“We’ll see,” Andrew says, spooning a huge bite of ice cream into his mouth as Dion mirrors him but breaks eye contact as he scrunches his eyes closed and clutches at his head.

“Brain freeze?” Neil asks while Smith pats Dion’s head consolingly. Dion nods, “As usual your mouth is cashing checks you can’t pay.”

“Coming from the king of bad checks.” Andrew says having heard from Aaron about all of the various situations Neil’s mouth had gotten him into throughout college. “Seems like you’re a bad influence on the youth.”

I love (love love love) FFS, and I was just wondering -- do you know where you are in the arc of that story? (Like, whether you're 50% finished, or 75%, or totally TBD?) Because I would, no exaggeration, read 1 million+ words of Efnisien on his journey. Just interested in where you see yourself in the completion of the narrative. Thanks!

I don't really know where I am in the arc of the story, having no chapter plan and only a very vague idea where I'm headed (plus one specific conflict event that's still to come) is like... makes it hard!

I'd say I'm definitely over 50% through. Other than that, I'm not sure. I used to think the story would finish around 125~, but now I'm genuinely not sure.

I know how much closer I'll be when I can get Efnisien into a BDSM club without him being heavily triggered by it. Because there's a particular event coming that, when it happens, I'll know I'm much closer to the end of the story.

But setting up for that is taking a lot of time, because we have to go at Efnisien's pace and I kind of can't 'force' him to be ready for things he's not. In fact the latest few chapters have shown me that he's much further away from say, things like masturbation and sexual contact than I initially thought he was. (And that's okay! That's not actually 100% crucial for the story, but it does remind me that Efnisien goes at his own pace).

I don't think the story will end up at 1 million words! But I do think it could end up around 600 or 700k, and I have very complicated feelings about that, but I also love this story and Efnisien and Arden and Dr Gary (and Kadek and Nate and Janusz and Mika) too much to stop. And I'm not going to shortcut the story now that I've set up this pace? Though we're reading a point where I may be able to skip a couple of weeks ahead, but we'll see.

TBD Chapter 1 (Parts 68 - 134)

Andrew Minyard has just signed on with the Atlanta Wolves so that he can support his twin and his twin's wife as they work on residency and get ready to welcome his nieces into the world. He may not give a shit about Exy, but it does pay well.

And Atlanta is paying him well enough to ignore the awkward tension of having to play with one of his college teammates again. Neil Josten has only gotten more interesting since the last time Andrew saw him when he'd graduated from Palmetto State.
