Prompt #6: Ring
Character: Sayuri Aoki
Age: 22
His gaze immediately locked atop the Seeker sat where he was used to seeing a Midlander, eyes narrowed. The icy, mismatched eyes of the Miqo’te had briefly left the paper she had been scribbling on, an unamused stare being sent his way as he made his way further into the office, shortly followed by a Raen he was not all too familiar with.
“Lady Aoki.” He uttered.
A bitter expression was quick to take to the woman’s features as her name was spoken, swiftly sinking into a disgruntled scowl.
“Touji.” His name left her lips curtly, making him loft a brow.
“Are we on a first-name basis, Sayuri?”
The Seeker exhaled sharply, the brush in her hand slowly being settled down on her desk. His presence clearly irked her, even if she was commonly known to be in a perpetually poor mood.
“What does the Sekiseigumi want?” She snapped. “Or is it simply you?”
“Sekiseigumi business, I’m afraid.” He lofted a brow. “An associate of yours was found dead, this morning.”
Touji carefully observed Sayuri’s uncaring expression, the only thing changing being a slightly lofted brow. It certainly wasn’t news to her, as he suspected. His gaze briefly shifted to the contents upon her desk, offering a slow blink as he only now realised what laid upon it - quite openly.
A steel ring, decorated with an orange stone and matching Hingan symbols carved into its sides; an exact match of the one thing that had been reported missing from Kaito’s body. Bloodstained, the crimson hue clinging to it a mere few bells old.
His gaze lift back up to meet Sayuri’s, her own having followed his to the ring before rising back up to lock in his. A frown settled on his features.
“.. I see you already know.” He spoke curtly. “Did you do it yourself, or did one of your lackeys do it? Or are you simply in the habit of collecting valuables off corpses?”
“I gave the order.” Sayuri confirmed. “With good reason.”
“Good reason?” Touji scoffed. “You’re in a bloody criminal sect, don’t make me laugh.”
The Seeker leaned back, pulling out a drawer of her desk and collecting a stack of papers before leaning over her desk - dropping them atop the platform she sat on for Touji to reach for.
“I am. Ironic that I did the job you should have, hm?”
Touji warily collected the papers, flickering through them - eyes widening with mild horror at the words he caught.
“..What in the name of the Kami..?”
“Proof that he wasn’t as bloody innocent as you think he was.” Her words were hissed, her tail swatting behind her irritably. “I may be a criminal, but I do not allow my people, or associates, to delve into slavery. Kaito was given a warning to cease his newfound hobby, and he didn’t.”
He didn’t want to believe her, but the evidence in his hands.. Made it hard not to. It could be fabricated, of course.. She had the means to do such. Noting his hesitance, Sayuri leaned back, settling her arms upon her desk.
“By all means, follow the trail yourself. Conduct your own investigation, if you must. And if you are still not convinced at the end of it, you know where to find me.” Sayuri’s hand gestured around the room. “I am not going anywhere.”
Touji felt his frustration rise, the damning evidence in his hands was too much to simply ignore - but Sayuri was being insufferably confident in that he’d simply follow the trail she had left for him.
“I will conduct my own investigation.” He warned. “And when I find out the truth, you can expect another visit.”
“Your visit better involve a bloody apology for interrupting my morning.” She quipped. “Now, if that’s all?”
He exhaled sharply through his nose, turning on his heels to head for the door - which the Raen promptly opened to let him slip through before offering Sayuri a bow and exiting himself, shutting the door behind them.
He wasn’t sure who was the most irritable leader of the criminal ring he had encountered - the previous one, Hayate, or the current one. He certainly didn’t like either of them.

Introduction to Stainless Steel Tubes in Guinea’s Industrial Growth
Guinea, rich in natural resources and with a burgeoning industrial sector, is heavily reliant on the quality and efficiency of its infrastructure. Whether it’s for mining, energy, or construction, stainless steel tubes are essential components that help industries function smoothly. The rapid expansion of Guinea’s industrial base has created a high demand for quality materials, and stainless steel tubes rank at the top of the list for their unparalleled strength, resistance to environmental factors, and versatility.
As the industrial sector continues to grow, companies in Guinea need trusted partners who can supply premium materials. Midland Alloys Inc. has positioned itself as a leader in this market, offering high-grade stainless steel tubes and fittings that meet the unique needs of Guinea's industries.
Why Stainless Steel Tubes are Essential for Guinea’s Key Industries

Dinner with Violet & Steel
Within the mythril-blue halls of the Higuri Regalia’s Main Branch Headquarters was a vast dinner table made of that same blue metal.  Precious fabrics of tulle were placed evenly along the length of the table, as plates of exquisite food from all corners of Hydaelyn were being placed.
The Angels – Lord Thiji’s personal retinue of assassin-maidservants – were gathered around the table.  At the head was the Mythrite Sultan himself, being poured a glass of his Winter Lassi by his Main Branch Advisor, Veeveena Veena.  He and his Angels were regaling one another over their recent success in the Bloodsands…
Lilina: So how’d it go?! I wanted to witness the spectacle myself, but I have been so busy with my Summoner training…
Veeveena: Oh, it went quite well, Miss Lilina!  In fact, we would be honored if Miss Susuna could recall the story for us in full detail!
Susuna: Hey, can I at least get in a glass or two of wine first?!
The Angels chuckled as Susuna gulped down her caelumtree wine.  All the Angels were garbed in the uniform of their respective branches, save for a few who were wearing items from the PiB Catalogue: Veeveena in her Impurity’s Sampot as per usual; Isja in her Life-Warden’s Veil, and Himmeya in the Griffin-Mistress’ Choil.
After a good half-bell into their feast, Veeveena popped the question to her fellow Angel once more, who took another long sip of her wine before jumping up to the table in a dramatic fashion, startling her sisters.
Susuna: So there we were, surrounded by the typical Ul’dahn crowd of nobles looking for bloodshed! Even Ishgard’s own nobility came to spectate!  The Mythril Cup was nigh, and it was here that our latest operation would unfold: Violet Steel!
Luluma: But wait, I thought Miss Himmeya didn’t use weapons?
Susuna: I’m getting there! So anyway, the contestants were lined up in the Bloodsands: a big, burly Sea Wolf Gladiator; a not-as-big but just-as burly female Sea Wolf Marauder; a Midlander soldier of the Immortal Flames; a female Duskwight Lancer; a Sun Seeker male from the Black Shroud – a Redbelly Wasp; a pair of male twin Dunesfolk Thaumaturges, and a Highlander Thief!
Isja: Hm… I counted nine, including Himmeya.  Who was the tenth?
Susuna: She was a Far Easterner, by the look of her armor.  She had a pink scabbard which obviously housed a Doman Steel katana.  At the time, she was masked, so her face was obscured from view.  So as they welcomed the combatants, I placed a hundred thousand gil on Himmeya winning. The odds at the time were 100 to 1.
Lelena: What?!  Then that must mean –
Susuna: That’s right! Ten million gil was going to belong to the Regalia once Himmeya won!  Of course, the real victory was getting word out on the PiB Catalogue, which my sisters and Miss Shiro were manning just outside the coliseum at the time.
Umimi: Oh, when does the fun part come?  Let’s hear about the fighting!
Sesena: Oh, don’t be so impatient, Miss Umimi!  Suna’s gotta set the mood first!
Susuna: Whaddya mean? The mood is already set!  The fight started and everyone was goin’ at it! The Gladiator and Marauder ganged up on the swordmaiden while the Lancer and the Redbelly Archer did their thing.
Umimi, taking a sip of water: Now that’s more like it!
Susuna: The Flames soldier made good use of his shield, deflecting the elemental onslaught from the Thaumaturge twins!  Then here comes the Highlander Thief from out of the shadows, looking to draw first blood by taking out Himmeya!
The Angels gasped as Himmeya simply shook her head, biting into another piece of baklava.  The Enforcer was amazed by the taste that she had to stop and appreciate the flavor for a moment…
Himmeya, thinking: Damn.  Now I see why this is Lord Thiji’s favorite dessert.
Susuna: Unfortunately for him, Miss Himmeya was in her exclusive Fists of Ice stance!  When the Thief jumped onto her shoulders for an Assassination attack, she caught him off balance using Arm of the Destroyer, then quickly grabbed him by the leg, hung him upside-down for a mean Touch of Death to the gut, and chucked his tattooed ass across the arena, taking a shield bash and Scathe combo as he was sent flying into the wall!
Umimi & Veeveena: Nice!
The other Angels applauded Himmeya’s performance.  The Fist of Rhalgr disciple found it difficult to respond to such an ovation, so she simply waved sheepishly.
Isja: Who knew the Treasurer had such a talent for storytelling?
Sosona: Susuna may be the youngest between the three of us, but her expertise at information gathering and gossip is second-to-none.
Susuna: With the first combatant knocked out, Himmeya took up a new stance: the Fists of Water!  The Lancer incapacitated the Miqo’te bandit with a straight kick and went straight for the Flames soldier!  Meanwhile, the Thaumaturges enhanced their defenses with Manawards as they prepared a mean spell to throw at Himmeya!
Lelena: How would she be able to close the distance in time?!
Susuna: She didn’t have to. Much like the Fists of Ice slowing down opponents she struck, this stance had a unique effect as well!  The Fists of Water increased her effective striking range by at least ten yalms!  So she was able to instantly break their barriers with another antiquated technique: the One-Ilm Punch!
Meriri: Goodness, lass! Ye be puttin’ Pugilists to shame with yer skills!
Koyuki: It was at this point that the crowd had its eyes fixed on Miss Himmeya, and some had even inquired as to where she obtained her clothes!  You can only imagine what we told them in response!
Shishira: Lord Thiji dearest was spectating from the other end, cloaked in black and violet, signaling the next phase: bringing in the masses!  But for now, Miss Susuna should continue.
Susuna: Thank you, ma’am! So, with the Thaumaturges’ defenses shattered by a single hit, the Archer managed to recover and shot an arrow at the older brother, which really pissed off his younger sibling!  He gathered his might and dropped an orbital laser on his head – the Skyshard!
Isja: Heavens…!
Umimi: He died, right?
Susuna: He should have!  It’s a Limit Break, for Thal’s sake!  But capitalizing on this, the Marauder chick took out the exhausted younger with a mean Overpower, wrapping up the triangle knockout!
Meriri: So how was the swordmaiden doin’ in the midst of all this?
Susuna: She held her own no problem!  In fact, I was going to get to her in a minute!  So, the roster was down to half at this point, with only Himmeya, the Far Easterner, the Roegadyns, and the Flames Soldier remaining!
Yuanji: But you missed the Duskwight – what happened to her?
Susuna, taking another sip of her wine: Oh, right – her.  She got slashed right below the tits by the Flames soldier.
The Angels broke out into laughter yet again from the Treasurer’s remark.  Umimi nearly spat out her water as a result.  Thiji only shook his head, the only thing escaping his lips being a soft chuckle.
Susuna: Which is even funnier considering how she was talking so much good shite to Miss Himmeya before the fight began!
Himmeya: Said I was better fit for ballroom dancing.
Lilina: Ballrooms can be arenas, too!
Susuna: Well-stated, Miss Lilina!  Very true! So anyway, he was up next. Himmeya readied her third trump card: The Fists of Lightning!
Lilina: Ooh! Ooh!  That stance had to have paralyzed her foes, right?!
Himmeya: Correct. Though my attacks kept hitting his shield, he would eventually find it harder to hold it up as the electric current danced around the metal and eventually shocked him.
Susuna: And that was when she gave him a double Tiger Claw Strike!
Himmeya: “Couerl Paw”, Miss Susuna.
Susuna: Eh, semantics! The point is, he was knocked on his ass and was eliminated!  All eyes were on Himmeya now, and the nobles were starting to see the meaning of “Power in Beauty” through our star performer!  So we directed them outside to the booth we had set up.  Those who stayed, however, were in for a treat! That Marauder chick was furious now, and charged at Himmeya full speed!  But she was able to stop her dead in her tracks with the Steel Peak technique, stunning her long enough to charge her power move… Uh, what did you call it again?
Himmeya & Sosona: Chesed (pronounced “heh-sed”).
Susuna: Thanks to Sona’s fine-tuning, Miss Himmeya overclocked her Fists of the Fiend and brought the full power of life and growth onto the face of the Marauder, sending her bouncing into the wall where she made a nice Roegadyn-sized hole in it before landing on her neck!
The Angels winced in pain.
Susuna: That left only Himmeya, the Gladiator, and the swordmaiden.  At this point, the Roegadyn was getting frustrated as her opponent was getting the upper hand, so he tried to draw her away with a Bloodstain – or Circle of Scorn, if you prefer!  But then she did this thing where it looked like she foresaw the incoming attack and instantly evaded it, sliding backwards a full 360-degrees before advancing and retaliating with a slash which disarmed him!
Luluma: So some sort of… Foresight Slash?
Susuna: Yeah, that’s what it sounds like!  Anyway, she sent the man into the air with a Tsubame-Gaeshi, then bisected the fool with an Ougi – some Far Eastern word meaning “Hidden Technique”.
???: The Hana-no-Fukei – the Scenery of Blossoms.
Everyone looked around to find the source of the voice.  Then from the entrance to the dining hall was a petite Midlander Hyur wearing the uniform of the Othard Branch, with a pink scabbard identical to the one Susuna described in her retelling.  She had auburn hair tied in a ponytail and golden eyes, flawless skin, and an air of poise.  She greeted everyone with a bow and immediately took a seat beside Himmeya.
Susuna: Introducing our newest Angel: Kaori Hanabira, the Petaldancer!
Kaori: Truly, it is an honor to be part of such a wonderful company.  It is grand to see my old friend Himmeya again.
Meriri: Wait, you’re the same lass who cut down the Gladiator?  Then how’d the rest of the match end?
Kaori: After I struck down that ruffian, I revealed myself to Himmeya.  We had befriended each other during the Rhalgr’s Beacon operation when she was still in the Resistance.
Himmeya: She stowed away on an East Aldenard vessel all the way to Limsa Lominsa, where she sought to return the favor of the brave westerners who helped liberate Doma.
Thiji: We are honored to have you among us, Miss Kaori.  You will serve us well as the Othard Branch’s Enforcer.
Kaori: I shall not disappoint.
Umimi: With all due respect, my lord… who won the Mythril Cup?
Thiji: That honor belongs to Miss Himmeya, of course.  They had shared a dialogue before sparring.  Both gave their all, but in the ensuing clash, Miss Kaori’s blade would shatter upon Himmeya’s enhanced fists.  Without a weapon with which to fend herself, and her own martial arts proving inadequate, the only logical choice was to concede.
Kaori: But it was an honorable duel, and I only entered to find Miss Himmeya in the first place. She enjoys fighting – as do I.  So I thought a coliseum battle would be the ideal event to find her.  The kami smiled upon me that day to find her there, though I was unaware of a greater scheme in the works.
Yuanji: Ahh – of course! Miss Sesena’s team was swamped after the match, were you not?
Sesena: We would have been were it not for the fact that Miss Shiro is a master assassin!  She gave everyone a copy with lightning speed!
Sosona: And now we have an easy 10 million gil in the bank; more exposure for the Regalia, and a new Angel. An awesome profit was won that day.
Susuna: The bookmaker was appalled by the outcome, but that’s the thing about gambling: sometimes –
Sesena and Sosona join in: You lose!
Umimi: But not for the Regalia!  This gamble was a victory for us all!  A toast to our success, and to our newest Angel – Miss Kaori!
Thiji: To Miss Kaori.
Yuanji & Koyuki: Kampai!

All Is Fair  Ch. 7:  Loaded
Lia comes to terms with Tommy’s gangster identity.
Tommy’s car was parked on a side street, just around the block from the library. The chill of the hard, cold leather seats numbed the backs of Lia’s thighs as Tommy pressed his lips to hers.  She leaned into his kiss, and even though she shivered from the cold a simmering heat moved through her. His tongue was in her mouth and his hands were in her hair and she didn’t give a fuck who saw them. She slid her hands inside his jacket, but they stilled for a moment when they met the leather and steel of his gun holster. She shifted her attention to the buttons of his waistcoat, and she groaned slightly when she pulled at the tail of his shirt. She needed to feel his warm skin under her hands, wanted to get as close to him as she possibly could in the front seat of a Bugatti. He moved his lips to her ear and whispered, “Not here. We can go to the Midland.”
Lia’s heart raced at his suggestion. If she agreed to accompany him to the Midland, he would surely expect that she would be willing to sleep with him. She paused for a moment, contemplating the choice that lay before her. If she followed her heart, she would have the night of her life. What worried her was what Tommy would think of her after the fact. Tommy seemed to be a rather progressive man, but a small part of her feared that things would change between them. She had always approached her relationship with Tommy as an opportunity to have fun, be adventurous and ignore the possible consequences, but now that things had taken a serious turn she was having second thoughts
He felt the hesitation in her body before he saw it in her face. “Lia,” he gently lifted her chin with a finger and kissed her lips. “We don’t have to rush anything, eh? I just thought some privacy would be nice.”
Tommy’s eyes were mesmerizing as they gazed into her own. The perpetual gray of the city made them an even more striking shade of blue, and the cold dim light played upon his cheekbones, hollowing them and honing them to a sharp edge. There was nothing left to consider. She wanted him badly, and he was offering her an afternoon in the most beautiful hotel suite in Birmingham.
  “That’s a lovely idea. Let’s go.”
There it was. Lia decided to go along with Tommy’s suggestion that they continue their afternoon at the Midland; she knew what was on the cards, and she was ready for it.
Tommy was more than ready. He was unaccustomed to waiting for anything, and it was a testament to how much he liked Lia that he hadn’t lost interest and found a more accommodating companion. As he sped toward their destination, one black leather gloved hand was on the wheel and the other was on her. Between shifting gears he caressed her arm and her thigh. He squeezed her hand and cut his eyes toward her; he clearly couldn’t wait to get her alone. When they pulled up to the entrance of the hotel, he pulled the brake and casually handed the keys off to the valet.
He wordlessly took Lia’s hand and led her through the opulent lobby. The clicking of her heels echoed across the marble tile as she tried to inconspicuously take in her surroundings. It was hard not to gawk at the rich wood paneling and lush oriental rugs that adorned the alcoves where finely dressed ladies and gentlemen sipped at drinks. She ventured a glance upward and at the massive crystal chandelier and a flicker of amazement sparkled in her eyes. Tommy gave her a cheeky half-smile as he led her into the waiting elevator.
The attendant recognized Tommy immediately, tipped his hat, and sent the lift up to the penthouse. Tommy stood a respectable distance from Lia while they took the silent ride to the top floor, but all the while he devoured her with his eyes. Each time she glanced toward him she could feel heat rise to her face and she involuntarily squeezed her thighs together. He knew exactly what he was doing to her and he reveled in it.
“Will that be all, Mr. Shelby?” the lift operator cordially asked.
“Yes. I shall call if we require anything,” Tommy replied, his voice measured and calm.
Lia walked in a slow circle, taking in her surroundings while Tommy took care of the door. She heard it click shut behind her as if the sound was traveling through a dense haze. Tommy’s cologne, the rosy light that emanated from the lamps, the silk of her underthings— they were all soft and lovely. The whole scene was perfect. She closed her eyes and slowly inhaled savoring the warm druggy feeling that was washing over her.
“Would you like something to drink?”
Her head turned toward the sound of Tommy’s voice, and she crossed the room to where he stood. He handed her a whiskey and gestured toward a sofa.
Once they were seated, he drained his glass and leaned toward her. His gaze was heavy with lust, his voice quiet. “Do you know why I brought you here?”
It was the same question he had asked on the boat. Only then she was hesitant. They had just met and he was an enigma to her. Now, although she knew precious little more about this man, she felt inexplicably more at ease in his presence. Her answer was the same, but her intent was different.
“Yes,” she whispered. Her eyes were enormous, her pupils ready to swallow him whole.
“Finish your whiskey, Lia.” He casually ran a hand up her thigh.
She did as she was told, and he put her glass to the side. “Now, since you know why I brought you here…”
He kissed her in slow motion, gently at first, then more deeply and urgently. She grasped at his lapels and peeled his coat down while he pulled his arms free. His skin was burning to be touched underneath the thin fabric of his shirt. She slid her hands up his arms, down his back, and around to his sides until her right hand made contact with his holster. She hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do, then drew back. She was both wary of the weapon and fascinated by it. She knew Tommy was a dangerous man, but she hadn’t really thought about the fact that he constantly carried a gun. According to the gossip she’d heard about his past, he would just as soon beat a man to death with his fists than use a pistol. If she was honest with herself, part of what attracted her to Tommy was the knowledge that he was, in his heart, a gangster.
Something flashed in her eyes that was not lost on Tommy. She had the same reaction a few days ago in his office when he removed it in front of her. Her cousin Jenny might have protested about his chequered past, but as far as he could tell, Lia liked a bit of danger. That was good, he supposed. If he was going to keep her around for any time at all she would need to have the stomach for both sides of his business.
Tommy took her hand and guided it to the strap on his shoulder. Her delicate fingers skimmed over the rich dark leather and came to rest at the fastenings. Tommy ran his tongue along his bottom lip and eyed her reaction. She was riveted. Her mouth was slightly parted and her breath came faster than before.
“Take it off,” he quietly directed her.
She looked into his eyes for affirmation and he nodded. Carefully, she unbuckled the holster and pulled the straps from around his torso. For a moment she held it, testing the weight of it in her hands. She then gingerly laid it on the sofa table and turned her attention to Tommy.
He smirked and pulled her close, “You like that, eh?”
“I don’t know... It terrifies me.” She glanced back at the gun, then to Tommy. “You though, it’s just a part of you, isn’t it?”
“I suppose it is. I don’t go anywhere without it.” He took her face in his hands and in a low raspy voice, he tried to reassure her. “This is who I am, and there are times, even now that I am in Parliament, when I have to show people that I am still Tommy Shelby from Small Heath.”
“Do people still come after you?”
“Not for a long while, they haven’t.”
He continued stroking her cheeks and she relaxed into his touch. Her eyes slid closed and once again his mouth was on hers. Whiskey lingered on his tongue. Since their very first kiss, the smell of whiskey made her dizzy with want. It was Tommy himself. Now she drank him in for all that she was worth. There was no sense in putting up false pretenses; she was going to give herself to him today. While the rest of the world buzzed from one place to the next in the fading light of the late afternoon, she was going to spread her legs for this gangster, this thief, this Watery Lane Gypsy turned MP.
Her hands wandered under his shirt and across the broad expanse of his back while she sucked at his bottom lip. “Tommy,”
He lifted her onto his lap and lay back against the cushions. “Hmmmmm?” he mumbled, pushing her skirt up higher on her thighs and fingering the satin straps on her garters.
“Go ahead and do what you brought me here for.”

Luxury car producers of India BMW and Mercedes Benz continually get requests for top of the line security cars that are projectile confirmation. The cost of such cars is Rs. 2 crores or more. Toyota likewise gets demands for such vehicles in India however doesn't at present have any such contribution. "In the event that a client gets a Toyota car bulletproofed by an outsider, at that point we will renounce the guarantee on the car," said a Toyota official.
As per a luxury car vendor, the greater part of the clients adjust their perspective when they provide the cost estimate. In any case requests continue pouring in and interest for such cars have multiplied in recent years. "We got great reaction from this specialty fragment. Government and consulates, global designations, legislators, VIPs and prominent industrialists are some key client gatherings," said a Mercedes Benz India representative.
Shot confirmation cars, otherwise called Special Protection Vehicles, can withstand assaults from hand explosives, RDX blasts and firearm shoot. These cars are specially designed at the production line and are imported as totally constructed units in India which makes them pricier attributable to 105 percent import obligation on CBUs.

BMW didn't uncover real subtleties of such requests or its deals yet it is assessed that at any rate 15-25 percent of BMW 7 arrangement sold in India are really SPVs.
Individuals are putting resources into their security, with bulletproof cars
While brands, for example, Audi, BMW, and Land Rover effectively offer in-house bulletproofing alternatives, it's the ascent of deals by the private U.S. suppliers that demonstrates genuine benefits to be made.
The 2020 Range Rover Sentinel, which appeared in March, contains in excess of a huge load of ballistic steel plate and armored glass inside its body.
It can withstand a line bomb detonating from point-clear reach and can climate rounds of slugs shot by AK-47s, AR-15s, and 9 mm guns. Its 510-pull V8 motor can portage profound water, plunge steep mountains, and run at 120 mph—a praiseworthy accomplishment thinking about that the Sentinel weighs 10,000 pounds, more than double the heaviness of a standard Range Rover.
It likewise has a bring forth that permits those inside to escape through the back baggage compartment, in the event that the entryways ought to get unusable. Designed and worked via Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations group in West Midlands, England, it's not the main bulletproof vehicle Land Rover has made in-house, yet it's positively the hardest.
The Sentinel's delivery features a section of the car business that regularly goes unnoticed: the assembling and offer of armored vehicles. Furthermore, today, there's developing interest from buyers ready to burn through a huge number of dollars for them.
"A ton of districts the world over are growing financially rapidly, and guard consumptions are associating with that, and we have been scaling with it," says Philip Nadjafov, whose family established Toronto-based Isotrex in 2005. He says business abroad, particularly to satisfy UN peacekeeping and government contracts, has risen sharply in the course of the most recent three years. "Individuals are putting resources into their security."
While brands, for example, Audi, BMW, and Land Rover effectively offer in-house bulletproofing alternatives, it's the ascent of deals by the numerous private suppliers over the U.S. that demonstrates the genuine benefits to be made. No far reaching information exist for the business everywhere, except interviews with a large number of them have set market development desires close to twofold digits, year-over-year, for a long time to come.
In San Antonio, Tex., Lawrence Kosub at Texas Armoring Corp., which opened in 1997, is exposing plans to an office in Central America that can make 200 armored vehicles for every year, up from the 50 he presently creates every year. In Utah, ArmorMax Chief Executive Officer Mark Burton is chipping away at an administration agreement to convey 140 Ford vehicles to different offices by mid 2020. “Just like the lotus, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness, and radiate into the world.” – Unknown
“Again!”
The instructor’s voice rings out in the garden, and I lift my eyes from the embroidery that had been set upon my lap. I am thirteen years old, now. From now since I was six - when Hui and I were first taken in to this yakuza sect - I have lived in the Tiger’s Den... or, rather, with the wives and girl children.
They teach me all the aspects of an accomplished woman. They teach me how to dress and how to speak so as to bring honor to Doma and to the Kinoshita-gumi both. I learn embroidery and calligraphy, I learn to dance with fans and to sing and to play the guzheng, the guqin, the koto, the erhu, the flute (though I have no talent for the flute at all). They praise me for the way I am blossoming into what they call a beauty, with my lily-white complexion and sharp, bright eyes and inky black hair. I do not know what makes a beauty, but I suppose that it must be these things, except on the days when the oyabun’s wife tells me I am an ugly and sour, disobedient child with no redeeming qualities.
I sit on the porch near the training grounds, my silk hanfu spread across the space I occupy in shimmering colors of pale pink and pale green. The weather is warm but with a cool breeze, and I hear the sound of the shishi odoshi in the nearby koi pond, almost like a metronome keeping time with the movements of the young men training.
Front and center is the oyabun’s son, a boy a little older than me and a little younger than Hui. He is a Hyur, but tall for a midlander, with shoulders that are already broad and black hair that is cropped close to his head. He is training, they tell me, to be an assassin. I can understand why. His body is lithe and his movements are quick, nimble. It’s rare to hear his footsteps, except when he and the other boys are laughing and loud and drinking late into the night.
I watch and pretend that I don’t, keeping my eyes half-focused on my needlework as the other girls around me murmur and giggle about the sweating boys. Hui is not among them. It’s his brain that makes him valuable to the Kinosihta-gumi, not his brawn, and part of me thinks this makes my big brother far superior to the men who carry swords. There are a hundred other reasons why Hui is better than any other man, of course, but... this is one of them. It has always been his cleverness that has kept us alive.
And when the instructor again calls for them to halt and do the exercises again, I shake my head. It’s the young Raen boy who is making the mistake. His foot lands in the wrong place each and every time, leaving him vulnerable to the attack of his partner. I hear the oyabun’s son - Kage - let out a quiet growl of irritability, and there is a sudden scream from the girls beside me.
“Xiu!” they yell, and I lift my head. There is a knife whizzing towards my face. I lift my embroidery hoop, my wrist snapping it into place, and I exhale as I watch the steel of the knife cut through the fabric, ilms from the tip of my nose.
There is a heavy, pregnant silence. Slowly, I lower the hoop and look to the source of this projectile weapon, feeling the tic of my jaw. Kage and I lock eyes, and from the position of his shoulders, I know it was he who threw it to begin with. I arch a brow and reach up, pulling the knife from the fabric. It had stabbed through the center of the lotus flower I’d been working on.
“There is no need to try to kill me just because you’re frustrated with your brother, Kage,” I say quietly, and there’s a quiet ripple of laughter from the men. Crisis averted, but I look to the Raen boy, his head hanging.
“I wasn’t aiming for you,” Kage mutters as he comes close, and I hold the embroidery hoop up for him to retrieve his knife. “I just wanted to scare Eiji... Forgive me, Xiu. You’re not hurt?”
Before I can answer, I hear my name being spoken once again - but this time, it’s not by one of the other girls. Every head turns as we all recognize the voice at the same time, and there’s a sinking sensation in the pit of my stomach. Everyone hits their knees at the same time, heads so low that they touch the ground, and loathe as I am to do it, mine is included.
The oyabun stands at the front of the training grounds, his yukata loose and his katana hanging upon his hip.
Power-hungry son of a bitch, I think... and then the guilt chases me as a dog, for thinking so cruelly of the man who gave Hui and I a roof over our heads.
“Xiu,” he repeats, his heavy brow furrowing. “I told you to come. On your feet. Kage,” he adds, and Kage needs no further instruction. He turns sharply on a heel and goes to meet his father, and I set my hoop down.
The red thread I’d planned on using for the koi in the pond of my picture hangs like strands of blood from the center of the wounded lotus flower.
The oyabun’s quarters are grand, everything black and gold. It’s the previous throne room of the original owners of the palace that the Kinoshita-gumi has turned into a compound that we’re lead to. The oyabun still, essentially, uses it as such. The man sinks back onto his low throne as I enter behind Kage, hands folded primly in front of myself and eyes lowered.
Will the ghosts of this place devour you, oyabun, for playing as a king? Will they come for you for pretending to be ruler of a place you have stolen, of a place you bloodied your hands to take? Do you still hear the screams of the children you cut down so that you might have a palace of your own?
From the shadows, two of the oyabun’s guards emerge, and they seize Kage by the arms. He doesn’t even resist, and I know what is about to come. A third guard comes as the back of Kage’s shirt is ripped once he’s forced onto his knees, and his father watches with emotionless eyes, so dark they look black, so deep they seem to be the void itself.
I’ve seen many beatings and whippings in the compound. The oyabun is not shy about making them public, nor is he shy about doing it to his own flesh and blood if they displease him. It’s only once that I’ve been publicly whipped, and it was for forgetting to bow when the oyabun came into the room. On this day, the wounds are still sore, but I force myself to watch as Kage receives his lashes. He doesn’t flinch, and he doesn’t cry out. His back is already scarred with the long marks from the leather lash.
“Please,” I mumble, keeping my eyes low. “Please only the five, oyabun. It was an accident. He didn’t mean to--”
“Do you hear the girl pleading for mercy for you, Kage?” the oyabun asks, coldly, staring down at his son. “You have burdened her. Would you disfigure her because of a temper tantrum? Would you be so careless with your aim because you lost your head? Will that serve you well on future assignments?”
“No, oyabun,” Kage gasps, and I purse my lips, swallow the angry lump in my throat as I see blood blossoming across his sun-kissed back.
I can’t take it anymore, as the guard lifts his hand for the sixth. I have always been quick, quicker than any of the boys my age they train. In a flash of silk, I rise to my feet and twist around Kage, pulling the knife he’d thrown by accident in my direction from his belt and lifting my arm. The whip wraps around it as I intercept the lash, and the guard looks at me with wide eyes as I grit my teeth and dig my feet into the floor.
“An accident,” I repeat, refusing to budge, even as I feel the hands of one of the other guards reaching for my arms. They’re all so much taller than me - male Au Ra, of hulking size - but I am... angry. A drip of Kage’s blood rolls onto my fine silk slipper, so close am I to his hunched over body.
“Don’t touch the girl,” the oyabun instructs in a cool, level tone, and all of us look towards him, then. I know my eyes are blazing, and that to look at him as such could mean very well signing my own death sentence.
Even at thirteen, I can’t find it in myself to care too much.
“You are a brave child, aren’t you?” he asks me, and I say nothing, still with white-knuckles around the hilt of the knife I’ve taken.
Not brave. I’m foolish. An idiot. And nothing makes me more of a foolish, angry idiot than looking into your face.
“Have you a desire to fight, Xiu?” The oyabun is unphased by my lack of reply, and slowly, I lower the knife and furrow my brow at the question. Even Kage glances up in surprise, looking between his father and me as he pants. I know the pain from the whip is still stinging, but beginning, slowly, to dull into a throb.
“You don’t allow women to fight,” I reply, the guards fading back into the shadows, though I don’t lower my stance. The oyabun looks me over before he looses a low chuckle.
“It seems that you’ve already taken it upon yourself to learn, judging by how you’re standing... and by how quickly you reacted to a dagger flying towards your face. The other girls would have screamed and ducked or else been hit. You did not even flinch.”
I’ve watched the boys learn to fight for years. Am I so blind that I would never have picked anything up, never memorized anything to protect myself, never had any sort of curiosity, never practiced what they do?
“My brother Hui would not permit me to fight, oyabun.”
“It is not your brother Hui who is in charge of you anymore, Xiu.”
And, soon, it would become all too clear that neither was I in charge of myself anymore, either. There was only one boss above all others in the Kinoshita-gumi, and it was on that day, at thirteen years old, that he made the executive decision, a decision that would forever change my life.
I would become his right-hand weapon.

MUN QUESTIONS.
Q1 : If you could write your character your way in their own movie,  what would it be called, what style would it be filmed in, and what would it be about?
A1 :  I’m thinkin’ like how Interview with the Vampire was. Starts with her relating her story to, probably, another Adder and it goes over her life beginning with her curse and ending where she is now. May or may not kill the poor sod afterwards.
Q2 :  What would their soundtrack/score sound like?
A2 :  Quiet, expressive orchestra. Ambient foreign vocals. I frequently listen to Dark Souls and Witcher music for background inspiration for her.
Q3 :  Why did you start writing this character?
A3 : I used my Dark Souls oc and reworked her to interact with the story of FFXIV. She started out a bit “lighter and softer” than what she is now, but has grown quite a lot.
Q4 :   What first attracted you to this character?
A4 : The theme of a girl who had to grow up very quickly in a bleak, hostile environment but pulls through due to support from friends and family. She has a dark side that I get to express that I don’t have in other characters. Unlike the rest, she’s hit the bottom before; writing her is a reminder of just how much worse things can be.
Q5 :  Describe the biggest thing you dislike about your muse.
A5 : She’s borderline antisocial and very bad at judging dangerous situations. Sh will walk into fights and will disregard whether she can win or lose, so she might come off as a liability...
Q6 :  What do you have in common with your muse?
A6 :   Not much, but we love cats very much!
Q7 :   How does your muse feel about  you?
A7 :   She’s probably surprised someone so nice could think of these terrible, horrible things to put her through.
Q8 :  What characters does your muse have interesting interactions with ?
A8 :   Those with secrets or are similar to her. She’s slow to trust and that makes regular interactions difficult because of her aloof nature, but anyone who can break through her shell tends to find a good friend. Or...perhaps a rival should she desire to test your strength.
Q9 :  What gives you inspiration to write your muse ?
A9 : DARK SOULS, but also anime and literature, anything thematically related to her
Q10 : How long did this take you to complete ?
A10 : Several hours, since I was playing at the same time =v=;
