So I have a silly little Sonic AU idea for you

The Biolizard merges with Sonic as a last ditch effort to defeat the heroes and it starts to go in it's favor, at first only for Sonic's friends to pull Sonic back in control.

And Sonic is now a fusion of the Biolizard and a hedgehog and the man is H U G E now

OOOO!!! Okay, this is a really cool idea! If the Biolizard can merge with the arc, why not with living things? Oh man, it's like a possession story line almost and I LOVE those.

Sonic just getting forced out of control and instead he's got this angry lizard rage monster parading around with his face. And this means Shadow's gonna have to fight him all by himself until the others can find a way to get through to Sonic! AND ALL WHILE THE ARK IS STILL HURTLING TOWARDS EARTH OH MY GOODNESS.

The Biolizard was pulling the Ark towards Earth, right? Does that imply it can . . . fly? Kinda? Does that mean once Sonic's back in control, he can just push the Ark back to a stable orbit and we don't need to worry about Shadow falling? Eh, even if I'm wrong, we can just say the fusion mutations gave Soniclizard wings an call it good.

WAIT A SECOND THE FUSION WOULD HAPPEN WHILE SONIC WAS SUPER SO WE'VE GOT SUPER SONICLIZARD ON OUR HANDS GUYS. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

But also in the aftermath, being massive wouldn't be the only thing that Sonic would have to worry about. Biolizard is on life support which means Soniclizard has to deal with all of that too. :( Poor boy.

Imagine the Biolizard just becomes like Soniclizard's hulk form. If he gets too angry, the angry lizzard monster takes over and just starts wrecking things.

Shadow: If I had a nickel for every time a giant, highly aggressive lizard who’s technically my older brother tried to pick me up by his jaws and put me in a poorly made nest consisting of stolen mattresses, pillows, and blankets, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened more than once.

The ARK incident still happened however the prototype and final ultimate lifeform was swapped.

Bios is the perfected ultimate life form, essentially Swapping Shadow and the biolizards places, Bios is gruff and stern like shadow however they have become more appreciative of the natural beauty of the world making them a solid ally to Team Sonic.

As for Shadow they are the prototype and require the advanced life support systems only available on the Ark, both greatly miss Maria and have a section of the station converted to a memorial shrine.

Shadow! My boy! His design is really fun and interesting to mess with! My main inspirations were Black Doom, the Black Arms race, Eclipse the Darkling, Prime!Shadow, Boom!Shadow, Kabuki Makeup, and Shooting Stars/Starbursts! His jacket was inspired by a few different leather jackets that I found on Pinterest. His shoes are a combination of his movie counterpart and modern counterpart. And I didn't change his gloves, just added black palms that wrap around his wrist like his shoes :3

For his Chaos Spear I tried a bunch of different shapes before settling on this one! The shape at the end kinda reminds me of the Black Doom symbol, but smoothed down? I imagine that's Shadow's doing, whether consciously or subconsciously. I imagine the spear can also turn into other weapons! Like a Lance, Sword, Gun, Bow + Arrow, etc. He's just more proficient with a spear :3

In this AU, Shadow isn't just made up of Hedgehog and Black Arms DNA, he's also got Lizard, Porcupine, and Cat DNA! Lizard because Shadow is related to the Biolizard. Cat because Blaze was originally going to be in Shadow's place and I wanted to make a reference to that. And Porcupine because I want Shadow to be able to use his quils as Chaos infused projectiles and I'm pretty sure Hedgehogs can't do that? I mean Porcupines can't just launch their quils at predators from a distance, but hey, Sonic is an anthropomorphic Hedgehog with super speed, I think I can get away with Shadow launching Chaos infused quils at his enemies :/

If I do another one of these I'll probably do Sonic or Eclipse! Sonic because he's the main character and Eclipse because they're brothers! Honestly, I think Eclipse deserves more love :3

Lord Needlemouse is a very lonely fellow. Which is why he stole all the Shadow androids and keeps them as his sons, friends, army.

Ivo is a very kind kid. He has a love for earth and all its inhabitants.

Shadow sees a lot of Maria in Ivo. So much so it hurts at times. But it’s comforting in another way. Shadow feels like Ivo is a sorta second chance for him.

Ivo does like eggs.

Needlemouse’s real name is Sonic. But after Ivo started calling him Needlemouse as a taunt, he’s kinda accepted it. He actually liked the taunting name. He thinks it’s cool and kinda menacing sounding.

Needlemouse has given each of his stolen shadow androids a nickname.

Needlemouse is a very chaos evil fella. Despite this most of his plans are rarely all the way thought through. He usually acts upon a vaguely evil idea, things happen, and he takes full credit for everything that unfolds.

Ivo is 15, while Needlemouse is in his 30’s.

Amy called Needlemouse an old fart once. It was the biggest insult he’s ever experienced.

Ivo can tell Needlemouse is a lonely guy, and tries to convince him to stop being evil and join him and his friends. Needlemouse always declines the offers.

Ivo can’t go super. But he can use the power of the emeralds. He doesn’t enter a super form when he does. But he does get the ability to levitate and invincibility, and an aura around him.

Needlemouse can go super. And he does for rare occasions. An example of him going super would be at the end of SA2. Here, Ivo and Shadow are the duo to face off against the biolizard with the emeralds power. But after defeating it, Ivo’s power faded, and he started to fall to Earth. Shadow caught him, but was losing his super form. It was Needlemouse in his super form that saved the two of them.

I just got a sick idea for an AU:

TW// child abandonment, neglect, abuse, trafficking, mistreatment and homelessness first and foremost, stay safe y'all

Sonic being an orphan is adopted by his uncle Chuck, uncle Chuck makes weapons for some shady people (same ppl who killed Sonic's dad)

Chuck gets arrested over that

and Sonic finds himself used by G.U.N. as a child agent/assassin

Tails, Him and Amy are all 3 part of the same sector

Shadow, Rouge and Omega, part of a diff one

G.U.N. also isn't allowed to do this for obvious reason, but by covering up the fact they use kids as living weapons, manage to get away w it

Sonic was 9 when he got picked up by G.U.N, and is 15 during the AU

Tails is still 8, Amy 14.

as I said, only Sonic's dad got killed, his mom abandoned him, Chuck decided to adopt him when he found out

Tails was abandoned by his parent aged 4, he was put in an orphanage but was mistreated both by staff and other kids so he ran away when he was 5-6

he was homeless during some time but was picked up by G.U.N a bit later

Amy on the other hand was in a bad home, her parents didn't care for her and hurt her so she ran away (aged 12) just found herself living in the streets

once again, G.U.N took advantage of that and 'recruited' her

This is kinda the same also for Rouge, who was recruited aged 12, and is 18 atm. She knows sonic very well since they joined at the same time

Shadow has a similar backstory as in canon, created as a living weapon and all that jazz

same with omega

except shadow never died and the whole biolizard thing never happened

Not sure what role Eggman would have in all this, haven't thought of it just yet

This AU doesn't have a name yet though so I'm taking suggestions!! And feel free to discuss this in the replies or by sending me an ask, I'd love to hear your thoughts or to improve on the story via other people's opinions :]

Soniclizard probably would need Shadow to keep an eye on him in the beginning as the two are now kinda related and Sonic is most definitely not in a good headspace in the beginning after the Biolizard merged with him and the whole fight

Poor Sonic is just so shaken. He's got a new body and he's sharing his brain with an angry lizard. I think he also gets flashes of memory sometimes too, from the Biolizard. Not sure how conscious it was on the Ark and for how long, but it's probably got some traumatic memories. :( Shadow's gonna need to support Soniclizard as he's adjusting.

Though with Sonic merging with the Biolizard, that means he's got some Ultimate Lifeform in him now, so that'll be fun!

. . . Gives a whole new meaning to that one line of Shadow's, doesn't it? "Sonic. I think I might know what the Ultimate Lifeform is! It might be you!"
