The back of the seat gets pushed back by Darla’s asscheeks, The mobility scooter going down a few inches, Darla’s belly was filling her lap, spilling further down her legs, and even covered the steering wheel, her football with chubbier paws/feet feet rest on board, the steering wheel almost covered in the middle of her both upper and lower belly, Darla digging her left pawed hand to try to fix her tight panties from being wedge up because of her “bigger than bowling balls” asscheeks using her left pawed/hand, it gives super tight wedge from between of her asscheeks, “Her fairly large doughy sloshing double belly with the standard indent towards the bottom that makes it look like a butt” belly flops over her legs and knees when she sitting down, her light gray-brownish button-down shirt cover her bottom belly, it wobbles when she barley waddle, her belt are buckle it up so tightly. Her breasts was DD's like sacks of flour and were struggling to stay, her “Security Guard” button-down shirt sleeves strengths from her “very hammy lower arms but upperarms fattening like fatten hams that her arms got so fat that resemble sausage fattening hams that slowly engulffing her lower arms” upperarms, Her legs got so fat that resemble largest sausage hams that slowly engulffing her lower legs like her arms, her two small single-chevron collar pins barley leaves it open because her neck and chins, you can see her gold-tinted badge because her belly is in the way, so Darla move to top short where her chest poking out, her oval patch featuring a silver police-style badge is covered in pizza sauce and Donut crumbs and frostings, and you can see her 30 back rolls hidden from back of her t-shirt, fatten sausage fingers with chubbier hands and fatter face with heavy chin and double chin was starting to appear on her fat face, you can see her asscheeks poking out from her sagging pants. Darla had very big eyebag marks under her eyes, 20 wrinkles on her forehead. Darla drives up the ramp and went inside ZPD from opening double doors that open by itself

Everyone in ZPD looked at her and how she was in unofficial clothes to welcome the new rookie, Judy Hopps waddle to Darla offering her some donuts while showing a new outfit so she can look good for the rookie. Judy have been spending a lot of time with Clawhouser as she no longer was a slim skinny bunny but was now a fine obese bunny. Hours was passing and once the clock hit the time of 9:06am the rookie come in, her 360.50lbs body passed through the wide double doors, her back is covered by fat rolls, her legs have fat rolls over fat rolls that cover her hoofs that don't fit in her boots, her pants are too tight on her legs and her belly is so big and fat that made her shirt spread and hold by the buttons. She was the fattest giraffe everyone in ZPD saw in the whole Zootopia and police departament

I was super excited about this request because I'm ace and I love platonic/best friend fics so much.

"What do we need for fondue?" Jake asked, leaning against the basket of your shopping cart, flexing his arms when a woman walked passed, looking over at him and smiling. You rolled your eyes, you should have known that going shopping for game day would've been easier by yourself. Although you hated driving and Jake was always happy to drive. And brave the absolute headache that was Trader Joes on a Saturday.

"Broccoli, some kind of bread, apples, sausage..." You read over the list that you had unfolded on top of a bag of bagels. You looked up from the list to see him looking behind him, still following the same woman, "Seresin, I swear to god-"

"I'm paying attention darling," he joked, turning back and smiling at you.

"You are not paying attention," you replied, "but I will pretend that you are. What do you wanna get?"

"Hmm," he hummed meaningfully before standing up straight, "broccoli, apples, sausage."

"You just want me to have to go back over to the bread cause you know I hate that lady," you muttered.

"I think you come here too often if you have a literal vendetta against a woman stocking shelves," he replied, "but also, I saw the guy with the kids headed to the veggies and I don't want you to commit murder over a bag of tiny trees."

"A true american hero Hangman," you laughed, turning the cart in the opposite direction.

The first time you met Jake Seresin he'd been out with some friends at the bar you worked at and he'd laid on the charm, pleasantly surprised but unbothered that you weren't interested. From there, something of a strange friendship developed and eventually evolved into him moving in with you when he officially moved to the area and didn't wanna live on base. The whole thing worked out better than you ever imagined that it would, mostly because he was the first roommate you didn't actively hate. You even did things you weren't entirely excited to do, like host Super Bowl parties for his friends.

"Look at this!" Jake interrupted your stare down with the bread shelves, trying to decide between the ciabatta and the french loaves. When you turned he was holding a chocolate cake shaped like a heart, "for Valentines."

"I have a date," you reminded him.

"On Valentines?" He asked, looking down at the cake and then back at you.

"Yeah remember, I told you? I literally put it on the calendar."

"Then we can have it the day before." He insisted, putting it in the cart.

"On Galentine's day?"

"More like Pal-entines day."

"Ehh," you cringed and laughed when he rolled his eyes at you. "Did you get everything?"

"Yeah, and that girl's number too," he smiled, waving his phone at you.

"Naturally," you replied, "hey maybe you can share the cake with her."

Jake shook his head, "first date on Valentines? Yikes," he said and then, "you aren't going on a first date on Valentines are you?"

"No...it's like our third date." You replied, "I've literally detailed both previous dates."

"Yeah and you still haven't told me, your nearest and dearest friend, who it is you're going out with," Jake pointed out. He was right, obviously. You hadn't mentioned who you had been dating. You were usually too transparent with each other and you wanted to tell him it was just that...it was someone he knew and if things didn't go well or fizzled out or anything, you didn't want Jake to feel like he needed to get involved. You loved him and he was your best friend but sometimes he went into older brother mode and you didn't need him thinking he needed to fix something or move something along that didn't need to be fixed or moved along.

"I will...but not right now, when we're supposed to be grocery shopping," you replied.

Jake stuck his tongue out at you and grabbed the grocery list from the cart, scanning over the items you hadn't crossed out yet, "does this guy like football?"

"Why would that matter?" You asked, grabbing the ciabatta bread finally and putting it in your cart, "I don't like football."

"Don't like football?" He practically laughed out loud as he said it, "darling you were literally screaming at the TV during play-offs."

"Um," you dragged out the 'm' as you shot him a skeptical look, feigning disbelief at his claim, "I don't remember that."

"I definitely remember that. Coyote as my witness, I have never seen someone that excited about football outside my dad," he replied. "Hey, it's not Coyote is it?"

"What's not Coyote?"

"This guy you're dating."

"It is not Coyote," you replied, "I promise you will be the first to know if I feel like it's definitely going somewhere...and it won't be Coyote."

"Just checking."

You rolled your eyes, taking back the grocery list from him, "grocery shopping Hangman, grocery shopping."

Duckvember Day 12: Mother Duck (Part 1)

SO THE SET UP FOR THIS STORY:

MY NEGAVERSE HEADCANON FOR SOME MAGICSTONE FAM

Grimstone - Gladstone’s negaverse version. A hard working warlock and stuff. Lives at his (deceased) Grandma’s farm. Hates (Nega) Scrooge with a passion which has nothing to do with this story but it's a fact that needs to be known

Magica - a former Paladin (paranormal/witch hunter type) that was a light bearer in her former job (a term they used for healing and backup support/fighter type magic user. Because you can’t call them witches when working with paladins because witches are BAD.) Super nice stepford wife energy. Blonde for some reason because Negaverse rules you can’t make me change it.

Faustina- Their daughter and a bundle of hellish joy. 7ish years old in this fic

Kage - @cataradical ‘s OC that in his is 10 years old. He's a clone of Negaduck made in a SHUSH lab that got destroyed. Faustina found him a few years ago and thought he was cool and would hang out at the dump. Then He broke into Grim’s secret storage at their farm. He looked at this cussing angry dirty child and was like, “this is my son.”

Oirn - also an OC of @cataradical Left at their doorstep as a baby by a jerk Paladin. Probably 2 years old at this point?? Very quiet Canadian goose that can stare into your soul.

“Why does your dad having us learn sword fighting? It's not the dark ages!” Kage complained as he dragged his training sword behind him. Faustina gave a shrug like she didn’t know. She then followed it with an answer.

“He told me once that his Great Grandma told him when he was a kid that the world is gonna end and there will be a breakdown of the supply chain and guns will become useless once bullets can’t even be made at home SO you can’t rely on just guns,” Faustina explained as he walked. She was giving her training sword a few swings, “Also good if my magic gets magic blocked. Then I can just stab them instead!”

Faustina proceeded to demonstrate with a few jabs in the air with her training sword. Kage rolled his eyes, still not impressed with the idea of sword fighting in general.

“Whatever, I’m not gonna show up for training anymore. This is dumb,” he complained as they got to the storage shed they were told to put their weapons in after their training session.

“You’re just mad because I tagged you THREE TIMES in a ROW,” Faustina teased.

“I got you several times too!” Kage defended himself. Before Faustina could reply back they both heard the bell from the nearby farm house.

“Ah yeah breakfast!” Faustina started to run to the house, “If I get there first I’m gonna eat ALL the bacon!”

“Oh NO you DON’T!” Kage replied as he ran to follow her. When he started to pass her, she tried to elbow him. He dodged though, and got to the porch before her, “Maybe if you didn’t wear dumb dresses you could run faster!”

Faustina made a snort not that much different than an angry hog. Kage opened the farmhouse door before she then bum-rushed at him. He got a very strong head butt in the stomach from his sister. It knocked them both to the ground in the entryway of the house. He pulled on her hair to get her to back off. The response from Faustina was just a giggle as she got to her feet and offered to help him up. It was just the usual sibling rough housing.

The two came to the kitchen table. Orin was already in his booster seat eating an apple fritter. There was a large plate of bacon and one with sausages. Magica was loading a serving bowl with freshly made scrambled eggs. As usually the table had the plates and silverware placed out like it was a fancy dinner.

Kage and Faustina quickly sat down and started serving themselves. Faustina put a piece of bacon in her mouth for every one she put on her plate. Kage noticed this and started to do the same with the sausage links.

“Save some for your Dad!” Magica said to both of the eager children. She put some of the scrambled eggs on Orin’s plate before putting the bowl on the table.

“He’s not my Dad,” Kage stated as he grabbed some bacon to add to his plate.

“Oh, but you have called him Dad a few times,” Magica mentioned to contradict him.

“UNDER DURESS!” the cranky kid replied, not quite pronouncing duress right. Kage may have misunderstood the meaning of the word too. The young duck knew he did call Grim Dad sometimes when he needed his attention right away. He then gave Orn a glare even though he had nothing to do with the conversation, “How come he gets one of those things.”

“He has those all the time for breakfast since he doesn’t like all the bacon and sausage that much. Did you want one of the fritters? I made a whole batch,” Magica offered as she headed back towards the kitchen. She pulled out a container that had more of the pastries in them.

“I don’t like them, I just want to know why he gets special stuff for breakfast,” Kage muttered with scrambled eggs in his mouth.

“Because he’s a baby picky eater,” Faustina answered before their mother could, “Babies get spoiled. Do you want to be a spoiled baby?”

“N-No!” he stammered at the direct question. He then flung a spoonful of egg at Faustina. She didn’t complain at all about the attack. Instead she just ate the splattered egg off where it landed on her arm, “Ew.”

“You ate spilled pudding off the floor and say ew to me eating arm egg!?” Faustina retorted back.

“YOU ate it off the floor too!” Kage accused and he flung more egg at his sister.

“Alright you too. You need to eat more than you’re throwing around,” Magica tsked as she pulled out a cloth napkin from her apron. She wiped off egg from Faustina’s clothes and her beak. She went over to wipe his bill as well. He was much cleaner than his erratic siblings but Magica just wanted to make sure. Kage grumbled and stuffed his mouth with a handful of bacon and chewed loudly.

Grimstone finally came into the kitchen, “Sorry I was tidying up something and couldn’t come right away. I hope there is some left for me?”

“Oh yes!” Magica answered before she took a glance at the kitchen table. There wasn’t really much left, “Actually, I can cook you up some more.”

“Ah, don’t worry about it dear. I can make something for myself. I know you need to go run some errands. I can feed myself,” Grimstone replied before giving Magica a light kiss on the cheek, “I’ll clean up the kitchen too.”

“Oh, thank you!” she replied as she took off her apron.

“Taking Orin with you?” Grimstone asked. The youngest usually went wherever Magica went.

“Ah, it's a short trip. He’ll be fine with you for a little while?” Magica asked.

“Of course,” Grim replied as he started to make himself a pot of coffee. Orin, hearing he was not going with his mother on errands, made a soft noise.

“Oh don’t worry sweetie. I’ll be back before you know it. You keep your father and sister out of trouble, okay?” she said to the youngest child. Orin just gave her a stare as if to say he was not happy with this arrangement, “I’ll be right back okay?”

She gave Orin a kiss on the forehead. Kage let out a disapproving snort at the show of affection to the youngest.

Magica left the kitchen to go get her purse and get ready to go out. As she was getting her keys by the front door, Kage walked by out of the kitchen.

“Oh, would you like to come with me?” Magica offered it to the boy.

“Uh… Sure. I’ll go grab Faustina,” he replied, a little confused by Magica’s sudden offer.

“She can stay here and help watch Orin. We can go just the two of us,” she explained while putting on her coat. Kage looked even more confused by this. He couldn’t remember a time just he and Magica went on an outing. She seemed to pick up on that, “Even Grim has taken Orin to the witches market without me.”

“Are we going to the witch market?” Kage asked. It was very hard to tell by his tone if he was asking because he liked that idea or not.

“No, just the regular grocery store,” she gave a moment's pause, “I'll get you some junk food. Whatever you want.”

“Oh hell yeah let's go then,” Kage replied as he went out the front door. He already headed to the car. Magica grabbed his jacket, “You need to wear a coat! It’s a little chilly today!”

Kage grumbled and pulled out a pick to unlocked the passenger door before Magica even got to the car. He quickly got into his seat and waited for Magica. She tsked at him.

“Couldn’t you wait two minutes for me to open the car,” she said as she got into the car herself.

“You should be glad I didn’t hotwire the car and already started going there myself!” he replied. Kage then hissed when Magica reached over to put on his seat belt for him. He didn’t stop her though.

It was a short quiet car ride. Quiet as in the two didn’t talk even though Magica asked Kage how his sword lesson was today. He just replied with a grumble. He then turned on the radio to some heavy metal station. Magica didn’t change it even though she normally would.

Once parked at the grocery store, Kage was quick to get out to start running inside. Magica shouted after him, “Kage! Grab a cart for me please! Please wait for me.”

Kage grumbled but did as he was told. Surprisingly.

“You need to keep up with me!” Kage stated as Magic came up to the cart he pulled out.

“I’ll try my best,” she replied while pushing the cart, “Now we need to get the main stuff I came for first before you can pick out what junk food you want.”

“Oh like hell I’m doing that,” Kage responded before scurrying off towards the candy aisle. Magica sighed and proceeded to go to the fresh department first to start getting what she needed on a list.

It didn’t take Kage long to come back with his arms full of candy to dump in the cart. Magica didn’t object to the amount of candy he brought. However she did yell out a ‘hey!’ to him as he ran back to the candy aisle. She pursued him while pushing the cart, “at least get some chips too. Junk food isn’t only candy.”

She paused before entering the candy aisle. There was something in her peripheral vision that did not sit right. Magica was a well trained former Paladin and did not look directly at it when she perceived it. Instead she reached out at a display at the end cap of the aisle. For a moment she pretended to be very interested in the oatmeal displayed there. She grabbed a box of the apple oatmeal and put it in her cart before turning down the candy aisle like nothing was wrong.

The aisle did have a camera with a little video screen for loss prevention purposes. It had thick static lines that went across the display. The set up clearly had many physical attacks to it in the past leaving it in rough shape. When Magica glanced up at it though, she was able to decipher what she saw.

The person was not in uniform. However the way his clothes fit felt like one. An unwrinkled black dress shirt and pants. The canine's eyes scanned the area like he was looking for something. Magica could easily read he was someone looking for a target. Not any type of security officer though. It was obvious to her this person was on the hunt.

Magica didn’t make any friends when her and her brother left the paladin order she was in. The witch’s concern right now was this person was looking for her.

“Alright Kage. That’s enough for now. I think we’ll have a little change of plan for dinner tonight. How about we get pizza later for dinner instead. Or burgers. Any fast food you like. Whatever you prefer,” Magica offered as she pushed her cart further down the aisle. Quite purposely away from the person on the hunt.

She expected Kage to be happy with the offer of a fast food dinner. Instead he seemed offended, “Do you even know what I’d prefer?”

“Ah, well you have a wide variety of stuff you like. Let's go check out now and discuss it in the car, okay?” she looked behind her to make sure Kage was following behind her. He was trailing behind her with a scowl on his bill. When she turned to look back in the direction she was going she noticed another unusual gentleman glancing past every aisle. Same outfit as the previous person she saw, but now also wearing a tie. She turned to face away from him. Once again she pretended to look at a product on the shelf. Kage huffed at her sudden pause, not knowing what was going on.

The man turned down their aisle but did not take any notice of Magica. However, he did take notice of Kage. He gave the grumbling child a glance as he kept walking past. The stranger then gave a tilt of his head signal to another person nearby.

Magica had seen this and made the tactical decision to still pretend everything was normal.

Grim and Faustina had given her vague details about Kage’ origins. The logical conclusion is this was ‘SHUSH’ looking for the boy.

“What's going on?” Kage raised an eyebrow. He was young but not dumb.

“Dear, let's just ring out what you picked and I’ll explain once we’re headed home,” Magica said as she gave Kage a pinch on his cheek. He hated when she did that but he let her.

“Are you trying to figure out my favorite things because you make the dumb baby whatever he likes all the time?” Kage stated as he followed Magica down the aisle. Though he would often refer to Faustina as his sister, he never really did call Orin his brother. Dumb baby was a better way to describe him.

Magica kept her eyes peeled for anyone else acting suspicious as she casually walked towards the check out, “I do realize that I assumed you like a lot of the same things Faustina does. I can make whatever you like the most.”

“Okay. What do I like the most?” Kage crossed his arms as he asked. Magica was busy unloading the cart for the cashier. She had noticed at least three other people acting suspiciously. The former paladin was all too familiar with how someone behaved when they had their eyes on a target.

“Bacon butter cheese sticks?” she replied to the boy.

“No,” Kage grumbled, “You even make stuff for when the stupid redhead or Macawber kid visits. You know their favorites and not mine!”

“Like I said, I thought you like all the same things Faustina enjoys. I’m sorry I don’t know. I’ll make or buy whatever you like and keep it in the house. Okay?” Magica tried to still use her diplomatic mother tone. She wasn’t frustrated with Kage, but more the situation of having to discuss this while it was very possible there were agents planning an attack on them.

Kage made a grumbing noise that wasn't any clear words. He stormed out before Magica could pay for the junk food. Magica said a soft sorry to the cashier before running out after him. She glanced to see at least two of the suspicious strangers were following them out.

Magica was able to still run at a fast speed even in heels. She caught up with Kage in moments and picked him up under her arm like a sack of potatoes. He didn’t even have a chance to complain before she ducked with him behind a random parked car, “Go to the car and wait. I’ll take care of this.”

Kage opened his beak to try to complain again but was shocked when Magica handed him the car gets. It meant this was serious. She pulled a pouch of dust from her purse and sprinkled it on Kage. The young duck sneezed at that which drew the attention of one of the strangers.

From her purse she also pulled out a flask and whispered, “Una strega travestita da pecora è più di un avvertimento.”

“What are you doing?” Kage muttered, not as quietly as he could have.

“Car, now!” she commanded him. Normally he would complain at being told what to do but this surprised him so much he went ahead and looked for the car. He had ducked behind a different car when he had seen the suspicious canine in a black shirt. Kage began to put together what was happening.

When he looked in the side mirror of the car he was hiding behind things got even more interesting. He could not see himself reflected in the mirror. He assumed the dumb glitter Magica had sprinkled on him had done that. The young duck was left to wonder why she hasn’t done the same to herself.

That was answered for him as he saw HIMSELF a distance away coming into view. This other ‘Kage’ gave a whistle to get the attention of the now four suspicious men dressed in black.

“Hey, stupid heads! Are you idiots looking for me?” this other Kage waved his arms at the supposed SHUSH agents.

“I do not sound like that,” Kage muttered to himself. Instead of heading to Magica’s car he was watching what was unfolding. None of the supposed agents spoke to the fake Kage.

“What are you here for? Little ole me?” the fake Kage stepped towards the one closest to him, “Who sent you? Tell them to bugger off!”

The real Kage grumbled to himself. He did not like this impersonation at all. Other people going to the grocery store ignored the commotion. It was an average thing to see in the Negaverse. For all they knew it could have been security going after a shoplifter.

One of the other black dressed men came behind the fake Kage. He raised a taser to fire at them. The fake Kage though had heard him and dropped to the ground. The taser fire then went to the other agent that had been in front of the Kage copy.

The Magica-Kage let out a sinister giggle and got up to their feet in one gymnastic style motion. Despite being small in his form, her kick was still had full adult power when she attacked the man holding the fired taser. She heard the footsteps of a third agent coming behind her with a weapon as well. The disguised witch made another dodge roll to avoid what she assumed was another taser.

However, she had miscalculated. Instead of a taser that could be dodged, it was some new-fangled energy pulse gun. It would knock out a target and could not be dodged since it was a sound not something that physically hit. The fake Kage was knocked out but still kept their disguise. The magic was from a potion not a spell so it wasn’t reliant on Magica being conscious.

The agent that had been kicked to the ground got up while taking out ear plugs he had in.

“Good job. But where did the woman go?” the canine agent asked the one with the pulse gun.

“It's no concern. We just have to deal with the target. Let’s get him back to base,” the other agent replied. The real Kage, still invisible, was sneaking closer to them. One of the agents picked up the fake Kage and started walking to an ambulance parked nearby.

He was very tempted to just attack the one closest to him. But he was smart enough to know that would just send the other three after him, invisible or not. He could get on the ambulance while invisible and see where their base was. Maybe there would be an opportunity to attack then if at any point Magica was left unattended.

Kage also realized he didn’t have to go with at all. He could technically drive the car back to the farm and get Grimstone for help. He didn’t have to help Magica. He liked Faustina and Grim much more than her. But what he knew of SHUSH, it would be better to act ASAP and not waste the time it would take to get to the farm and back. And he didn’t even know where this base was. And Magica was kinda nice to him. And could cook.

When they loaded the fake Kage on the real one was able to slip in quietly. To not be bumped into by the two other agents in the back he tucked himself in a corner by the backside of the driver's seat. There he waited to strike.

Super Bowl

I really like the Super Bowl for some reason. It's the only day of the year that I care about watching a football game. I think I just like the idea of going to a party for it and eating lots of good food!

My husband and I normally go to my dad's house to watch it with him and his wife, just the four of us. We usually make something yummy and bring it over, and we have a bunch of different snacks that they made too. And I always buy a couple of squares on the boards at work to try to win some money. It gives me something to do during the game since I don't actually understand what's going on, lol.

But this year, both people who usually do the boards aren't doing them, and my dad and stepmom are spending it with my sister in Minnesota. So it's just the two of us hanging out at home with the kitties and making our own food, but that's nice too. I had the Puppy Bowl on while we made stuffed mushrooms and sausage rolls, and we also have some cookies and ice cream for dessert.

I don't like that it's been a week later than it used to be for the past few years. I wish they would put it back to the first Sunday in February instead of the second one because now it's too close to Valentine's Day. And I wish they would move it to a Saturday night because it's hard to go to work the next day. In the time zone where I live, the game doesn't start until about 6:30 so it goes until 10 or 11. I guess it's because they think more people are home on Sundays, but people would still watch it. Oh well.

Even more stuff happened and I’m still trying to get caught up

Friday April 14 2023

First day of school

I stated my day with a nice breakfast.

I took a bite of the fish before taking a picture. The orange thing near the fhis is some kind og gourd or mellon. It has dark green skin with an orange inside and it tases good, kind of like sweet potato.

Then I had a 20 minute walk to campus.

The way that classes are set up is diffrent than what I’m used to. Here I only have class once a week (except japanese language which I have every day) and each class is 1 hour and 45 minutes. as aposed to my 50 minute classes 2 or 3 times a week. Fortunatly all of my classes are taught in english (except for japanese language).

I started off the school day with Japanese language (which was a struggle, but not just for me). Then we got to my interesting class; Japanese History and Literature! This class is so cool, we get to learn about histry and culture throught litrature! For our first assingment we needed to read the first chapter of the Talke of Genji.

After class the girls and I walked home. I stopped and bought some mochi and dango, and Sunny and I bought takoyaki!

Takiyaki is a ball of batter filled with octopus and topped with sause, mayo and fish flakes. I’t is SOOOOOOO good! Dango has many types but the one I was most familure with (because of anime) is the green, white, and pink one. It is this slightly sweet chewy ball of goodness on a stick! The mochi I had had has a strawberry inside and was super delicious. What a great reward for making it through my fist day!

Then at dinner we had desert. It was matcha jellly with red been paste. So the match jelly was not sweet at all, and the red been paste was puprsiningly sweet so I had to make sure that every bite of jelly had bean paste but it was realy good and I’m glad for the experiance.

Saterday April 15 2023

Got to sleep in a bit, but eventyaly went down to breakfast (at like 8:30).

The whiteish thing next to the sausage and broccoli was a cabage roll of some kind.

Later in the day I went grocerie shopping because my dorm dosn’t feed us lunch, or at all on Sundays. One of the shops I went to had live fish that you could buy! As well as other very fresh sea food that was dead.

I also saw this Demon Slayer candy that reminded me of the grave of the Fireflys candy I had with friends before coming to Japan.

So here is a minor mistory in my life. I have been eating this plant and it’s pretty good, but I don’t know what it is. There is a picture of it on a bag of sesame seads. I would love to know what it is, so if you know tell me.

To the suprise of no one (I’ms sure) I bought instant noodles for food for the next few days. But I also bought some other delicous snacks.

This is POPO and is basicaly a inverted pocky stick. Filling on the inside cracker on the outside.

And this is Dango but with a sweet soy sause glaze.

Dinner was good altho the bowl with what looks like fruit was deciving. It was not sweet like I expected. The large white chunks that look like fruit, felt like fruit but were not sweet at all and the pink and white things may have been seafood of some kind? Overeall a strange thing that my mouth was not expecting but tased good once I got over the visual deception.

Sunday April 16

I walked to church by myself! I found out that my church building was only a 17 minute walk away.

One my way to church I spotted Mario!

Once there people were very welocoming and I got to go to a YSA class. It was nice and there were even a few other people who spoke English, so I was able to know what the lesson was about.

On my way back I spotted this funny little drink in a vending machine.

Later in the evening there was a get to know you party for my dorm. They fed us pizza, fried chicken, and drinks, and had party games!

The fried chicken was realy good. The pizza was flavor/topping cobinations i had never even dreamed of before, and still don’t know what all of them were.

My pizza was good but stange with the toppings of core and scalupt potatos.

I got to witness how other eat pizza... with chopsticks! I kid you not.

They even had donuts for desert! I had a strawberry glazed one.

Then we played Bingo and I won a prize.

It was realy fun and great to meet so many kind people. I enjoyed myself. My prize was a face mask.

Monday April 17

Back into classes! Strated off the day strong with a healthy breakfast.

1 pice of chicken, an potato croquette, egg salad, arugala salad, a noodle and seaweed salad, rice, and miso soup. A superb breakfast.

My classes on Monday start later than the rest of the week so I had a nice time relaxing and getting ready for the day before heading off to class. my first class of the day was Japanese Tradional and Contemporary Culture. This is my FAVORITE class. My teacher wears a kimono for every lesson. This class we learn about hisorical customs as well as modern customs and why they exist and the meaning behind them. For this class we also get to learn how to put on a kimomo, do a tradional tea ceramony, do tradional flower aranging and so much more! IT’S SO COOL AND INTERESTING!!!!!! My teacher had cute crabs on her obi and let me take a picture.

After class I went to lunch and got the daily special. I had no idea what it was because I can’t read the vending machine. Luckily it was delicious.

I once again got a potato croquette and fried meat on a bed of cabbage, as well as a stiff seaweed salad ( it my have been dreid fish?, im not sure), miso soup, the orange mellon-gourd thing with creamed egg, and of corse rice.

After luch we struggled through japanese class, then headed home. For dinner I had this meal. Gotta say it was not my favorite, but the egg/tofu (not sure) pepper and green been side dish was realy good.

tokyo tohoku trip - day 13.

this is going to be a more relaxing day for me as well, as i am still feeling exhausted from all the activities for the past week or so. we started the day at a nearby bakery - sandwich parlor matsumura サンドウィッチパーラーまつむら, which bakes and sells freshly made breads and is popular among office workers.

i ate an egg, ham and cucumber sandwich and a fried sausage roll with iced coffee, very simple and it fills the stomach to start the day. after our quick breakfast, i went to shibuya again by myself to visit miyashita park 宮下公園, another new building in shibuya which is very popular.

the building is not high, but it has a whole street of izakaya at the ground floor, some of the branded stores and lots of western cafes. on the rooftop, it is a park which has garden area, a starbucks with industrial design, rock climbing and skate zone. when i was there, it was rather quiet and it’s super nice to just walk and sit on the benches and just chill.

after that, i also briefly visited bic camera ビックカメラ渋谷東口店 next door to purchase a travel sim card for my next trip. this is super convenient and bic camera has a lot of options in terms of data capacity and number of days combination. this place is also a good option if you want to buy gadgets and some eletronics.

i met up with my friend again at nihonbashi for lunch, our initial plan was to visit a tempura place but there was a queue, so we went to torisanwa 鶏三和 at coredo muromachi 2 instead. this store specialize in oyako don, so we ordered the most popular option which has their own chicken breed, with runny egg on white rice with miso soup. the egg is definitely creamy and flavorful and the chicken is so tender with smooth texture, definitely an enjoyable meal and recommended if you want to eat a good oyako don.

after lunch, i walked to takashimaya for my pokemon cafe appointment. this appointment is quite difficult to get, you would need to book it one month in advance. each appointment slot is 90 minutes and the menu is on the iPad for ordering, so it’s pretty simple. i ordered parfait and tea since i already had lunch. while waiting for my food, i got to take a lot of photos around the cafe, you can also ask the staff for help with that. chef pikachu also made an appearance to do some dance with all the customers, it’s very cute and the staff are also very energetic to create a lively atmosphere. the parfait taste alright, a sweet dessert which looks very cute and too nice to eat. the fruit tea i ordered comes in a very pretty teapot and it’s blue color, taste was fine as well, but it’s definitely more aesthetic than tasty.

after my time at the cafe is over, i went shopping at the pokemon store next door, which has so many plushies, stationery, and other merchandises, i did have to limited what i get because i have very limited luggage space. foreigners may also get the duty free discount when you pay if you show your passport.

after i have done with shopping, i wanted to take the shuttle bus to the dinner place, however i ended up on a different bus and just took the bus for an entire loop and just enjoy the views around nihonbashi as the sun sets. and end up taking a train instead.

my friend and i met up for dinner at tsujihan つじ半 for their famous seafood bowl. there was a long queue at the restaurant as there’s very limited seats, i think we waited for an hour or so to get it. as it was our first time, we just decided to order the most expensive option which has a big portion of minced tuna (negitoro), crab meat, sea urchin (uni) and overflowing of ikura on top of white rice. they also give us a separate plate of sashimi. the portion is really huge but it was so good and so satisfying, every single bite is filled with awesome seafood and all the flavors just burst in your mouth, which is a nice sensation. everything mixed well together and i can’t stop eating it. when you have a few bites left, you may pass the bowl back to the staff for fish soup. the soup will cook the remaining sashimi just like ochazuke, and it’s such a heartwarming and satisfying way to finish the meal as the soup is very good. i can see why the long queue but it would be best to come early to avoid waiting for too long.

after such an amazing meal, we just head home to rest up and i also did some packing since i am leaving tomorrow. there’s just so many things to pack!

Harley wear socks except one had hole where you can see her sausage right toe poking out and wears small white tank top with small underwear giving her asscheeks a wedgie throng, you can see her belly button hang out.

Meanwhile in Gotham Wonder Woman was wondering about Harley whereabouts, she started looking for the ex queen of crime all over Gotham till one day she heard a hint of Harley location and she hopped in her car and drove to Hope Country, to confront Harley and know why she didn’t come back to Gotham. Wonder Woman no longer worked as a super hero since there was zero crime

Butterflies in the stomach pretty much constantly at the moment re London. I got on t'interweb and booked a hotel as close to the start as I could afford. It (like the Manchester one) is no payment up front and free cancellation. Thank goodness I've been saving for a couple of years, putting pound coins in a money box. I think I can cover both hotel stays with the contents of that money box.

Today started with an early run. Up at 6.45am and out for 5k. As I've been finfing recently, I really want to run the night before I go out, but the morning of, I could very easily be tempted to just lie on in bed. This morning however, thought of possibly doing Londaon, never mind Manchester, got me up and out. I thought about starting out a bit faster than the rest of the week. I am supposed to do one slightly faster paced run. All this morning proved to me is that I have no idea how to run to feel. I was not faster at all. And I've no intention of even trying tomorrow. I'm out on a social run and I will already be feeling the pressure of running with other people, never mind adding pace to that.

This morning was cold enough to need long sleeves and no shorts. Definately seeing the Winter start to think about arriving. Positive to come from the run today was that, as much as I still don't enjoy the actual run, I didn't feel bad afterwards. I am getting fitter.

I feel good about my food again. After my run, I had some Tailwind Recovery. Not wholefood, but not high cal, and has a decent amount of protien. That's what the Recovery drink is all about. I haven't used it for ages, but it's good to haveif I don't have time to eat after exercise.

TGG and I went for lunch after parkrun. Mine was high enough in cals, vegan sausages in a white bread roll, with sweet potato fries, but I compensated for that by making soup for dinner. It was one of my "use up the veg that's in the house" soups.

600g potatoes

400g red peppers

400g onions

200g edamame beans

4 tbs nutritional yeast

salt

onion salt

Chinese five spice

Chop the potatoes, peppers and onions and add to a pot of boiling water (about a litre) bring down to a simmer and add the seasoning and five spice. Cook till very tender, then blend with a hand blender. Add the edamame beans and cook through. Stir in the nutritional yeast. The pot makes about four big bowls worth about 280 cals per bowl. I ate two bowls. With a punnet of grapes as a snake, I was ona about 2200 cals for the day, but I'd earned 500 from the run and a walk after lunch. That's okay on balance.

It's occured to me over the last day or two that this is all very repetative. I'm writng...

ate some food (it was healthy or not)

drank some water (or didn't)

weight went down a bit, weight went up again

This strikes me as dull, yet it's what I started out to do. This is me, one time fat, then fit, middle aged woman. One time super enthusiastic runner who found some form in her fiftieth year in a sport she'd never considerd earlier in life, then lost a lot of her joy in it.

My running mojo fucked off and I'd no idea how to get it back. My get up and go got up and went. The blog was to make me honest. If I can write about my struggle, see it in black and white, maybe it will help keep me accountable. It's repetative because that's how running training is and that's how weight loss attempts are. It probably is boring to read, but I think I'll find it useful to go over if I hit a slump.

1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese

Steps for making Armadillo Eggs

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Cut each jalapeno in half removing the stem and seeds. Place precooked sausage in 1 half of the jalapeno and sprinkle the other half with cheese, roughly reforming the jalapeno.

Pop open the package of croissant rolls. On a work surface, unroll 1 roll placing the longest side toward you.

Place the stuffed jalapeno on top of the dough and roll away from you. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining peppers and dough. Sprinkle the tops with remaining cheese. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
