Bonus! Based on this quick thing I did this afternoon and the idea took a bit more shape and turned into that thing from above uEK
#not too much effort on the colors with this one#o would’ve left it just with lineart but at the end I thought it would look nicer with some rough shadows#shadowing. you know what I meant.#his plant markings being extremely faint on his eyes when they aren’t glowing is very true to me also#I think itd be awesome if Vash’s eyes would just look like that when he isn’t masking#or they could be a bit more lax but still look like they are staring far far away into the void#or into your souls if you so happen to make eye contact with him. like woowoo over here#he is probably listening for one of his sisters who is not so close to him. maybe even Kni? who knows it’s up to interpretation#Vash’s hair can be such a nightmare also. I do not think of physics when drawing him whatsoever#I give him the Mickey Mouse ears treatment sometimes and some other I actually respect the fact that his hair will always be swept#to the right. if you haven’t noticed that yet. #loz#loz eow#the legend of zelda#echoes of wisdom#zelda#link#josh art tag#this took me waayyyy too long#but ive been meaning to do it for a while since honestly not long after posting my first design for Zelda#i ended up making this new one instead#so the last ref sheet has been outdated for a while#and people still reblog it sometimes!#i really like the new color palette for Zel#the last one just didnt feel as cohesive#also i love giving them brown eyes <3#like i am absolutely not trying to police how other people draw them or anything. at the end of the day its just eye color#but like#its a slight bummer when so many people give them blue eyes... a majority of links and zeldas have blue eyes (and blond/pale hair)#like the only real exception i can think of is botw/totk zelda having green eyes#and i get that pale hair and blue eyes do look good like they are a good combo#but i want some variety!! and with the toony artstyles u can choose any color and have it not necessarily be incorrect#with toony black eyes i usually go for brown/gray/black for eye color to sorta match the toony look somewhat#but i was also lowkey considering purple for zeldas eyes. cuz i could do anything really since all we have to go off of is toony black eyes#so like im not trying to be mean at all i just think its a missed opportunity to go for blue instead of other more unique options#and honestly blond and brown eyes is an underrated combo they look really good together#but yea so basically anyone who gives them brown eyes (or other unique colors) u r awesome and i appreciate u <3#but if u use blue thats valid too dont let me stop u if u really do like how they look with blue that isnt what im trying to do here

Depression can be wicked funny sometimes. Like wdym it ruined my life by sucking joy out of every one of my hobbies and interests, but I defeated it (temporarily) by drawing oc x canon. Got so sad I couldn’t draw anymore and hated it but I wanted to have images of those dorks kissing so bad I got back into drawing and out of my bed and now I’m doing much better. The power of yuri.

The Dandy with his Hand on his chest
I wanted to do a big piece before the month ended and I had been thinking on drawing a study of "The Nobleman with his Hand on his Chest" by El Greco with Slayer for a good while, because I adore that painting and believe it fits him, since it has a mysterious yet noble aura to me. Very dandy!
I love Slayer's Rev2 Color 4, so I got really happy when it returned as Color 10 in Strive, now with a very stylish nail polish, too.

It impacted me a lot#for a painting.. nowadays I feel it's awesome but again I still find it to have a bit of a mysterious aura. I hope this doesn't come off as#me going “I don't get this artwork so oooh it's scary!” but me thinking it has an aura that captivates your imagination#that being said I DID want MY version to be a bit unnerving or spooky because. color 10 slayer come on! I hope it worked#tried to do proper more complex lighting this time. I learnt a lot.. I def made the face's more dramatic but couldn't get the rest to look#the same plus I kinda like the face's contrasting with the rest of the lighting. also I do enjoy the end result of the body lighting#slayer's face is so tough.. that alone took me three days#idk what was going on w the background. it's a bit similar to my hos/ab.a pic's but fair enough#one day I'll learn to make complex detailed backgrounds. not today. it kind of came out like sm64d.s character portraits which could be a#bit unsettling for young me so it just works#sorry I enjoyed drawing this a lot so I have a lot of thoughts about it. thank you if you read. hope you enjoy the drawing :)#eye contact
