Gathering notes on Springpuppy AU Springtrap's appearance in one place.

Both of his ears are broken. The right one obviously as half of it is gone. The left one is intact but won't stay centered in its track. It can move to emote but at rest stays flopped to the side.

The left eye has lost its colored lens. The right eye still has the green lens, but it's faded and cracked. The lights still function and shine eerily in the dark.

The metal structure of his right leg is damaged, and he can't remain standing for long and can only perform a lurching, limping walk for a few feet. He opts to crawls on on fours most of the time.

He's in pain, but much of the time it feels sort of distant. It's the background noise of his body until something brings it into focus.

The human part of his body can't seem to decide if it's dead or not. It appears partially mummified but is soft to the touch. His flesh has a strange purple hue.

Some of his organs still function and others don't. His lungs inflate even though they're clearly punctured. Sometimes his heart beats.

He can feel with his animatronic parts. Whether it's real or in his head doesn't really matter. His ears and eyelids will move in response to his thoughts and emotions.

His human eyes are blind. He sees through Bonnie's eyes.

He doesn't bleed. He doesn't rot anymore. Some of his teeth have fallen out. Some that remain are broken. The ones still intact are surprisingly strong.

The Spring Bonnie programming "woke" first, activated by the sound of music and following its typical response to move towards it, apparently even through the ventilation. Afton's consciousness began waking while crawling through the ductwork.

It took much longer for his mind to fully recover and present itself (the actual brain having suffered at least some decay). He was slow to regain most of his memories, his brain prioritizing the Bonnie-related ones as that's who he believed he was.

He can't speak due to damage to his vocal chords from the spring locks and general decay and disuse. He can grunt, whine, and make raspy, metallic wheezes and screeches.

He doesn't have as much of his corpse exposed as canon Springtrap. The metal exoskeleton penetrating it at multiple points obscures it unless you're looking closely, and the tatters in the fur and gaps in the plastic shell of the Bonnie suit don't always or completely overlap.

His limbs and appendages especially aren't nearly as exposed, with most of the fur and shell intact on them, aside from the damage to the exoskeleton of his right leg.

The largest exposed areas are on his right shin, the left side of his chest, and the back of his neck where the head and torso of the suit meet.

The gloves and feet of the Spring Bonnie suit contain no exoskeleton parts, just wire mesh to retain their shape. They can be removed.

Harlan attempts over time to clean and cosmetically repair the suit though their knowledge and skills are limited. They attach buttons to keep the fur closed over the gap in his chest so his heart isn't constantly exposed. They replace his lost bow tie with a large purple ribbon. They also initially tucked car air fresheners into the gaps in the suit because while he's no longer actively rotting, the smell clung to him for quite a while.

They work as the nightguard for a Fazbear Entertainment storage facility, and it's rare they see anything on the cameras that leads them to actually leave their office. They can't imagine anyone would break into this dump.

And, to be fair, no one's trying to break in.

Three-part commission by my beloved @delena-hupp of my FNAFsona/OC(s)! I'm so, so happy with how these came out, I've been looking at them every day. A little infodump:

1) Recently relocated from out-of-state (WAY out-of-state), Harlan Baxter works as overnight security for a Fazbear Entertainment storage facility. It's tiring, isolating work, but they do enjoy getting to browse through all the Bonnie memorabilia. The Bonnie line was always their favorite.

2) Bandit was a character conceived as a minor antagonist for Foxy's Wild West area of the Pizzaplex but was abandoned along with construction of the attraction. No animatronic models were ever made, only concept and key art and a cloth mascot suit buried in storage. Rumors abound on Fazbear fan forums that you can find some images of them hidden in the boarded off log flume area.

3) With no social life but plenty of bills to pay, Harlan doesn't put up a fight when they're called to cover shifts at other FE locations, including restaurants. It's typically security work, but they can be convinced with the promise of payment under the table to help with the entertainment as well. They don't normally like being the center of attention, but something about wearing a mask makes it easier, even fun. They're getting pretty attached to the Bandit jackalope suit they dug out of mothballs to wear.

IT'S BOBERT 🎉

Another FNAF OC commission by my beloved @delena-hupp! Bobert (Robert, but no one's calling him that anymore) works as an attendant in the East Arcade at the Pizzaplex. He actually really likes his job and only wastes some of his paycheck on the crane games there. In his free time he makes music, takes every dance class the community center offers, and writes sometimes very explicit Godzilla fanfiction. He's a very sweet and friendly but tries to keep a professional distance with most people. Except that one weird and honestly pretty unpleasant security guard that lurks around Bonnie Bowl before their shift. For some reason. But that's for him and his therapist to unpack.

A playful Bandit commissioned from Icy (@an-icyhot)! They were a pleasure to work with.

My fnafsona comes in a few flavors:

1) Night guard

2) The same person but in a mascot costume

3) The franchise character that costume is based on

How I reconcile the first two is that Night Guard's usual job is the overnight shift at a storage facility housing various animatronics, costumes, props, merchandise, and memorabilia, and sometimes they're called in for day shifts on the weekends when they're short-staffed or overbooked at other FE locations. And sometimes instead of security, they're made to wear a costume to entertain customers. They're paid under the table for this, so it's whatever. And dressing up as a jackalope is awakening some shit, so bonus?

The jackalope character (Bandit) was a concept for Foxy's Western-themed area of the Pizzaplex, but it didn't get far into development before that section was closed and revamped for Roxy. It never got a proper animatronic model.

There are other details about the setting and history of Fazbear Ent., but I'm honestly kinda mad at myself for even knowing it, so we don't have to get into that now.
