Alrighty so I’ve been following the Call of Duty franchise for years since I was like in elementary school, and Ghost is my fav character. I’m now an artist, still studying art, sub-majoring in illustration and graphic design in art college. Today I was having an design history class and I need to move my hand, so I was like, “What does Ghost look like?” So throughout those 3 hours of lecture I scoured the internet for how he looks like, then sketched his face (in my style, semi-realistic, semi-manga-ish? I don’t even know lol but let’s go on a journey here.)

⚠️This is just my interpretation and not canon at all. Just a fan researching stuff and doing art. You can agree or disagree with it as you like.

1. Okay, so first off, age. Ghost is a lieutenant. The Call of Duty wiki didn’t specify his age, but typically someone could join the military aged 17-18 (UK’s minimum is 16), so let’s assume he joined during his teenage days. Being a lieutenant, that means he’s probably in his mid-to-late 20s, almost 30.

2. Height and Build. According to CoD wiki, he’s 6 feet 4 ½ inches or 189 cm. Muscular and athletic build. WIDE SHOULDERS™ (Who am I kidding. Man’s a SAS soldier. He’s a venti size FOR SURE). He’s also the tallest out of all the 141 according to CoD wiki.

Now, into the face.

The only face he’s shown is this picture below from the Modern Warfare Ghost comic.

3. Facial Features - Black/dark brown hair, brown eyes (there’s a controversy about Ghost’s eye color about them being blue, but from the comics and the reboot!Ghost, I stayed with brown), hooded eyes, full lips, defined jaw, deep eyes, thick supraorbital ridge, long face, and a prominent chin and jaw.

Next, is from the reboot!Ghost from warzone!

Different balaclava design! I dig it. Now, here’s my observation. When in the OG MW series we can’t see Ghost’s eyes because of the shades, we now can because he doesn’t wear one. Dark brown eyes, yes. BUT, his eyes aren’t that hooded. If you see season 2 and 3 cinematics, we can see his eyelids. I’m a little conflicted on this one, but okay, I’ll take it.

4. Voice and Past - Ghost’s been through a LOT. He didn’t have a happy childhood, betrayed by his superior, tortured by Roba, entire family killed around Christmas time where you should be spending them with your family, and then he got betrayed by that sh*thead Sh*p*rd. Craig Fairbrass (the voice of OG Ghost) was quite the cockney accent with calm and collected tone, but Jeff Leach’s voice is more angry at everything vibe and has that harsh tone color. So I reckon he’s a bit of a grump, hypervigilant, but a little bit edgy and sad :(

5. Hair - He wears the balaclava most of the time to hide his face, and considering during the ending of MW19 he doesn’t even have an official photo, he must RARELY took it off. Wearing the balaclava most of the time must be HOT as hell, so I’m going with a medium haircut, but still following the comic’s style. He’d grow a beard, but maybe just a stubble or 5 o’clock shadow.

Considering all the points above, I drew the sketches of his like I’m a criminal sketch artist LMAO. Complete with the GIFs so you and I can imagine what he looks like when reading fanfics or something.

Note : On the 6th pic, I HC the Reboot!Ghost using black face paint like the Winter Soldier, because now his eyes are visible, but the eyelids and under eyes are colored black. So there’s that. Also, man’s new balaclava has like 2-3 layers how hot it must be DAMN.
