🎙️🏄‍♂️ About This Surfboard Podcast:  In this episode, we dive into the compelling story of Paulo and the creation of his Surfing Village in the Telos Islands. The journey begins with Paulo and his friend Glenn setting out to find the perfect, uncrowded surf spot. Despite challenges, they eventually discover Pell, one of 101 islands, noting a remarkable left-hander wave at Church Island. The adventure continues with a local boat journey, where they confront the true size and power of the waves, adapting their surfing techniques to master long, perfect rides. Paulo's friend resides in a modest wooden house, highlighting the simple, primitive lifestyle on the island focused on basic survival needs. Despite financial hurdles, Paulo successfully negotiates a 50-year land rental deal, laying the foundation for his dream surf village. “If you believe you deserve it, the universe will serve it.” There exists on the interweb a plethora of quotes about the manifestations of dreams. They are trite and hackneyed… but cliches are boring because they are true. This is a condensed origin story of how the surfing village in the Telos islands region came into existence. Condensed into two parts. And it should be noted that yours truly had a technical flare up… a glitch and the first 25 minutes of this conversation got deleted. I will summarize the best I can here and then hopefully splice us cleanly into the conversation where the recording picks up. This story is really a dream. OR it speaks to the power of dreams.
