"Its science" gosh he is so irresponsible. just burning through his test subjects, literally. no sense of ethics or safety! as someone who works in research the level of disregard is crazy! he didnt even write anything down! you cant just set people on fire and then say "interesting" and then call it science.

You’re not sure what you had expected and still you’re taken by surprise at the devastation a single insect causes.

Spreading from the impact spot on the girl’s chest, flames spring up and engulf the small figure, making the skin crackle and clothes melt. The worst part is the scream: the high pitched wail has turned into whimpers but even that is changing as you watch in horror. It’s becoming guttural. Gravelly.

“What a shame,” Giovanni’s voice tuts from somewhere behind you, “I always hope it’s the one. Always wish for the spark.”

Always…how many? “You’re insane.”

“It’s science,” he dismisses you.

My Project Org Editor 2024 Round 6 AMV/MMV!

I edited a Detective Conan video for every preliminary round of POE, but it took until this final round to finally make a blorbo AMV (something I'd been meaning to do since Round 3, but I somehow always ended up with another idea instead). With the theme of "Aliens, Time-Travelers, and Espers," and the goal being to edit a video focused on the "bizarre and supernatural," I knew I couldn't not follow through with a Heiji fancam, given all his "monster" cases.

(And hey, maybe there's also something a bit "supernatural" about Shinichi's predicament as Conan, too—and Heiji is always there to help him with that.)

POE is a timed challenge with only one week per theme, so on and off the last few months, I continued working on this AMV, trying desperately to turn the mess I submitted into something I'm actually proud of. And I think I succeeded! I hope this is a huge improvement, and I'm very excited to finally share my polished-up rendition.

Her eyebrows furrowed in concern, but she could read the room, holding her tongue as he shifted while her gaze followed. She wasn't sure what would have prompted this, but she didn't have enough time to contemplate it, instead being offered a proposition of her own.

Bounty work? Of all things?

It wasn't what she would have expected from the Dragonblood, nor was it work she actively sought. While there were some targets that made sense to go after...many fell in a grey area, one that she couldn't discern. If it were solely up to her she would have refused, not wanting to cross that line...

...Yet, why would he?

Her eyes closed, a gloved hand raising to her temple as another rested on her hip, trying to think.

Since, however, it was originally conceived for Sparkstember, I will shamelessly share it again. And after all, nothing could be more exotic than our heroes standing on Brighton pier in their swimwear. 😂

[R/n, Belial and Riku are all in a panic when Isla goes missing at first they assumed someone took her when they got distracted, Isla being a child of Ultraman Belial the ex-darklord with reiblood genes flowing through his veins and R/n the last confirmed living frost giant makes her a high-priority target for traffickers. So yeah, her family was understandably freaking out!

After hours of searching the amusement park they were in, Riku went to search the arcade Isla went missing in one more time and found his baby sister sleeping in giant stuffed toy claw machine she'd somehow crawled into without them noticing. Needless to say, everyone was relieved. 21 radios Neos to call off the search.]

21: Bundle recovered.

Neos, bemused: What?

21: Ducks in a row.

Neos, still confused: What??

21: Peas in a pod.

Neos: What???

21: We found the kid!

Neos: Well why didn't you say so?

unlike all the other times she’s approached lukas, there's now a knot of apprehension tightening in her stomach at the sight of him.

guilt lingers, knowing her faith in him had wavered, even if just for a moment, when he’d been nothing but supportive and accepting. for all her fears of judgment—of what he and laslow might think after seeing her memories— well. had she not done the very thing she dreaded? had she not assumed she would be disappointed in him?

in the end, she wasn’t.

dorothea stands before him. though she'd like nothing more than to look away, she forces herself to meet his gaze. "to think we knew so little about each other, in hindsight," she starts slowly. "i hadn’t realized we’d never spoken of our pasts before. and yet, it feels like i’ve known you for years now. strange, isn’t it?"

a sigh escapes.

"i’m not entirely sure where i’m going with this. honestly, it still feels like i’m processing things." whether she realizes it or not, her hands twist nervously. "but i guess i can start with thanking you. you’ve always believed in me, lukas, even when others haven’t. i want you to know that i believe in you, too. you’ve shown me i wasn’t wrong to trust you. can’t say that about most people i meet."

He lets her decide if she wishes to approach.

Lukas can only imagine that she has questions, even if she doesn't end up voicing them here. When you are forced to relive a horror of your past, and see another's tragedy play out before you as well, it's something else to learn that someone you travel with and have put your trust into is responsible for putting so many others into a traumatic experience.

He may not have killed any of those people that day, but Lukas wouldn't have hesitated if it meant securing the Deliverance's safety out of the castle. Innocent Rigelian blood may not have stained his hands, but the converging ghost of it would forever follow him.

Knowing that he would have, knowing that others looked at him and saw nothing but cold, hard stone for being capable of it.

"...I understand what you mean. It's only been a short time, all things considered, but you have become quite dear to me in that span."

It was true. Dorothea had so quickly entered his life and made herself comfortable within it. He wanted only for her to be safe and content, to live her life as she saw fit. They came from different places, had experienced different things, but Lukas felt a kinship with her that he treasured. While he had spoken calmly on the memories Pasithee had brought up, and they themselves did not touch him as Dorothea and Laslow's had clearly affected them, he had explained himself with the understanding that they both might distrust or otherwise distance themselves from him.

Their memories had been something terrible forced upon them, whereas his were all of his own actions.

So he is, truthfully, a little caught off guard by her words -- though the slight surprise is smoothed over by something warmer.

"I am honored to have your trust, Dorothea," he says, and there is a depth to the simple words that only just touches upon the surface of it all. "It was...a lot to go through, both to live again and see for the first time. I realize that what you saw from my past was different to what I saw from yours. Whatever apprehension you felt was wise; we're still getting to know one another, after all."

He smiles at her, soft but tinged with pride.

"I do not think there is anything that could shake my faith in you, so consider me at your side always, unless you should dismiss me." Lukas gives her a proper bow, hand over his heart. "And should you ever wish to speak on what we were shown in that place, know that I will hide nothing from you and that I am always willing to listen."

Did a video on Dragon Ball Sparking Zero finally! My main "issue" with it is we don't have enough goofy characters, so here's 10 goofy characters I'd like in the game! Even if you're not interested in the game, there's plenty of Dragon Ball talk in general.
