There is a pressing need for reforms within India's intelligence framework, addressing coordination deficits and accountability lapses

The imperative for a comprehensive overhaul of India's intelligence framework becomes apparent when considering the existence of 14 intelligence agencies, each with varying and occasionally overlapping responsibilities. These agencies have come into being in response to strategic shifts and past shortcomings. In the aftermath of the 1962 conflict with China, the Directorate General of Security (DGS) was established within the Intelligence Bureau (IB). Subsequently, following the 1965 war with Pakistan, external intelligence was segregated into a distinct entity, the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), which also birthed the Special Bureau aimed at enhancing organisational effectiveness. After the 1999 Kargil conflict, the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO) were instituted.

However, persistent issues stem from the lack of coordination among these agencies. The absence of a Director of National Intelligence or a Coordinating Minister exacerbates this problem. Accountability remains a concern. 

The intelligence apparatus, entrenched in the colonial-era police structure, grapples with adapting to contemporary challenges. The Intelligence Bureau (IB), primarily oriented towards domestic and political affairs, encounters limitations in counterintelligence endeavours. Despite initiatives like the Multi-Agency Centre (MAC), cooperation deficiencies persist.

La empresa nace con capitales nacionales fundada por Torcuato Di Tella en 1911. El negocio original de la compañía fue la fabricación de amasadoras mecánicas de pan. Posteriormente la producción se diversificó incorporando la fabricación de heladeras, lavarropas, cocinas, televisores, motonetas, furgonetas, automóviles y elementos para la industria privada y el sector público, como equipos de bombeo para petróleo, grandes transformadores eléctricos, caños de acero y generadores para locomotoras diésel-eléctricas. Para los años 1940, la empresa llegó a ser la industria metalmecánica más grande de América del Sur.

La empresa fue nacionalizada en 1972 y en 1986, durante el gobierno de Raúl Alfonsín, fue desmembrada y vendida por separado a tres grupos empresarios privados (Techint, Pérez Companc y Aurora), quebrando definitivamente en 1996.[2]

El 30 de abril de 2014, se reinauguró la planta de Avellaneda, con una inversión de más de 35 millones de dólares.[3]

El gobernador Gustavo Sáenz recibió en Casa de Gobierno a directivos de Tecpetrol y otras autoridades. Durante el encuentro se presentó los planes de inversión de la empresa del grupo Techint luego de haber adquirido Alpha Lithium Corporation con proyectos de litio en salares de la Puna salteña.

Uno de ellos es el de Tolillar, donde la empresa espera avanzar con un proyecto industrial con capacidad de producción de 30.000 toneladas anuales de carbonato de litio.

“Nuestra política de Estado es garantizar seguridad jurídica, reglas de juego claras y previsibilidad para proteger las inversiones mineras que generan empleo y desarrollo de proveedores a lo largo de toda su cadena de valor”, indicó el mandatario durante la presentación al aseverar que la minería es una cuestión central en la provincia de Salta.
