Today I learned about Stephanomeria occultata, a plant discovered in 2018 in Utah that is only found in one county.
According to the Wikipedia page, it was found in a PARKING LOT using GOOGLE EARTH STREET VIEW

Brownplume Wirelettuce (Stephanomeria pauciflora), J-Six Ranch, Cochise County, Arizona. A bit of irony in the scientific name.

Cool Plant: Stephanomeria occultata
Hidden Wirelettuce
This plant is found only in a small area of northern Utah. It is named for the fact that it was hidden in plain sight until 2018, when it was discovered. It grows on gravelly slopes next to some roads, but somehow humans failed to notice that it was a unique species.
