1 year na pala... Even though you're no longer by my side, you will stay forever in my heart. “Don’t you care about what others will think of you?”

Sylyn narrowed her eyes, looking up at her large companion. Vando’s expression was stoic. Not unlike how it normally was, but… they were on a date. There was no reason for him to have such a cold expression.

“What do you mean?” she asked in response, hoping to understand more of where he was coming from. A smile pulled at his lips, but it was pained.

“Being seen with the likes of me,” Vando clarified, “don’t you care what they will think?”

Sylyn frowned, “why should I?”

“I’m a death knight. I leave nothing but suffering in my wake. People have lost countless loved ones to us, and were not eager nor pleased to know that we were walking in their ranks, or amongst their city. My presence alone can be a trigger enough.”

“It doesn’t matter to me, though,” Sylyn hissed, grabbing his hand in a fierce grip, “it never mattered to me. I don’t care if people don’t like it, because I like you.”

She reached up to grab his neck, and he gave no resistance when she jerked his head down to her level. He wouldn’t look at her, and Sylyn retaliated by pressing her lips to his, right there in the open.

Because she really didn’t care, and she would do whatever she needed to in order to prove that.

“I don’t care, Vando,” she squeezed his hand, and his eyes seemed to shift to her, “you’re not the death knight the lich king made you. You’ve become something else, for the better.”

Vando leaned his head against her shoulder, “I can’t say that I deserve you, Sylyn.”

“Whether or not you deserve me doesn’t matter either, because the only thing that matters, is that I want you,” she wrapped her arms around his neck, holding his head to her shoulder. She couldn’t stop the purrs as they started to rumble in the back of her throat, “do you want me?”

Vando’s chuckle reverberated through her chest as he finally wrapped one strong arm around her.

“Yes.”
