faker?!" Shadow thought, implications towards Sonic. After breakfast, they left the hotel, only to see a familiar white hedgehog walking down the street. "Hi, Silver!" Amy shouted. A pair of yellow eyes turned towards the two.

Since you asked a name, I think they could go by Starshine Drop

Star, from "Sun" since we have some being related to sun in some way (Blaze from the Sol Empire, Trip a SUNgazer, Sonar a Fennec, which is an animal that lives in deserts iirc) and many who are such a sunshine of person (Tikal, Amy herself of course, Gold)

"Why not 'sunshine' then?" well, it's a weird reasoning of mine, but I get that "I am the star of this show" vibes from Surge, Honey and Undina and stars is more treated as a synonymous to grandeur these days than sun, which many times get used to convey the vibes of coziness (if it makes sense)

Drop in reference to Disney's Tangled... Yeah, that's the full length of it hahaha, the Sun Drop flower that gives Rapunzel's powers

Now some additional info because I have ZERO self-control: Since somebody brought up the time Mimic jumped on Gala's head disguised as Sonic, they hate Mimic, very much thanks to the very protective attitude from the Amycule towards each other, each member separately doesn't have that big problem with Mimic despite everything, Starshine tho, can't stand the sight of this octopus

Also, they refer to themself as "We" and they're 10 meters tall

Imagine Mimic being punched by a 10 meters gal, he would be squashed on the ground like Bluebird was by Alexandrite haha

Hmmm. Name doesn’t really fit with the Sonic style, but it also makes sense for this fusion.

In the second set, Evy's hair is now died pink and cut in a triple mohawk. She also green vine tattoos patterning her skin. The top design has her wearing an open green vest over a loose pink dress. On top of the vest she has black shoulder pads with white, thorn-like spikes. Similarly spiked black bands surround her wrists and ankles, as well as crossing her waist like bandolier belts. She wears green gloves and boots; the boots have spiked bottoms, like cleats.

In the bottom design, the gas mask has been swapped for black glasses, revealing the green vine tattoos on her face. She retains the vest and spiked shoulder pads, but the dress has been swapped out for a baggy black shirt over flared pink sleeves and pants. She still wears green, spiked shoes, but they are no longer heeled boots. /end ID]

When creating my Blaze-focused Sonic Prime AU (more on that in a bit), I took the time to finally take a swing at a design for the Sol Dimension Egg(wo)man I've been contemplating for a while now. I've always been annoyed we've never gotten any female Sol Dimension villains, even though by all rights there should be an abundance of them. Sonic and Tails each get female counterparts with unique designs, personalities, and relationship dynamics, but when it comes to Eggman we get... a palette swap? who isn't even actually from the Sol Dimension?? hello???

I'm still working out her design and personality, but these are some of the concepts I've drawn up so far. the points I am settled on are that she's a rotund older woman with plant-theming. her birth name is Evy Munanev; her villain title is either Dr. Rotbane or Dr. Rotbloom, I haven't decided.

so. Solegg. my first order of business was swapping out the Egg for something different but adjacent. I picked a seed, which ended up being more of a general plant-theming. I think it could make a nice counterpoint to Eggman's primarily animal-themed robots.

I specifically modeled her after the corpse flower - or rather, corpse flowers, since apparently there are two notable flowers called that, the titan arum and the giant padma. Both are found in Indonesia, fittingly enough, since that's usually the real-world analog I draw on for Blaze's homeland. The top design in the first image is based on the titan arum, while the design at the bottom is based on the giant padma.

for the other elements of her design, I tried matching it to Blaze the same way Eggman's design matches Sonic's. Like how Eggman's primary color is one of Sonic's secondaries (red), Rotbane's primary color comes from Blaze's pink secondaries. Black is her secondary color, same as Eggman, because y'know. Villains.

Finally, the name. As far as Eggman's "real" name goes, the -nik suffix is Slavic/Russian, while Robotnik in particular is a Slavic (specifically Polish) term. apparently. his first name, Ivo, is used in a lot of languages, but if cross-referencing with his relatives, Gerald and Maria, narrows it down to German or Dutch. that said, according to the Sonic wiki the name "Ivo" actually came from a developer's sister's Croatin boyfriend, so. that's a thing. the other factors in the name selection were that it sounds kinda like "evil", as well as being the Latin word for eggs spelled backward.

All that said! I made the Solegg Dutch because of the Indonesia connection. I went with the Dutch name Evy because it also sounds like evil, plus bears some resemblance to ivy. I gave her the last name Munanev, which is venenum (Latin for poison or venom) backwards.

finally, I picked Rotbane as her nickname because it sounds cool, reflects the plant-theming, and has some of the same punchiness as Eggman. I'm also considering Rotbloom, haven't decided yet.

This makes me remember when pucca [original in japan] it was clear that garu had a thing for her and they already are dating [like one short when they kissed behind a umbrella or when garu gives puca a ring or flowers] but he is not as clingy as pucca.

But when america put their hands on pucca, they make pucca much more clingy and garu feeling unconfortable and even despise some touch from her when in the original pucca garu was like more shy than unconfortable. Even in the america seried they make garu try to make pucca fall in love with another man so he can finally be in peace, when in the original pucca (japan) is more open about his feelings for her and doesnt deny his love for her, even if she is so clingy.

I am saying this because this is literally what is happening with the sonic franchise. The american company changed many personality trails of many of the characters of sonic and sonic himself that many plot holes are in the stories and games. Is like they dont make research for how the characters and world works and just put their guesses into them, not realizing how many plot problems will lead. (Like in IDW comics in how in the hell blaze can bring her sol esmerals into sonics world when basically the plot of sonics rush is that the chaos esmerals and the son esmerals cant exits in a same universe)

From some slight research, since I have not seen the show myself, this show is from South Korea, not Japan. Also with brief researching, it seems that even if this character, Garu, kissed Pucca, it was for the purpose of restoring her memory and there was no clear announcement that he likes her back, just speculations people can make from this scene happening or from him trying to be considerate for her feelings sometimes. It seems that there is no clear indication of the two liking each other, especially since Garu tries to escape Pucca's romantic advances when he can. But, I don't know anything of the series, so I can't make a judgement on whether what you're saying is correct or not. Either way, the general concept is the same if it is like you're saying.

It is true that since Western influence become more involved with the series, things have gone more haywire within the series. Many plot holes appear, like the one you brought up. Other plot holes have also happened, like the characterizations of characters or plot points that make no sense. This is happening on both the English and Japanese side of things because the Japanese get influenced by the English's mindset on things. This shouldn't be a problem within the company because they should be going to their executives for direction, but these employees who are just putting in whatever they want without doing the research to things, are not doing that for things to be consistent and made with quality. It is an issue and it's understandable if it makes one feel uncomfortable or weird because of how ridiculous it is. This is not an issue for other game companies who have employees who do what their job entails and listens to their superiors, so this behavior is quite outrageous. They're not supposed to be doing whatever they think they can do or listen to the fans' every whims. That's not how a company works and this company doesn't belong to them to do whatever they wish with it. And when they do whatever they wish, it creates issues like this in the lore and stories that ends up lowering the quality of the games/medias significantly.

These issues aren't due to the company, they're due to specific arrogant employees who think they know better. If they listened to their superiors, then Sonic games would be on the same quality as other SEGA titles, such as Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, Unicorn Overlord, Persona 3 Reload and now Metaphor: ReFantazio. These are all games from SEGA that have done well in some manner and are across two different branches in SEGA. If these games are doing well and have quality to them after listening to the direction of the company for the product, then what is the issue with the Sonic branch? Why isn't the mascot for the company on the same quality as these games? And the answer to that is as I've said. It's due to these employees who think they know better despite researching nothing and who try to implement things like fan interpretation or personal desires instead of listening to the direction of the company for the series that belongs to the company, not them or the fans. They act as if they own the series and that they or the fans know better, but that is not true. The series doesn't belong to these employees, it belongs to the company and the company should be the ones to decide how things go in the series, not these employees. I'm sure that if the employees listened to the company's direction like the other branches did for their games, the Sonic branch would be in a much better state than it is now with less plot holes or other confusing inconsistencies. It's quite a mess they've created from being like this and doing all of these things with the series. Because of their actions, now there are things that make no sense and have no explanations.
